Angelina Jolie spoke to the media in Mumbai yesterday during a press conference to talk about her shooting experience in India for A Mighty Heart. She clarified that she and Brad Pitt have no plans to adopt an Indian baby. I have the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”

Angelina Scorches Indian Baby Rumors
It was an unusual start to an eagerly awaited press conference. Hollywood diva Angelina Jolie, who evidently kept her role as ambassador in mind at her first encounter with the Indian press on Wednesday evening, began with a confession.
“We have been avoiding the press since we landed in India, but the only reason was that we had a lot of work to do,”she said.
Jolie arrived at the conference in a white linen ensemble. Flanked by co-stars of the film, A Mighty Heart, her humble confession was followed with a terse rider: please ask questions pertaining to the film only.
The only personal query she allowed was one that enabled her to clear the air about rumours of her adopting again. No, Brangelina won’t be adding an Indian baby to their brood after all.
The evening began with the usual banter between her management team and the press. The ’screening’ of journalists took an inordinately long time, with some being asked to stay out of the conference.
For those who did eventually make it to the Princess room at the Taj, there was disappointment in store: producer Brad Pitt had decided to stay away. Was it to mind the babies? No one knows.
The actress insisted that A Mighty Heart was not about terrorism. “We need to tell the story of Daniel Pearl, and the reason we are making this film is because it is very important to have a dialogue between two cultures,”she said. “I had the blessings of Daniel Pearl’s family to play this role.”
When asked if Marianne Pearl was the most difficult character she had played in her career, the actress replied, “When you are in the middle of making a film, you always think that way.
Playing her role is certainly challenging for me, as I have to make the world understand this woman and her family.”
Jolie said that though she knew Marianne personally, she had never met anybody who had faced this kind of trauma.
“She has every reason to be embittered and angry about what happened to her husband and her, but she is very positive and has nothing against Pakistan,”she declared. Did Marianne visit the shooting or want to see rushes of the film? “She is not interested,”replied Jolie.
“She has been travelling around the world, writing on women’s issues.”
Indian actor Irrfan said that he had expected to get intimidated by the star but she went out of her way to make him comfortable.
“She has a very strong personality and it comes across,”said the actor who referred to Jolie as “Angie”during the conference.
And finally, Jolie’s take on Mumbai’s infamous suburban trains. When asked how her much-publicised ride on a local was, she replied straight-faced, “It was fun.”

Another incident? And yet the hypocracy continues to flow. She is responsible for the actions of her personal bodyguards. If this ugliness was committed by an additional layer of production security , then that would be different but either way, it all falls on her lap.
But if Jennifer Aniston was in the middle of this, you all would have her head. As it is Angelina, it’s all “it’s not her fault…:, “it was beyond her control…”, “if you believe this story, you’re a hater…”, “let’s focus on who they are as people. Here, read this horse story…”.

There are never pictures of these lies despite the no. of paparazzis present. Same with the lie about Angie being in an accident, no picture until we found out it was a lie. I think we should hold our journalists responsible for publishing this type of stuff before a thorough investigation is made. Remember the fake Al-queda threat anyone? Everyone wants to make a sensation out of this couple’s name. Too bad, the gullible people believe everything. The more I read the latest story, the more I believe it is not the truth. There might have been a scuffle but it will always be between the bodyguards and the paps and if parents and children are involved it must be as a result of the scuffle and nothing personal on the kids. We should not hold India responsible, it is the press.

Angelina is the star of the movie — she is not the line producer, she is NOT the executive producer — why blame her? If at all, blame Brad and the other producers and the powers that be who had arranged for the shooting in the school, blame the school officials.
The bodyguards were doing their duty — now, if they were out of line, as the real tita said above, then they should be rebuked and canned. But why call Angelina a hypocrite? She is not responsible for her bodyguard’s beliefs, she hires them to protect her and her family.

Exactly. Why people immediately believe someone who post on a celeb blog because they present themselves as true is beyond me.
This would be a huge story if it were true and until there are pictures and other credible sources start reporting on this story I find no reason to believe it.
Karishma can go somewhere for all I’m concerned. I don’t know her, her motive for posting this here, why she even knows of this site to post this news on, or anything else for that matter. Why should I believe her just because she says it’s true.
I’m waiting for more news before I buy any of this.

I like AJ in the movie Alexander, ( I actually, may be one of the few, who do like the film), for her part, she’s was great in it.

Thanks Gitane. They gotta split that craziness asap! Im just so ticked that the only people catching hell is two, and that’s Brad & Angie.
First, I’m cynical about the Indian press, not India itself. Just like I don’t trust the mainstream media in America, yet I do love the country. Just because I’m Indian doesn’t mean I have to love everything about my country or can’t be realistic with my assertions.
And someone asked if India is such a bad place..why do bollywood stars continue to live there?
Well, did you know that most bollywood stars stay most of the year out of the country shooting a movie in a foreign locale. And movie stars make 2-3 movies per year so they are busy all year. Can I ask if bollywood stars love India so much, why don’t they shoot scenes in India…why go to New York and why go to Switzerland for every damn movie. And when those bollywood stars aren’t shooting movies, they’re traveling somewhere else besides India.
When you saw Brad and Angelina riding a rickshaw in Pune…do you think any Bollywood star does that? You think with all the crap that’s being given to them, anyone would have been this gracious, to not only have a press conference, to visit refugees, meet a with a Prime Minister, and help build homes. No.
Recently an bollywood actress’s bodygaurds were accussed of pushing around people while she was on location shooting a movie. The crowd complained and called the actress arrogant because even though she apologized, she also said part of the blame went to the media people who got out of hand.
Now the media will print stories about her being arrogant and diva -like, but they’ll never tell you the whole story. Even though her bodygaurds were the ones who were responsible, the stories that were written made it seem that the actress herself was pushing around people.
That bollywood actress was shooting in place called Uttar Pradesh.
I’ve been to Uttar Pradesh and it is literally embarassing the way urban women are leered at and passed sexual comments upon(I don’t intend to generalize, but this is a general reaction).
The reason why most Hindi films are shot in the villages of Maharashtra(Wai, etc.) and Tamil Nadu(Tirunelveli, etc.) is because the folk here allow the shootings to take place without any disruptions. In other words, the fans here are not ‘fanatics’ unlike in Uttar Pradesh.
I think the actress made it pretty clear that being a woman, she should not be ganged upon for autographs, etc.
And going by the cat-calls and lewd comments that some people pass at actresses in movie theaters in Mumbai(they even stare at posters and make horrible gestures), I can only imagine how bad it must’ve been to hear them in person.
Now effigies of that actress are being burnt and carried around on death beds.
And this isnt’ the first controversy of its kind. When a major bollywood superstars bodygaurd was killed, people started protesting that the actor refused to help out the bodygaurd’s family. Turns out later, that the actor had alread visited the family and promised to help them. But the media will barely report their own mistakes.
What abou when Amir Khan said something about the building of some dams in one state? They banned his movie from being shown in that state simply because the ruling political party didn’t like the comments he made. Freedom of speech went out of the window for that one.
I don’t hate India. I love going there and visiting my family and there so many good things to say about that country. But I’m not going to deny that there is also a lot of chaos there. And I can’t hide my cynical opinion of how the media works there. It’s all spin. Just because I’m bashing the media for its lack of professionalism and journalistic integrity, doesn’t mean I’m bashing India in general. I’m sorry but I can’t blindly praise my country for the sake of showing my love or respect for where I come from.
How popular are hollywood actors for example, Brad and Angelina compared to the Bollywood actors in India? Now I know why Hollywood doesn’t film there because I’ve never seen so much negativity and chaos coming out from a film location. Brad and Angie seem to love visiting there though… :)

Yeah whatever. Angelina only had one boyfriend. She did not sleep around. But whatever you can believe the nasty gossip of a bunch of ****** men that need to debase women for fun. What else are they going to talk about at their reuninon? Their receeding hair lines and divorces.
