Angelina Jolie spoke to the media in Mumbai yesterday during a press conference to talk about her shooting experience in India for A Mighty Heart. She clarified that she and Brad Pitt have no plans to adopt an Indian baby. Read the full article after the jump but here what Angelina said on the importance of this film: “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl and the reason we are making this film is because it’s very important to have a dialogue between the two cultures. I have the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

Angelina Scorches Indian Baby Rumors
It was an unusual start to an eagerly awaited press conference. Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie, who evidently kept her role as ambassador in mind at her first encounter with the Indian press on Wednesday evening, began with a confession.
“We have been avoiding the press since we landed in India, but the only reason was that we had a lot of work to do,”she said.
Jolie arrived at the conference in a white linen ensemble. Flanked by co-stars of the film, A Mighty Heart, her humble confession was followed with a terse rider: please ask questions pertaining to the film only.
The only personal query she allowed was one that enabled her to clear the air about rumours of her adopting again. No, Brangelina won’t be adding an Indian baby to their brood after all.
The evening began with the usual banter between her management team and the press. The ’screening’ of journalists took an inordinately long time, with some being asked to stay out of the conference.
For those who did eventually make it to the Princess room at the Taj, there was disappointment in store: producer Brad Pitt had decided to stay away. Was it to mind the babies? No one knows.
The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”
When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.
Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.
“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.
“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”
Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.
“She has a very strong personality and it comes across,”said the actor who referred to Jolie as “Angie”during the conference.
And finally, Jolie’s take on Mumbai’s infamous suburban trains. When asked how her much-publicised ride on a local was, she replied straight-faced, “It was fun.”

Beatrice, the story is not true because Angie herself has talked about the no. of people she’s been with. Her fans have read her interviews and we are not ready to buy into that. It’s another story to make her look bad.

Damn! That’s messed up. I’m sorry but the Indian press seems to be always eager and fond of putting Angelina in a bad light. I hope they never ever return there, and I hope other movies follow suite and find other locations more concerned with fairplay.

Thank you real Lou, I lurk on these posts most days and it amazes at times how inane - some of JA Fans are. Having said this it also amazes how Voight,Trump, Oprah continue to be so blind - I ma certain in their hearts they all belive the assessment above, but will never embrace as they are far too envious to acknowledge just what she has accompolished and how much she has gone through in life to have emerged as a beautiful butterfly. And this why Angelina will alsways have people adoring her, because of her realness.

OMG there is to much craziness over there in India, I just want them to finish up filming AMH and get the hell out of that crazy country, damn I just want them to come home; and I really hope that they never go back to that country, I hate the Indian Press, it seems that they take joy in writing negative stories about the JPs and their security people.
India is a not a good place to shoot; the local counterpart is not doing its job. Hope they pack up the shoot soon!!!

They will attend the wedding in Rome and will probably stay at George Clooneys villa…They will be in his home MO for Xmas…in the new home near his parents and will have a “special announcement”…well, the Indian laws of adoption are so strict that they will not be adopting there….so………………….she is PG…Happy Day….

I gotta agree with you here. It seems this was a situation that got really out of hand. But still, we don’t know if Angie was even anywhere near any of the fray. You know good and well Angie would nit sanction or endorse anybody, especially children being put in a harmful situation. These stories make it sound like she was standing in the midst of it, and I seriously doubt that is the case. It still appears to me that the Indian press is very quick to make Angie personally responsible. It sounds like the result of poor planning on the part of many people. Angie doesn’t make these movies by herself, you know. She doesn’t plan, select, and coordinate the locations.
And another thing, it says the children were frightened by “crew” wearing police uniforms and carrying guns. Why would the “crew” be in costume? That’s bogus, for sure.
We’ll like to focus on who Brad and Angie are, not what happened in story where bodyguards and paparrazis clash in the middle of a chaos that’s beyond anyone’s control:

Brad said he didn’t mind other children and first said he was sending them with the nanny. But, when the car drove up, I was zapped to see Brad too. Angelina had stayed back with baby Shiloh,” explains Lorrain.
Maddox first rode Clysdale, and later a pony called Benzi, while Brad and Zahara fed the fish in the pond. “Brad is so down-to-earth and simple. Zahara and Maddox looked like as if they found freedom. Brad was so engrossed in Zahara getting a ride on the truck that he almost missed seeing Maddox trotting on his own till I had to come and tell him. He was so excited that he went on clicking his pictures away. Brad too was playing, laughing and becoming like a child. It was nice to see him let his guard down,” she says.

If it was true.. why not write about it then , ie 20 years ago ? why wait till Nov 14 2006 to post about it ? Why wait almost 20 years to brag about some juvenile highschool quest. Btw .. It is a known fact that Angelina had one boyfriend since 14 yo and her bf live in with her , with her mom’s approval. So if anyone were to do think about the situation . how can this gossip even hold any water.
Obviously .. the gulible non fans are falling into this blogger’s trap of helping her with her website hits . Anyway .. you non fans .. or rather JA fans are just DESPERATE and clutching on straws. Give up .. Brad is never going back to any LOSERS.

about the high school thing, I believe 99% of the people here must be females, even the haters. That being said, how many of us have had guys lie about getting some off us? They never admitted that they didn’t get anywhere. Now multiply that number x 10 or even 100 because you’re Angelina Jolie and you have some idea of what she’s been going through
This kind of sensational journalism follow the stars where they have a lot of paparrazis, journalists, local people and bodyguards all involved in a scuffle. We should get used to this by now. It is not the fault of the stars neither do we know whether the reports are accurate. This is like blaming athletes for a stampede at the stadium between the police and the fans.

Joining The Real Lou in applauding you. For real, it’s hard as hell for some to accept her honesty about the good bad and ugly road she traveled to find her purpose. It eats them up and they’re jealous, and what is the main thing jealous people do? they look for every chance to find something to be negative about, They rejoice in it like they in church! Angelina aint never given a **** what people thought of her or how she lived her life and it kills them that of all the women in the universe, Brad found the life hed been dying and crying for with her.
You know, despite all the negative criticisms of India or their press, i have not seen Angie SO happy and smiling and relaxed as she is there in India. She has enjoyed herself and been happy in other parts of the world, as well. But I’ve never seen a smile as big as that until she went to India. I think she is feeling a sense of mormalcy because of the way her new Indian friends there treat her. I think you fanatics need to stop blaming India for anything negative that goes on with Brangelina. i understand the need for control, but you won’t find it in India. Which makes India the kind of experience you won’t find anywhere else. If India was so so bad, then why do so many Bollywood stars live there instead of move out? And why do so many Indians from other parts of the world spend thousands of dollars a year to keep going back and visiting the place?
I have a friend who’s family is from india, and she had nothing but great things to say about visiting India. And I grew up with her and as a youngin she had negative things to say about India. But now that she’s an adult, she realizes that all those negative things she thought about her own family’s country were all childish and ignorant minded. Now she goes back there all the time, spending thousands of dollars on plane tickets. A plane ticket to India can be highly expensive from certain far away countries.
And these Bollywood stars who do make alot of money could move out of India, but they refuse to move away.
