Brad Pitt Takes it to the Court
Brad Pitt was spotted leaving the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office, in Mumbai, India, earlier this morning. Indian police on Friday arrested three British bodyguards working for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after they allegedly roughed up parents and students at a Mumbai school where the star was filming scenes for her latest movie, police said. Below: Angelina Jolie’s bodyguard Micheal Brett, center with black t-shirt, being taken to the local court by the Indian police.
UPDATE :: Angelina Jolie addresses the arresting of her bodyguards: “It is not surprising that the press involved failed to mention their share of the responsibility in the chaos. As for this horrible rumor that someone referred to a local man as a ‘bloody Indian,’ let me say this: I would never work with anyone that was derogatory towards another man’s race. My family is of mixed race.”

NDTV Exclusive: Brad Pitt speaks out
:EXCLUSIVE::Barkha DuttFriday, November 17, 2006 (Mumbai ):In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Hollywood actor Brad Pitt cleared the air on the recent controversy surrounding his bodyguards. The bodyguards were arrested in Mumbai after an incident in a school on Thursday where the crew for the film Mighty Heart was shooting.Movement in some areas of the school was restrained and this caused a scuffle with some parents after which a complaint was filed against the bodyguards. The parents allege they are pushed around and abused and that Angelina’s bodyguards even used racial slur.In his first interview in India, Brad Pitt told NDTV that his bodyguards did not make racial slurs and that it was a horrible misunderstanding.”This is not what Angelina and I wanted. This contradicts the message of the film we are trying to make.”Angelina and I have a multi-racial family, we want them to respect and understand different religions,” he said.”Maybe we should have explained our intentions when we first got here. We would not hire anyone who is racist or who would hurt or push a child,” added Pitt. The three bodyguards Thomas Edward MacAdam, Robert Patrick Dunn and Micheal John Bret are all British nationals who were later released on a bail of Rs 25,000 each.

Isn’t Lainey a complete nutcase when it comes to her Princess Paltrow?
But she calls us lunatics?
+++++++++++++
ROTFLMAO! So true. At least our obsessions are interesting. The best Lainey can say about Putrid is that she’s a snobbish b#tch. Even funnier is the fact that Putrid is such a big snob to others…yet really elitist royalty, which she seems to think she is, would turn their noses up at her for being “just an actress”. She should be thankful she married an English commoner. Although…come to think of it, it would be hilarious if she’d married a member of the aristocracy and his relatives looked down on her. THAT is the fate Putrid deserves for being in perpetual deep-freeze mode.

Well, i guess Mickey will be out of a job pretty soon. I don’t see how they would keep him after all this.

Kearnie… Cheers…:)
ritzygal:
Why did you make fun of Mad’s new hair cut?
Why do you have to stoop that low????
you are pathetic !!!!
See that is what I love about him, how many other stars, would take full responsibilty , he does not place blame, Angie and him are different, night and day, she talked about the press being partly responsible, he took full responsiblity…Angie has got a real man.

What valid points? Seems to me all she did was assume Mickey or the other bodyguards did something wrong, and as such this will cause others from hiring them which I find silly, especially since Brad has his own production company.
Brad and Angie have both come out and denied their body guards did anything wrong. I say hold off on judging until that facts are known.
thanks Alexanderina
Totally agree piper, I have never once had the inclination to e-mail Lainey. I don’t care enough about what she posts to address her in an e-mail. Don’t get me wrong, as long as she keeps defrauding the fraud I’m there - as well, her pro Brangie posts. But I just think her conspiracy tact and inability to see these people as genuine and authentic is bizarre. She seems to go back and forth with the praise, and then every so often she’ll slam them out of the blue (they’re adopting an Indian baby so Brad can win an Oscar..yaaah…tell us another one…). Same thing with her pro-Bamzs posts while slamming bamzs fans…she wants to ride the fence I think she thinks it gets her more hits or something.
Yeah, cuz everyone knows the sites that are pro-Brangie don’t get any hits at all (Waves to Perez and Jared)
Lainey is not too swift sometimes.
Could someone post the URL to the source where Brad is speaking?

I appreciate your feedback as you answered me straight forward and without judgement.
as for kearnie,
ahh, there go the chips. I suppose you further any of your assumptions with any facts. and your personal attack against me for have an opinion or a caution shows you lacking in the IQ department but you seem immaturity as well. There are others invovled in the production of a film other than plan B and a studio has to back the project

You simply are not allowed to be that beautiful, that soulful and compassionate, that successful, that professional, that in love…AND that happy…there will be people waiting and judging everything you do, to try and throw a wrench in it. (Expect Donald Trump to comment at any moment)
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
You mean… he hasn’t commented yet???
Bloody Trump! It’s a sad sad day when you cannot trust a toupéed cuckoo to profit from the occasion and have to put all your money on anonymous loonies.

Any translator on the board!! I would like to know what she’s saying.
Thanks!

That was written in Portuguese, it basically means:
“The press is one of the biggest causes… Is unfortunate that it happened, I hope that this is only one nightmare!”
Gitane
Lol….I forgive you. See, that’s what friends do. They forgive and they don’t name their price when asked to. Instead, they say….”I’ll stop calling him Porgie”….or whatever.
passing through.. You called it..
She is a completel Bore.
I am so proud of Brad as well, I don’t think he should have apologize cause I don’t think they did anything wrong, but I am glad that he did, maybe now this whole mess will be put to rest, and they can finish up shooting AMH and leave India. I hope that they never ever go back to India

When did Mickey become a celebrity? Even haters know his name and recognize his face. Weird.

Ahahaha! GREAT point ‘Me’ — BAMZS is living so large and is so famous, that even the haters know the names of the BAMZS bodyguards. lol
I just feel bad about this whole mess, and I feel bad for Brad and Angelina. I wish they would hurry up and come back home. They should be in New Orleans in a couple of weeks. Is that right?
Thx Sad for the link.
At NDTV.com it said (Watch this entire exclusive interview with Brad Pitt on Saturday night at 10:00 pm (IST))
I knew it wouldn’t be long before she pulled the race card. Is that why she adopted foreign children? To get a ghetto pass?
I’ve been reading the comments here and wanted to answer so many questions regarding India, Indians in general, and if the people at the school reacted the way they did because they are Muslims.
I don’t mean to be rude but people here will never understand stand some circumstances about how India is or how the people behave and feel unless you are an Indian.
Everything is interconnected. If I were to talk about Muslims in India, I’d have to talk about the Gujrat riots. If I were to talk about controversies in India involving celebrities where they’ve had to go to court, the list would never end. It’s common for many bollywood movies to go through hurdles or face protests and controversies.
Indians do struggle with their cultural identity. India is a fairly new democracy at 50 years old and is one of the rare countries in Asia that has a stable government. The wounds from the violent partition that took place between Pakistan and India have not healed completely. Many Indians still hold grudges against the British empire for invading the country and taking charge. Indians were made second class citizens in their own country while the British ruled and made servants out of the locals. It’s also a country that is very traditional and believes that guests and the elderly should be treated with utmost respect. Showing hospitality is a matter of pride. I also can’t help but laugh seeing the picture of Brad leaving a courthouse. Mind you, I’m not laughing at him, but rather the thought this pictures brings to my mind of seeing so many bollywood stars entering and leaving court houses in India over the years. I won’t get into the these topics because it would take forever to explain and not to mention all the space it would take up.
What I will say about this commotion that took place is that it got out of hand. The media has been way out of line as far as the Jolie-Pitts are concerned. I empathize with them for the situations they are having to face. I also do not rule out the posibility that this problem had something to do with religion playing a part in this controversy. The production team and the school officials are also at fault for not communicating well enough. They didn’t have a plan for how they would deal with the kids in the school while they were shooting the movie. School officials should have informed parents ahead of time so that if the parents had any complaints, they would have been handled beforehand. The production team is also at fault for not selecting a better time to shoot scenes inside the school. I’m also very disturbed with how the media is behaving and has been behaving for the past few years. They are beyond intrusive, antagoning, pushy, demanding, and utterly disrespectful of people’s privacy and with regards to a country’s culture and customs.
I know by reading the posts that many are disturbed by all the slanderous news reports. What I’ve always maintained is that when you keep a positive attitude outlook on life and don’t let the negativity around you push you down into the ground, you’ll be fine. If the Jolie-Pitts can survive this and handle the situatation the right way, then I have no doubt this will become another long forgotten bump in the road.
