I saw “Oversize Me” which totally disgusted me. But you’re right, there is something addicting about BigMac. As long as we don’t eat them too often… I am torn about these things and junk food on my kids. Some friends say, “Absolutely No”, but others say, “If you BAN anything kids will go the other way behind your back”. My kids are still small but already we are battling on sugary cereals vs. Special K, organic etc.

Of course my French husband loathes MacDonalds–once we were in Montpellier and we got so hungry and nothing was open on Christmas late night, I was just ready to dive into M. He dragged me several more blocks until he found one open Italian restaurant LOL

Hi people… Since this is Brangelina blog and Brad and Angelina are having movies coming out, and the big awards season is coming closer every day, and i’m big movies fan and i like to go to awards prediction sites – i will post this Oscar and Globes predictions. Because it’s fun to guess and think to whom would you gave it. I note that Good Shepherd didn’t came out yet, so mane critics didn’t so it. Just as Good German and Blood Diamond. Tom O’Neil’s Globe Frontrunners Piece
I appreciate getting the skinny on the Globes but isn’t this in the “tell us something we didn’t know” category? Babel seems a shoo-in for many reasons, ditto The Queen and The Departed. No news there. On the other hand, that they’re mulling over World Trade Center and Bobby and Flags and not Pursuit of Happyness is interesting. Remember, though, the Globes drama doesn’t always match Oscar 100% but when you combine it with one or two from the comedy/musical category, usually you can get pretty close within a film or two. Not last year (see below):

I have not conducted a scientifically correct survey of members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, but I’ve spoken with several members who express some views consistently enough to make me believe that they may reflect a broader consensus. Heck, there are only 90-some members of the HFPA. My sampling is a rather large percentage.
Beware, as of this writing (Monday), HFPA members had not yet seen “Blood Diamond” (they’re seeing it tomorrow) or “The Good Shepherd,” but here’s what they think about the others in terms of early Globe jockeying.

Among dramas, voters are absolutely crazy about “Babel,” “The Queen” and “The Departed.” The other two slots for best drama picture will probably go to two of these three: “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Bobby” or “World Trade Center.” They’re not responding gushingly to “The Pursuit of Happyness,” but they love Will Smith’s performance and plan to nominate him. There just doesn’t seem to be sufficient support to lift the film itself up into the top race, as many people believe could happen at the Oscars.

One voter said that, between the two sparring 9/11 movies, they prefer “World Trade Center” to “United 93″ “because it’s more about the human relationships involved.”

On the comedy/musical side, “Dreamgirls,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Borat” and “The Devil Wears Prada” look like locks for best-pic bids. The fifth slot could go to “Thank You for Smoking” or another small indie. Some observers say “Stranger Than Fiction,” but not everyone agrees.

I think George is all of that in a pretty package. That’s why I love Brad, the Man (at least what I think I know of him) and I like George the funny man/actor. Sexiest Man Alive is a superficial title no matter who gets it. I don’t take it seriously.

If Brad wins a B.S. Oscar…if B&A put in a couple of PERFECT Hollywood red carpet appearances…if TAOJJ doesn’t tank…if he’s photographed with a VISIBLE Shiloh out and about…if he starts wearing better clothes…and if B&A don’t break up in the next year, they will give it to him again.

You know I don’t disagree entirely, and I am NOT his fan because of the points you made especially regarding women. But it’s one thing to DECEIVE your wife and be that philanderer like Ryan P. to Reese, and another to admit your flaws and let’s say, keeping the damage to yourself and not committing. The kind of women Clooney goes for know about his non-commital nature, and as far as we know not many respectable women have been out and about with him.

However, Clooney does strike me as a man who might age very fast after a certain point, and dare I say, die a very sudden death early…. (though hope this isn’t true) Many single men I know who are loners in his 40s-50s fit into this–when their work or passion are the only reason they get up in the morning, and if you lose those purpose in life, what else is there to keep you on this face of earth? Family and children do give you MORE reasons to keep on going. I realized that when I was doing a very successful job at age 31, then one day I knew I would burn out within 5 years if I keep pushing myself and lived only for myself. Within two months from that day I met my future husband–I was ready to commit.

IMO she knew and she chose to put up with it until one of them had enough and decided to end things. I may not be a fan of Ryan or Reese (never really followed their careers) but I’m not going to throw him under the bus either. That’s too easy.

I thought beef couldn’t be eaten in India? I’m sorry for being ignorant, but I saw one of those travel shows and it was talking about how sacred the cow was and you wont find much but milk products from a cow there.

Be Sane, George is that “self aware” guy. He’ll tell you right off he’s selfish, and he willingly admits to having a wandering eye. The best part, though, is that he’ll tell you he’s got “problems with commitment” and that you’ll have to be patient while he “works through them.”

He thinks acknowledging his issues is enough. Nobody said anything about getting over them.

It’s not the problem he has with women that really bothers me though. He has an overall cockiness to him that’s not attractive. When he won his Oscar (which should have gone to Jake for Brokeback), you could tell he wanted to be accepted. He enjoys the whole Hollywood scene even if he pretends to be far away from that.

There are some actors and actresses that you immediately see and tell, they’re over Hollywood and wouldn’t mind if they are no longer part of the Hollywood scene. Not George. There’s something about him that screams that he craves attention. I don’t think George could ever live without being of the “in crowd” people in Hollywood.

Gosh.. what is with all the mickey d’s snobs? Yes, eating a lot of fast food is not particularly healthy..but doing a lot of anything is usually not a good idea. And they do have healthier choices these days. I like the grilled chicken and love the yogurt parfait.

Gorgeous he ain’t. And I know it’s vanity poll. You know that, I know that, but George doesn’t. This kind of thing feeds his ego, one which is already massive.

OT: I’m quite content with George being SMA. I “get” him and his percieved “arraogance” is part of the appeal & image he’s throwing out to the public.

Now who said Angelina doesn’t like America! LOL! Well here she is eating at Mickey D’s. The food there is probably better than the ones in the US becasue McDonald’s has to comply with food regulations of each country they want to open in. Each country also can have regional specialites on their menu. As a matter of fact even in the US you can find that. In the south you can find grits on McDonald’s menu and here in NYC you can find bagels. Wasn’t it reported that Angelina had traveler’s tummy in regards to the Indian cuisine? I too had to succumb to the golden arches when I was in Rome. They Romans don’t eat until 10:00 pm and I was starving (from all the sightseeing). So I listened to my stomach and swallowed my pride and ate a a Mcdonald’s in Rome. It was on the Via Nazionale. Well it said McDonald’s but when you walked in, it more like a villa/palace. OMG the frescoed walls, the mosaic tilework, fountains, lifelie statuary, the architecture, ay ya ya! It looked like 5,000 people could eat there. No one would eat at home if all the Mc Donald’s were like this one. I didn’t feel so bad. The Italians………..

I noticed some people have asked her for the links of the articles which she posted several times. She hasnt given any. She wants us to be at her mercy to supply us of the whereabouts of this family in India.

She is using this board to tip the media to pound on her “agenda”.

She is the one who always questioned on Shiloh’s “to be seen more”. She is more interested to have Shiloh photographed than Shiloh’s well being.

Oscar winners are not red carpet appearance, daily clothings, golden image. It’s about acting. Looks or appearance dont give you an oscar.

Some want to see him out in the open with Shiloh and are giving him the next year in the hopes that they will not be so protective of her as she turns 1.)

I don’t get why seeing him out with Shilo specifically trumps him being out all the time with his other kids. Shilo is one of three loved children one doesn’t trump the other.

However they choose to live their lives I hope they continue to do so whithout thought to SM Award, which means nothing in the realm of things.

Well said and totally agree absolutely! I love how they live and know Brad loves all his kids the same. Why do people want to not see that? It really sucks.

I still think the best chances for their first red carpet will be the Golden Globes. And I think next year they will loose a bit with Shiloh (they can’t hide her forever) and in general with the “public”. I understand this year they had to be really careful with the media, this year was a big change, I don’t expect the same for next year (from a PR point of view).

I don’t want Angie and Brad to appear on the red carpet together. Not even on Oscar night.

I don’t really care about the SMA award and basically think it is stupid. If the Editors at People Magazine now realize B & A knew what they were doing all along (like ritzygal claims) , what makes them think they have the right to set a criteria for what Brad and Angelina should do now?!!!

I really am over People magazine. Have been for a long time now. And why would Brad go through so much trouble for a SMA award again? He’s gotten that title already twice.

I say if Brad wants to have black hair, let him. If Angie does not want to the red carpet walk with Brad, then that’s her decision. And let them decide what they should or shouldn’t do. Let Brad decide when he wants to be seen playing with Shiloh, not People magazine. After all, if Ritz is right, then these editors doubted them for a long time and are now realizing that Brad and Angelina are good for each other. And now they think, they have a right to demand certain thing from them or set a criteria for what they should do so Brad can get a vain SMA award? Puh - lease.

Oscar’s are not ALL about acting, a big part is how much money the productions companies and studios put in a well organized campaign. Best example are the Weinstein brothers.

Some also think that he is showing his age and that if you look at him up close and compare him to Clooney, he is not aging well. THIS IS NOT MY OPINION but was talked about over the selection process.

Actually, I think props have to be given to Ritzy. She’s dead on with the assessment. It’s what the people at the MAGAZINE want not her! Come on folks….can’t we acknowledge the truth when we read it? I do NOT agree with the assessment that Brad looks older than George though. He looks damn fine to me!! But, Clooney isn’t my type - he reminds me of my dad — not the age, just the way he carries himself with so much assurance — my dad is in his 70s!

Ok, this is my last post on this.

People Mag knows he dosen’t care about this tag. They know it. They are not demanding anything. But should any of the things I listed above actually happen, in the normal course of being Brad Pitt (and I do believe at least three need to happen–Oscar, red carpet, TAOJJ not tanking), they will give it to him. There is a real desire to bestow this on him one more time–he just needs to have a good year.

And as much as all three kids are equal parts in the family, she does hold more interest for ALL of these magazines. She is the 10 million dollar baby who is rarely seen.

AND she is theirs–a “direct descendant” of the most beautiful people in the world (as someone on this board previously and funnily put it).

It’s not fair to M&Z, but it’s the reality at these mags, People included.

After reading that Ritzygal wrote reguarding Brad & SMA, I have to agree with her on some points and disagree on others.

I do believe that Brad & Angelina will make a Red Carpet appearance during award season, specifically at the Academy Awards. They are preparing for that appearance right now by walking with their children to the park and the recent walk in India. They are a family and the more they put that fact out there with their older children the more folks will get used to them. I think that Shiloh will be introduced gradually either before nominations are announced or after award season. B&A know folks want to see Shiloh and….and unfortunately, could care less about Maddox & Zahara now that there is a “biological” child in the mix. Maddox & Zahara are still young and can you imagine the way the paps will make them feel when they only want Shiloh’s picture and not theirs??? I can see some mags phtoshopping the two “adopted” kids out of any family portraits.

While some think that the SMA title is stupid, but by going by RitzyGal’s comments, Brad would have won it or will win it in the next year had he done some things. I do think Brad & Angie will loosen up a bit, but can you blame them for the chill when last year this time they were not the media darlings due to a number of factors??

Ritzgal I get that you are just passing on info true or not and that I have no Problem with at all. But some of it I don’t buy as GC movies last year were critical success but not neccessarly box office success. They were not flops financially but they were also not box office hits. Critical acclaim and they won awards and both were very good movies so they deserved IMO the acclaim they got. I like GC and I have no problem with him being chosen as SMA.

But I disagree about Shilo, though she has not been seen alot she has been seen enough (just last week) that I can’t see why a picture of them together would make a difference in him getting an award, that just doesn’t factor to me. He talks about all his kids equally. I think if anything it is the joy he seems to get from being a father that people or in awe of as well as his charity work. Brad has turned himself on his ear, he is no longer just a *ex symbol he is an actor, producer, father, activist and humanitarian and he does all with such passion and that is what makes him *exy and if anything that is what might get him the SMA award next year. He is a renanciance man.

Even if the movie Jess is a flop that is not going to override the critical success of not only Babel but The Departed is pulling in huge numbers. An actor can ride off of one good movie for a long time.

Hey lookwhaticando, In & Out Burger is one of my favorite burger joint, I live about less than 5 minutes away from one here in San Diego, I love their burgers and french fries, they make their burgers fresh, you know some places you go and the burgers are already made and sitting there, that is not the way it is at In & Out Burger, as soon as you placed your order they start making your burger, such yummy burgers :)

I agree with you. None of us in here ever said we were wondering why he didn’t get the title. That’s why I really didn’t appreciate being called an idiot, when she made her “assessment” of what would make him titleworthy.

We already discussed this and made these points. Her being right on or not to me is irrelevant because no one was wondering this in the first place.

Also, how does Jesse James have anything to do with him winning the title this year when the movie hasn’t even come out yet but the cover already given? How is that a correct assessment? I kind of think it’s baiting people into the belief that the movie is bad even before it comes out.

What in heck does Shiloh have to do with him getting a joke of a title that he doesn’t want to begin with??

Also, sure Shiloh will be in demand, but Zahara and Mad are also in demand. A photog was busted trying to break into Mad’s school just a few months ago. These kids will be snapped because of who their parents are PERIOD. The bio thing, and what Shiloh is going to look like will fascinate many for a while - but like everything, this stampede to see an infant who really hasn’t been out in public much will recede when she is out and about more.

I personally think the quickest way to ease demand and frenzy over Shiloh is to have several more bio babies so that she isn’t perceived *by some* as so special. I have no doubt the Jolie-Pitts will have more kids, not only because they want to I feel, but because of that reason alone. It’s kind of unfair for Shiloh to carry the mantle of winning that particular genetic lottery alone. Another girl and a boy would be terrific. Plus, it will make us bamzsters very happy besides.

Didn’t branglena pose for a German magazine with all three kids - why not pose for USA magazines so that the fans who pay for movie tickets can see the whole family - I agree that Shiloh is too young right now to be paraded about in public - but if you are going to pose overseas for magazines then the fans in the rest of the world should have equal access.

One more time. I don’t care who gets this award. I think it’s a funny joke - but am glad George got it over McDreamy as I think Patrick Dempsey is just McWeirdy (and so does his 67 year old ex-wife, who claimed he beat her once).

It would have been nice if they could have tried to ‘make’ someone’s career who’s just catching a break, like ‘McSteamy’ (Eric Dane) - I think the way he’s totally blown Dempsey out of the water, and made women everywhere literally salivate in recored time, should be rewarded. He’s a good actor too. I see him blowing up big time in the future.

Dempsey however, has had his 10 minutes. Poor thing, I think he thought he was gonna be the next Clooney, sliding effortlessly from TV into the ‘Rom-Com’ fare, then make his way towards more serious films — but apparently there are quite a few things floating around about Patrick that make some people go, ‘ick.’ So he may have been stopped in his tracks. Eric Dane didn’t help.

The culture-vulture-brigade is at it again. A little known outfit Kranti Shiv Sena (KSS) burnt posters of actress Rani Mukherjee for disrupting the lives of devotees in Banaras. Incidentally Rani is currently shooting for Pradeep Sarkar’s yet untitled film being produced by Yahsraj Films in Banaras and her security guards had an altercation with a few photo journalists and teeming people on the sets of the film on Monday. The film also stars Konkana Sensharma.

Rani apologized to the press later but she also taught the media personnel that even the stars deserve some kind of breathing space. She also got irritated when constant questions were being asked about her marriage plans. It seems these small time culture outfits find an easy bait in successful actors for publicizing their own wares. Aamir Khan faced the wrath of a little known culture wing of a political party when his film ‘Fanaa’ was about to be released. And now, it’s the turn of Rani Mukherjee whose posters are being burnt and effigies paraded on a death bed.

Rani had earlier shot for ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ in Banaras. IndiaGlitz will keep you updated about the future developments in this story.

I don’t really know why I like Gwyneth. I base my opinions of celebrities on interviews I’ve seen, etc., and I kinda liked her sincerity. Despite the icy, Princess-Grace-meets-Earth-Mother exterior, I like her uncompromising (but occasionally ridiculous) views. There was a terrible backlash against Gwyneth when she won the Best Actress Oscar and I felt for her. You know how haters can be.

I’ve been a fan of AJ since the Barbara Walters interview, loooong before Brad. AJ is a goddess. She is da bomb. Separately, I thought each was interesting, but together they are FASCINATING and make perfect, perfect sense.

The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.

Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.

“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.

“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”

Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.
