The Family Pitt Weekend

In India, giving Madd and Z some quality parenting time, the perfect Pitts on promenade on the streets of Mumbai withOUT a 10 member swat team in full attack mode. Sure, they have security and of course, they would have to given the sheer numbers they’re walking through to say nothing of protecting the children and still, you will note that their team is not cloaked in combat gear ready for battle….

unlike Jennifer Aniston who arrived at LAX with what looked like her own Secret Service detail. But she’ (Aniston )s so regular and low key, right?

Anyway, as you can see, little Zahara is chubbin’ out quite nicely and Maddox’s Asian gangsta hair is ummm ready for a cut. More importantly though – those bimonthly break up reports?

Hay ya’ll! I missed the whole weekend, and man, Jared has been busy! So many pictures, and Brad and Angie are rockin’ the hell out of life. More power to them, especially if it makes their detractors chew on their keyboards.

I was going to say the same thing about the other thread, gitane. I think I best avoid that litter box. The pics are great, though.

I haven’t seen D Futterman since The Bird Cage, and I have to say, he sorta got overshadowed in that movie by the wonderful Nathan Lane. Maybe this time I can pay him more attention, but I doubt it, with Angie on the screen. I can’t wait to see this movie.

For those of you who are disappointed, well…..take comfort in the fact that they frequently practice their parts, and I am sure that when the time comes for the plum role of The Impreganator to be portrayed, Brad will be well rehearsed and there will have been plenty of dress rehearsals and curtain calls, and Angie will deliver a fine performance.

Good Morning fellow BAMZ fans! All I can say is that Angelina is sooooo beautiful. First time I fell in love with her is when I saw her in that movie FOXFIRE. I’ve been following her career ever since. I was never impressed with Hollywood actors until I discovered AJ. There is something about her onscreen presence that gravitates you, and if you’ve noticed, she has never been afraid to tackle difficult and challenging roles. But most of all, her honesty is very rare, she didn’t care what people think of her coz she wants to live her life the way she wants to and I deeply admire her for that esp. in Hollywood where image is everything.

I’m so confused. According to boxofficemojo.com, babel is no. 6 with something like $5 million, and its total is (domestic) is $7,888+. So why do those JenHens at FF keep saying it’s a failure? It’s only been out on domestic release for 3 weeks — and compared with Russell Crowe’s movie (at $3+ million) I thought Babel did so much better. Do you think it will make more money as the weeks pass by or is this how much it will make at all?

Wait a minute! You guys didn’t hear? The news from London this morning said that Madonna is in talks with Brad to make a movie. Guy Ritchie will direct and Madonna and Brad will star. It’s suppose to be a remake of an Italian movie that was very steamy in the early 70’s, so you know there is going to be sex involve in that movie. MUMBAI: The unit of ‘A Mighty Heart’ on Monday began filming scenes from the life of slain Wall Street journalist Daniel Pearl played by Dan Futterman and his wife Marianne played by Angelina Jolie.

It was a complete makeover for both Futtermann, who has a resemblance to Pearl, the journalist abducted and killed by Al Qaida in Pakistan, and Angelina who was dressed in a lime green top and a pink sarong for the scenes.

“Both looked very real to the characters they are playing in the film,” said a photographer. The week-long shooting schedule began at Gateway of India promenade outside the Taj Mahal Hotel with a few shots of Jolie and Futterman walking along the promenade.

The crew then shifted to Imperial Hair Salon where Pearl usually had his hair cut. It was a field day for Indian shutterbugs, who got unfettered access to Jolie. Although the actors didn’t interact with the media, they allowed them to take pictures while shooting.

After the hair salon scene, the duo boarded a second-class western railway train, travelling from Charni Road to Churchgate. But not many on the station or the train recognised Jolie. “Had it been a Hindi film actor, there would’ve been a stampede,” said a commuter.

Jolie’s securitymen tailed her everywhere, but had to keep a distance while the couple travelled on the train. The actors even stood in queue to buy their second-class tickets.

A scene was also canned in Palki restaurant in Colaba, and another in a taxi. The shooting of ‘A Mighty Heart’ will continue on Tuesday. The media relations person from the unit refused to give details of the location.

“All I can say is they are shooting in Mumbai but can’t give you specific locations.” As for meeting the press, she said, “We will inform you when we plan.”

a good one? that was a downright frightening idea! madonna trying to act again {{shivers}}. it was cruel. very very cruel.

everything’s fine here. quiet. we’re getting the place ready for christmas. they’ve got lights in the trees, garlands & bows out on the rails. it’s starting to look really festive and pretty. they’ve turned the entire atrium of the hotel into a winter wonderland. they start decorating for christmas around here in july just because the property is so big and it takes so much effort. i can’t believe that thanksgiving is next week. this year has gone by much too fast.

i love spending thanksgiving with my friends. it’s something i started doing in college. we were too broke to go home so we stayed on campus and cooked for each other. now i pick a friend and stay with them a couple of days, cook for them and hang out. it’s a lot of fun.

Hold on just a doggone second here…where’s your proof? Do y’all have the negative pregnancy test? No. You don’t. All we’ve got are pictures of Angie with a very flat belly. BUT…that doesn’t mean she’s not pregnant. It just might mean that’s she’s not showing yet. So…even though I disembarked the Baby Train earlier today myself it doesn’t mean that if it turns out she is preggers that I won’t be back on here saying, “We told you so!”

When one disembarks the Baby Train one is left on terra firma so there’s nothing to “board”. As such you ladies will only look like looney Fanistons as you stand beside the empty railroad tracks laughing evilly at nothing.

I remember in an interview Angelina gave that when she does a part, she really goes where the character is and doesn’t really get out of character until shooting is over. Certain roles like in Gia & Girl, Interuupted, she mentioned she never ever wants to go to that well ever again. This film must really be draining for her considering the story and if she stays true to her acting method. We all remember it, as it was only 4 years ago. I’m happy she has Brad and the children for their love & support.

I went to TWO parent/teacher conferences today for each of my kids… Amaya I agree I can’t keep up! Even Jolie-Pitt will have to go to these–wish them luck LOL I am touched and impressed with all the teachers taking care of our kids. They are the true “women (and men) of courage”, not some millionaire divorcée who markets her Pity Party.

It’s amazing how selective memory works. Dredging up a derogatory comment about VV, when more than likely, a BAMZS fan, like me, probably leapt to VV’s defense. I know I’m not the only one here who still like VV despite his relationship with X. There’s a site called Female’s First and I think some of those women have taken to trolling the internet and posting as much negativity about Brad and Angie as they can to drum up bad PR and make it seem as if everyone hates these two.

Also, there is a lot of underlying racism with these women. They are angry that Mr. Blond and Blue-eyes himself is calling a young Black girl and young Asian boy his children. I can’t agree with you completely. I do find VV sexy; he’s got great hair- I love curls, and a nice pair of lips. I also like his eyes, although there are bags underneath them, but when that man has 5 o’clock shadow… he’s pretty cute.

But I have to agree about Sacha Baron Cohen. He’s fearless, beyond even Will Ferrell, IMO. Then again, Borat is only his second American outing, so maybe the enthusiasm is a bit premature. But I have to say, Sacha and Isla Fisher could steal the first couple of comedy, assuming that Isla will continue doing comedies. I agree there are definitely more than a few people out there who don’t like Pitt/Jolie, but I think it’s always been that way for them (Jolie/Pitt) even before they got together. Most celebs are built up to be torn down.

The thing that protected Pitt for a while was that he was married to Aniston who the Queen of the Plain Janes of America. It made him more accessible and not like he was lording his looks and fame over everyone. Now he’s just fair game as he would be had he of not married Aniston.

I think too though, he’s not interested in the award and I don’t think Clooney is either. He’s probably being jokingly serious, but I also think he and Pitt are a lot alike that’s why they rotate in the same circle.

I kinda like Clive Owen; he pretty much stole Closer from Jude Law and Julia Roberts, although I wish he would’ve stolen a better product than that crappy movie. I also liked him in Sin City. But I prefer brown eyes. Owen does have a glint to his eyes that is sinister. I think I prefer Hugh Jackman, though. His smile just kills me, especially the way his eyes crinkle.

I got Clive’s “Close my eyes” movie and his “Chancer” series (6 DVD’s) and I have to say that he is so sexy in both, especially in “Close my eyes” . I totally indulged …total satisfaction.

I am from America of which I am VERY proud! I have no idea what Female First is! Babel might get nominated for an Oscar but it is still a bomb. If you go back there are quite a few movies that have won Oscar’s that are bombs. Most of it is all political. Borat took in 3 times as much with less theaters in it’s first week and he is virtually unknown in America. I believe most of it is word of mouth. So if this flick is so great wouldn’t word of mouth made it do better? Angelina should have stayed with Billy Bob if she wanted to be with a good actor. He is a fantastic actor, you might need to put a bag over his head, but you can’t have everything. You people are so funny, it is so easy to get you upset. Like putty in my hands.

This fear was confirmed in Brad and Angie, and they’re just too slow mentally to understand that Brad/Angie happened for reasons much more serious than looks/age.

Vegas Pulls Plug On Wax Brad And Angelina Wedding
LAS VEGAS (November 13, 2006) — Organizers of a fantasy wedding on the Las Vegas Strip between Hollywood’s hottest unmarried couple got cold feet.

Madame Tussauds nixed the plan to stage a depiction of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tying the knot after a representative for Pitt protested, representatives for the actor and the wax museum said Monday.

“I personally found it a little odd that they were recreating a wedding that never really happened,” said Cindy Guagenti, Los Angeles-based spokeswoman for Pitt. “As Brad’s representative, I found it disturbing.”

Adrian Jones, general manager of the wax museum at The Venetian resort, said in a statement that the decision was made to not cross the stars.

“Since Madame Tussauds enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene,” he said.

The Brangelina “wedding” had been scheduled Wednesday to mark the unveiling of a Jolie wax figure. Pitt’s already got one.

The scene would have had wax figures of George Clooney, standing in as best man, and the Rev. Robert Schuller, pastor and president of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., officiating.

“Witnesses” could have included the likenesses of dozens — including Elvis, Liberace, John Wayne, Bugsy Siegel, Frank Sinatra, Ben Affleck and Luciano Pavarotti.

Instead, Jolie’s wax figure will be introduced Wednesday, sans wedding bells.

Guagenti said Pitt was unaware of Madame Tussauds’ plans. He and Jolie were with their three children in Mumbai, India, where Jolie is filming a movie about slain journalist Daniel Pearl.

Pitt told Esquire magazine for its October edition that he doesn’t intend to marry Jolie until legal restrictions are lifted in the U.S. and “everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”

Babel played on only 1251 screens this last weekend. Its “per theater take” is $4442, almost the same with “Flushed away” which took in 16.5 mil this weekend, but plays in 3 TIMES AS MANY screens as Babel and is in 3rd place.

Maybe she will give one to her best friend Jen Jen. She was buying a lot of baby clothes recently! I know I know she said that she wasnt into adoption but hey..she also said charity wasnt her thing and there she was in that play for charity..AND selflessly wearing that T-SHIRT recently. So she ISN’T planning on taking them home with her? Figures. Yeah, people will love her for that. Keeping them in their “own” country… Oprah has so much money Im not saying that it is a bad thing. I think it is good but are these children never going to have a family? If she “adopts” them, will they no longer be eligible for adoption? ‘The Departed’ has made close to $170 million worldwide. My point is that Brad is doing fine. In reply to your post ‘Lurker/fan” I prefer Brad and Angie to be happy than for them to be unhappy because they want to please the world. Like Angie said, I don’t think most people know the real Brad but yet they try to judge him. I think he’s quiet and he does not really boast of what he’s capable of. Point in question was when he was asked what he was good at, he humbly declined answering that question. The guy is doing a lot of good things, and if anyone has been following he’s going to produce tons of movies. I am really sorry for people who do not get this couple.

Lurker, I know you are a fan, but most people predicted things about this couple that did not happen, the tabloids continue to get ’snarky’ because they are saving faces for being wrong so far. I’m glad Extra presented them with a check to help their charity, and a lot of people are copying what they are doing which means they indirectly approve even if they are not saying so, especially if it is true that Oprah adopted 10 kids in South Africa. Like someone said however, I think Oprah will just send them to school etc, they’ll probably not be living with her. The details will be in her ‘O’ magazine.

With her fortune, I think Oprah should sponsor a whole orphange, instead of just 10 kids.

Babel Worldwide boxoffice will be about $14.5 (estimates) as of Nov. 12.

It is now showing in Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Turkey (possibly Poland and Latvia).

i sponsored kids too with certain organisation at one time for a full 2 year. What they will do is that they will give you the kid’s pic and they write to you too. But it was sweet of those kids to write. It wasn’t really expensive to do it.

i don’t really know about the scheme of sponsorship that Oprah is into. So i can’t comment.

This coming from a woman who said in print some 6 months or so ago, “I don’t want to be the spokes person of this or that” regarding charity, and her fans yapped away about Aniston “giving QUIETLY” comparing to Jolie-Pitt.

Any “damage control” now, although it IS a good thing she is helping St. Jude, is just looked upon as a pathetic attempt to get on the “charity bandwagon”, again, riding on Pitt’s coat tail. “Ride-a-Pitt”. Too bad, it looks Aniston missed the train. Again.

Just as Aniston is telling me that she was a little worried about doing this interview because “there’s nothing left to talk about and I’m sick of everything about myself,” an older woman approaches our table. “Oh?” says Aniston.

“You don’t know anything about it,” says the woman.

“No,” says Aniston. “I’m mortified. That’s terrible.”

“Oh, it’s OK,” says the woman, and then she goes on to detail the work they do around the world, including one particular event held in Israel that brought together 5,000 Israeli children. “After that was in the newspaper,” she says, “your PR people called and said you were interested. And then nobody ever followed up.”

“Oh, great,” says Aniston, who at this point clearly does not believe this story. The woman presses a card into Aniston’s hand and says, “All right, well, thank you very much. Nice to meet you.” As soon as the woman is out of earshot, Aniston turns to me and sends the entire awkward moment up:

“Well. You said you wanted to save the dying children?”

“Mmmm. No. I don’t recall that.”

“Yeah. They said so. They called and said you were interested and then you just decided never to call again. But the children are dead now, so it’s OK. The window has passed. But it’s good to meet you in person!”

It’s one of the great perks of what we do.” Long pause as she realizes she’s beginning to wade into Brad-and-Angelina territory. “And everybody participates in their own way, whether it’s political or economic. I think we all do our part. I’m more… I like to be… I get really nervous about public anything when it’s making a declaration. I should probably become more opinionated about certain things. But you know, I just don’t like… I see a lot of… See, this is where I don’t want to get too into this, because, you know, I want to be very delicate about… actors going out there and… being… politicians. Or representatives of this and that. Which I find… It’s just not my thing. It’s not what interests me. I commend anybody who goes out there and does it. DAY One in Mumbai for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt included sightseeing and partying. But as soon as the weekend was over, Jolie was back at work, first thing Monday morning. At about 9.30 am the cast and crew of A Mighty Heart began shooting outside the Taj Mahal Palace & Towers. The scene required Jolie and co-star Dan Futterman, who plays Daniel Pearl in the film, to walk on the beautiful seaside pavement. It was business as usual for Jolie, while Pitt and kids were nowhere to be seen.

Later, the two actors went on to shoot in a small roadside hair salon and in the building that houses Palkhi restaurant. The entourage then got into their cars and parked near Grant Road station. They shot a scene in a small shop from where Jolie bought a cooling bottle of Pepsi. The onscreen couple also got themselves a taste of the Mumbai’s local trains. Around 11.30 am they arrived at Churchgate station and Jolie, in beige pants and a blue T-shirt, along with her co-star, moved into the waiting car, dodging the media.

Back to the hotel by noon, they came out around 1.30 pm and took a ferry from the Gateway. Passers-by followed the media interestedly. “Koi foreigner hai,” said a clueless onlooker, as another enlightened her friend, “They’re shooting journalist Daniel Pearl’s life story.” Twenty minutes later they were back in the hotel.

Then the crew shot some scenes at Ballard Estate. Jolie now wore a skirt and sported Marianne Pearl’s pregnant bulge. Jolie’s own bulge has vanished—the actor’s newborn Shiloh Nouvel is just six months old.
