OlderAngelina Hops on a Train in Mumbai
Angelina Jolie created quite the commotion in Mumbai, India earlier this morning by jumping on a packed local train from Charni Road station to Churchgate. Angelina was shooting Michael Winterbottom’s A Mighty Heart with co-star Dan Futterman (pictured below). Imagine that! Riding the train into work and Angelina Jolie commuting with you. Ha!
In Touch is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dropped by the Bharatiya Samaj Seva Kendra family adoption center and gave toys all the kids. “It was great excitement not only for our kids but for our staff as well,” the orphanage’s executive director Roxana Kalyanvala said.
“Brad and Angelina were lovely and genuinely adore kids. Every move and every look of the couple was filled with love for our children and we were floored with their genuine affection,” Roxana added.
Angelina kissed and hugged the children while Brad got down on the floor with them, rolling on the ground and entertaining them. “He was like a kid himself,” says Aruna Thake, a child development worker at the center.

ntt,I have a feeling Oprah is financially supporting these 10 kids and putting them through school.I don’t think she will be taking them home with her to live.

I am watching ET, they just said Oprah is adopting 10 kids from South Africa. They didn’t elaborate, they just had her friend saying she is saving those kids that are growing up having nothing. They also had Meryl Streep helping refugees. I didn’t catch the whole thing.

Vegas Pulls Plug On Wax Brad And Angelina Wedding
LAS VEGAS (November 13, 2006) — Organizers of a fantasy wedding on the Las Vegas Strip between Hollywood’s hottest unmarried couple got cold feet.
Madame Tussauds nixed the plan to stage a depiction of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt tying the knot after a representative for Pitt protested, representatives for the actor and the wax museum said Monday.
“I personally found it a little odd that they were recreating a wedding that never really happened,” said Cindy Guagenti, Los Angeles-based spokeswoman for Pitt. “As Brad’s representative, I found it disturbing.”
Adrian Jones, general manager of the wax museum at The Venetian resort, said in a statement that the decision was made to not cross the stars.
“Since Madame Tussauds enjoys excellent relationships with the celebrity community, we made our own decision not to create the wedding scene,” he said.
The Brangelina “wedding” had been scheduled Wednesday to mark the unveiling of a Jolie wax figure. Pitt’s already got one.
The scene would have had wax figures of George Clooney, standing in as best man, and the Rev. Robert Schuller, pastor and president of the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif., officiating.
“Witnesses” could have included the likenesses of dozens — including Elvis, Liberace, John Wayne, Bugsy Siegel, Frank Sinatra, Ben Affleck and Luciano Pavarotti.
Instead, Jolie’s wax figure will be introduced Wednesday, sans wedding bells.
Guagenti said Pitt was unaware of Madame Tussauds’ plans. He and Jolie were with their three children in Mumbai, India, where Jolie is filming a movie about slain journalist Daniel Pearl.
Pitt told Esquire magazine for its October edition that he doesn’t intend to marry Jolie until legal restrictions are lifted in the U.S. and “everyone else in the country who wants to be married is legally able.”
If that is true about Oprah, i wonder if we will hear the same criticisms about her that angie gets? Why doesnt she adopt from the US, how come she can adopt so easily? She is just collecting kids like bracelets..etc.
Maybe she will give one to her best friend Jen Jen. She was buying a lot of baby clothes recently! I know I know she said that she wasnt into adoption but hey..she also said charity wasnt her thing and there she was in that play for charity..AND selflessly wearing that T-SHIRT recently. WHAT A HUMANITARIAN! So, it wouldnt be a surprise to have her flip flop about this too.
Babel played on only 1251 screens this last weekend. Its “per theater take” is $4442, almost the same with “Flushed away” which took in 16.5 mil this weekend, but plays in 3 TIMES AS MANY screens as Babel and is in 3rd place.

Let face it, when you see Judge Judy now on national television(Larry King) complimenting Angelina for adopting overseas then you get why Okra is out there in Africa helping kids that she aint gonna have to look after 24/7…you know..help them from a far. Hmm…why does this reminds me of a certain tv sitcom actress - who also seems to admire and love kids from a far.
Okra is not taking home those kids, she’s gonna sponser them, making sure they have a good life… shelter, education etc…..

So she ISN’T planning on taking them home with her? Figures. Yeah, people will love her for that. Keeping them in their “own” country… Oprah has so much money Im not saying that it is a bad thing. I think it is good but are these children never going to have a family? If she “adopts” them, will they no longer be eligible for adoption? Food and clothing are necessities yes, but a child needs a real family.. love of parents. Someone who will be there for them every day.

‘The Departed’ has made close to $170 million worldwide. My point is that Brad is doing fine. In reply to your post ‘Lurker/fan” I prefer Brad and Angie to be happy than for them to be unhappy because they want to please the world. Like Angie said, I don’t think most people know the real Brad but yet they try to judge him. I think he’s quiet and he does not really boast of what he’s capable of. Point in question was when he was asked what he was good at, he humbly declined answering that question. The guy is doing a lot of good things, and if anyone has been following he’s going to produce tons of movies. I am really sorry for people who do not get this couple.
Lurker, I know you are a fan, but most people predicted things about this couple that did not happen, the tabloids continue to get ’snarky’ because they are saving faces for being wrong so far. I’m glad Extra presented them with a check to help their charity, and a lot of people are copying what they are doing which means they indirectly approve even if they are not saying so, especially if it is true that Oprah adopted 10 kids in South Africa. Like someone said however, I think Oprah will just send them to school etc, they’ll probably not be living with her. The details will be in her ‘O’ magazine.

I knew a couple of families that used to sponsor kids. One family sponsored two..and this family was far from rich themselves. I admired their selflessness.. it didnt take much money for these kids to get clothing and food and go to school. Gee, I would think Oprah could have “adopted” a lot more than 10.

Okra is not my favorite person but even I can’t snark on her for sponsoring children. Hopefully going public will inspire other celebrities, persons of wealth and every day folk to do the same. Her motives, whatever they are, are secondary to me.

Okrah and her billions “adopting TEN poor kids” is just ridiculous. If Okrah wanted she could eradicate hunger for half the kids in Africa. 10 kids’ expenses would come to maybe $10-12000/yr-about 15 pairs of shoes for Okra.
I guess she’s responding to all the criticism and comparisons to Angie with this TOKEN little gesture. If the kids stay in Africa, then she could just as easily “adopt” 10000 kids.
She needs 10 lifetimes to spend all the money she has-what is she saving it for?

Did anyone see Aniston on Extra/AccessHollywood? she was there posing with a child cancer patient. She is now doing work with St. Jude’s Children Hospital. A VERY GOOD INSTITUTION I might add. On the surface I say good for her and the institution because even thought St. Jude’s is well known, publicity won’t hurt.
My question is why now? her fans are so proud of her doing so called charity work “quietly” (like there is such a thing) why the television exposure? I don’t want to be cynical but how ironic is it that Jennifer Aniston was on television with a new friend, this cancer patient? A child at that.
Even in a story about TomKat wedding ET had to drag Brad & Angelina into it. They said that Brad & Angelina were on the guest list and are expected. YEAH RIGHT!!!!
Brad wouldn’t have anything to do with that farce. Again the media find a way to keep vieweres interested by saying the name Brad & Angelina on the air. They also tried to get viewers interested by asking the question of the day: who will be the next couple to tie the knot? Of course Brad & Angelina were one of the choices. I tell you, Brad & Angelina should trademark their names.
what’s this? okra’s sponsoring children? is she trying to outdo sally struthers? gotta hand it to okra, she sure knows how to get involved without getting her hands dirty. what she’s doing is good for the kids, but it’d be even better for her if she opened more than her wallet.
