Nobody was interested in what charity she was doing because there was some person to compare her with. That’s why. She does a lot of thing but only few know .She does a lot a talk very little about it.

Jen ought to practice what she preach.

She should had been thankful for the years of being married to the most gorgeous man in HW. She should have been thankful for being given roles in movies. She should have been thankful for having millions in her bank account. She should have been thankful for VV. She should have many things to be thankful for . Was she thankful ?

Obviously not ! with her PR hard at work .. she had spew a long trail of hatred towards her ex and those who around him. She had given sacarsatic interviews to swipe at her movie flops, her ex and blame others for her failure. She is simply not thankful for all that she had and have now.

Wow!…As usual Jenifer looks good. I love that she’s involved with help St. Jude’s. She looks great especailly when compared to the aging Brad and anorexic like Angelina with the big head.

She looks great she has always supported women’s charities she just chooses to do it quietly. Good for her.

It is a cute shirt and a great cause, but the article or blurb doesn’t say she is involved with the cause–just that she is modeling the shirt. She may be only a model and not involved with fund raising or anything else.

Jennifer Aniston is friends with and admires Margo Thomas (Phil Donahue’s wife) since they met when Thomas started playing Rachel Green’s mum on FRIENDS. Marlo Thomas is very actively involved in this charity , so she probably asked Jennifer to help her fundraise for them. I think that’s great, whether you are a fan of Jennifer or not…her name sells…so good for all involved…especially for the sweet children who benefit from St. Jude’s who will benefit greatly from this.
I am neither a Jennifer Aniston hater or lover, but come on people enough is enough. Let’s give her the benefit of the doubt. This will do some good, no matter what you think her intentions are.

Jen has been supporting St. Jude’s for years. Good for her…great t-shirt. She looks fabulous.

She’s also been nominated recently for a People’s Choice Award for Favorite Female Star along with Halle Berry and Sandra Bullock and nominated as best on screen pair with VV. Glad to see she’s doing well after 2 horrific years.

For those quoting Jen as saying “Charity is not my thing” why do you constantly misrepresent her statements? She said POLITICS not charity. Big difference.

I agree with Dancer. Think she’s just modeling the shirt, at least that’s what it appears to be. She looks very cute to me in this pic.

I am surprised by so many negative and hateful people. Here is a wonderful charity who has helped so many….yet you attack Jen because she supports this cause or because she is wearing a t-shirt? People who support causes do not always demand attention nor recognition on a daily basis, so does that automatically assume they are doing this simply to receive PR?

Does Jerry Lewis get the same treatment when he comes out for his cause each year? Is he critized because it is only an annual event? I believe that people who support charities to any level that helps someone is admirable.

Maybe you negative folks may one day have one close to you in need of the services of St. Jude’s…..will you then be so critical?

She did say charity is not her thing, but she meant I think being active like Angelina. I’m sure she does give to charity. She has attended breast cancer functions (dinners etc.) that require at least a $1000/plate. I believe the charity quote was either in Vanity Fair or was about the time the article came out in another interview. There is nothing wrong with her not being actively involved as most people are not actively involved in a volunteer organization. Most give money rather than time. Does she give great gobs of money? I don’t know. I doubt that anyone on this list does. Most stars are rather private about their giving, because just like us ordinary folks when we give and people know it, they get bombarded with causes and requests for time, money etc.
Regardless of whether she gave of her time or of her money to St. Judes–it is a worthwhile cause and if the picture of her in a T-Shirt showing off her hair and body causes people to contribute to the kids, then that is fine with me. The kids are what is important not Aniston and whether she gives of her time and money.

You Brangelina fans show your true colors no matter where you post. This photo goes along with a TV ad to raise funds for one of the finest children’s cancer treatment center in the world. St. Jude’s is also a leading research center for new treatments and hopefully a cure for the various types of children’s cancer. Jennifer has been a supporter for years. This year she is a spokesman.

Jen has always done charity work - whether it was auctions or fashion shows. She did several during her time on “Friends” as well…She also took part in the Katrina telethon…What I think she meant in the interview was that, as a celebrity, she would not use that platform to take political stances…as it seems many celebrities these days now do…It’s a tough situation for any celebrity to put themselves in because not only are they seen under a microscope, but the media feeds off of it…

I do not understand why everyone bashes her for her charity work. It doesn’t make her any less a person or her cause any less because she isn’t totting around kids and then dropping them off with a nanny. Her doing a photo-op to sell a cause isn’t any more scandals than Angelina hiring a photographer to follow her into huts. Millions of people give alot more than both of them and they aren’t hiring photographers to capture it. If your going to bash one, then bash the other.

Its a known fact that Jen is messed up emotionally if you go back into her trouble realationship with her mom and all her personal problems..I think the men in her life are gracious for covering for her as they end up pitying her but for Hollywood sake, they act mature and nice to smooth things over..as it is they fell for her so they don’t want to look like suckers either…

Hollywood is a business and many bad eggs can survive as seen with Jen’s film career. She is pretty much type caste as a boring flat actress to me. Her roles have nothing to do with talent and her sucess is based more on timing and budgets. The movies save her ass from Hollywood extinction post-Friends but not necessarily from repulsion..what talent does she really have but that of a smart ass??

I get a little suspicios of Jen too because of the timing. With what tmz said about using 10 policemen when she landed in the LA airport, I wonder if she is releasing this picture to repair her image.

I hope she is sincere in helping the children and not running another PR machine.

Jen has a lot of friends and makes plenty more friends with every movie, event etc. she involves herself with and I can say I love that about her. It’s not absurd for her friends to ask her for favors like this. And it’s not like Jen to turn down a friend or say no to charity. I can sit here and name 10 more actors who don’t publicly or privately for that matter donate their time and money to charity. Yet I can tell you they are loved by almost all. Once again my point proves that the bamzs fans are making her efforts of any nature seem suspicous or selfish. You don’t even know her. You don’t even know what you would do in her shoes had you been hers a few years back. Hell, I don’t even know. What I do know is that she is loved by many and this should mean something. And as for her relationship with Vince or whomever. It’s non of our business. Are your telling me she is the very first celebrity to cover up a relationship? Are you telling me that if you were hurt in your previously and very public relationship you wouldn’t do your best to keep your next one out of the press/limelight? Again, you can’t possibly imagine what you would be doing in those shoes, unless you were wearing them yourself and had millions watching.

She is not sincere, and it is a PR move. Celebs know this is in vogue, that is it. She is a hypocrite because she suggested that AJ was doing charity for publicity in Vanity Fair. St. Jude is great but JA’s charity is tainted at this point.

tmz.com did point out that Jennifer Aniston used EXCESSIVE police force when she landed at the LAX. Anyone who read the posts at tmz will all agree that it was a blatant error by the Aniston camp.
In fact, the poll was 73 % nagative against Aniston.

That is why I wonder if releasing this picture is a way to repair her image. May be this will take people away from continuing to post on the LAX post. I am suspicious of the timing.

I will be more convinced IF she is involved with St Jude for the past 2 or 3 years. Now, for all of the Jennifer Aniston disciples out there , if you can come back with concrete evidence. I mean URL (emphasis URL) so that I can look it up .

I am a very fair person. I may not watch Aniston’s movie, but I do give credit when credit is due. Remember, I need reference so that I can check your the facts. If you cannot give me the URL, please dont bother to respond.

I do not agree. Everything is perception. I may percieve that JA is not sincere due to her recent behavior and not feel the need to give to that cause. There are many charities to choose from. If someone with a negative image was the spokesperson for a product, it may not sell well by association. The recent police debacle and snide comments make her PR machine unsavory. Maybe she should visit some kids that are sick or donate money to a certain pediatric disease foundation. But another photo shoot, it smells of self interest not giving of oneself. IMHO

You say
1.Don’t say nasty things about her, she’s only trying to help.

3.Nothing is tainted if someone is being helped

Can we apply the same rule you have concerning Jen’s Charity work to Angelina’s?

1. If you insist that Charity is a good thing and people helping deserve praises, why do you throw insults at Angelina?
2. This is a worthy cause - isn’t Angelina’s cause also worthy?
3. Nothing is tainted if someone is helping, yet you don’t remember this nugget of wisdom when it comes to Angelina.
4. She knows people are watching her and only want to shine the light on a worthy cause, if I am not mistaken, Angelina and Brad have said the same thing repeatedly.
5. Maybe this cause struck a chord in her - please remember this when one of you asks for the millionth time why Angelina isn’t doing more in her own country. Maybe the situation in the improvised countries struck a chord in her.

I just scroll back and read your post. I must confess, I normally scroll it down so fast that I miss many of them. It’s always nice to see good reasoning behind your thoughts. I would have missed that post had it not for #104 (1st and last post) who pointed it out.

this is not the first time that jennifer aniston has used her face for charity. She’s been doing it for a while before the brad and angie thing happened. She will occasionally do that for a charity to bring more attention to it. She doesn’t talk about charity much because charity is not doing something so you can brag about it and show the whole that you do it. It’s to help the less fortunate.

Thank god she’s not Angelina…because had Angelina been asked to help raise money for this charity, we would have to put up with seeing all kind of self promoting ads. Angelina — chewing gum, and wearing the t-shirt (photo op), Angelina crossing the street and wearing the t-shirt (photo op), Angelina taking a dump and wearing the t-shirt (photo op), and let’s not forget…Angelina bumping into the camera man she’s hired to take pictures of her charitable actions (oops..no photo op, camera fell during the bump).

This post just shows how dumb you are and how jaded your view of what helping others really mean. I am glad AJ does everything but paint the sky to advertise for her causes. The above URL shows a picture of Brad with all children. The pic was taken in 2004. Watch the interview with Oprah when he was talking about giving back. . He was talking to Oprah while promoting Troy. I am so disappointed that Aniston was not in the picture with Brad. But you keep seeing Aniston dressing up with Brad in every red carpet event. Well, go figure….

On this Children fund raising T shirt, I still think Aniston is releasing the picture to repair the damage done on the LAX airport (massive use of police force). Think about the timing. Her PR machine is working hard !!!!

After watching Oprah, my take on the whole Vaughniston saga is that they should come clean and live lives for pete’s sake… all this denying and replying isn’t doing either of them any favors. I used to be a huge JA fan, but she sure has turned me off due to her personal drama with the press. She should be more forthcoming… fans are the reason she makes money.

I also notice she seems incredibly insecure, she always care about what people are thinking of her.

You say she gives quietly which is good but she can do better. Various studies have shown there is an increase in donations when a celebrity is attached to a cause. Using her status as a celeb, she can quadriple her donations by creating and awareness.

She understands that with celebrity comes certain responsibilities. It’s one thing to attend a charity dinner worth 10,000 and it’s quite another to be a voice for a cause. I don’t expect much from the Paris Hiltons, Nicole Riches of the world but with Jennifer Aniston….I mean let’s look at it this way, if her hairstyle created so much hype and imitation, can you imagine what will happen if she stood firmly behind a cause? On one hand, the critics make a good
point. Those more accustomed to signing
autographs than to penning policy papers
often raise eyebrows, not awareness, as they
move from the sound stage to the sound bite.
(Bo Derek’s vacant-eyed endorsement of President Bush, for example, continues to amuse me.) And even when a star knows of what he preaches, the delivery tends to teeter between the riotously pious and hopelessly hammy.

Who can forget Richard Gere’s infamous attempt to mind-meld with Chinese leaders over the thorny issue of Tibet from the stage of the Academy Awards? Not exactly a Bono moment.

But to write off all celebrity activists as windy, whiny and woefully out of touch is to ignore the unique advantage celebrities have in getting their message out.

For starters, entertainment idols are notoriously image-conscious, so when they put their careers on the line for a cause,
you’ve got to figure they’re drop-dead serious about their positions. (See the Dixie Chicks as exhibits A through C.) But more important, tarring all stars as know-nothing opportunists unfairly undermines those who rise above garden-variety activism and actually conduct the research required for good advocacy. Take Martin Sheen. Because of the veteran actor’s famous outspokenness — not to mention the fact that he played the president on TV — conservatives have practically called for an all-out jihad on the guy, depicting him as the worst thing to happen to America since the invention of the Chia Pet. But why not give Sheen his soapbox, especially considering his street creds? Arrested for protests more than 60 times, he has engaged in the kind of investigative legwork expected of journalists and scholars, not empty-headed leading men. He has stood with impoverished migrant workers, provided hands-on aid to the “scavengers” of the Payatas garbage dump in the Philippines, and continues to speak with authority about the hazards of nuclear waste.
If this kind of substantive homework doesn’t earn a fellow the right to spout off, what does

What’s amusing about all of this is that conservatives are the ones who most often
sneer at Hollywood cause-peddlers — and yet they seem to have short memories. After all, 26 years ago this November, didn’t they take a particular shine to a movie star-activist themselves? And if I remember correctly, the guy wasn’t even that good an actor.

The Reality is, it’s is not about you, me or even the celeb in question, it is about the people at the receiving end. Do you think they care what the celebrity’s motives are, do you think they care what we…as celeb watchers think? If JA’s fans all go out and buy the shirt, or even better, read up on St. Jude’s efforts and take more steps towards helping, then good enough for me. I know for a fact lots of Brad & Angie fans research and support the their causes and that’s a damn good thing.

Many of you people query why the anger and venom towards jennifer. And for objective lurkers/readers to these posts - it might just seem like uneducated babble especially to the individuals who favour anniston. However, to say that this anger/venom is well placed would be a very misguided attempt on my part - as i do not belive that harboring such ill feelings towards anyone is warranted. However - the issues with jennifer and her PR Monster are the constant manipulation and brainwashing tactics that are employed on the public alike. For anyone with half brain, this would in the most part be offensive - “I mean, really - is that how “lowly” you rate our intelligence?
Her entire PR acitivities during her “divorce” period have been disastrous - nobody likes the boy who keep crying wolf.
Instead of Jeniffer showing us the real her (if I am sorry to query - exists) we were assualted again by a performance from Rachel. In fact everyhting about Jennifer is Rachel - which actually makes me wonder - why on earth everybody belives her to be such an american cinematic icon?? What about the certainly, more talented up and coming actresses or actresses that act but never hog the spotlight and attention aka Chloe Sevigny directors Sofia Coppola??
But I digress - the point I am attempting to make is that JA should have come out, re-invented herself used the whole experice as a catharsis, found more meaning in her life, and shown us somthing original, decent and good - but instead the tape has just been rewind, rewind, rewind. So you cannot blame people for being irritated, B***** and catty. Human Foilbes - especailly when you keep pulling PR gimmicks as she does.
She should axe Stephen Huvane, find a new hairstyle and focus on anew career path - such as courteny - maybe her own sitcom!! as I think it is time to put away the thinking “I am an actor” tho those that actually can.
