i love fight club. it’s one of my top ten favorite violent movies. braddy’s too sexy in it. makes you wanna lick the screen!

i wonder if angie’s sat through his old movies and what she thought of them. it would be really interesting to know what they think of each other’s work. it’s pretty obvious they respect each other as actors, but i’d like to know how they feel about each individual film. better yet, i wanna know if angie ever had the urge to lick the screen when braddy was on and vice versa.

sorry to be so random but A I have trouble refreshing B I can’t type very fast C I’m not used to this laptop. I’m going back to lurking and learing.

first=Is it normal to love Brad Pitt to the point of sleeplessness and or hysteria?

Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie applauds courage of refugees in India

NEW DELHI, India, November 6 (UNHCR) – On a weekend visit to refugees, UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie met Afghan and Burmese women who told her how they fled persecution in their homelands and found safety in the Indian capital.

Relaxed and informal, dressed in jeans and a UNHCR tee shirt, Jolie also sat down on the floor to play with refugee children, commiserated with a hard-working single mother and chatted with teenagers about the joys and challenges of learning a foreign language.

“I am grateful to the refugee families who spent time with me and shared their stories,” Jolie said. “They are remarkable, courageous people.”

On Saturday, the actress visited the UNHCR Women’s Protection Clinic in west Delhi, a place where refugee women from Myanmar can come and air their problems in a safe environment.

Interviews at the clinic also enable UNHCR to better help the women – by getting them medical care, or arranging education for their children, for example. Longer term, many of the women are scheduled to be resettled in countries like Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Norway and the United States. Many of the refugees are from the Chin minority, Christians in officially-Buddhist Myanmar.

Writing notes in a thick notebook, Jolie listened attentively as Burmese refugee women told her that they cannot return to their country as long as the military regime remains in power. While she talked to the refugees, her five-year-old son Maddox played on the floor with Burmese children, overcoming any language barrier with an enthusiastic contest of spinning tops.

“It’s very moving to hear about the persecution the refugees have endured,” Jolie said. “It is clear they cannot go home, and they have a hard time settling down in India, so it is fortunate that for many of them there is a happy ending in resettlement in another country.”

After a conversation with two Burmese women, one shyly told Jolie: “You look like an actress.” Added the second one: “Are you a film star?”

“That’s why I am in India, making a film,” Jolie replied, “but I came up to Delhi just to visit with you. I am honoured to be able to meet you. You are very strong women. You are amazing.”

The Afghan and Burmese women she met were among the 11,400 refugees in the Indian capital who are directly under the care of the UN refugee agency.

In the crowded narrow streets near the centre, Jolie slipped off her flip-flops and settled down on the wooden bed in a one-room apartment her Burmese refugee host shares with her three children. The woman, whose husband was arrested in Burma, fled to India alone with her young children. She cannot work here, she said, because she has her hands full taking care of the children, two of whom were at her side as she talked.

“That’s the hardest work,” said Jolie, who has three children of her own. “It must be very difficult for you to raise three small children in a foreign country.”

Jolie also visited Khalsa Diwan Welfare Society, an organisation run by and for Sikh Afghan refugees in west Delhi, where she dropped in on tailoring, music and English classes. Many of the Afghan Sikhs, who were a persecuted minority in their own country, have been in India for nearly three decades; most of the young refugees Jolie met were born in India and have never seen Afghanistan.

Chatting with a 15-year-old boy who said he loves computers, Jolie joked: “I am terrible with computers.” In an English class, a poised and outspoken teenage girl told the goodwill ambassador she likes English because “it’s a polite language.”

Jolie, who said she has a special interest in Afghan refugees and would like to visit the country one day when it is peaceful, asked the students to teach her a few words in their mother tongue and praised their command of three languages.

Later she said it was tragic these Afghan refugees – who number 9,500 in New Delhi – had languished in exile for so many years. “We often focus on refugee emergencies, but we forget that there are millions of refugees around the world who spend years, even decades, outside their countries,” she said. “The international community really must work harder to find solutions for these forgotten refugees.”

On Sunday, Jolie met Indian civic leaders and Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma. She thanked both the people and government of India for “their longstanding hospitality to refugees” and for an “open-door policy” to refugees displaced by recent fighting in Sri Lanka.

In addition to the 11,400 refugees cared for by the UN refugee agency directly, India is also home to about 110,000 Tibetan refugees and more than 100,000 refugees from Sri Lanka who are looked after by the Indian government. Since violence flared on the island state in April this year, some 16,000 Sri Lankans have sought refuge in southern India’s Tamil Nadu state.

believe what you want
It’s actually people like you, I am interested in.
The ones who are obsessed with people they probably will never meet in their whole life and who don’t give a **** of what the ones like you think about them.
People should rather focus on their own life and think what they can do good themselves.

Sincere thank you’s for the article. That mother is so brave. We complain so much about idocy such as hair not couffered just right, or eggs not cooked correctly while this mother is without her husband and may never see him again or he her and his children. We don’t know if she has also left behind a mom and father.

Trinity, you are not a very good at this as you’ve given yourself away. I had a quite strong feeling it was a ruse, but I didnt think you’d expose it so quickly. I am happy you did as it gives proof to those that you had not good intentions. I believe this is what the kids call busted.

Hey guys, I just dropped by Trent’s pink is the new blog and man, I can’t believe how heartless and selfish people can be. Yesterday, he witnessed a very fatal hit and run accident and so understandably, he wasn’t ( and still is) not in the mood to post about gossip he turned off his comments that day. Well, he updated today (it was only about the accident) explaining what happened and he also said he turned off the comments section for now because believe it or not people have e-mailed insulting, and very rude messages about him not updating. I mean, the man witnessed a horrific accident where a woman lost her LIFE and all they care about is him not commenting on the gossip of the day! They act as if they’re aren’t any blogs out there too. I personally find it very disgusting that people can be so cruel.

I’m sorry if this post seems out of place…

He always has @ 11/06/2006 at 1:13 pm

He looks like he was made of Leather.

Trinity,
I too, have been lurking for almost two years now in this blog as part of the book that I was writing about. To answer your question, from what I’ve learned from the regular posters and the newbees, the fascination towards Angelina and Brad Pitt, seems to be about two beautiful (very famous and powerful) people who found love against all odds. Not only they both endured all criticisms from tabloid, rumormongers and the media, but it actually made them more powerful and strong as a couple along with their adorable children. Their commitment to each other and their family seemed to have mesmerized the public, and their passion to humanitarian causes, has continued to inspire all their fans across the globe. Mind you, their fans are sophisticated, intelligent and highly witted people that will literally fight to the death for this family.

Also, it is Angelina’s truthfulness and fierce commitment to being true and real to herself, which the fans love more about her.

Personally, I am a big admirer of Angelina (for simply being a survivor, overcoming all the challenges in her life). But, after lurking for a long time in this blog, I became a fan of the Fans itself – they are hilarious, entertaining, smart and intelligent people, always coming up with well researched and well thought-out arguments. ..I hope this help answer your question.

to TIJEN and GULI,

to whom it may concern,

You guys the haters, you hate it all, right?

It kills you slowly to see they are so happy and still together.

It makes you mad that they are growing strong together and with all of their children.

It makes you suffer to witness that they love and are commited to each other deeply.

It tortures you to see that they do NOT have any regrets in their lives.

It makes you to hit your heads to the walls that they, as a couple and as an individual are so much respected, accepted, loved and admired.

I got a news for you the haters, the JOLIE-PITTS will NEVER make your lives enjoyable at all.

You will feel worse every single day of the rest of your lives if you keep on hating them. Because they are not going anywhere, the JOLIE-PITTS will be right in front of your faces!!!

bamzs 4-ever @ 11/06/2006 at 1:29 pm

Mediterranean, that was very well said. I hope they read your post and shut up once and for all.

Gigi and Jolieforever

I feel as if you’ve decided that Trinity is correct in his opinion of who he suggests I represent. I am sorry, but I feel rather insulted by both of you. The person’s words to me were crystal clear in their attempt to be judgemental and place in a box those who are fans of Angie and Brad. Did this person not say exactly who he was seeking out? They are looking to find it negative and I don’t understand you guys playing into this.
