OlderAngelina Jolie’s External Affairs
UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie shook hands earlier this morning with India’s Junior Minister for External Affairs, Anand Sharma in New Delhi, India. During the press conference, Angelina lauded India’s help to the refugees: “The wonderful thing that I have learned since I have been in India is there are many, many needs for your own people and yet you have all been so gracious and been so open to so many refugees over the years. I have also since I have been here spent time with Indian people and we spoke about concerns for disabled people, children and orphans.” More pictures in the gallery!
NOTE :: It’s also rumored that Brad Pitt is in the market for the Kaufman House in Palm Springs, CA, built by modernism’s most important architects, Richard Neutra. It is privately owned and Brad put in a bid. Obviously, a very important house architecturally.

Thanks a million Jared, for these beautiful pictures! OMG!! Her beauty and inner radiance simply takes my breath away. I love how she blends her UNHRC work with her other jobs, movie actress, and mother of three gorgeous childrens. That pic of Mad is so sweet, the way he plays so comfortably with those children, whom he has probably only just met. Shows how secure, and confident, he must be, for a child his age. Way to go Madd.
Thanks for the all the reviews of Babel from those lucky ones who have already seen it. I can’t wait for next weekend. I heard that Borat was No. 1 this weekend at the box office.
IF Angie is really pregnant again, that will be so incredibly wonderful!! She does have a look in those beautiful eyes that makes me think that she might be.
I wonder when the flipside of the ‘Angie looks pale/thin because she’s going through morning sickness’ debate is going to start. I’m sure that we will be bombarded with ‘Angie is flaunting her morning sickness/pregnancy’ accusations, if she is, indeed, pregnant. The circus of absurdity is a traveling one, you know.

I also want to add something. Looking at the furnishing of her (Japanese girl) apartment, and her father’s hunting trip in Morocco, she is from a weathy family. But with all those crazy things she did, she must be very empty insdie. That makes me say that even with all the material things given to her, they just cant fill her void.

ITA, she might be pregnant. It’s early after three kids under 5, but hey they got all the baby gear now, might as well use them (strollers, car seats, etc. etc. etc.). Jolie did say they will adopt more but also have a few more of her own (Davos interview I think). Well Brad sure did get what he wished for. He said his wins are his wins and losses are his losses, and he likes that. Looks like all win-win except for that “Minivan majority”, but even those are coming around with Brad looking undoubtly a very, very happy family man.

NEW DELHI: This was another Angelina Jolie. The hypnotic pull of glamour and flashes of the winsome smile notwithstanding, the beauty who walked into Hyderabad House here on Sunday talked of sheltering refugees and destitute, not about her shooting schedule or Hollywood.
Resplendent in the mellow November sun, the glamour girl had seamlessly transformed into a goodwill ambassador of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. After an hour of talks with external affairs MoS Anand Sharma, Jolie paid fulsome tribute to India’s commitment to the cause of refugees.
“The wonderful thing that I have learned since I have been in India is there are many needs for your own people and yet you have been so gracious and been so open to many many refugees over the years,” said Jolie.
The paparazzi, however, was still at its persistent best. While Jolie’s visit to the UNHCR Women’s Protection Clinic and the Khalsa Diwan Welfare Society on Saturday went virtually unnoticed, the press was more than prepared on Day 2 of her Delhi visit.
Reporters and OB vans lined up outside the Imperial Hotel, where Jolie was staying with her son Maddox. Unfortunately for them, the Tomb Raider star was whisked away in a three-car entourage before anybody could catch a glimpse. The media was determined to get Jolie to pose for them, and the lady eventually obliged. The hour-long wait in the Hyderabad House courtyard was totally worth it when she stepped out with Anand Sharma.

NEW DELHI: Wearing hawai chappals, a simple black skirt and t-shirt, and a printed grey shawl thrown casually around her shoulders, Angelina Jolie was a picture of poise as minister of state for external affairs Anand Sharma, addressed the waiting media.
Shutterbugs snapped continuously as Angelina stood fidgeting with her heart-shaped gold ring, oblivious to all the attention she was getting.
When it was her turn to speak, Jolie said she was honoured to be in a country of varied cultures and languages and urged the people of India to keep their unique identity and not ape anybody else.
Impressed by the country’s records in accommodating the homeless from elsewhere, Jolie said there was a lot to write home about India’s efforts in this direction.
“India should be commended for all that has been done and I am grateful to the Indian people; we have agreed to work together,” she said. After the meeting, Jolie was rushed back to the hotel, from where she left for the airport.
Already in India for about a month for the shooting of a film on the life of journalist Daniel Pearl, abducted and killed by a terrorist group in Pakistan, this was Jolie’s first official interface. She was accompanied by UN officials.
Jolie also talked about her meetings with refugees from Afghan-istan and Myanmar on Saturday. Sharma, on his part, reminded her of the continuing relevance of Mahatma Gandhi as a symbol of aspirations for peace and promoting non-violence.

If she did, she wouldn’t have evaded the paparazzi and her visit go virtually unnoticed by the press. Since all of you disciples are not blind, surely you have noticed she wears Black constantly! If it was Jennifer Anniston doing it, you would have found plenty of comments, and negative, to make by now. Because it is your glorious idol, you don’t have anything to say. I just find it very odd and strange that she is constantly wearing black, and didn’t she do that for years when she was in her weirdo mental stage?

Is there any doubt that AJ knows what she’s doing? Contrary to what some people want to believe, she not some bubble head with a title. She meets with president, Prime ministers and Village Chiefs, has in depth discussion with them and they all leave with the same impression….awe. I say more power to her.

Thank you Jared and Audrey for the lovely pictures. I am always amazed at how much living she packs into her life. Surely, if anyone deserves a rest, it is Angelina, with the kids and the movie shoot, but, no, she takes her weekend and visits refugees. I didn’t know that India had taken in Afghani refugees. It sounds like they have quite an operation going there. I like that she takes Maddox to her UNHCR meetings when appropriate. There’s no way he will be Paris II with these two as his parents.
I really hope she isn’t pregnant. It’s too soon. Shiloh deserves a little time to be the “only” baby. Eh. If she is, I know they will make the same efforts to make Shi secure, just like Maddox and Zahara.

It IS none of your business. There is nothing wrong in a fan hoping or wishing Angie may be pregnant again. But you wrote what you thought Angie SHOULD do. Should implies a judgement. Hoping and wishing are not judgements.
This is why someone said it wastn your business to tell someone else what they SHOULD or SHOULD NOT do as far as adding to their family.

I dont think Angie is pregnant. I think one has to take a look at the Indian clothing. They are loose. Plus, the weather in India is hot. When the weather is hot, people just dont have that much of an appetite. May be a search on Indian traditional clothing and the shoes which the Indian wears will help our understanding.
