Amaya- I don’t get MSNBC on my T.V. I don’t really care for Matthews either (I’ve watched some youtube clips) so I’m sure I won’t be missing out anything. Lol.

Keith Olbermann however is great. I’ve mostly seen him through the MSNBC website, Crooks and Liars, and youtube links posted on various websites. For that reason only, I wish I got that channel.

But yeah..I’m sticking to Stewart and Colbert. No matter what the results are, I know atleast there will some humor involved, plus they aren’t bad to look at. =D

This man gets sexier and sexier everyday. I have much respect for and am totally a fan of the Jolie-Pitt clan, as a couple, a family and as individual actors. BUT, I have to wonder when will they have a moments peace? I check this site on a daily for updated info, am I no better than the paparazzi flashing photos in their faces - constantly? It must really suck to know there is nowhere in the world you can go where no one knows your name….. DAMN THIS MAN IS SEXY!

People who saw Angie said “she was not photogenic” or “much more gorgeous in person”, which means she is way better looking than in pictures.
I think in Angie’ case, maybe it is because of her personality, confidence and easiness in herself that obervers feel and could appreciate her more in person.

Goodness, does this man get any rest? I sure hope the little “exclusive” from our friend Lainey is true. They need a vacation STAT! He probably didn’t any sleep, figured he’d just get everything over with and get is sleep on the flight back. I wish him a safe flight back to his family.

Okay…..since I don’t live in Carlifornia, I had to go find out more about the Proposition 87….and in my opinion, it doesn’t sound bad (and it’s not because The epitome of hunkiness known as Brad Pitt supports it), however I am leaving room for the possibility that I am just falling for the fine packaging. I sincerely want to know more about this propisition from someone who lives in Carlifornia. What do you think are the pros and cons of this prop? Please I am not trying to start a mud slinging battle between Dems and Reps, I believe we can have a debate amongst ourselves without getting too personal….as I have mentioned a few times, I am very apolitical in the sense that I’d rather look at the issues not the person behind it coz…if I did that…..well, let’s just say I’d be living on a deserted island somewhere far…far…away from my fellow human beings.

I am of the opinion that politics bring out the absolute WORST in people, case in point….the TV ads, my Goodness, when you hear what one party says about the other, you’re thinking “Oh my, they must be the devil incarnate” then right after a new ad comes with the second party saying things about the first and you’re thinking “Aww…Jeez, the first party IS the devil’s incarnate” I mean it’s just crazy….what are they…..high scholars? What makes it worse is these are people’s fathers, mothers, grandfather and grandmothers. How do you teach your kids about having good ethics when you go on national TV and talk rubbish about your opponent just to win? I’ll never understand that…just like I’ll never understand why some politicians kill their opponents just to win (this happens frequently in Africa and I don’t mean years and years ago….three months ago, my friend’s uncle was assasinated. It’s mind boggling….how do you figure you’re the better person to run a country, keep the law and order…..after killing your opponent? This is one of the reasons I turned apolitical.

I also believe we have been programed to see only the bad in one party instead of the good, only God knows what might happen if we decide to look at things from a different angle. You just might be surprised what both parties have in common. Oy…if only things could be as simple as just knowing right is good, wrong is bad and that we all have an individual responsibility to ourselves and our society.
Please if anyone finds this post pointless or deems it highly inappropriate for this forum (celebrity blog) don’t hesistate to raise your objections and it would be stopped.

Yes on Proposition 87, a much contested ballot measure here in California which would generate funding for alternative fuel resources and tax the oil companies. The Democrats notably former President Clinton are championing this ballot including Hollywood heavyweights namely our beloved Brad, George Clooney, Julia Roberts and Leo de Caprio to name a few.
I am so proud that Brad shared some of his star power for this very important ballot measure to hopefully someday reduce our dependence on oil and help conserve our natural resources and save our environment.

I haven’t written about Angelina Jolie in a pretty long time, because, let’s face it, running around with your brood of adopted babies just isn’t that sexy. But after seeing these pictures of Angelina Jolie at the UN Commission for Refugees in New Dehli, India, well, you’ll understand.

Not only has Angelina been running around India for the past couple months filming a movie, she’s also wearing hardly any make-up in these pictures. I mean, that’s pretty much the definition of flawless.

Gas companies made so much money off of our asses and when they had the option to help us out, they opted no, and to keep their profits.

Raising prices for my benefit is to me better than raising them for the benefit of oil companies who made insane amounts of money in the previous years.

I’ve read about the Proposition and I think it’s a good thing.

Sharon, as i stated earlier on, I knew nothing about Prop 87 so I did a little research, here’s an exerpt from one of the websites I found….

PROP. 87 IS PAID FOR BY OIL COMPANIES THAT DRILL IN CALIFORNIA NOT CONSUMERS
California’s Attorney General has confirmed that Prop. 87 makes it illegal for oil companies to raise gas prices to pass along the cost to us. If they do, they’ll break the law and could be prosecuted. The U.S. Supreme Court has already ruled that states can prohibit oil companies from passing fees like this on to consumers. Just look at the other states that have oil drilling fees - their gas prices are significantly lower than in California. Alright Sharon, let’s say for the sake of arguement you’re right. Did these independent experts say by how much a gallon, who they are? You can bet the oil companies will continue raising prices sure as we’re sitting here.

This proposition will give money towards developing alternate feuls in the future, we ARE going to use up the oil on this planet, there’s no doubt about it. What kind of world are you going to leave your children and grandchildren? If you think you are having trouble with your budget, imagine what they’re going to pay for fuel.

It’s a case of pay me now or pay me later, but I guess you don’t care about leaving the ones that come after us to pick up the mess

I agree there is certainly an ominous tone to those posts, but don’t waste too much trying to figure out why because you never will. No kind of hate makes any sense to those with no hate in their heart. The best thing to do is counter it with love, peace, happiness, understanding in your own life. Your life will go on no matter what they choose to do with theirs. Stay away from that stuff and don’t allow it to contaminate you.

Out of the many emails I got about Britney’s divorce to KFed, this one was very interesting. It comes from someone that claims they are close to the Britney camp. I’m going to take it at face value, but what they say makes complete sense:

I’ll have to disagree with you. To me, it’s already dying down, although so many people dreamt of this day. The end of this marriage won’t be hotly contested, like BP and X. There really aren’t anything titillating about it, unlike the press and X fans’ insistence that AJ had something to do with the end of the Golden Age. For some reason, it seems that BP’s recent life changes was the pinnacle of Hollywood ’scandal’. IMO, BP and AJ’s pregnancy announcement was the biggest entertainment/gossip story in my lifetime, although Michael Jackson’s staggering fall from grace could tie with it.

tampopo is without a doubt one of my favourite movie, never mind food movies. I have a thing for food movies and i think i have seen them all. another food movie that i haven’t seen listed yet is “mostly martha”.

Peepin’ in before I hit the sack. As you all know Brad was nominated for a People’s Chioce Award. It always seemed to me like one of the chessier awards show. The winners know in advance but act all surprised in the audience. But we can vote.

VIP endorsements fail to sell tax on California oil

Despite drawing endorsements from celebrities and a former president, the costliest ballot initiative campaign in California history ended Tuesday with the defeat of a measure that would have taxed state oil production to fund alternative energy research.

With more than half of precincts reporting, 55 percent of voters said no to Proposition 87 after a high-stakes race that pitted the specter of global warming against the threat of higher gas prices.

Oil companies led by Chevron Corp. and Aera Energy raised nearly $100 million in their effort to defeat the measure. Supporters spent more than $57 million, most of it contributed by Hollywood producer Stephen Bing.

“Proposition 87 was full of holes: higher fuel costs, more bureaucracy, cuts funding for firefighters — bad idea,” said Scott Macdonald, a spokesman for the No on 87 campaign.

The initiative would have taxed companies drilling for oil in California — the nation’s third-biggest oil producing state — until it generated $4 billion. The money would have gone toward creating incentives for researching alternative energy, alternative-fuel vehicles, energy-efficient technologies and education and training.

Bill Clinton, Al Gore, Julia Roberts and Geena Davis were among the A-list personalities who appealed to environmentally conscious Californians to pass Proposition 87. Their pitch: It would help wean the state off its reliance on foreign oil while helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

“We have the worst air in the country,” actor Warren Beatty said during a pro-Proposition 87 campaign party on Tuesday night.

The oil companies that led the opposition turned supporters’ arguments around, countering that the initiative would create more dependence on foreign oil by cutting the state’s oil production. To drive home the point, they ran commercials with firefighters warning that residents would have to pay more to fill their gas tanks.

Yusef Robb, a spokesman for the Yes on 87 campaign, said he believed voters delivered a pro-environment message even though the measure lost.

“The oil companies spent $100 million to kill Prop. 87 and they didn’t,” Robb said. “Millions of Californians voted to break our dependence on oil. ”

The campaign played on the blood-for-oil fears of violence in the Middle East and concerns over impending environmental doom. Proposition 87 dovetailed with the nation’s zeitgeist — coming along as awareness about global warming heightened and in the same year as Gore’s well-received documentary on the subject, “An Inconvenient Truth.”

Supporters argued that while oil companies pay a permitting fee to drill, they pay next to nothing to draw oil from California, unlike in Alaska and Texas. The proposal would tax oil producers between 1.5 percent and 6 percent depending on the per-barrel price of oil.

This was enough to persuade Philip Gustlin, 72, of Brentwood, to vote for the measure.

“I don’t feel sorry for the oil companies,” he said.

Oil companies countered that they already pay California’s high corporate income tax and other taxes. They also said the money generated by the new tax would be used to create a bureaucracy with no oversight.

Reading more about it, I can’t believe people bought the oil company’s campaign…..they didn’t even mention the #1 concern for most people, which was increase in gas prices…why? Well, maybe it’s because they know it would be illegal to increase gas price. What they do mention is that they already corporate income tax (ha!). I now realized how stupid that award is, after I was dumb enough to bite their bait last year when B&A were nominated. As I said before, I never paid attention to these Hollywood things, until I got interested in B&A. So I didn’t know about all the games these tv shows play. Last year’s People’s Choice Award was the first, and will be the last time I watch the show.

I watched a little bit of Jon and Stephen but to be honest..most of the time, I kept checking CNN for updates. I liked the part with Dan Rather and his little sayings. LOL. The cakes Stephen showed were hilarous and he made a call to Annette Benning! I guess he’ll be eating the terrorist cake.

I went on MSNBC and they had a Live Video of the election coverage but after five minutes of listening to CM, I quit. The man is annoying as heck. I watched when he was interviewing Dean and I thought CM was litterally going to leap out his seat and attack Dean. What a dummy!

But all’s well now and I’m grinning from ear to ear now that the results are tallied. :D

I wish I had gotten to see the press conference today from the White House. Heard it was funny.
