Angelina Jolie Serves Sikh
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie has been on a two-day visit to the Indian capital, listening to Sikh children playing religious music at the Khalsa Diwan Welfare Society in New Delhi, an organization run by Afghan refugees of the Sikh faith for other refugees. She chatted with students - some of the 9,500 Afghan refugees under the direct care of the UN refugee agency in India — about their passion for learning English and computer skills.

Angelina also made time to talk with a refugee woman from Myanmar in the one-room home she shares with her three children in New Delhi. The woman, one of the 1,750 refugees from Myanmar (formerly known as Burma) under the care of UNHCR in India, told Jolie that they had fled after her husband was arrested by Burma’s military government.

NEW DELHI: Giving papparazi the slip, Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie on Saturday spent some time with Sikh Afghan and Myanmarese refugees in the capital.
Accompanied by her five-year-old son Maddox, Jolie arrived in the capital just past noon and drove to the refugee camps run by the Khalsa Diwan Welfare Society and UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
Clad in a white T-shirt and blue jeans, Jolie, the UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador and her son listened to Sikh children playing religious music at the Welfare Society run by Afghan refugees of the Sikh faith.
She chatted with the students among some 9,500 Afghan Sikh refugees under the direct care of UNHCR and was appreciative of their passion for learning English and computer skills.
The Hollywood star, in India for shooting a film ‘A Mighty Heart’ on the life of slain Wall Street Journal correspondent Daniel Pearl, also visited a woman refugee from Myanmar in her one-room home where she lives with her three children.
The woman, one of the 1,750 refugees from Myanmar, told Jolie that they fled after her husband was arrested by the military government in Myanmar, a press statement issued by UNHCR said.
“I am grateful to the refugee families who spent time with me today and shared their stories. They are remarkable, courageous people, it quoted Jolie as saying.
Jolie, on a two-day visit here, will be meeting Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma on Sunday.
Jolie will be accompanied by UN officials at the meeting with Sharma and the discussions are expected to centre around issues relating to refugees and children.

Nietzsches sentence makes sense.
BUT not on Brad Pitts arm.
If Brad pitt thinks hes life is absurd, why did he adopt children?
THATS absurd
You didn’t understand the quote, sorry.
Thanks Brad’s fan.
So, that’s from AMH or philosophy. I got clue why Brad wanted Angelina to play in AMH. She is the one who could empathise with his love and respect.

Ok, since you’re waiting for someone to ask, “What exactly does this mean?”

Uh…I believe I gave the literal translations above. As for where he got it…I’m going to take a wild guess and say….a tattoo parlor? Nah…Maybe that’s too obvious…

How is angie gonna take of Z’s hair for goodness sakes is she gonna give her a perm or something what about her skin is she gonna use cocoa butter
======================================
Vanessa, your comments are too stupid for words. Z is a child, not some alien baby, she can use the same lotion as everyone else on the planet. As for her hair, you must be an alien yourself, no one in their right mind would put a perm on a baby! Sheesh!

NO, what’s obsurd is you. Brad didn’t say HIS LIFE was obsurd. LIFE is filled with obsurdities. Like it’s obsurd that you think Brad thinks his life is obsurd. What Brad probably thinks is obsurd is fame and the glass bubble he’s living in because of it. Then again, maybe he just liked the phrase!
PT, I bet what Brad thinks is obsurd is having to deal with the constant stupidity of people like Beatrice and Vanessa.
Passing through,
I would have told you, but you were very rude to Brad’s fan.
Good Morning/day(?)
I can never get that right….Anyhoo, since I slept most of the day away, I find myself wide awake (stupid cold medicine…renders useless) and like a good Bamzs fans, the only option is to drop by ( isn’t that the number rule in the Bamsville code of conduct (BOC)?). Okay…seriously, what happened to our pact not to have fun when I’m not here? Jeez, not only did you have fun, you got a clown too. well, it’s a good thing I don’t like clowns (ah ha!)….can’t stand ‘em. First off, they are not funny and they go on and on with the same routine…but you can’t tell them to stop….noooo, they see that as encouragement. I’ve found the best thing to do is just IGNORE them. I mean seriously, they are clowns, they don’t add anything of value to the convo and thank goodness Jared (God bless him) has made it real easy to spot ‘em. You see the name and merrily skip their idiotic posts. Don’t get me wrong…their posts usually makes for a good laugh but after a while (which for me is half way through the first post) it becomes boring. So I act like they are not there and soon enough, like someone said, they become WHITE NOISE.
Now to matters of importance, AJ is beautiful doing what she loves. I am very happy for the woman from Myanmar and her children….their lives is not gonna be the same. Some people ( and you know who they are) will expect instant results….like “AJ visited them on Saturday, why aren’t they living in a mansion on Sunday….see, it’s just photo-op, she didn’t do anything”…to us, this sounds silly but we have to understand these people don’t know any better and since the second rule in the Bamzsville code of conduct is to inform, I want to do my part this morning, so here goes….This is not a fairy tale and AJ is not a godmother with a magic wand. Often times, the feeling you get from the knowledge that someone out there cares for you and what you are going through, can give you the strength to forge ahead…there is hope and with that comes life. Even if this is the only thing (which we all know isn’t) achieved from this visit, we should still applaud AJ.
It NEVER ceases to amaze me how some people can ignore someone’s misfortune but quickly notice the most inconsequential thing. How do you read about refugee kids and the only thing that comes to your mind id nail polish and ugly feet? Are you KIDDING ME?!!! Jesus, look around you, there are uglier things happening in the world. Seriously….in the grand scheme of things….children starving, people dying, families left homeless…nail polish is…is goodness, it shouldn’t even be brought up. I really praise AJ for taking her son there; rest assured he is not going to grow up dismissive of others plight for something completely stupid. If only some people’s parent taught them that their privileged life style is not a right but SHEER LUCK, we won’t have to pause in our discussion to explain why nail polish is not of importance when people are DYING.
Goodness, I just looked at the time and it took me fifty minutes to types this…Ugghhh! I hate being sick. Oh well, nothing I can do now but to wish you all a happy and clown free Sunday ( I know, I know it’s too late since it’s Sunday already but that is the beauty of the third rule in the Bamzsville BOC….The day begins whenever you want it to…nice huh? :D
About Brad’s tattoo, I’ve copied this bradforums.net:
Fati @ BAFans found this. Perhaps this is where Brad got the quote:
QUOTE
At Home in the World
Collected Writings from The Wall Street Journal
By Daniel Pearl
Foreword by Mariane Pearl
Edited by Helene Cooper
The terrorists who killed Danny stood at the other extreme of what Danny represents. They could only wield their knife and cowardice against Danny’s intellectual courage and bold spirit. Danny died holding only a pen. They stole his life but were unable to seize his soul. By killing Danny, terrorists took my life as well but could not lay claim to my spirit. Dead and alive we will never let them win.
I wish you a good journey through Danny’s writings. It is my sincere hope that his spirit and values will radiate from all of you who he inspires. I hope that, like me, you will be able to laugh with Danny as he navigates you through the absurdités de l’existence. Mainly, I trust that Danny’s flame will keep burning in you as it does in me, his wife.

Hey PT and Me Too….I see you got the early shift, eh? what happened…did you guys overdose on cold medicine too?
Mee too…lmao@ Alien baby. You know Vanessa is just projecting her ignorance on others. Same goes to the people who carry on about AJ and BP treating their kids differently…this is what THEY would do, so they automaticall assume that’s what everyone will do. It’s quite a shock for them when the realize others have the capacity to love…regardless of Bio or adopted.
PT…you can’t tell me you didn’t laugh when you read beatrice’s post? Oh come on…I know it’s earky but you gotta see the the humor in the idiocy of that post. I’ve classified the “not a fan” posters into two groups…Stupid and Stupidly funny and Beatrice’s post definately falls in the latter category….think about it “if brad thinks his life is absurd, why did he adopt?….funny… huh…huh…I knew you’ll see it. =))

AG, it’s part of the “Obsurdities of Life” is it not?
Hello, kiki,AG and PT if you’re still here. I’m up cause I couldn’t sleep. So I’ve been reading the comments and crocheting. After reading/talking with these Fanistons/Non-Fans, it’s like talking with a blank wall, after a while you go blank by association.
So I’ll try to limit my responses to them. They never change and I’m the one to suffer! LOL!!!
Ughh! Meant EARLY not Earky (is that even a word?) I should go back from whence I came….bed.
kiki…thanks for that article, I love this part….

Mariane Pearl is an admirable woman, even in her grief, she managed to keep the focus on something else…..she could have easily made it about her own loss, thrown a pity party and tell the world how she was done wrong. Let’s be real…If anyone deserves a pity party…it’s MP. To lose a husband in the most gruesome way while pregnant with your first child….honestly, I’ll bring the party hats. Its amazing how people…women, didn’t rally round her, with their support and disdain for the people who caused her pain but they gather their skirts and run to the aid of a grown woman who got a divorce and spit venom on little children. Jeez, time for priority re-evaluation…although, I shouldn’t be that surprised, after all these are the same people who think nail polish and wearing the latest designer wear is appropriate for a visit to refugee camps .Oy, Heaven help us…this is my prayer this Sunday morning

AG, it’s part of the “Absurdities of Life” is it not?
It is THAT indeed. The other question is…Why don’t they see it? You say it’s like talking to a blank wall, I say it’s like trying to fill a basket with water….waste of time, energy and resources (brain power). You know, for the last few hours this song “love can keep us together” has been running through me head (it’s not like I know the lyrics or I can sing for that matter)…anyway, It’s going on, something occurred to me “Hate will keep us…well not us but THEM from thinking”. This kinda explains what is going on with Beatrice and her band of not so merry friends. By the way, I know how cheesy it sounds…blame it on the drowsiness ;)
I don’t know how much longer I can keep my eyes open. The funny thing is I have been awake since 2am and now that the **** is about to crow, I am nodding away like someone listening to a lecture on (insert any boring topic here). I tell ya…I have a good mind of making some coffee just to keep awake….of course, it means I’d have to drive around looking for a store open this early in the day, come home, put a kettle on, wait for the water to boil…make the coffee…wait for it to cool (don’t want to burn my tongue, you know) then take little sips…at this point it would probably be 7am, when I normally wake up to get ready for service…huh…maybe I should just go back to bed? Good decision, no?

From Calgary Sun:
HOLLYWOOD — Moviegoers have been gunning to see Brad Pitt as outlaw Jesse James for more than a year.
And now director Tony Scott — who produced The Assassination of Jesse James with his brother Ridley — tells the Sun the dark, sprawling western, co-starring Casey Affleck as James’ killer, will be released in February.
A few months ago, a minimalist trailer announced the duster, which was filmed around Calgary and Edmonton last fall, would be out in September.
Just weeks later, and rather unceremoniously, the project was bumped into the nether regions of 2007.
This sort of scheduling move usually indicates, at best, what a dark lord of the Sith might describe as a “disturbing lack of faith” on the part of the studio.
At worst, it’s a portent of a deeply troubled production.
Not so, says Scott, director of such testosterone-fuelled actioners as True Romance and Man on Fire.
(Ridley’s no slouch either, having helmed, among others, Alien, Gladiator and Blade Runner.)
“It’s great. We have to be careful how we market it because it’s like a Terrence Malick film,” he says, referring to the legendary director of such visually sumptuous epics as The Thin Red Line and The New World.
“But it’s really good and Brad’s terrific in it — he just gets better with age.”
In addition to Pitt and Affleck, The Assassination of Jesse James also stars Sam Rockwell, Sam Shepard, Mary-Louise Parker and Zooey Deschanel.
Scott, an avid rock climber, is no stranger to Calgary, frequently coming here to shoot commercials for the overseas markets — when he’s not scaling mountains.
“I love it there.”
Crapity crap…I meant “talk” but that’s besides the point…So, what do you mean? What’s going on? Are you going out of town (the country) and you’ll be unable to post?
