Brad Hides Behind a Hanky

Well, I finally got to see ‘Babel!’ What a movie! I was totally blown away by the performances, by everyone, professional actors, and non-professional. Brad deserves to be recognized for this piece of work, as well as the Japanese actress. I won’t say anymore to spoil it for anyone, but I will say that it’s a must-see! Two thumbs up, way, way up!

Great to hear that shooting of AMH is finally in its last stages of shooting.

I loved his Charlie Rose interview. I love Charlie Rose. I want to see Pitt on James Lipton because it would pull together the breadth of Pitt’s work for all to see and finally IMO give him the recognition for it that he really deserves.

I want to hear him talk about his craft. I want to know what made him chose certain characters and what he personally brought to the role. I want to know how he feels he’s grown and changed as an actor and where he sees himself in the future. I want to know his personal philosophy when it comes to his craft and I want him to sit in front of other aspiring actors and discuss what has made him so great so that it can be known that beyond his looks he’s a very talented man and should be respected for that.

He did that a bit on Charlie Rose, but I like that Lipton’s focus is on the entirety of his craft and you get to learn so much about the personal philosophy of the actor and get to know what has made them into the actors they are. I’ve gained respect for actors used to consider far less unworthy, such as Teri Hatcher (who actually has a great singing voice), Jennifer Lopez (who actually has held her own with some heavy weight male actors in a way few other women could or have) and Dave Chapelle (who I always loved, but who I recognized how intelligent some of his comedy is).
I think Brad should have that same forum, it would blow people away to realize how much he’s actually contributed to the acting scene. Especially for a man whose career began as the pretty boy in Thelma & Louise.

I love Latin American directors, writers, movies in general too. I love Y Tú Mama También also. Gael is such a great actor. I want to see more of his work too.

One of my most favorite is Maria Full of Grace. I loved the actress in the film and the theme. It was really memorable to me.

Grabbed the horrid In Touch w/ Ryan Phillipe on cover and Angie up top, because of this headline — “Latest News: Angelina’s Baby Bump” then over her pic it says, “She’s wearing pregnancy clothes again.” I scanned the article and I swear those rag writers must camp out on JJ and read our ****. LOL They had the same theories, the all-black, tunic’d Angelina who gets skinnier before she gets bigger in her first trimester. Best of all, they claim to have this quote from a Brad rep: “I don’t know that to be true.”

Amaya - not only did Keith detach the leg but he threw at the camera. The woman sitting next to him covered her mouth because she was laughing uncontrollably. It was money well spent on the doll. lol

I personally like men with dark hair and salt and pepper hair is so sexy, the only exception I make to that is with Brad. I agree, whenever I see some random flashback on TDS that shows Jon with all dark hair, it’s wierd. He looks way better with the gray.

Speaking of hair, is it me, or does CM’s hair look like a badly made white/blonde toupee? Seriously, I can’t even pay attention to what he’s saying cause all I can do is look at the hair and listen to the tone of his voice. I don’t even hear the words.

ntt - They chose Paul McCartney as Man of the Year and Justin Timberlake as the International Man of the Year. Angie barely missed it. LOL. :lol:

Good evening fellow BAMZ fans. I just got home after watching Babel and I’m gonna tell you guys my eyes are still swollen from crying. I’m not gonna spoil anything by giving details but there’s something in this movie that will touch your soul. Brad Pitt gave his best performance ever and I’m 100% percent sure that he will get nominated for this movie. Well, I have to say goodnight to everybody!

I think Borat is going to be #1 again, for sure. I noticed that most young people go to see it, while the folks, who went to see Babel, are middle aged or older. And the young kids go to see Flushed Away (or whatever that movie is called).

Motorbike was a major form of transportation in smaller cities around Asia. we have lot of it here. the proper attire in riding a motorbike was a good helmet and a mask covering your mouth and nose from dust, pollution and cold air in cooler season. In a congested and dusty city like Pune, covering his mouth with scarf was definitely needed.
