Amaya - sorry I’m reading backward so I didn’t read your othe post.

I watched a little bit of Jon and Stephen but to be honest..most of the time, I kept checking CNN for updates. I liked the part with Dan Rather and his little sayings. LOL. The cakes Stephen showed were hilarous and he made a call to Annette Benning! I guess he’ll be eating the terrorist cake.

I went on MSNBC and they had a Live Video of the election coverage but after five minutes of listening to CM, I quit. The man is annoying as heck. I watched when he was interviewing Dean and I thought CM was litterally going to leap out his seat and attack Dean. What a dummy!

But all’s well now and I’m grinning from ear to ear now that the results are tallied. :D

I wish I had gotten to see the press conference today from the White House. Heard it was funny.

Well, the biggest strike against CM is his voice lol And his laugh haha. I was sticking around for KO. At the towards the end, he gave CM a coffee and donut because he left way before Chris did. Honestly though if I had to arrange the msnbc male anchors in order of who I’d co-anchor with first, it’d be him lol Because between him, Joe and Tucker, to me, he is the most fair. Because I’ve seen him be just as hard on his conservative guests too.

You’re right. Angie has never looked this happy and radiant. Everything she has been through in the past has made her who she is now (as is the case with everyone) and it is so refreshing to see someone living in the public eye evolving in such a nice way. She could have easily gone the typical way of so many troubled actresses before her, and the fact that she didn’t tells me she has alot more going for her than that lovely face. There’s some real substance there.

Brad, boy, oh boy…. he has surprised me I must admit. Other than being a casual admirer of his movies, I honestly never thought there was much more to him than physical beauty. Now he exudes confidence and contentment, and a new sexual energy I never picked up in him before. Everything about him is more attractive now, from his involvement in other areas of the movie business to the way he protects and cares for his “peeps”, lol, he’s just such a……man!

He and Angie compliment each other so nicely. They are going to do great things together, both for each other and for other people.

I heard he’d liked the script, and I met him at the (production) offices, and here come these handmade Prada shoes with Brad Pitt attached. He said something to me like, ‘You’ve got wicked skills.’”

That unaffectedness, says Simon Kinberg, who wrote the 2005 hit “Mr. & Mrs. Smith,” “is kind of an amazing thing. It’s not a game or strategy with him.”

In particular, Kinberg remembers one long day of shooting when the exhausted cast and crew had worked into the night and saw no end in sight.

“Brad, out of the blue, started doing jumping jacks, calling out to the crew, getting everyone’s spirits up at 4 a.m. at some awful diner in downtown L.A.,” Kinberg says. “He was the guy who would cheerlead for the movie — and he didn’t have to. He’s the top, and the energy flows from the top down.”

Pitt doesn’t mind looking less than perfect. In “Babel,” he goes gray and has bags under his eyes.

This isn’t a star with blockbuster on the brain.

Ever since he stole hearts in 1991’s “Thelma & Louise,” he has had hits (1995’s serial killer drama “Se7en,” last year’s “Mr. & Mrs. Smith”), but just as many misses (1997’s “Seven Years in Tibet,” 2004’s “Troy”).

He has earned one Oscar nomination, for his supporting turn in 1995’s “Twelve Monkeys.”

These days, Pitt mixes it up. He took a pay cut for 2007’s “The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford,” but he’s also reprising Rusty Ryan in the third “Ocean’s” installment, due in June.

Film historian Leonard Maltin applauds Pitt’s willingness to “sacrifice some of his movie-star persona for the sake of a really good part. What we’re seeing is his willingness, if not downright eagerness, to challenge himself with more demanding and daring roles.”

And that gets major props from Darren Aronofsky, who was ready to direct Pitt in “The Fountain” before the actor dropped out because of creative differences.

“Brad’s a great guy, and we’re still friendly. We’re OK with the breakup,” Aronofsky says. “Brad’s a really smart, very talented guy. He’s come to a place in his work where he’s doing interesting stuff. He’s looking great. The pretty-boy thing wasn’t my type of hetero joy. I like the wizened Brad now.”

Others appreciate his taste for the unconventional, such as his decision to executive-produce the documentary “God Grew Tired of Us: The Story of Lost Boys of Sudan.”

Writer/director Christopher Quinn had run out of money and says that, without Pitt’s help, the movie would likely not have been made.

Quinn, introduced through their mutual friends, met Pitt at his home. The meeting was casual and Pitt was disarming.

But, Quinn says, he “has incredible follow-through. When we won (two awards) at Sundance, he sent me a note saying how proud he was to be a part of the movie.”

Up early and living down to your name, huh? Is it a crime to wear the same clothes all the time? Is there a special jail for that? And if there is can I be Brad’s cell mate? I’ve got on the same clothes today that I wore one day last week. Are the Fashion Police coming for me? I need to know cuz I told a friend I’d go to lunch with them.

Sheesh…what’s this hang up people have with Brad & Angie wearing the same clothes all the time? When you look like they do…and in tne same clothes all the time…who gives a crap? I was just over at the Aniston thread….I know, I know *bows head in shame” ….you see, I couldn’t help it….I was taken aback when I read the posts lauding JA wearing a T-shirt for charity, while at the same time rubbishing AJ’s humanitarian efforts. They say “Oh She’s doing it for a worthy cause or maybe this is the charity that struck a chord in her”……this was quite funny and amazing to me because they failed to see that the same applies for AJ. Actually, the most Hilarious post said something to the effect of “I am glad it’s not Angie wearing the t-shirt because she will be all over the place, crossing the street, taking a poop, going to the store…” Or something like that. I made me laugh coz I was thinking if the purpose of the t-shirt is calling attention to the cause….then AJ is doing the right thing. Anyway, my foray into the dark side punctuates what we’ve always known….The Fanistons are unreasonable lots and it’s no use arguing with them. Girl I know it’s hard to keep those promises to ourselvles that we will never respond to their posts, but, yeah, it’s so hard not to when you know good and damn well what they are saying is just a bald-faced lie.

I said it on the other thread, and I’ll say it again now, the only way JA could impress me with her so-called charity work would be if she actually left her lux surroundings and went to the hospital and spent some time there interacting with children, becoming emotionally involved. And I mean sick children, children who are hard to look at because of the diseases that are ravaging their bodies. That would wake her shallow self up and save her a bundle in therapist bills. Nothing puts your life into perspective and shows you how “sick of yourself” you really are until you reach out to someone who has nothing and is fighting for their life.

But no, she doesn’t do that. She takes the typical celeb approach and doesn’t actually get her manicured hands dirty. She’s a copy cat and a poser, and it’s clear her heart isn’t really in it.

Sorry, meant to address this more directly than I did. I agree that JA may shy away because she lacks confidence and strength. It takes a strong, self-assured and courageous person to tackle not only your own personal demons, but to also try to help someone else dealwith theirs. These are qualities, which of course, we know JA does not possess.

None of them have the story because it’s a blip on the radar! Jared only puts up this little piddly c-r-a-p about X to appease the Fanistons that come here. Think about it - other than rolling around in the pig pen that is FF, there is no other POPULAR website that a Faniston can go to and sing the praises of the Queen of Me. I can’t even remember the last time MK at DListed had an X thread! And Perez only puts up stuff to ridicule her. The folks at Gawker and Defamer do the same thing. Nobody has anything nice to say about the woman and everybody thinks she’s phony and boring…and they’re right! If X is so damned popular and is America’s Sweetheart, then why aren’t there 100s of sites devoted to worshipping her?

We live in a society that has made it okay to wallow in pity….which is made evident when women like Angelina Jolie, Mariann Pearl are not given the kudos they deserve just because they don’t potray themselves as VICTIMS. MP could easily use the death of her husband as excuse for just about any bad thing that happens to her, AJ can go on different shows and lament on what horrible childhood she
had, how her parents marriage ruined her which is why she failed at two marriages…..but they didn’t and this is because they understand that at one point in your life….which for most people is when you start knowing right from wrong, you have to STAND UP and take full responsibility for your life and they also understand things happen and no one is to blame….that’s what life is all about.

I never did relaize how much taller Brad was to Angie. She fits right under his neck and it looks so perfect. She can take care of herself, but he looks so protective and masculine and she looks so soft and feminie. Something about it makes them look so right proportion. 60 Minutes Ed Bradley passed away!

That’s so sad. I loved watching him on 60 minutes but I especially loved watching Mr. Bradley be interviewed by someone else. He always had the best stories and the best way of telling them. One of my favorites is when he is was on the HBO Chris Rock show and talking about his experience in the military. He will be missed.

This Veterans’ holiday weekend is upon us and hats off to our men and women in uniform. Hopefully, with the democrats controlling the senate and the congress, there will be a balance of power in government. Babel will open wide this weekend and I wish that it will do very good at the box-office.

Lynn Campbell —- I know I love his voice too… But I also love it when he licks his lips, dag that drives me nuts. So you really think we can just sit for an hour, watch him, listen to him talk, lick his lips and NOT touch him. C-r-a-p, we would probably attack him the minute we see him :lol:

I am always amazed with how well all of AJ’s and BP’s fans get along. Each had legions of fans on his/her own prior to becoming a couple. Once they got together, both groups melded together as if they have been searching for each other. AJ and BP are meant to be together (for however long). And their fans approve. Perfection. Pune, November 9: THE hype surrounding the arrival of Brangelina in the city and the buzz created by the paparazzi for the first legitimate shot of the couple apart, there was nothing remarkable about the one month or so they spent in the city. Neither did the star couple make any effort to cosy up to the city-dwellers, keeping to themselves and ensuring that their movement remained shrouded in mystery. Thus, when the unit of A Mighty Heart says ‘‘pack up’’ tomorrow, there won’t be too many Puneites who would feel inclined to bid adieu with a heavy heart.

The shooting at Sindh Society wraps up on Friday night and on Saturday, Pitt and Jolie along with their three children will be checking out of Hotel Le Meridien. ‘‘We have been told that they will check out most probably on Saturday or at the most extend by a day or two,’’ said a source.

This will also bring to an end a period of intense media activity in the city, that was inundated with national and international paparazzi ever since the celebrated couple slipped into the city on October 5 and went onto playing hide and seek with reporters, photographers and citizens.

While their shooting schedule in the Sindh society was dogged with controversies, now that the unit is all ready to leave, there is a mixed reaction amongst the members. ‘‘It was good to have so much excitement happening in our otherwise quiet locality,” said one of the residents. A member of the managing committee was quite glad to see them go. “The security risk wasn’t worth it. There were too many complaints from the residents too,’’ he said.

One man who was definitely sorry to see them go was Jaswinder Narang, general manager, Le Meridien. ‘‘It’s going to be sad saying goodbye to them. They got us so much publicity!’’ he said.

While Pitt and Jolie gave the Pune media a wide miss, they are expected to hold a press conference in Mumbai any day after November 10, before they finally leave the country.

Oh my God, you guys I feel the same way about teeth. I once knew this dude who would spend 500 dollars on a snazzy outfit, and strut all around like a peacock for the ladies like he was “clean”, and he had the worst scissor bite I have ever seen…..half his bottom teeth all sticking out in front of half his top teeth. Nasty. Gross. I mean, really, if you afford to spend that much on clothes, you can get your damn teeth fixed. Besides, I don’t care how much your clothes cost, because that doesn’t negate the fact that your mouth is much too jacked up for me to even think about putting my lips near all that mess. What do they think? That nobody will notice?

Oh, and another thing, I just got back from Barnes & Noble, I needed to get a late lunch/early dinner and pick up a certain history book….so there I am, settling in with my sandwich and my book about the Dead Sea Scrolls, and an endcap of books catches my eye. It’s a book about celebrity tattoos, and there’s ANGIE on the cover! So….to heck with my scholarly endeavor, I cast aside the history book and go for the tat book. As I am reading the part about Angie, it is clear this was published pre-Brad, but I press on, and the author describes her as pansexual delectable starlet, and a raw talent, and then it says she “french kissed” her brother on Oscar night to prove just how “in love” with him she was…. ARGH!! Why do these books print this lie over and over ad nauseum? I saw what happened that night. I saw the pictures. They did NOT french kiss, dammit! Needless, to say, I tossed the book away and went back to my history tome on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Idiot celeb tattoo book.
