OlderAngelina Hops on a Train in Mumbai
Angelina Jolie created quite the commotion in Mumbai, India earlier this morning by jumping on a packed local train from Charni Road station to Churchgate. Angelina was shooting Michael Winterbottom’s A Mighty Heart with co-star Dan Futterman (pictured below). Imagine that! Riding the train into work and Angelina Jolie commuting with you. Ha!
In Touch is reporting that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie dropped by the Bharatiya Samaj Seva Kendra family adoption center and gave toys all the kids. “It was great excitement not only for our kids but for our staff as well,” the orphanage’s executive director Roxana Kalyanvala said.
“Brad and Angelina were lovely and genuinely adore kids. Every move and every look of the couple was filled with love for our children and we were floored with their genuine affection,” Roxana added.
Angelina kissed and hugged the children while Brad got down on the floor with them, rolling on the ground and entertaining them. “He was like a kid himself,” says Aruna Thake, a child development worker at the center.

PT—Ohhhhhhh, and here I was trying to be polite. Oyyyy, my laptop was ready to fly out the window everyday between JJ black-outs(sorry JJ, you know I love you both), and 300 emails a day. Oh, it got better with the group email, but the darn thing is so delayed, I never know if my message was posted…. Sooo Ms Passing Through (I know your background, you are more than qualified to help us out) how do we improve it????

Unfortunately there’s nothing we can do about the layout of the YG except complain to Yahoo. And believe me…that’s a total waste of time. I sent them a message about a problem with my e-mail and it took them 3 days to get back to me and by them I’d given up and had you guys send mail to my home ISP account instead. They’ve got a suggestion page where you can submit comments and suggestions…but don’t expect to hear back from them anytime soon!
Personally I think they need to make the layout more like bullentin board so that all of your categories and options are on the first page and you have links to the various topics under discussion. But, Yahoo’s had a similar layout in their groups for dog years, so I think my criticism fell on deaf ears.
A party for NK, sure, why not? I am always for cyber parties.
May I suggest a party for another person I like? Cate Blachett.
What should we do for the parties, besides bringing food, drinks and drugs (just kidding)?

I like the way you think. We just may have to have a Nicole Kidman Appreciation Day.
She did make it possible for Brad and Angie to meet sooner than later. I truly believe Pitt and Jolie were destined to meet. If it wasn’t via MAMS, then it would have been another movie or even through One.org or Doctors Without Borders, etc.

I really like Cate, too, and am so glad she is going to be working with Brad again soon. I thought they had great chemistry together in Babel and will be interested to see how her pairing with George Clooney in The Good German turns out. It would be fun to be Cate right now with the leading men she’s working with!

Daniel Pearl’s barber fails to recognise Jolie!

Unit Brangelina visited the Imperial Hair-Cutting Salon in Colaba to get a feel of where the slain WSJ correspondent cut his hair in Mumbai!
It was quite funny, actually. As part of the on-location shots required to be filmed for their movie ‘A Mighty Heart’ on slain Wall Street Journal Daniel Pearl, Hollywood’s Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited the Imperial Hair-Cutting Salon in Colaba behind the Taj on Monday. Apparently Pearl, who was based in Mumbai but killed in Karachi while following a story on Islamic terrorism, used to get his haircut here.
As luck would have it, the garishly-painted establishment was shut on Monday, but there are few doors in the world that will not open for Hollywood’s Jodi No. 1. Imperial’s manager, M. S. Shekhar, was contacted, and he agreed to open the doors for the shooting. Pitt stayed away, but Jolie and co-actor Dan Futterman (they play Marianne and Daniel Pear, respectively) turned up. The Imperial’s staff were on leave, but fortunately, the film unit had brought its own actors to play the barbers’ roles! Manager Shekhar failed to recognise the Hollywood sex symbol. There was no chance of him knowing who Futterman was.
He tells the story, “They came with five policemen and six bodyguards who stood outside the salon. A big crowd gathered outside but nobody was allowed to come in. The film unit brought cameras and other equipment. And even men who acted like barbers! That woman, Angelina Jolie, looked very good in a white top and pink skirt. They stayed for just half-an-hour. None of us were allowed to speak to the actors. I have no idea what the movie is about.”
Next day, Imperial’s customers told the startled manager that the gorgeous woman who was, well, within kissing distance of him, was the famous Hollywood actress. They then asked him about his departed customer, Daniel Pearl. Shekhar said honestly, “Yes, I remember seeing his pictures on television but I don’t remember ever meeting him in the salon.” The other barbers too were unaware of Pearl. “We can’t remember every customer’s face,” said barber Santosh Mehta. He wished that Jolie would visit the salon again. “I want to see her in person,” said Santosh, “not on screen.”
Meanwhile, it is business as usual at the Imperial Hair-Cutting Salon. The celebrity visit has not had the cash till ringing. Nor has it got curious Colaba residents coming to see the place where Angelina Jolie spent half-an-hour. Shekhar does not even have a photograph with her to prove that she was there. “Wait and see the movie, you will see Imperial then, but what is the name of the movie,” he asked.

Guli, I dont’ know what to think of Nicole Kidman. I certainly liked the way she chose to behave herself after the divroce in a sharp contrast from whinny X. However I am also torn to think what kind of person would put up with whom Lainey calls GMD (LOL!) wasting 10 years of her life. She did say something telling about it in passing like there is a trade-off if you let your personal life marketed and that would start walking on its own, or something…. But, great actress yes, beauty yes, MOVIE star yes. I just wish she goes a little easier on botox… and get back to her natural hair color…

Lynn, she has another movie coming out this December with Judy Dench. It’s Oscar written all over her again this year. I have to see both movies when they come out. I am now going thru Netflix to rent all movies of hers that I haven’t seen (which is a lot)

It sounds like she has a chance for two Oscar nominations, then, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress. What a great year this is for the Academy Awards, the best year that I can remember in a long time.

Did you notice that after the LAX fiasco the X have not been out for a while, no news from her? Is it because Mr Huvame are doing the damage control? Lie low for a while until people forget about the LAX incident. And then comes the Saint Jude visit. So obvious…Yes it is!
