UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie shook hands earlier this morning with India’s Junior Minister for External Affairs, Anand Sharma in New Delhi, India. During the press conference, Angelina lauded India’s help to the refugees: “The wonderful thing that I have learned since I have been in India is there are many, many needs for your own people and yet you have all been so gracious and been so open to so many refugees over the years. I have also since I have been here spent time with Indian people and we spoke about concerns for disabled people, children and orphans.” More pictures in the gallery!
NOTE :: It’s also rumored that Brad Pitt is in the market for the Kaufman House in Palm Springs, CA, built by modernism’s most important architects, Richard Neutra. It is privately owned and Brad put in a bid. Obviously, a very important house architecturally.

Thanks for the new BAMZS thread. Like bdj above, I always check your site first thing in the a.m., whether at home or at work, for the latest news about BAMZS. When the dreaded message comes up, “cannot find server” I know that your site is offline again and I have to go to either other sites which at best yields mixed results for me. I hope you have solved your server problems — and even though I do not quite like the way your blog now looks, as long as you’re up I don’t really care!
I hope BAMZS are now traveling back to the U.S. I am glad though that despite her hectic schedule, Angie finds the time to keep up with her humanitarian duties.

Not that I’m starting anything, but I think so too. I could be completely wrong and I’m willing to admit it if I am, unlike tabloids, etc. And I’m certainly not entitled to know, one way or the other.
Not too may celebrites can look this good without makeup. I think that it would be more of an insult to go on an official meeting with your face fully painted and not respecting the culture. From reading the news article, the Minister was quite taken with Angelina and impressed with her knowledge about the Refugee Crisis in his Country and internationally. He extended his appointed time with AJ. AJ carries out her UN duties with grace and dedication. Many celebrites can learn from her.
I wonder why she always carries Maddox around? He is five years old and too old to be hauling around like a baby. I think she likes the image it creates.

Asiana, there is nothing wrong with what Angie is wearing. Angie will always be beautiful even if she is wearing a sack on her body. Her kind of beauty does not rely on fancy clothes or accessories. Her beauty does not need any enhancement, or you might day of envy.
I dont think she’s pregnant. Her clothing is very respectful to the Indian people.
One thing I like about Angie is that she is NOT high maintenance. You wont see her in designer clothes and bags during the day on her daily routine. She dresses approprietly. Whe she is at the red carpet, she will dress up for the ocassion. She looks beautiful even without make up. She is beautiful inside and out.

The actress listened to music by Afghan Sikh refugees in New Delhi
Actress Angelina Jolie has taken a break from filming in India to meet refugees from Afghanistan and Burma.
The star toured a refugee camp in New Delhi as part of her role as goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR).
She also met India’s Junior Foreign Minister Anand Sharma and praised the country’s stance towards refugees.
The actress took her Cambodian-born five-year-old son Maddox to the refugee camp, where she spoke to Sikhs who had been forced out of Afghanistan by the Taleban.
Indian minister Anand Sharma spent 85 minutes with Jolie
They also visited the one-room home of a woman who fled Burma when her husband was arrested by the government.
“I am grateful to the refugee families who spent time with me and shared their stories,” she said in a statement from the UNHCR. “They are remarkable, courageous people.”
After discussions with Mr Sharma, she said she was impressed by India’s tolerance.
“The wonderful thing that I have learned since I have been in India is there are many needs for your own people and yet you have all been so gracious and been so open to many, many refugees over the years,” she said.
“Another important thing is always encouraging people from different parts of the world and different religions and cultures to maintain who they are and their own language.”
Non-violence
Mr Sharma said: “We discussed the Indian tradition and Mahatma Gandhi’s principles of peace and non-violence, which continue to be very much relevant even today.”
India is home to more than 160,000 refugees, mostly from China and Sri Lanka, according to the UNHCR.
Jolie is filming The Mighty Heart, in which she plays the wife of the Wall Street Journal reporter whose abduction and beheading shocked the world.

JJ- thank you for these beautiful pictures. Also thanks to those that provided the extra links. Angelina is such an inspiration. Maddox really is having fun in that picture with the other kids. Aw he has a chain like his daddy; loved that he was wearing the UNHCR’s logo on the hat and polo. I love this family.
One of the beauties of old age is that you get to have so many marvelous memories. Today as I read about AJ in India with the Sikhs, I am recalling a sweet memory of AJ ( that is all I ever knew him as) and Debbie Sikh. They carpooled with us for six years. Their marriage had been an arranged marriage. Debbie was one of the younger daughters of a family of nine and the oldest daughter had not yet been married off. AJ’s family arranged for the marriage for one of the daughters but did not specify. AJ of course told his father that he very much would like it to be Debbie. The wedding day arrives and the bride is covered from head to toe in beautiful fabric but AJ has no idea which daughter it is. Not until after the ceremony when the fabric is removed does he realize that his father came through for him. Well it takes them about two years to really fall in love and then they have two sons. By this time they are living in the USA and are homesick for their parents to visit. So they hatch a joke. AJ calls his parents and Debbie calls hers and they tell them they can’t make the marriage work. Within a week both sets of parents are in the USA. They meet them at the airport laughing and explaining to them that they just missed them and they knew that if their parents thought they were in trouble, they would be there in a heartbeat.
I can see Angelina bringing all the kids on these trips with her as they get older.
But I agree it is great that Maddox goes from playing soccer in the Hollywood Hills to playing with toys in India with such ease with the same delightful smile on his face. Kids are kids.

I already said this before and I think Angie is right to let her son Maddox join her in UNHCR for Maddox to be able to learn and know what could his life be without Angie and Brad and from that he can learn with Angie this good work and sooner or later when he grew up he will help others in his own just like his hot mom and pap!!! I like it that she is training her kid to play with poor children, too and Mad’s seems at ease with them. I think he also played with bush men children in Namibia. In which, they wont grow up spoiled and discriminating. Im sure Mad’s playmates in school in LA are mostly well-off.

Some people are criticising Angie for not letting Maddox having friends because they travel too much. But here he is paying and interacting with kids in his age in India. How such a simple thing as three kids playing together can be such an eye opener. Cause that’s the whole point. Madd is making friends from all over the world by travelling with his parents and that’s the best way for him to learn about other cultures and how the kids in his age are living in other countries and how different his life is comparing to them. Madd will be very efficient and educated about such things in the future and this will help him to not put him self on any pedestal because his parents are famous and he will be fully aware of what is really happening in this world! That’s what Brad and Angie want to achieve. Zee and Shi are still little babies and it would be to much for them right now but I’m sure when they will grow older they will have the same experiences. All of the kids will truly be citizens of the WORLD!

i love the she looks bad / no she looks great with no makeup on flame thread! ha ha drama. if you look at the close up pics you see she does have makeup on (mascara, lipgloss, foundation, maybe a little eyeliner)… she looks ok but usually looks better… it helps if she washed her hair or just tied it up at least. that only makes me think that she must be pretty busy and running around from place to place, or got up late to go meet the prime minister…and i guess after being photographed a zillion times i would stop caring so much too about every detail. aj and brad pitt are pretty grungy at times. anyways great pics!

I wanted to add that a “rumor” going around is that Sin City 2 will not be made anytime soon if ever, that the crew has been told that, and that the main reason is that Angie is pregnant and has told RR that she is unavailable due to her pregnancy. There has been talk since January of this year that RR wanted Angie for SC2 as “Ava Lord”, was waiting for her to have Shiloh and recover, and then would make SC2. This was never confirmed by Angie or RR but was talked about by several people who were in Sin City. Make of that what you will, remember it is only a “RUMOR”.

I don’t know if I can pick just one. At first I was going to say the Japanese storyline because the young girl seemed so lost and angry. Lost in a world without sound, without the one person who was probably the most important to her and angry that life is so effing unfair. Then I think of the two Moroccan boys and their love for each other and their father and just how dangerous a time childhood can be. Then the Mexican nanny just broke my heart. She was trying to do the best she could with what she had but one seemingly innocent decision cost her so much. And finally Richard and Susan - this storyline isn’t about her getting shot its about a marriage finding its way back from the brink. LOL Obviously, I loved the movie and am having a hard time answering your question, so I’ll stop.

Maniston - The whole movie touched me and i felt for EVERY SINGLE character, but somehow the way the nanny/mexican story ended just really got to me….i can see this happening to sooo many people (in real life)…. It was a GREAT movie…. it better win some awards….

I know what you mean Maniston, it is very hard to pick, especially when the movie is so great all over, the Japanese’s story was very sad for me as well, but I was really touched by the nanny’s story, the movie was just fantastic all over, everybody was great. I just love this movie, and I am expecting good things come awards season for it

Angelina looks a little tired (who wouldn’t considering she’s raising three kids, papz stalking her, doing UNHCR work, working on a movie, traveling, have a relationship with Brad with so much scrutiny) but still she looks beautiful. =)
This is why I admire her. She always finds time to do what she loves and that she includes Maddox in her visit to the refugees’ homes is wonderful. Maddox is rocking that cap and looks so cute playing with those kids.
I can’t help but half way agree with those who think she is pregnant again.

She may be pregnant or may be just tired, she still manages to look lovely. I love that she brought Maddox with her. Seeing how comfortable he is playing with those other children shows me he has gotten lots of interactions with kids. If he was “just being dragged from place to place” I would think he would act a lot shyer around other children. He’s such a cutie!
I have 3 children, two boys and a girl. My younger son was born when his brother was not quite 11 months old. Believe me, my husband and I were not trying to see how fast we could have another baby. It just happened. I was on birth control, I was breast feeding.. no explanation other then God had other plans. My son might have been a surprise, but he was and is a joyful one.
Time will tell if another Jolie-Pitt is on the way.

That picture kinda summarizes what AJ and BP are all about….they may have millions in their bank accounts but deep down they get that what they have is not their right…..it’s the luck of the draw…I hate to put it like that but that’s what it is. Thanks a million Jared, for these beautiful pictures! OMG!! Her beauty and inner radiance simply takes my breath away. I love how she blends her UNHRC work with her other jobs, movie actress, and mother of three gorgeous childrens. Thank you Jared and Audrey for the lovely pictures. I am always amazed at how much living she packs into her life. Surely, if anyone deserves a rest, it is Angelina, with the kids and the movie shoot, but, no, she takes her weekend and visits refugees. I didn’t know that India had taken in Afghani refugees. It sounds like they have quite an operation going there. I like that she takes Maddox to her UNHCR meetings when appropriate. There’s no way he will be Paris II with these two as his parents.
I really hope she isn’t pregnant. It’s too soon. Shiloh deserves a little time to be the “only” baby. Eh. If she is, I know they will make the same efforts to make Shi secure, just like Maddox and Zahara.

You know MP and AJ are close and their sons are friends and the same age. Trying to live through what MP did while she was pregnant watching your husband executed on video, this is what she is working on right now. Just thinking about it drives me nuts, how would you feel if you had to try and live those moments and do justice to MP and DP’s memories. it has to be very stressful, then she has leave and come to the kids and try to forget it. Guli, you make a very good point. This is a very emotionally draining film.. and Angie has always thrown herself into her roles so completely. It could be as simple as that. It doesnt have to mean she is pregnant. angie is one of those naturally thin people who can lose weight easily when understress or when busy. has been revealed that Romeo Beckham, 4, the middle son of David Beckham and Victoria Beckham has epilepsy. After a variety of stints in hospital since he was one, their doctor confirmed that he has the brain condition that causes seizures/convulsions. Sufferers of the condition often have to take medication for the rest of their lives and in the worst case scenario, a seizure can lead to possible death.
This was revealed after photographers tried to get photos of Romeo at the airport last week. Romeo furiously covered his face and once in the car, Victoria tried to protect him. She then angrily told the photographers, “He’s got epilepsy…all that flashing will start an epileptic fit…you can’t do that.”
The photographers were from Splash News and the owner Kevin Smith announced that they will no longer be photographing Romeo or his family when he is in their company. Adding that, “No photo is worth putting a child’s life in danger.”
We now have the policy that we no longer post photos where parents or the child are attempting to shield themselves from photographers. We will therefore not be posting these pictures. Angelina Jolie has been taking a break from filming to do some work for refugees in India.
She met Anand Sharma, the Minister of State for External Affairs, to talk about the difficulties faced by refugees in the country.
The actress is a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Refugee Agency.
This was Jolie’s first official engagement in the country, where she is filming A Mighty Heart, a movie about the life of journalist Daniel Pearl, who was abducted and murdered in Pakistan in 2002.
Accompanied by UN officials, Mrs Brad Pitt praised India’s efforts to help refugees from across the world and said she was grateful for the chance to talk to the Indian Government.

I wanted to add that a “rumor” going around is that Sin City 2 will not be made anytime soon if ever, that the crew has been told that, and that the main reason is that Angie is pregnant and has told RR that she is unavailable due to her pregnancy. There has been talk since January of this year that RR wanted Angie for SC2 as “Ava Lord”, was waiting for her to have Shiloh and recover, and then would make SC2. This was never confirmed by Angie or RR but was talked about by several people who were in Sin City. Make of that what you will, remember it is only a “RUMOR”.

LOL! I find it amazing that Robert Rodriguez wants Angie so badly that he’d postpone production indefinitely! GMAFB. RR DOES have his hands full with that mess of a film that he’s co-directing with Quentin Tarantino. The other reason I find it hard to believe that he’d hold up the film a second time for Angie is that there’s already rumblings about a SC3! If Angie’s not available they’ll just recast the role. The studio wants to capitalize on this movie while it’s still semi-fresh in the public’s minds. They’re not going to want to wait forever for Angie. Plus, even if she is preggers she wouldn’t be available for SC2 afterwards because she’s committed to doing Atlas Shrugged, which they hope to film next year after Randall Wallace finishes the new script (he wrote Braveheart).
BTW - if Angie is preggers…big deal. I’ve got 6 siblings…most of us are only 15 - 20 months apart! My mother had 4 kids in 7 years! So that means that by the time one of us was 6 or 7 months old…she was knocked up again! People do it all the time…and on purpose.
They can have or adopt as many children as they want to. They certainly have the means and support to do it.

But on the positive side of that, in some parts of the world, they have finally moved beyond all the controversy of their initial union to the point that people think they’re married because they’re always together and so ubiquitous as a couple.

I don’t need to read any articles about what she “says” she’s doing over there in another country. My eyes are very good. She’s hardly ever completely bare-faced. When she is, she looks very different. She looks really soft. That’s the look when you have washed off “every trace” of your makeup. Of course, bare-faced she’s not nearly as ugly as you are, but she doesn’t look like she does in the above photo. As for her lips, maybe in this pic she’s wearing Vaseline, I can’t be sure, but most of the time, Jolie wears lipstick or lip color. Her lips are not very attractive bare. Lipstick is a must for her. I like how even though she’s prettier than most people, she doesn’t get careless with herself.
Jili, are you on crack? LOL Angie’s lips are VERY attractive ‘bare.’ You wish you had such lips. Matter of fact, Angelina has said her lips are very red sans lipstick (something MOST women would KILL for), and to tone them down she’ll wear lipstick that isn’t very vibrant, like beigey pinks…she used to wear grey or very nude lipstick when younger so her lips wouldn’t take over her face, now of course she doesn’t care so much, and doesn’t feel as if she has to hide her light. Which is why she’ll sometimes just smear some vaseline or chapstick/clear gloss over them, and it just LOOKS as if she’s wearing lipstick.

I don’t think Angie nor Brad would care if they were no longer “pretty” or “gorgeous”, which is why they wear grungy and same-old-same-old clothes all the time. If they truely cared, they could look smashing, down-right f*cking beautiful with a tinsy bit of effort, but it’s just not important.

Not so much…Ashley Judd has done humanitarian work longer than Angelina and has received not nearly as much publicity as she has…Why do celebrities continue to adopt children overseas? I understand that they are well-intentioned and my heart goes out to those children who live in Third World countries…However, why not look in our own backyard? How many children in America are suffering…lack of funds to our schools…I don’t know. I just don’t get it and perhaps I never will. I do respect Angelina and her work…I wish her the best, but I wish the focus would be redirected elsewhere…
Angelina is one of the two most beautiful, elegant, sophisticated celebrity out there today (the other one is Charlize Theron) But what makes Angelina even more beautiful is the things she does for the world, for the children and for many like myself inspiring us to do better and to be aware of what’s going on in the world. AJ & BP are such wonderful beautiful people which I deeply admire even though I don’t know them personally and probably and unfortunately never wil. Good things happen to good people. God WILL protect them and will bless them again and again for all they do.

Please….gave you one good answer and I’m going to give you another. In the case of Angelina and Madonna, they are also endowing the communities they adopt children from. So what? So maybe they are stopping the evolving of the next AlQueda. That’s funny you should say that Sandy - as when I saw her wearing that jacket, I had the exact OPPOSITE reaction, and thought she COULD be pregnant. It’s funny to see such a famous woman and say - OMG, that’s her tan jacket she wore to the Scott Cahn art gallery showing. Angie is so down to earth, and not worried about wearing things more than once, especially if she really loves the item or it’s serving a purpose. This is the THIRD time I’ve seen her in it, and my thoughts on that jacket is that it could PERFECTLY hides a bump. It hit’s the top of her thighs, comes down over her jeans waistband, and kind of flares out. How you can say you don’t see a bump looking at THESE pics I have no idea, because everything is covered and you can’t see a thing, which is what AJ might want if she’s trying to hide a bump. …and if you’re looking anywhere else than her waist area (her bump when she’s pregnant is up high, almost near her waist) people familiar with pats preg pics of her, know you can tell nothing by Angie’s hips and legs when she’s preg - they remained as slim as ever even when she was 7 months pregnant.

The Pitts: Hard Work before the Holidays
Seriously …look at this woman. Barely a trace of makeup, no special lighting, no special digitized Oprah cameras giving the illusion of perfection – Just Angelina, gorgessity in its purest from. Next to this, Gisele Bundchen doesn’t even stand a chance, never mind Jennifer Aniston.
A weekend apart for the Pitts: Brad returned to LA for the Babel premiere, Angelina stayed back in India to annoy Madonna with a new humanitarian photo opp.
As you know, the Pitts have been hard at work – stumping for the poor, building houses for the poor, selling movies, making movies, annoying locals, raising their children… a busy fall for the Chosen Family and come Holiday Season, a luxurious vacay would likely do the Pitts good.
Have heard exclusively from multiple sources that inquiries have been made for a trip the Tropics. Three resort destinations in particular: St John USVI, St Kitts, and Costa Rica. They need an entire floor – two in one case – room for bodyguards and nannies (rumoured to be 3), private access to all facilities, with a special request to seal certain sections off from other patrons, and a fleet of vehicles at their disposal.
The problem right now is that, naturally, at that time of year, hotels are often booked to capacity and in order to accommodate the Pitt requests, many guests may have to be directed elsewhere. Each resort is doing its best to manage all expectations, looking into offering existing clients even sweeter deals as alternatives so that they might be able to entice the Pitts and the Publicity Train that inevitably follows but so far, nothing has been confirmed.

So sorry, I didn’t mean anything bad, I really admire Angie and I think she’s very down-to-earth, like none celebrity. I just said my opinion about her look at the airport- I don’ think she looks pregnant, but I would be very happy if she is. When Shiloh was on the way, I agree untill she was 5th months preg, there was nothing that could be seen, so let’s hope it’s the same this time. But if they are NOT preg right now, they will have all the time in this world to make (and addopt) more kids. As soon as Pappa Pitt comes back to India!

It wasn’t a “vial” of blood. It was little locket with a piece of fabric in it that had a drop of blood on the fabric. That VF interview attacked Angie’s character and way exaggerated these things, making it sound like the girl went around with a unit of blood hanging from her neck and that she had a penchant for “brotherly incest”. Geez, all she did was kiss her brother with a very closed mouth on the lips. Nothing was wrong or dirty about that, but the tabloids demonized something very innocent and innocuous.
And don’t even get me started on this whole cheating thing…..I do beleive Brad fell in love with Angie PDQ, but these idiots equate being in love with someone to immediately throwing them to the floor and fu@king their brains out. I think Angie thought brad was unavailable, so she let her guard down with him, she was comfortable with him, and the feelings between them grew and grew, until he knew he had to be with her. I think they finally had a physical relationship somewhere around February 05, by March 05 for sure. At Showest it was obvious they were now intimate. They both look like the cat that swallowed the canary there, but Brad was legally separated and the divirce was underway. I see him as being free to pursue Angie at that point.
