OlderBrad & Angie Tour Gateway of India
It was a Pitt family affair earlier this morning, as they took a tour around the seafront promenade at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. Angelina Jolie carried daughter Zahara, almost 2, while Brad Pitt carried son Maddox, 5, on his shoulders. Brad even took the time to chat up tourists along the way!
Security officer Mickey Brett left his pink shirt at home, but black works too!
UPDATE 1 :: Just added one more photo of Brad and Angelina attempting a covert arrival into Mumbai via a chopper. They were immediately ushered into the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower, where the couple had their dinner date last night.
UPDATE 2 :: Hahaha. Looks like Maddox is falling asleep (or already did!) on Brad’s shoulders. Poor little guy must be beat!

Babel is an INDIE movie, you know like Maniston’s “Friends With Money”. And at the end of the day Brad’s indie movie will make more money than Maniston’s indie movie.
I love the way Babel is not about box office it’s about art and communication. Raise hands how many of you think Borat will get an Oscar nomination?

Brad Pitt’s Oscar-touted Babel from Paramount Vintage hung in Friday for #7 by expanding its theater count to 1,251: it took in $1.7 mil for what should be a $5 mil weekend and a new cume of $7.3 mil.
Babel has extended it’s limited run and is doing quite well. It is an art house movie with sub-titiles (technically a foreign film). It is doing good business at the Box office and will get Oscar Nominations. So hater take that and weep at the pictures of a happy family.

I checked Babel and it seems to be doing all right for such a seriously-themed, subtitled movie. I hope to be able to add to the total by this afternoon, or next week.

If it wasn’t about the box office, why would Brad fly to LA for the premier. Borat, an almost complete unknown has made more money in two weeks than Babel will ever make. And Friend’s with money was actually a really good movie. Why do you think Brangelina can’t stay in America too long? Because they cannot act like they own the country here. Of course they get a lot of attention, as they like it, but nobody here is stupid enough to rope off the country for them and we seem them for what they are. Their kids are cute though, take those away from them and what do you have? Not too much, that is why they need more & more, to divert attention from themselves. Poor Zaraha she can never even smile, wondering why she can’t just stay in a regular house with her own room to have some security. Poor Maddox is a a Gary Coleman in the making. Try to comprehend that Babel is playing in LESS THEATERS and therefore has less opportunity to make as much money you IDIOT!
Babel is only playing in 1,251 theaters while every movie above it is playing in MORE. Not to mention that half the movie is in SUBTITLES and most americans won’t sit through a movie where they have to READ!

I can’t resist! Borat was only playing in 837 theaters last week and was number one! Over 26million. Much less theaters than 1251 theaters and much more money. HAHHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHA. Boy you Brangelina fans sure get upset when presented with real facts. And no I am not a fat & ugly Maniston fan. I could care a less about her. I really love how one poster cannot take the truth and is BEGGING for Jared to remove posts that they don’t like. That is one reason that America is so wonderful, it’s call freedom of speech! And I am obviously not Dumbed Down because some of you have already gone to the website I showed you to get statistics. HAHHAHAH BABEL SUCKS! I can’t believe that this TOO BAD person is actually comparing Babel to Borat? Sheesh, Borat is a comedy that poked fun at everybody and you know how teen-agers (who go to the movies a lot) would love that. My 17-year-old and his friends went yesterday to see it. Babel is not and was not meant to be that way - it’s an indie film where Cate and Brad took pay cuts to do just because they loved the script and the director. And as for Brad going all the way to LA for the premiere, that wasn’t really for money, that was just to support the movie. Heck, if all he wanted to do was make movies that would be blockbusters, then all he would be doing would be Ocean’s 14, 15, ad infinitum, or M&MS part 2, 3 etc. But Brad has always been known to be adventurous with his movie choices (Fight Club, Seven, Seven Years in Tibet) and blockbusters are not his primary goal.
People, Babel is a very good movie. Last night I posted and was scolded by someone who said I had revealed too much. I disagree. I revealed next to nothing, and much, much less than any of the reviews. That said, anyone who thought Babel was going to be #1 at the box office this weekend was dreaming. This is not a commerical flim. Surely, no one thought it was going to beat out Borat, or Stranger Than Fiction. This is a thought provoking film, no potty humor, no silly sex jokes. The box office has nothing to do with Brad leaving his X. What it has to do with is Americans unwillingness to challenge themselves mental. To see something that will make them think, and wonder. So please don’t gloat. I don’t think anyone making this film thought it was going to beat out Boratl. Had it done that everyone around the world would have been in shock. Challenge yourself. See something intelligent for a change.
