The press is always going to be up their butts about everything because they (this family) can generate viewership..A mere mention of Brad’s name on Oprah sent things off (even though she was comparing him to poop).

If the media can’t find facts, they make things up or at the very least blow little things out of proportion. What concerns me is that it isn’t just tabloids anymore. So-called reputable networks and publications have jumped on the bandwagon.

The more successful and happy Brad and Angelina become, the more they cement their realationship with family, the longer they last as a couple against all odds…..the more they are attacked and scrutinized. What is going on here is that when this exeptional couple got together under less than optimal conditions, it was “Yeah Brad wants to get him some of that Angelina.” mentality, and they were waiting for him to come undone when confronted with her “freakiness” .

Now that not only did he prove them wrong on that point, but their relationship and careers are thriving. Now the media must find other ways to bring them down. And they will not let truth get in the way! I see what’s really going on, and they do too.

It is not okay when someone insults another culture let alone hurt it’s people - simply put being racist. I think the sentiments here is more like finding out the truth. Not your truth or anybody’s truth but the real truth. A truth can be claimed by anybody depending on their point of view, and clearly in this case, we don’t know that yet. Like maniston said people can get excited and tend to over-react or worst exagerrate things to the extreme that what really happened is lost. Do you heard of things like first hand information? Are those being interviewed experienced it themselves or just heard from somebody who heard from another person? Is it likely that those bodyguards were taunted (hey, they are just people you know) by the media othewise I have yet heard of the story in relation to this family that their bodyguards manhandled people even when they don’t pose any threat to any member of the family. Did it ever occur to you that there is a thing called sensationalism which is very prevailent in media, not only tabloid but all sides of media? And judging Indian news, it is clearly a frontrunner in the race.

It doesn’t hurt to investigate aside but of course it takes time and a lot of work, but it’s an easy money to just put it out there especially with famous people are involved. And of course, while Jolie-Pitts are not directly involved yet they are connected.

While the Jolie-Pitts maintain being modest and polite to every place they go to, they cannot control every single action of people with them but I’m sure those people are well informed to be as tolerant up onto the last strand of their hair.

Thanks BCBG for the link to the video, I could not see it at work; in the video I don’t see any of Angie’s security people hassle and shoving any kids or their parents, to me it looks like Angie’s bodyguards were no where near that madness,I see people shoving and pushing and the cops is in the midst of it with the paps, but I don’t see any of Angie’s people, so how the hell are they blaming Angie and her people for this, oh please, people would find anything and everything to blame Angie for, it is freaking ridiculous.

See, this is one of the reasons I am whole heartedly routing for this couple. The fact that they are attacked on every imaginable level from left to right by most people and they are still together and going strong against all odds. That is the best kind of love there is. In bad/difficult times is when you really know who will stand by your side and who will not. When you find someone who will love you against all odds and who will not be ashamed to stand by your side when most people are expecting him to leave/run from you, you are a very lucky person.
When I thing of the “minivan majority” and their hatred of AJ and this relationship, I think about high school cliques where you have the popular kids (cheerleaders, football players, etc), the weird kids who mostly dress in black, have tatoos, are wild, and the dorks, and all that stuff. Well, Brad is in the football players category and we can even say he is the quarterback who was dating the head cheerleader, then dumped her for the wildest of the “weird kids”. The cheerleaderis pissed and her and her friends cannot understand how a quarterback can dump one of them and choose to be with someone their exact opposite who they’ve probably always looked down on. They cannot understand what he possibly sees in her that is so special because to them she is basically nothing. Some football players are okay with their friend’s dating choice while others can’t quite grasp it either. In the community it is no better because since the “weird girl” is more of a loner, some just don’t like her and share in their views (DT, MD) with snide comments, and some just don’t undertand it. The quarterback and “weird girl” fight for their love despite the people against them.

It’s really weird but your mentioning the quarterback, the cheerleader and the dark wild girl in high school makes me remember a lovely, intense fanfic that BluMystique wrote for Everything Adult called “One Long Year” where Brad and Angelina were high school students. It remains one of my favorites along with Rica’s “Our Wildest Dreams”.

the media doesn’t want to see Brad with Angelina nor want him to be recognized for his talent. They want him to remain forever a pretty boy.

Both of these two are going against the “image” that the media and some at large have of them.

Don’t be suprised by their next actions. Like the “Anoymous” poster said, they both know what is going on and have a plan in place. It may very well be that they are happy with what they have and that nothing(awards or whatsnot) compare to how they feel about each other. In the end, they are ready to walk away from it all and won’t miss it. I get that feeling about them

Love it LOVE IT, love it. This is the only couple I would ever be so bold to say I dont think they will ever break up. It aint about being a romantic or haveing wishful thinking about them either. Its just has always felt like eevery thing each ever truly wanted is what each has got when they hooked up. It just feel to me like they knew the other one was holding all the missing pieces. Im telling it like I see it here and asking too. How do two people in such a short period of time evolve into a well oiled machine like they been a couple for years? Angies heart changed about babies, Brad is a man so many women or envious of Angie for having, a dude who runs back to her and the kids and acts like thats what he lives for. They in love and committed and its like wonderful to be along on the journey.

You’re exactly dead on. The media doesn’t want them to grow or change, nor does it want the public to grow or change either.

Brad Pitt is nothing more than a product to them sold to us the public. His image is suppose to represent the perfect White Male and as a couple him and Jennifer Aniston were suppose to represent the perfect White couple. They were Ken and Barbie in the flesh. Complete with Barbie’s dream house in Malibu.

Now look at Pitt, he’s traveling to some of the poorest countries in the world, calling himself a citizen of the world, claiming ethinic children as his own, having babies with a woman who in the minds of many laughs in the face of “traditional American values”.

He is no longer the perfect White man that he’s suppose to represent. He is transgressive and that makes many people, inside the media and in the public angry. When he hooked up with Angelina and her brood he basically took a match and light fire to that image of perfection. And now he refuses to play the game anymore. Though they keep trying to make him.

Some say that he doesn’t smile at the camera’s because he’s not in love with Jolie. I see something else. He refuses to be who they try to make him to be. He refuses to play along anymore.

It’s no wonder to me why he posed for the W spread when promoting MAMS. That spread represented, IMO, the life that Pitt was supposed to represent for a long time. The perfect White American family. Regardless to the ugly truth that might lie behind the image, it was what he was suppose to represent.

I’m happy now that he feels like he can be who he wants to be and will continue to cheer him along as he creates a life that feels more authentic. I’m glad he represents the image of a man who has decided to live his life on his own terms. Everyone else be damned.

At least with someone like you, we can rest assured that you will write well, maintain fairness, objectivity unlike a certain person on here who pretend to be an insider or hang around the magazine editors..yet she got none of these qualities.
