All the rumors and tell-tell signs are pointing to AJ being pregnant- hmmm. I hope that she is able to relax and take care of herself. Hopefully, the filming of the Movie is almost complete. LOS ANGELES — Far away from the sands of the Moroccan desert where the big-screen drama Babel begins, stars of the film gathered to celebrate Sunday at Westwood’s Mann Village Theatre.
Babel, which opens nationwide Friday, stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett as an American couple touring Morocco who find themselves struggling to get help after she is the victim of an unintentional crime. Theirs is just one story in the movie that ties together four groups of people from around the world.

Director Alejandro González Iñárritu, who also directed 2003’s 21 Grams, said he hopes audiences are moved by the film. “I hope this brings human emotion and compassion. It’s a film about humanity and hope.”

Blanchett said, “It’s a film about miscommunication. I believe the audience will be given a chance to meditate on human frailty.”

Pitt agreed. “There’s an undercurrent in this film about our inability to understand each other.”

However, Blanchett had a clear understanding of just why so many people were at the screening. Just as she stopped on the red carpet to talk, the crowd roared. “Oh, Brad must be here,” said the actress, who was wearing a gold dress by Ralph Lauren.

She described Pitt, who plays her husband in the film, as “a brilliant risk taker as an actor, and it is a testament to his versatility that he is being consistently rediscovered.”

Iñárritu also praised Pitt’s work. He “did an amazing job in a very intense role. These were tough conditions to be working in and working with actors who spoke” different languages.

Other celebrities who attended the screening: Camryn Manheim, Jacqueline Bisset, Josh Lucas and Maria Conchita Alonso.

Manheim talked about the man of the hour. “I have no doubt that Brad Pitt is going to one day be recognized as one of the best actors of our generation.”

Asked whom she would pick if she had to choose between Babel stars Pitt and Gael García Bernal (who didn’t attend the screening because he was in London working on another film), Alonso said, “I would not have either one of them as a boyfriend, but I think they’re both very hot. I like someone with more edge like Gary Oldman or a bad boy like Viggo Mortensen. For me, it’s more than just a pretty face.”

Still, Pitt, who attended the event without girlfriend Angelina Jolie, was humbled by the accolades. “It’s nicer than when they’re bashing you,” he said. “I’ve heard that, too.”

X didn’t make no botty calls in London. She made a “see if I can keep my name in the tabloids” call. If she and VV had anything remotely resembling sex I’d be shocked out of my Keds. They probably played Canasta for those 2 days. Actually it was only 1 night because according to US Weely they went to a play on the second night. And on the 3rd day X was seen at the hotel spa getting a facial on her fugly mug while VV went back to the movie set and then she headed back to the US. How many women who haven’t seen their man in 59 days are going to let his ass out of the hotel after 1 night? Yeah…they played canasta and then she brought her ass back to the State. US Weekly has probably already started their next countdown!

Brad Pitt is a great actor. I like Johnny too and don’t see why they have to compete. You can like them both.

I especially like Johnny now because he’s really into his kids as well. I think it’s cool.

Brad looks great here. I think he has gotten so much better with age. He might not have that “native indian blood” in him as you say (he might though, his family is from Missouri and a lot of people from the Midwest have Native Indian ancestry too, like myself, though I’m mostly just Black). I think all ethnicities look great even with age and Brad looks best with more rugged features. His features were so sharp when he was younger, age just refines him. I love it.

Exactly! Sleep? He can sleep on the plane. Time zones and jet lag be damned! He’s got to get back to his Angel and their babies. I bet it killed him to have to go in the first place, and I also think maybe AMH is running a bit behind schedule. I think they knew he would have to go this Babel premiere, and possibly they thought Angie would be wrapped already and they could come home together. I just can’t see him coming back to LA alone as being part of the original plan.

HOLLYWOOD superstar Angelina Jolie’s campaign to promote equal access to education has yielded results in the dusty streets and shacks of Swakopmund’s DRC settlement.

Jolie donated U$15 000 (about N$111 000) to the DRC School Project and Community Centre when she, Brad Pitt and their two adopted children visited Namibia earlier this year.

On Friday, staff members of the modest, privately run DRC School officially thanked the celebrity couple in their absence, while the young pupils eagerly unpacked the crates of books that were bought with the money.

“Their donation … helps to ensure that over 30 children will be able to receive an education through this project in the upcoming year,” said Ivanna Iafigliola-Kriner, who founded the project along with her husband, Mike.

“All children attending the programme will now have their own English, Reading and Maths textbooks,” she said.

“We would also like to thank all of the companies and individuals who have supported us through 2006.”

The rest of the money will be spent on teachers’ salaries for next year.

Since opening its doors some two years ago, the arrangement of brightly coloured bulk containers that were converted into two classrooms and an office has brought a measure of hope to the neglected, impoverished community of more than 2 000 residents.

The school now provides education to about 30 children between the ages of six and 12 years, who previously had little hope of formal schooling.

Two qualified teachers were appointed on a full-time basis last year.

A few wooden shacks behind the schoolhouse small businesses such as a barbershop and a sewing centre where entrepreneurs can get income-generating projects off the ground.

Besides the adult literacy programme and health information offered at the community centre, it is a regular meeting place where people can discuss community issues.

It is odd that X and VV would stay in a hotel when he has a house at his disposal. It seems to be a move to ‘prove’ that she was actually there- a paper trail instead of pics. I do remember seeing a pic of X and VV leaving a theatre seperately, which is strangely ironically since People trumpeted that X was ‘defending their love’. I can completely understand protecting your love from interlopers, but if you’re together, why not exit your common destination together? Outside of security concerns, there really aren’t many reasons to do that, except to get people talking, like I’m doing right now.

I have seen two video links of the Babel Premeire in LA and I can’t help but notice how Brad is so down to earth. He takes time to sign autographs for his fans, hug a few and even amiably answer questions. For his very elite stature in Hollywood, it so refreshing to see someone like him so humble and so nice especially to his fans.

I’ve been watching this website for a specific reason. I am a sociologist and I am currently writing a piece on fan behavior.
Pls don’t get me wrong folks, I am not judging anyone.
I am truly interested though in one thing. Perhaps someone can answer me honestly.
Why do all these people who post on this site spend so much time talking, gossiping and judging normal people like AJ and BP?
These two people have a real job which is acting, and else they just live their lives, have kids and do normal things, like everyone of us does.
Also like everyone else they look sometimes great, when there is professional help at hand, sometimes they look crap like we all do.
One likes their movies or not, one finds them attractive or not, ok.
But why is the life of this particular family of interest to so many of you.
There are other actors and musicians out who look good.
Why are you guys so obsessed with every single move and look.
I saw the two of them once in real life. AJ is slim and very tiny, she looks a lot taller in pictures and Brad is good looking, but so is my husband and a lot of other men.
Believe me normal people like you and me.
So please answer me, many thanks, really appreciated.

Hey guys, I just dropped by Trent’s pink is the new blog and man, I can’t believe how heartless and selfish people can be. Yesterday, he witnessed a very fatal hit and run accident and so understandably, he wasn’t ( and still is) not in the mood to post about gossip he turned off his comments that day. Well, he updated today (it was only about the accident) explaining what happened and he also said he turned off the comments section for now because believe it or not people have e-mailed insulting, and very rude messages about him not updating. I mean, the man witnessed a horrific accident where a woman lost her LIFE and all they care about is him not commenting on the gossip of the day! They act as if they’re aren’t any blogs out there too. I personally find it very disgusting that people can be so cruel.

I too, have been lurking for almost two years now in this blog as part of the book that I was writing about. To answer your question, from what I’ve learned from the regular posters and the newbees, the fascination towards Angelina and Brad Pitt, seems to be about two beautiful (very famous and powerful) people who found love against all odds. Not only they both endured all criticisms from tabloid, rumormongers and the media, but it actually made them more powerful and strong as a couple along with their adorable children. Their commitment to each other and their family seemed to have mesmerized the public, and their passion to humanitarian causes, has continued to inspire all their fans across the globe. Mind you, their fans are sophisticated, intelligent and highly witted people that will literally fight to the death for this family.

Also, it is Angelina’s truthfulness and fierce commitment to being true and real to herself, which the fans love more about her.

Personally, I am a big admirer of Angelina (for simply being a survivor, overcoming all the challenges in her life). But, after lurking for a long time in this blog, I became a fan of the Fans itself – they are hilarious, entertaining, smart and intelligent people, always coming up with well researched and well thought-out arguments. ..I hope this help answer your question.

How young must many of you be to keep making the point that Brad looks good for his age? 42 IS NOT OLD!!!!!!

I read on some blog that someone thought he looked so good that he’ll soon be giving Sean Connery a run for his money. WTF?!?! 42 is YOUNG and just about the age that men start to fully realize all of their potential as a man, physcial and otherwise. All you need to do is listen to Brad go on about how turning 40 was the benchmark age fo him.

I’ve learned to let alot of what I read on this blog go but this recent spate of comments about how good he looks for his age is just so annoying because he is a young man.

Normally I’m not put out a Lainey, but her “exclusives” invariably…aren’t! Poor Lainey…she only THINKS she’s got an “exclusive”. Life & Style - whom we all know prints 99.999999999999999999999999% lies - said the same thing 2 weeks ago. Maybe Lainey’s sources are “exclusive” to her, but apparently they aren’t the only people who know about a trip to the tropics! I sure hope she didn’t pay as much for the info as L&S did!

Their Africa trip was also in one of the rags before Lainey called it her exclusive. Nobody seems to remember that.

I do. It was InTouch. Lainey is completely full of it. For the most part, she is only giving her opinion on things that have become public. Is she has Brangelina sources, how come they only come out after new pics have surfaced. Can’t they ever feed her something when there aren’t new pics of them?

One of my best friends is an actor and when she dropped an “exclusive” bit on him one day, an exclusive that was TOTAL B.S., I got wise to exactly how she operates. She’s never been anything more than a fan with a website. She’s not clued into B&A. She’s only commenting on news–not breaking any.

Girl, free tickets?! You right about that. I love going to baseball games and football games. It’s just so hard sometimes, as the price for tickets now a days are real ‘out there’. I’m a sports freak. Yesterday I was giving my fingers a real workout — between football games, hockey games, ice skating……….my poor TV must have been wondering what was going on. HA! HA!

I like these women as actresses, but I don’t find them particularly gorgeous.

However, I can see why people pick on Angelina and Brad too. Some people just don’t find them attractive and that’s okay. The need to put them down is lost on me though. I don’t do that to stars I don’t think are all that, but some people need to vicious. Hence the creation of celeb blogs. To build them up and tear them down. It’s all part of the fun of celebrity to some people.

Wow seeing that video of the premiere was so exciting. Where did those fans get those pics of Brad for autographs? His fan clubs are on point I see.

As far as all the remarks about Brad or Angelina looking or seeming tired, well…..as hard as it is to believe because of their beauty….theyARE humnan. They actually get tired like all of us especially those of use who have children under the age of 5 and trying to attend to business & social & family obligations.

Plus all that lovemakeing they are obviously doing. It’s ok that they looked wrecked!

I have a pet peeve with some media outlets. Have any one you picked up on the fact that many media sources don’t refer to Angelina has Brad’s girlfriend? It’s either “partner” (WTF?) “mother of his adopted & bilogical children” or just Angelina.
People still can’t get used to seeing “Brad Pitt’s girlfriend Angelina Jolie…” or “Brad & girlfriend Angelina Jolie….”. I know it’s understood for some, but it would be nice to see more “girlfriend” in print. I’ve never read stories about Heath ledger & “partner” Michelle Williams or Johnny Deep & Vanessa Paradis, mother of his children.

And for those of you who aren’t in the know…That’s what 42 looks like.

i’d rather the media not use the word “girlfriend.” i’ve never liked those terms “boyfriend and girlfriend.” sounds so high school. these are two mature people with children. the english language needs to come up with a better word for unmarried adults in a relationship. i’ve read articles where they’ve described angie as brad’s paramour, but wtf with that? it makes me think she should have a bouffant hairdo and wear dresses with bustles. partners seems like the best way to describe them for now, even though it sounds very business-y and tres gay.

I always thought girlfriend/boyfriend was too cheap and generic a term for them. I’m sure they would never refer to each other as that in public. It is very high school and not indicative–AT ALL–of the relationship they have.
