Guli: Didn’t finish my sentence…………..movie stars, but after seeing Gia, I was hooked on Angie. (1) I thought she was gorgeous (2) Her acting rocked.

My favourite actress of all time is Bette Davis. She was amazing! Now that was one great actress. I have several of her movies. If you want to see a woman play a cold hearted slag — watch ‘Little Foxes’.

Hey Jrzladee: How you doin today? Girl, don’t waste your time on the ‘Zombies’, you’re too intelligent for them. Anything you try to explain or express will just fly over their heads. It’s just the way it is with them — very sad!

ITA — it was the movie Gia that made me a AJ fan!

How are you doing? I know what you are saying is true, but it truly amazes me how so many people speak from hatred and spite instead of actually using the brain they were born with…I am all for everyone having their own opinions but I get really pissed when they bring ignorance into their rants…

Obscure Documentary Undermines Brad Pitt’s PR Machine
By Jada Yuan

T he real winner in the brouhaha over Brad Pitt’s appearing (wet, in his boxers) on the cover of Vanity Fair without the authorization of his publicist? Katharina Otto-Bernstein, whose documentary about avant-garde stage director Robert Wilson, Absolute Wilson, just opened (it’s only showing at two theaters). Wilson took the “video portrait” of Pitt. It ended up on the cover after writer Bob Colacello, who’d written a piece about Wilson, showed it to VF editor Graydon Carter. “We’ve had a long relationship with Vanity Fair,” laments Pitt’s publicist, Cindy Guagenti (she called Pitt’s lawyers). “And when they contact us for a photo shoot or an article, it’s always been on the up-and-up and we’ve been able to say, ‘No, we don’t want to do a cover this time.’ ” Though Pitt is promoting Babel, Guagenti feared “saturation.” In any case, Pitt’s not promoting Absolute Wilson. “I’d feel uncomfortable to push my film that I worked on for seven years and the biography that I also worked on for seven years through scandal,” insists Otto-Bernstein. Wilson says that he and Pitt “have a good relationship, so I don’t know what’s going on. This is all coming to me secondhand.” But Wilson’s manager, Charles Fabius, was excited: “We just got confirmed for a third week at Lincoln Plaza!” And that’s before a Today show booker called to get Wilson on.

Maria and lookwhaticando, Brad, George and Johnny are the most charismatic and talented actors of their generation. This triumvirate rules Hollywood! I purportedly omitted TC, never liked him, and now he is put into his proper place lol.

Kiki: Never liked Tom Cruise. I did see ‘Last Samurai’, but I watched it for the Japanese cast which was magnificent. My all time favourite actor was Gregory Peck. Loooooved that man. Brad falls into that category for me. Good to look at and a super actor.

But before we said goodbye to Brad, we had one last gift: a check for Global Action for Children and for Doctors without Borders, in honor of the tireless efforts that he and Angelina have done throughout the world.

Isn’t he running his own studio now? If so, then he’s going to make sure he’s in the movies he makes. I hope he saved his monies, ’cause there aren’t going to be too many people going out to see his movies after he’s shown himself for the idiot he is.

People's Choice Awards Noms @ 11/07/2006 at 4:45 pm

People Choose Johnny, Jen, Vinceby Gina Serpe
Tue, 7 Nov 2006 09:22:53 AM PST

The people have spoken. Unfortunately, they seem to be repeating themselves.

Despite the potentially dramatic pairing of Isaiah Washington and recently outed Neil Patrick Harris as announcers of the 2007 People’s Choice Award nominees, the naming of would-be winners went off Tuesday morning without a hitch, upset or even mild surprise.

The perennial favorites were back in droves this year, with a few notable exceptions. Reigning box office king and queen, Mel Gibson and Julia Roberts, who have respectively nabbed 6 and 11 People’s Choice wins to date, have been ousted as nominees. Ditto for last year’s reigning award winner, Angelina Jolie.

However, with Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington and Sandra Bullock back on board, there’s no shortage of familiar faces.

Johnny Depp leads the nominees on the docket this year, with nods for Favorite Male Movie Star, Favorite Male Action Star and Favorite On-Screen Match-Up for his Caribbean chemistry with Keira Knightley.

In an impressive show of popularity, Halle Berry managed to get nominated for two awards, Favorite Female Movie Star and Favorite Female Action Star—both apparently for her work in X-Men: The Last Stand, her only film of the year.

Also jumping on the two-nominations bandwagon on the movie side were Matt Damon, who earned nods in the Favorite Leading Man and Favorite On-Screen Match-Up categories, the latter for his work with Jack Nicholson and Leonardo DiCaprio in The Departed; and Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn, who in addition to their joint On-Screen Match-Up nomination for The Break-Up nabbed Favorite Female Movie Star and Favorite Leading Man nominations.

In the latter category, Vaughn will go up against Damon, as well as the former Mr. Aniston, Brad Pitt.

The potential podium smack down isn’t the only face-off awards show organizers had in the works. While Grey’s Anatomy star Washington had the honor of announcing his show among the nominees for Favorite TV Drama, he also had the dubious distinction of naming on-set combatant Patrick Dempsey as one of the nominees for Favorite Male TV Star, the only individual nomination the show received.

Joining ABC’s hospital hit in the TV Drama category were Houseand time slot opponent CSI.

As for the music side, turns out the People are a little bit country, a little bit more country.

All the nominees for Favorite Male Singer this year went to country stars, with Trace Adkins, Kenny Chesney and Toby Keith battling it out for the title. The Favorite Female Singer category was also dominated by the honky-tonk ladies, with Faith Hill, Carrie Underwood and Shakira the sole nominees.

Underwood, Shakira and the Red Hot Chili Peppers were the only multiple nominees for the music front, nabbing two apiece.

Fans can vote for their favorites in movies, TV and music online at pcavote.com. Winners will be announced when the show airs live on CBS Jan. 9.

Here’s the complete list of nominees:

Movies

Favorite Female Movie Star:Jennifer Aniston, Halle Berry, Sandra Bullock
Favorite Male Movie Star:Johnny Depp, Tom Hanks, Denzel Washington
Favorite Leading Lady:Cameron Diaz, Kirsten Dunst, Scarlett Johansson
Favorite Leading Man:Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Vince Vaughn

I never cared for this award, this I’m so voting on this one.

O/T I’m really happy that Britney finally filed for divorce! this story is going to entretain the tabloids big time, which means they will give the Jolie-Pitts a big break.

DON’T TAKE HIM BACK SHAR!!!

sorry! wrong thread!

brit brit’s life reminds me of old, sad country songs.

Teen queen dates pop prince (Justin), gets married in Vegas to old friend, get’s it annuled, then marries a no good bum who got his baby mama pregnant twice(Shar Jackson). Then she has her own kid with him. Pops out another one and divorces the no good bum who has been mooching off her money.

Poor Brit. She’s not that bright. Filing for divorce is the smartest thing she’s ever done. But she had to pop out two kids, let the bum waste her money, and make a joke out of herself before she filed.
