- Tom Cruise is expected to attend the Conde Nast Black Ball at Hammerstein Ballroom tomorrow night. Cruise bought a $50,000 table at the event, which will be hosted by Alicia Keys and Iman.
- Abbie Cornish was a no-show at a screening for her movie Candy. Organizers say it had nothing to do with rumors that she is cause of Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon’s split last week.

The People’s Choice Awards will be interesting, since Vince Vaughn is in competition with Brad Pitt for Favorite Leading Man. Who would have thought that Vinney boy would have been considered a “leading man”. Hope he wins.

No one cares about the People’s Choice Awards, they’re a joke.
It’s a world of Patricia Heatonesque type desperados, sitting in the audience, hoping they’ll get a clear view of People like Julia Roberts or Sandy Bullock on the video screen — where they’ll sit watching the real movie star’s taped in advance speeches — delivered via fedex earlier in the say….because artists and real actors usually have absolutely nothing to do with the show.
They have as much cred as the Teen Choice awards - whatever garbage gets hyped the most for the year gets in - they tell the winners in advance hoping they’ll show up, and they tape in advance as well - because no one wants to make a production out of going to such a cheesy event.
The blockbuster & MTV awards have more cred. Seriously, they do.
The only person that could possibly be excited is 40 year old Jennifer Aniston who had her power money hungry agent plead and beg for the crumbs off Hollywood’s plate for his client. Next stop, Dancing w/ the Stars Jennifer.
