MUMBAI: Mumbaikar’s may be used to rubbing shoulders with actors, but when Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt stepped out of their hotel room to enjoy the afternoon sun at the Gateway of India on Sunday with their adopted children Zahara and Maddox, they were followed by a crowd that couldn’t stop staring at them.

Jolie and Pitt, who landed in Mumbai on Saturday, are putting up at Hotel Taj, which turned into a fortress with both cops and hotel staff guarding the place. The couple stepped out of their hotel at around 2.15 pm and spent around 20 minutes walking on the footpath along the Gateway of India.

What caught the fancy of the onlookers was Pitt carrying Maddox on his shoulders while Zahara rested comfortably in Angelina’s arms. She too, did manage to perch on to Jolie’s shoulder for a while. Both mother and daughter wore colour coordinated black outfits.

They stopped to check out postcards being pedalled by a street urchin, who explained the photographs to them in broken English. They, however, didn’t buy any as the crowds simply kept swelling.

Maddox and Zahara were more interested in looking at the crowd that followed them, only to be kept at a distance by their bodyguards. After a 20 minutes stroll, the couple were hurriedly taken inside the hotel.

The arrival of the Hollywood stars was of course the talking point of most people. Many families that had come to enjoy an afternoon at the Gateway, knew nothing about the presence of the stars but sensing the crowd, they too rushed to catch a glimpse.

In Mumbai for the last leg of its shooting in India, the crew and its celebrity cast of A Mighty Heart — including Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie — are absorbing the sights and sounds of the city.

And, apart from the Enfield bike that Brad Pitt is believed to have purchased from a dealer in Pune, he and partner Angelina Jolie are sure to take back pleasant memories from Mumbai too.

Besides shopping for footwear and children’s products, Brangelina, as they are popularly called, attended a cast and crew party at Colaba’s Indigo on Saturday night.

Sources in their crew, who did not wish to be named as they are not authorised to speak to the media, said the couple was thoroughly enjoying their stay at the hotel, especially the sea view from their suite.

They are also excited about staying at the Taj Mahal Hotel’s Rajput suite, which was once inhabited by John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

They added that stories about Brangelina’s plans to adopt an Indian baby are “totally baseless” as are reports of “Y-category security due to threats from Al-Qaeda.”

Before returning to the US this weekend, Jolie will wrap up shooting for the film, while Pitt is expected to make a trip to Rajasthan for shooting an ad film.

The film, A Mighty Heart, is based on the book by Marianne Pearl documenting the life of her husband, slain journalist Daniel Pearl. Among the shooting locations listed are The Gateway of India, McDonalds, Colaba, the Taj Mahal Hotel, Elphinstone College and other South Mumbai locations.

When asked to confirm the same, Indian line producer Aarti Surendranath said, “We are hoping to shoot Mumbai as it is, with its everyday energy. To portray that we need to be careful not to reveal our shooting locations.”

The production’s offices are set up close in the Palkhi restaurant building, owned by Kishan Mulchandani.

The film, that is co-produced by Pitt’s company Plan B, will be directed by Michael Winterbottom and also stars Daniel Futterman, Archie Punjabi and Irrfan Khan.

Angelina is a winner: Brad, healthy beautiful kids, professional success, world-wide respect. Of course loosers cannot stand her (and we see so many hiding in the internet): she is a constant reminder of their inadequacies and incapacity to enjoy a full life.

So whenever B&A family pictures appear loosers go crazy, happiness makes them insane. That’s why I almost never answer their rantings, they are a sad subproduct, inevitable in their drabness.

It’s too bad that what Too Bad doesn’t understand is that movies like Borat - a comedy that appeals to a large number of people - are made with the hopes that they’ll do huge numbers at the box office. That success in turn allows th e studios to make SERIOUS MOVIES ABOUT SERIOUS SUBJECT, such as Babel. None of the movies nominated for Best Picture last year cracked the $100MIL mark. If you look back at the history of the Best Picture nominees - they’re usually NOT mass-market movies. Occasionally you’ll get a film like “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” that is a huge success at the box office despite being a foreign film with subtitles. But that happens once every 10 or 15 years! Meanwhile, the Borats get made in plentitude with the hopes that the commonality of base humor will appeal to a huge number of people and make a ton of money. Obviously Too Bad doesn’t understand the way movie-making works. It’s equally obvsious that Too Bad isn’t even TRYING to understand that. Actually, it’s pretty obvious that Too Bad is a stupid Faniston who had nothing to do this morning and decided to come on and torture BAMZS fans with idiot posts.

Gossippup, I am still on the pregnancy bandwagon with you. My first reaction to seeing AJ carrying Z, in that manner was that she was hiding another bump with Z. It’s what she did with Shiloh too. First of all, all ya’ll know damn well Z had a fit because she wanted Daddy to carry her, so my guess is that she’s riding Angie’s hip for a reason. Also, Angie has on that sheared pregnancy shirt, the one that gets all blousy at the bottom. Angie seems to have a high bump when she starts out enabling her to wear blousy sweaters or tee’s and hide it quite nicely — remember the Japan press conference? She had on skinny slacks and a black sweater that she had just bloused over a bit — and the public at large really didn’t suspect anything.

Btw, I love Z’s expressions, she gives such attitude…and her face reminds me of Angie’s so much — if you look at their profiles it’s because they have a wider, flatter face, tiny noses and then BOOYAH!! with the lips! LOL.

Babel did amazing well - the real proof is in the per theater average, where Babel kicked ass all over the place. Arthouse, subtitled flicks typically don’t do business even approaching this, prior to awards season. It’s usually only when a small indie film has picked up awards, as that article was saying, that the $ come pouring in…yet Bable is raking it in before. Those are amazing signs.

…and lastly, the AJ arms things — hate to break it to the haters, but those are the same arms she’s had all along, the same arms she had when people worldwide describe her as the most beautiful and desirable woman in the world, the same arms nabbed the sexiest woman in the world title, and most beautiful woman (and family) award in people, the same arms that have written of her UN travels, doled out medicine to the sick, shook hands with Kings & Queens and secretaries of state, and senators and congressmen, they’re the same arms that have embraced an Oscar, and 3 Golden Globes, the same arms that Jane Smith used to crack a dude’s neck in MAMS and conversely wrap around Brad two times in the Bogata dance scene - LOL, the same arms that cradle her babies, and embrace Brad Pitt every night……

NOTHING has changed.

It’s just that the hater’s are getting more hateful, and realize that this is a FAMILY for REAL, and that AJ has it ALL. So they’ve become obsessed with her being slender and thin (even though she’s been skinny FOREVER give or take 5-7 pounds at any given time, even when PREG) - THAT is what they REALLY hate. LOL Poor Okra outweighed Angie by about 75 pounds when Angie was 9 months preg? You know a ***** sees red over this kind of ****.

But it’s all kind of ridiculous, it’s like us, suddenly saying of Traniston…’OH MY GOD — her BIG ASS NOSE and her MANNISH CHIN, and her fug DUSTIN HOFFMAN-LIKE FACE!!’ Where in the world did that come from??? Eeeeeeeew! How gross that Brad woke up to that every day, or heh- every 6 months, when they were kinda together!’ I mean with BAMZSers it’s obvious that we are consistent and speak truth to power, we have always maintained Traniston was fug, it will the same yesterday, as it is today, as it will be tomorrow. Angie could gain some weight of course (and she will in her second trimester..heee! :-) — and that delicately slender look will be gone…but the fug will stay with the Man til the grave. That’s what they’re truly insane with rage at.

You haters are trying to come at us, at the 11th hour with the skinny thing and the arm thing, and sorry — but it’s just weak and desperate, it shows you’re just REACHING for anything you sad miserable haters. LOLOL

TOO BAD, Will & Jada have an open marriage. The only way they will divorce is if one is caught PUBLICLY with someone else there by making it almost mandatory that one files for divorce. It’s not because they really care but to save face with the public. Another thing, they have been moreso than any other couple out in the spotlight on red carpet events with their children. Will even has his son now in movies and he’s only 8 or 9. They are pushing for their children to be in the entertainment business like any other family business. I don’t see anyone saying they are pimping their kids for publicity.
