I saw “Oversize Me” which totally disgusted me. But you’re right, there is something addicting about BigMac. As long as we don’t eat them too often… I am torn about these things and junk food on my kids. Some friends say, “Absolutely No”, but others say, “If you BAN anything kids will go the other way behind your back”. My kids are still small but already we are battling on sugary cereals vs. Special K, organic etc.

Of course my French husband loathes MacDonalds–once we were in Montpellier and we got so hungry and nothing was open on Christmas late night, I was just ready to dive into M. He dragged me several more blocks until he found one open Italian restaurant LOL

Hi people… Since this is Brangelina blog and Brad and Angelina are having movies coming out, and the big awards season is coming closer every day, and i’m big movies fan and i like to go to awards prediction sites – i will post this Oscar and Globes predictions. Because it’s fun to guess and think to whom would you gave it. I note that Good Shepherd didn’t came out yet, so mane critics didn’t so it. Just as Good German and Blood Diamond. Tom O’Neil’s Globe Frontrunners Piece
I appreciate getting the skinny on the Globes but isn’t this in the “tell us something we didn’t know” category? Babel seems a shoo-in for many reasons, ditto The Queen and The Departed. No news there. On the other hand, that they’re mulling over World Trade Center and Bobby and Flags and not Pursuit of Happyness is interesting. Remember, though, the Globes drama doesn’t always match Oscar 100% but when you combine it with one or two from the comedy/musical category, usually you can get pretty close within a film or two. Not last year (see below):

I have not conducted a scientifically correct survey of members of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, but I’ve spoken with several members who express some views consistently enough to make me believe that they may reflect a broader consensus. Heck, there are only 90-some members of the HFPA. My sampling is a rather large percentage.
Beware, as of this writing (Monday), HFPA members had not yet seen “Blood Diamond” (they’re seeing it tomorrow) or “The Good Shepherd,” but here’s what they think about the others in terms of early Globe jockeying.

Among dramas, voters are absolutely crazy about “Babel,” “The Queen” and “The Departed.” The other two slots for best drama picture will probably go to two of these three: “Flags of Our Fathers,” “Bobby” or “World Trade Center.” They’re not responding gushingly to “The Pursuit of Happyness,” but they love Will Smith’s performance and plan to nominate him. There just doesn’t seem to be sufficient support to lift the film itself up into the top race, as many people believe could happen at the Oscars.

One voter said that, between the two sparring 9/11 movies, they prefer “World Trade Center” to “United 93″ “because it’s more about the human relationships involved.”

On the comedy/musical side, “Dreamgirls,” “Little Miss Sunshine,” “Borat” and “The Devil Wears Prada” look like locks for best-pic bids. The fifth slot could go to “Thank You for Smoking” or another small indie. Some observers say “Stranger Than Fiction,” but not everyone agrees.

You know I don’t disagree entirely, and I am NOT his fan because of the points you made especially regarding women. But it’s one thing to DECEIVE your wife and be that philanderer like Ryan P. to Reese, and another to admit your flaws and let’s say, keeping the damage to yourself and not committing. The kind of women Clooney goes for know about his non-commital nature, and as far as we know not many respectable women have been out and about with him.

However, Clooney does strike me as a man who might age very fast after a certain point, and dare I say, die a very sudden death early…. (though hope this isn’t true) Many single men I know who are loners in his 40s-50s fit into this–when their work or passion are the only reason they get up in the morning, and if you lose those purpose in life, what else is there to keep you on this face of earth? Family and children do give you MORE reasons to keep on going. I realized that when I was doing a very successful job at age 31, then one day I knew I would burn out within 5 years if I keep pushing myself and lived only for myself. Within two months from that day I met my future husband–I was ready to commit.

IMO she knew and she chose to put up with it until one of them had enough and decided to end things. I may not be a fan of Ryan or Reese (never really followed their careers) but I’m not going to throw him under the bus either. That’s too easy.

Be Sane, George is that “self aware” guy. He’ll tell you right off he’s selfish, and he willingly admits to having a wandering eye. The best part, though, is that he’ll tell you he’s got “problems with commitment” and that you’ll have to be patient while he “works through them.”

He thinks acknowledging his issues is enough. Nobody said anything about getting over them.

It’s not the problem he has with women that really bothers me though. He has an overall cockiness to him that’s not attractive. When he won his Oscar (which should have gone to Jake for Brokeback), you could tell he wanted to be accepted. He enjoys the whole Hollywood scene even if he pretends to be far away from that.

There are some actors and actresses that you immediately see and tell, they’re over Hollywood and wouldn’t mind if they are no longer part of the Hollywood scene. Not George. There’s something about him that screams that he craves attention. I don’t think George could ever live without being of the “in crowd” people in Hollywood.

Gosh.. what is with all the mickey d’s snobs? Yes, eating a lot of fast food is not particularly healthy..but doing a lot of anything is usually not a good idea. And they do have healthier choices these days. I like the grilled chicken and love the yogurt parfait.

Gorgeous he ain’t. And I know it’s vanity poll. You know that, I know that, but George doesn’t. This kind of thing feeds his ego, one which is already massive.

Allright, I got my venom out for George, so I’ll stop now, but I’m surprised how many people don’t see through his phoniness.

OT: I’m quite content with George being SMA. I “get” him and his percieved “arraogance” is part of the appeal & image he’s throwing out to the public.

Now who said Angelina doesn’t like America! LOL! Well here she is eating at Mickey D’s. The food there is probably better than the ones in the US becasue McDonald’s has to comply with food regulations of each country they want to open in. Each country also can have regional specialites on their menu. As a matter of fact even in the US you can find that. In the south you can find grits on McDonald’s menu and here in NYC you can find bagels. Wasn’t it reported that Angelina had traveler’s tummy in regards to the Indian cuisine? I too had to succumb to the golden arches when I was in Rome. They Romans don’t eat until 10:00 pm and I was starving (from all the sightseeing). So I listened to my stomach and swallowed my pride and ate a a Mcdonald’s in Rome. It was on the Via Nazionale. Well it said McDonald’s but when you walked in, it more like a villa/palace. OMG the frescoed walls, the mosaic tilework, fountains, lifelie statuary, the architecture, ay ya ya! It looked like 5,000 people could eat there. No one would eat at home if all the Mc Donald’s were like this one. I didn’t feel so bad. The Italians………..

I noticed some people have asked her for the links of the articles which she posted several times. She hasnt given any. She wants us to be at her mercy to supply us of the whereabouts of this family in India.

She is using this board to tip the media to pound on her “agenda”.

She is the one who always questioned on Shiloh’s “to be seen more”. She is more interested to have Shiloh photographed than Shiloh’s well being.

Oscar winners are not red carpet appearance, daily clothings, golden image. It’s about acting. Looks or appearance dont give you an oscar.

Some want to see him out in the open with Shiloh and are giving him the next year in the hopes that they will not be so protective of her as she turns 1.)

I don’t get why seeing him out with Shilo specifically trumps him being out all the time with his other kids. Shilo is one of three loved children one doesn’t trump the other.

However they choose to live their lives I hope they continue to do so whithout thought to SM Award, which means nothing in the realm of things.

Well said and totally agree absolutely! I love how they live and know Brad loves all his kids the same. Why do people want to not see that? It really sucks.

I still think the best chances for their first red carpet will be the Golden Globes. And I think next year they will loose a bit with Shiloh (they can’t hide her forever) and in general with the “public”. I understand this year they had to be really careful with the media, this year was a big change, I don’t expect the same for next year (from a PR point of view).

I don’t want Angie and Brad to appear on the red carpet together. Not even on Oscar night.

I don’t really care about the SMA award and basically think it is stupid. If the Editors at People Magazine now realize B & A knew what they were doing all along (like ritzygal claims) , what makes them think they have the right to set a criteria for what Brad and Angelina should do now?!!!

I really am over People magazine. Have been for a long time now. And why would Brad go through so much trouble for a SMA award again? He’s gotten that title already twice.

I say if Brad wants to have black hair, let him. If Angie does not want to the red carpet walk with Brad, then that’s her decision. And let them decide what they should or shouldn’t do. Let Brad decide when he wants to be seen playing with Shiloh, not People magazine. After all, if Ritz is right, then these editors doubted them for a long time and are now realizing that Brad and Angelina are good for each other. And now they think, they have a right to demand certain thing from them or set a criteria for what they should do so Brad can get a vain SMA award? Puh - lease.

Oscar’s are not ALL about acting, a big part is how much money the productions companies and studios put in a well organized campaign. Best example are the Weinstein brothers.

Some also think that he is showing his age and that if you look at him up close and compare him to Clooney, he is not aging well. THIS IS NOT MY OPINION but was talked about over the selection process.

I think both Brad and George are aging very well. Brad is two years younger than George.
