Okay….I’m confused. What would they rather happened? Celebrities stop helping just because it seems like they are following a trend? Well now….that’s just the most idiotic thing.

It is sad when supposedly intelligent people can’t even take the time to do the research on who has been doing what and for how long. If they had, they wouln’t compare AJ’s efforts to GP painting her face black (which I am not denying was done in good faith). AJ has been to over twenty countries, paid her way through, meets with leaders and is not afraid to speak up for refugees, she puts her fears aside and stands up for what she believes in. In a society where other celebs with the same plateform freely admitted that speaking for causes isn’t not their thing or they are to afraid/shy to stand for a cause (but not to shy to pose for pictures on the red carpet) shouldn’t we be commending her efforts and the efforts of those who have made this their thing? Why must we continuously ridicule those who help and laud those who don’t. In an ideal world, Paris Hilton should not be given an audience for obvious reasons yet our world not only gives her an audience, some idiots praise her for “creating a brand”. How crazy is that?

I am of the school of thought that every little bit helps and the end justifying the means but we also have to give credit where credit is due. Some people’s efforts should speak for themselves and in the long run….those who are only in it because it is the latest fad, will move on. At this point I’d like to reiterate the fact that AJ has been doing this for FIVE YEARS….if this was a fad, surely she would have moved on have moved on by now. Goodness, how hard is that to understand?

By the way, what is the difference between any other Hollywood parent holding their child and BP or AJ holding theirs? Oh wait…I forgot, BP and AJ’s kids are adopted so of course, holding them has got to be for PR purposes because it is a well known fact that adopting children is only for PR.

Your post reminds me of a convo I had with my aunt a few yrs ago. She said she’ll never understand how women go into a relationship thinking “oh he’ll never cheat on me”. She believes this is why most of them have a complete melt down when he does cheat on them. instead, she suggests you go into the relationship leaving room for the possibility that he might cheat on you….at least you’ll be mentally prepared if he does and the surprise comes if he doesn’t….no one ever gone mental from a good surprise. I know it is a very jaded way to think but it makes sense. Someone should give Elisabeth H that advice because the way she is carrying on….God help the people around her when she finally loses it.

Passing Through, I think in one of your post you said something like Madonna was dissing AJ in the Time. I read that article, but it didn’t give me that impression, so last nite, I went back and read it again. Here is what is said:

I think she didn’t mean to refer to AJ when she talk about the UN ambassador thing. It’s more like, I could be the kind of ambassador that knows nothing about the issue, and just show up to do photo ops. She knows, and everybody (except the dumb AJ haters) know that AJ is very serious with her UN endeavour.

How are you? I am also looking forward to their next project….it is always nice to see how well they work as a team. Who says you can’t have it all or do it all? With the right partner at your side, the sky is the limit. A lot of Hollywood stars could learn a few things from these two.

I’m fine as frog’s hair, thank you! And yes, I love how Brad and Angie are thriving under 25 tons of scrutiny, and they are proving that a HW couple can have dual careers and a family. I am sure there are times that they get tired, but obviously for them, it’s all worth it. They do it to have each other, and they do it for their babies.

So far the balancing act is working. They have been able to schedule movie production and fiming around each other’s projects, and they also make it a point to spend time alone together. That tells me that they are putting thought into what it is going to take to keep their relationship strong. It seems they both want this relationship badly and are willing to do whatever they have to to make it work. I sincerely hope that all continues to go well for them in the future, because I think we are witnessing one of the great Hollywood love stories of all time.

I agree with alot of what you said. That marriage was over by 2003. Also, Brad went through a really bad emotional time about 1 year into his marriage to X. Now, I don’t know the full story, but evidently he thoguth about suicide…..now that’s a pretty serious breakdown. He said he “crashed and burned”. I also don’t know what the issues were that drove him to that point, and I am not saying it was his new bride, but I am willing to bet the farm that even if she didn’t have a thing to do with it, she wasn’t there to help him when he needed her. I think whatever this breakdown was that he had, and her lack of support, is likely what told him he was with the wrong person. 18 months later, in 2003, is when they both know they were toast as a couple.

Oh my God, Fanistons are children of the worst kind. After reading their idiotic posts, I’m proud of my own children, who have much more common sense than the Fanistons altogether in the world.

Because in 2004 they had films to promote (he had Troy, and I forget what hers was) and when you are talking about a big movie production, there are many people’s jobs at stake, and alot of money that could be lost. I am thinking it was partly because they were told by agants and publicists to wait for the good of their projects. And the other part, I do think that, like ??? said, Jen guilted him into giving it another try. She probably promised him anything because she didn’t want to lose him, but her priorities and his priorities were not the same. She goes all around saying stuff about how they are going to have a baby, and Brad, seeing her priorities are not truly changing one little bit, gets pissed, but since he promised her he’d try, he stays.

Enter Angelina in Jan 04.

I don’t think Brad realized how dead his marriage was until Angie awakened something in him. I don’t think they had a physical relationship until the divorce was filed, but there was chemistry and attraction there, and they both felt aroused and turned on by the other, it’s plain to see. The way the timeline played out, it seems Brad fought his attraction to Angie until the fall of 2004, when he decided he wanted to end his marriage and try to see if he and Angie could make a life together. I don’t think Angie knew anything of his marriage troubles until around the fall of 2004. Somehow I get the feeling that the reshoot in Italy in Sept-Oct 04 was the setting for for a long heart-to-heart for Brad and Angie. I feel Angie knew when he left Italy what he wanted from her, and she also knew he was going home to tell X it was fianlly over and done as far as he was concerned. Brad could leave his marrige feeling he gave Jen every chance to try and be a supportive partner to him, but she didn’t….so he was outta there.

Tom Cruise may have famously jumped on Oprah Winfrey’s couch to declare his love for Katie Holmes, but Winfrey won’t be at his wedding in Italy Saturday.

“It’s not that I’m not going,” Winfrey tells Extra’s AJ Calloway in a segment to air on Tuesday. “It’s that they had a limited number of people that they could invite. I was not one the invitees. That’s fine. I don’t get invited to everyone’s wedding. I don’t invite them to everything I do. But I wish them the best.”

She continues, “I have a great deal of regard for their relationship and so I’m trying to think of what to get them.”

Asked what she’ll get the couple, she says, “I don’t know! I was thinking … I’m easier (to shop for) – you can get me a bubble bath I’m okay – but I don’t know what to give them.”

This is the BEST!! First of all, let me say TWO THINGS.

1)Tom & Katie rock for not inviting Miss Oprah - and I’ll tell you why they did not…I read some interview where Oprah actually referred to Tom’s behavior as odd - she didn’t support him or Katie at that time at all - she just fed into the rumor mill that was swirling around them. Now, did I think Tom had lost his mind on Oprah. Why, OF COURSE. But guess what - OPRAH is the one who’s show he came on, and I’m sure boosted the ratings into the stratosphere, and Oprah is the one who had invited Tom C. to other grand parties and functions of hers before the ‘couch’ incident - in my opinion, it’s the PRINCIPLE of the thing…if they were FRIENDS, and Tom has always been at the top of her list previously — then Oprah should have had her ‘friends’ back - and not gotten in her digs with the rest of the world…but like the SELLOUT she is, she did NOT. This is the sign of a big fat phony. It’s what I always suspected about her.

2) IT’S OFFICIAL - OPRAH is a B**CH. She should NOT have said a thing to the media about Tom & Katie’s wedding and her NOT being invited, as she had to know that would be the news of the day that Tom did NOT invite her to the wedding. Why should he invite a woman who dismissed his feelings and called him weird - a person who he had previously supported and been friends with?? She should have kept her trap shut.
