OlderAngelina Jolie’s Signature Smile
Angelina Jolie spoke to the media in Mumbai yesterday during a press conference to talk about her shooting experience in India for A Mighty Heart. She clarified that she and Brad Pitt have no plans to adopt an Indian baby. Read the full article after the jump but here what Angelina said on the importance of this film: “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl and the reason we are making this film is because it’s very important to have a dialogue between the two cultures. I have the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

Angelina Scorches Indian Baby Rumors
It was an unusual start to an eagerly awaited press conference. Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie, who evidently kept her role as ambassador in mind at her first encounter with the Indian press on Wednesday evening, began with a confession.
“We have been avoiding the press since we landed in India, but the only reason was that we had a lot of work to do,”she said.
Jolie arrived at the conference in a white linen ensemble. Flanked by co-stars of the film, A Mighty Heart, her humble confession was followed with a terse rider: please ask questions pertaining to the film only.
The only personal query she allowed was one that enabled her to clear the air about rumours of her adopting again. No, Brangelina won’t be adding an Indian baby to their brood after all.
The evening began with the usual banter between her management team and the press. The ’screening’ of journalists took an inordinately long time, with some being asked to stay out of the conference.
For those who did eventually make it to the Princess room at the Taj, there was disappointment in store: producer Brad Pitt had decided to stay away. Was it to mind the babies? No one knows.
The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”
When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.
Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.
“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.
“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”
Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.
“She has a very strong personality and it comes across,”said the actor who referred to Jolie as “Angie”during the conference.
And finally, Jolie’s take on Mumbai’s infamous suburban trains. When asked how her much-publicised ride on a local was, she replied straight-faced, “It was fun.”

Look, I know that its not a popular opnion, BUT, brad and angelina NEED to buy a house, farm, range, whatever, in some place way from US (Autralia or Canada or holand) and just stay there for 6 months.
They are overexposed, its just insane, there are some places with less paparazzi,
Life and Style—has a pic of Brad (remember we saw the video at splash.com, that Brad was carrying Shiloh?), the mag has a clearer pic of Brad. In his pocket, has a TEDDY BEAR !!!!

It is a really good movie. I am not a spoiler. But I want to say what struck my mind is that when Cate was in pain, the old woman gave her something to “puff”. After Cate took one puff , she wanted more. It must be morphin which can deaden the pain. Reminds me the danger of drug addiction.
I also feel bad for the Mexican nanny. She is a good woman. She really takes good care of the children. It’s just so unfortunate that she had to be deported. All she did was going to her son’s wedding. But sometimes, things happen which is beyond her control.

I know that they went to Namibia and the media followed them, but she was pregnant at the time, they wanted to see the baby, now after two months they would let them in peace.

But the media is following them in India too. They’ve seen Shiloh, they’ve seen all the kids, yet they stalk them in India too. Where could they possibly go to get some peace? The papzs follow them everywhere.

TOMKAT is planning a gazillion dollar wedding and people/paps are still fixated on BP and AJ. Go figure. As usual, anything related to AJ and this Movie has been blown out of context and sensationalized by the media. That splash video tells a major part of the story and AJ and her bodyguard were no where near the chaos. BP and AJ are living their lives with their children. It is the media, fans and critics that are invading their lives. They can retreat to an Island and the paps will still stalk them. I admire them for trying to have some type of normal life in the midst of the madness surrounding them. Maddox and Zahara seem to take it all in stride, knowing that their Parents are there to protect them and love them.
Two years later and haters and critics are still harping on the same old song. JA fans cannot let go of the Golden couple and it drives them mad to see how happy BP and AJ are. They thought that their careers would be over by now but they are more popular and sucessful than ever. Peace.
also on people, has a full page photo of Brad. nice pic. also there is a quote of him about fatherhood. I believe the quote is when he was interviewing with Ann Curry in New Orleans.
mag also talk about B Walters “looking back” (?) going to be on TV. B Walters said these past few years, Brad has been very serious. But she has a segment on O11 back in 2001, talking about the light side of Brad. I guess we will have to watch her on TV.

The Splash footage is raw unedited video footage. Meaning, there is no additional commentary added, nor anything added to or edited out.
Go look at the footage since you’re so vehement about it. You want people to see your side without you doing any research.
True I disbelieved Kashima (I spelled that wrong) but I also took the time to read the article found about it and the video footage taken of the event. My conclusion stands.
Her people weren’t involved and unfortunately it reflects poorly on India. Indian officials were trying to restrain the crowd as they were intent on mobbing Jolie while she was filming. Mickey was not involved at all.
Just Sayin, I think what you are doing and saying is completely unfair. You might not be an Aniston fan, but you obviously aren’t objective in any case.

look at the video. the crowd and even the policemen are all Indians. Micky is not there at all. Jolie was inside when the policeman was pushing the crowd away. When Jolie came out, there was NO disorder. I studied the video 3 times.
For people who keep blaming India for any bad press against Brangelina, you have to understand… INDIA IS A POOR COUNTRY. It has SOME economic upsides, but it’s still a poor country. India cannot afford to even control their own government, taxes and police. All the people in India, they are not living like you and I, even if it seems that way for some people. You keep saying that Indians should not be badgering Brangelina with photos or that the press is out of control with their negative articles on them. They don’t know any better. YES, there are bad sides to India. Of course there is. In fact, it’s like going into a ghetto, to be quite honest with you. But there are alot of other great things about India. And when you experience the other sides of India, you’re never going to forget it. You won’t regret it. You just have to accept certain things about India, and instead try to enjoy other aspects of it. Even though there are alot of technological and medical beakthroughs there, India is still primitive. Some of the people are primitive. And when you go into a primitive area like that, you can’t expect to have things go the way it would in other countries.

Thanks for the post about Ben Affleck. What he said reminds me of the same feeling that Brad must have had during the last 3 years of his marriage. But I’m happy for him now. Every time I see Brad carrying the children, it reminds me (I just cant help it) that Jennifer Aniston must have starved him the joy of fatherhood.

I will never forget what it was like to be at TIFF when Indian stars SRK (that’s what his nickname is - his initials) and another older distinguished actor from India who is a huge star (also named Khan) was there - it was mayhem and madness, the crowd would not listen, they’d pretend to nonchalant prior to anyone showing up at the venue, but then when a whiper that they were coming got out, they’d immediately start screaming and pushing and shoving and going nutso.
Seriously, not too much unnerves me but that kind of unbridled fandom was spooky.
I told you guys before, though Brad had bigger crowds that were going crazy - it was a happy chilled out crazy….the Indian film’s premiere was mayhem.
So I don’t even need to see the vid to know exactly what was going on.
