Angelina Jolie spoke to the media in Mumbai yesterday during a press conference to talk about her shooting experience in India for A Mighty Heart. She clarified that she and Brad Pitt have no plans to adopt an Indian baby. Read the full article after the jump but here what Angelina said on the importance of this film: “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl and the reason we are making this film is because it’s very important to have a dialogue between the two cultures. I have the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

Angelina Scorches Indian Baby Rumors
It was an unusual start to an eagerly awaited press conference. Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie, who evidently kept her role as ambassador in mind at her first encounter with the Indian press on Wednesday evening, began with a confession.
“We have been avoiding the press since we landed in India, but the only reason was that we had a lot of work to do,”she said.
Jolie arrived at the conference in a white linen ensemble. Flanked by co-stars of the film, A Mighty Heart, her humble confession was followed with a terse rider: please ask questions pertaining to the film only.
The only personal query she allowed was one that enabled her to clear the air about rumours of her adopting again. No, Brangelina won’t be adding an Indian baby to their brood after all.
The evening began with the usual banter between her management team and the press. The ’screening’ of journalists took an inordinately long time, with some being asked to stay out of the conference.
For those who did eventually make it to the Princess room at the Taj, there was disappointment in store: producer Brad Pitt had decided to stay away. Was it to mind the babies? No one knows.
The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”
When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.
Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.
“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.
“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”
Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.
“She has a very strong personality and it comes across,”said the actor who referred to Jolie as “Angie”during the conference.
And finally, Jolie’s take on Mumbai’s infamous suburban trains. When asked how her much-publicised ride on a local was, she replied straight-faced, “It was fun.”

Karishna, Just Saying.. and all the rest of you that have come your to tell us about your outrage against Angelina without knowing the full facts, I hope you will come back now and appologize for your stupidity and for spreading lies against them through the internet.
Thank you to whoever posted the Splash Video link. Non of Angelina’s people were even near the chaos, instead I saw Indian people in police uniform trying to keep control, but the story will not be the same if it does not have Angelina’s name attached to it. Like most of their fans have learned to wait for the truth to come out, it never looks anything like the first headline.
Stardust, that was a great post in response to Linda, that is why they always look stupid because a BAMZS fan can always defend their point of view or their post, but the cowards just post and run.

Just Saying, I do not see Mickey ANYWHERE near where the chaos is taking place in the splash video. The only time he is seen is when Angie is coming outside the building and he is there behind her. Blame Mickey for other incidents if you like but leave him out of this one until you know for certain that he did something to somebody.

Just saying, have you seen Mickey himself attacking the parents and the children? Have you seen the Splash video? People were grinning there why some of them pushing, and let me tell you, they all seemed Indians to me. I haven’t seen Angie’s guards there. So again: please stop with the premature judging amd come back after waching the video.
And in India, people like to throw themselves under a car, if a foreigner is sitting in it, so to demand money for the “accident”. People are really poor there, that’s why.
And celebs do have a right to their privacy. This part of your post I disagree the most.
Is there a Suri thread at JJ? Because I would like to comment, that this unphotoshopped, unpolished Suri is nothing to be crazy about. A baby is never ugly, but she is absolutely nothing special. And her hair is not the same as in the VF. Which means that her pic was shamelessly photoshopped.
I really can’t decide whether I would like Brad and Angie to attend the GMD’s wedding. I incline to say not that wedding. It’s just media circus for nothing. Or for reviving Tom’s career.
Is it at all possible that over there where KARISHMA LIVES and is watching the whole thing on tv - she may be getting the truth and we over here are getting the diluted version??. And passing through - do you really not believe she has the right to say what she’s saying? What do you find wrong with what she has said? She sounds to me like a Brangelina fan (who also loves her country and heritage) that is very disappointed - not some raving loonie. I think that some of you guys are so quick to call bullshit on things that have happened in the past that you just brush it all under the carpet or just scream “hater” or “faniston”. ROTFL. Now there’s something I hadn’t considered…that Okra didn’t get an invite because TC thinks Brad and Angie will come if she’s not there. I can see Cruise’s brain working in that way, but B/A don’t give a rip about Okra’s friendship with X. If they wanted to go, they’d go regardless of whether or not she’s there. And they wouldn’t snub her in public…like Cruise just did!
About Suri’s pictures _ Wow that really show you just how much airbrushing they did to those Vanity Fair pics. She looked cuter in the vanity fair photoshoot. And tomkat are waltzing through Rome acting as though they’re some kind of royalty.

If her bodyguards did do ANY OF WHAT WEVE HEARD she ABSOLUTELY IS RESPONSIBLE - NO QUESTION! And she should WANT to apologize!! This idiot Mickey is completely out of control and yes she is the one who allows it and she should suffer the consequences. Her life is not more important than ANY of those people or children. Also I think its an abomination to blame everything on the paparazzi - when people get hurt and/or insulted because someone doesnt want to be photographed its an insult to my intelligence to buy into it. Does anyone even consider what would happen if someone would have gotten in the way of Princess Dianas car that fatefull night - does anyone care?? All because of a picture?? And everyone wants to blame the paparazzi - we are all responsible for our actions - nobody MAKES US do anything. I dont believe celebrities should always have the “GET OUT OF JAIL FREE CARD” to break the law or harm someone in any way. just because someone wants to take a picture. If you dont run - nobody has to chase you and guess what… nobody gets hurt. They are public property and are paid handsomely and quite frankly I believe when they started out - they were begging the paps to take their pictures. Now they are ABOVE IT!

Look at the first word of your post. IF. If, if, if. We don’t know if her body guards were even truly involved, and while I can’t view the video, there are people here who are saying it looks more incriminating for the locals than for anyone else.
And you say they should just live with all the papparazzi? They should just constantly allow them to take as many pictures of them as they wish? I don’t think so. You mentioned Princess Diana. Well Diana found out the hard way that stopping and letting them photograph you, giving them a few pictures was never enough. When her boys were younger, she would stop and allow a few photos, then politely ask them to leave…..and they never would. They would follow her everywhere, not even allowing her space to move in some cases. I’m sorry, but celeb or not, every person deserves to at least be able to walk down the street or through a resturant without a trail of people behind you wanting pictures.
Angie got crowded up against a wall in a NYC hotel when she was early in her pregnancy with Shiloh. She was in a hotel lobby and was going to allow a few photgraphs, and it quickly got out of control. The paps went into some kind of feeding frenzy, getting closer and closer to her, despite being asked to step back and give her some space. Poeple were pushing from the back, and it was kinda scary to watch it. Angie wound up ducking into the elevator quickly because she was getting pushed into the wall, and nobody got any pictures. It’s been proven over and over that you can’t give an inch with these guys, they always take a mile and want even more.
Maybe Brad is being a bit over-protective of his new family, I’ll give you that, but to suggest that they shouldn’t try to avoid pappy intrusion is kinda silly and unrealistic. If they allow them to get close and have more access to them, the next thing you know, they’ll be trying to get into their home and hiding in the shower. We don’t live their lives and we don’t know what that kind of scrutiny is like. Hell, if I thought I couldn’t scratch my butt or pick my nose without a picture of it winding up on the cover of a tabloid, I might want someone like Mickey around me, too.

The story is not credible, at best it is overly exaggerated as I suspected it will be, at worst, it is hysteria from the likes of you that want to crucify Angelina for the crime you think she has commited against humanity.

From what i can see in the video there wasn’t an american in sight yet angelina is getting blamed. Secondly the only bodyguard that angelina has on her payroll is Mickey. the others were hired by the production company in india so maybe you should write them a rant and tell them they should apologize for their workers instead automatically assuming that they were hired by angelina herself.

ITA. I didn’t say that Brad the man is the sole reason of Angelina’s happiness LOL. She has gone through self-discovery and self-realization long before Brad came into the picture–if anybody more influential to her life, it was probably Maddox. She said Maddox changed her, he “made me a woman”, making her GROW UP to be a responsible and giving adult. I would say that Brad saw this woman, and I truly think they “matched”, their life goals, interests, stature in business, all of it. They fit like a puzzle. Brad did change her mind in having a biological child. She saw that Brad wanted one, and as charitable as she is (saying one biological child means one less she could adopt), she did see that charity does starts at home :)
