Read the full article after the jump but here what Angelina said on the importance of this film: “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl and the reason we are making this film is because it’s very important to have a dialogue between the two cultures. I have the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

Angelina Scorches Indian Baby Rumors

It was an unusual start to an eagerly awaited press conference. Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie, who evidently kept her role as ambassador in mind at her first encounter with the Indian press on Wednesday evening, began with a confession.

“We have been avoiding the press since we landed in India, but the only reason was that we had a lot of work to do,”she said.

Jolie arrived at the conference in a white linen ensemble. Flanked by co-stars of the film, A Mighty Heart, her humble confession was followed with a terse rider: please ask questions pertaining to the film only.

The only personal query she allowed was one that enabled her to clear the air about rumours of her adopting again. No, Brangelina won’t be adding an Indian baby to their brood after all.

The evening began with the usual banter between her management team and the press. The ’screening’ of journalists took an inordinately long time, with some being asked to stay out of the conference.

For those who did eventually make it to the Princess room at the Taj, there was disappointment in store: producer Brad Pitt had decided to stay away. Was it to mind the babies? No one knows.

The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.

Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.

“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.

“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”

Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.

“She has a very strong personality and it comes across,”said the actor who referred to Jolie as “Angie”during the conference.

And finally, Jolie’s take on Mumbai’s infamous suburban trains. When asked how her much-publicised ride on a local was, she replied straight-faced, “It was fun.”

If Cindy G decides to deny or confirms all the rumors about AJ and BP….the woman won’t get any sleep. Let me quote one of my new friend Nig girl….SILENCE IS THE BEST ANSWER FOR FOOLS. Let the press carry on with their nonsense, AJ and BP know know their truth.

Re: Suri
Cut that baby some slack. There are flashbulbs going off in her face; she is bound to react and not necessarily in a flattering way. I took pics of my baby niece and the flash made her eyes bug and cross, and trust me, my niece is an absolute doll. It would’ve served Suri well to have a blanket shielding her from the lights.

Re: The Angelina Melee
It’s unfortunate that the parents got upset, but the administrators were the ones who authorized access to the movie crew. The administrators should have an idea whether allowing this would bend these parents out of shape.

Re: Brad and the teddy bear
All I can say is ‘Awww…’ Then again, it’s typical of BP to keep baby necessities within reach. Remember last year when he had Zahara in his arms and her baby bottle in his back pocket?

Brangelina’s bullies at it again

The Arizona Republic

Celebrity invasion of India claims new casualties: Brangelina’s militia reportedly roughs up non-adoptable, parent-having children. (Hahahahahahaha)

Angelina Jolie’s bodyguards allegedly knocked around parents and students Thursday at a Mumbai elementary school where the actress was filming A Mighty Heart, the Associated Press reports.

The fracas began when the gates of the Anjuman-e-Islam school, which had been locked during filming, were opened to let the parents fetch their children. advertisement

“This Jolie’s bodyguard called one parent, ‘You bloody Indian,’ ” says Mohammed Yusuf Patni, general secretary of the school’s Parent Teacher Association. “Children were pushed around.” Patni, who has two children studying at the Muslim school, adds “mothers were also shoved aside by the guards.”

Dallington TV, a British production company that organized the shoot, blamed the scuffle on photographers and TV cameramen rushing to get pictures of Jolie.

The scuffle wasn’t the first that security guards have had since Jolie arrived in India last month with Brad Pitt and their three children. In one incident, an Associated Press freelance photographer alleged that security guards protecting Jolie’s movie set in Pune had hit him and threatened him with a gun. A college student also claimed he was struck by a vehicle in Jolie’s motorcade, which fled the scene.

Angelina is thin but not as much as she was around the time when she did Gia..cut her hair really shot and once did a photoshot in which she was wearing some earth-tone dress or the background was “granite”…can’t remember…

she was really really thin.

Right now, I think filming was hectic and since this is her first time as a feeding mom and working mom..I think we should cut her some slack.

What I don’t get is why is it A MUST for Angelina to be answering personal questions at press conference. i.e. her body, pregnancy, relationship with Brad.

I mean for people who never bothered to research her and see the changes/growth that she went through…how dare they ask such questions..

I don’t know how she does it without saying something like:

WTF are you people? you think I never or could never grown up. Are you all still kids but in adult bodies? if you can grow up why not me.

What I am curious about, Passing Through, is that anytime a fiasco is printed in the press, the celeb’s publicist will answer to that. So, how come there was never a response by Cindy G. (Brad’s PR person) or anyone else amongst their crew about the accusations that the people were mishandled or verbally abused or any other episode that has happened with them and has been printed in the press. Before Cindy was answering press questions, right and left, but lately not so.

++++++++++++

Cindy only confirms or denies when she’s told to. That’s the difference. We didn’t hear from her too much when they were in Namibia either. If there’s something that Brad feels is worth the effort of clearing up, then he’ll have cindy do that. Otherwise I don’t think Brad really cares too much what kind of spin the Indian press is putting on things. Stardust has told us that the Indian press have a tendency to over-dramatize or embellish a story and then have to retract it later themselves. I guess Brad knows that, because of the time difference, by the time the story hits the states it’s been so blown out of proportion that a retraction is going to follow quickly anyway. So why waste cindy’s time having her do something that the Indian media is going to have to do anyway? I also think that having her come forward with a statement makes it seem like there was something to the story to begin with. If there’s one thing Brad’s gotten really good at it’s letting a situation blow over and THEN speak his piece if he really feels it’s necessary.

ritzygal. you think this is first time we’ve read that article? Uh no, its been posted on here in one form or another about ten times. Thanks though for spreading your sunshine.

Lynn…
I wish I would have seen it by myself the first time. Oh well tomorrow its just me and Babel
cheers.

The Arizona article is a perfect example of putting “sensationalism” above “real news”.

A.) The motocycle accident - it turned out that that was blown out of proportion. Not my words but the Indian Police said that

B.) The AP story is “alleged”. Btw, why was that reporter expecting when going toward her car. That Angelina will open the window and saw “Hi, how can I help you”.

Why does the media NEVER TAKES RESPONSIBLITY of their part in this MEDIA FRENZY.

it is always Brad and Angelina…never the media.

It is like that kid who doens’t want to share a cake with his friend but want the friend to stay and play.

I am sure the reason children and women and whoever else were “pushed” out of the way by Angelina’s bodygaurds was because THEY WOULDN’T MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! They just stand there. In the West, people like their personal space. In India, there is no such thing. in India, people stare at you and stand in your way and stay close to you, as if there is nothing wrong with it. Not ALL people in India probably do that. But in a way you can look at it as a non-prejudice thing whereas Westerners are a little more prejudice. In the West, people will keep their distance from you and by cultural mannerisms will avoid staring at you, mostly the more polite ones. The ones who lack any smarts at all won’t do that (and I mean in the West). And, trust me, I know, because when I go to Beverly Hills, I’m ok and can go about my business. But when I go to Hollywood, people are all up in my face.

Angelina is great. She is beautiful and has the most beutiful smail ever. :)

I know Angelina doens’t give a **** of what people think of her, but when things like this happen I wish she had a kick ass publicist.

I think the article noted that she cut the reporter off when s/he started to ask questions about her past. I’m just amazed at how many people are hung up on the sh#t she did 8 or 9 years ago when she was 23! How would they like it evertime someone met them they asked about all their past foibles and mistakes? Hell, the woman is 31 years old…she grew up…give her credit for it and move on. That’s the problem with the way the media covers AJ and with the way her detractors perceive her. They spend so much time obsessing over her past that THEY can’t move beyond it, even when SHE clearly has. It’s my fondest wish for someone of these people to become hugely famous, have their pasts dug up and then be asked about it for the next 30 years or so. I can see it now…there’s 50 year-old Angelina accepting her Nobel Peace Prize and at the press conference the reporter asks her, “Mrs. Pitt, do you still play with knives in bed? Did you and your brother still have a sexual relationship? What does Brad think about the vial of Billy Bob’s blood that you used to wear?”

make sure to check the video. about the filming in the school incident
a video cannot lie and tell the full story. Jolie’s bodyguards were NOT there. Pay attention to the people who are raising the hands and voices and the policeman who appear very passive to me.

use your brain and draw your conclusion. Pay attention to the face color of the people ( to determine who they are).

PT, well said, LOL! On Noble Peace Prize, I don’t think that’s a far fetched future for her.

for ritzygal, she posted this morning already. now she is fueling it. that’s why i question her intent.

Tabloids love to print negative news on anybody but especially Jolie-Pitt, catering to the insatiable appetite of the “Minivan Majority” women who feel ‘they’ themselves (through MISS Aniston) were somehow wronged or cheated by Jolie-Pitts. These resentful women are so hungry for any negative news on Jolie-Pitt, jumping and latching onto any sign of negative news like flees.

OMG, this is the HOTTEST photo I have ever seen in my whole entire life. I am talking about Borat, people!

KIDDING. You know which one I’m talking about. Look at that. Wow. Damn. Are you kidding me? What in the world? How the hell? LOL… Seriously, she is f***in HOT! I personally think that is the best, best photo of her. Definitely. Yup. Goddamn. (Boy, us straight females really like beautiful women, don’t we…)

BCBG - wait a minute, you mean to tell me that THAT is not”right off the press” but some stale morning news.

Liz Smith - aka Ritzygal - CUT IT WOMAN!

The kids(the dogs) miss you.

* Now, I am so mad*

According to MAXIM Angelina Jolie is WOMAN OF THE YEAR and for the rest of you who cannot read Borat is on the back cover of the same magazine stop trying to invent your own headlines.

Finally here is a magazine who is bold enough to give AJ her props. I know she is smiling at that Maxim cover because it is a very flattering picture of her. Please JJ can you get that magazine and scan it for the rest of us.

I think that MAXIM photo is old. I’m so looking forward to her cover on Vogue December. I might just buy one for the first time instead of peeking the ones in the doctors’ office LOL Didn’t they say some of those Lebovitz photos were so hot that Brad went nuts and kept some only to himself? When is this coming out?? Anyone?

Karishma is not talking from India. I know very well. All you have to check is her slang.

She used the slang that is common in the US.

Be sane Says: - I guess she will be in the Jan issue which comes out mid Dec
