Brad Pitt Takes it to the Court
Brad Pitt was spotted leaving the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office, in Mumbai, India, earlier this morning. Indian police on Friday arrested three British bodyguards working for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after they allegedly roughed up parents and students at a Mumbai school where the star was filming scenes for her latest movie, police said. Below: Angelina Jolie’s bodyguard Micheal Brett, center with black t-shirt, being taken to the local court by the Indian police.
UPDATE :: Angelina Jolie addresses the arresting of her bodyguards: “It is not surprising that the press involved failed to mention their share of the responsibility in the chaos. As for this horrible rumor that someone referred to a local man as a ‘bloody Indian,’ let me say this: I would never work with anyone that was derogatory towards another man’s race. My family is of mixed race.”

That is so generous of you to volunteer your time to Brad and Angie! LOL
Hey I remember that video of Brad and Jen. Brad had to leave the store first, jen was too scared and he crossed the street, got into his car, then drove around to the other side of the street so Jen could slip into the car.
Even then he was chivalrous!

“Meanwhile, days ago, they were walking in the open and there were no incidents reported. BP took the kids to the horse ranch; AJ took Maddox shopping: AJ and Maddox visited refugees; again, no incidents. Trouble only happens when they are on their way, from, or actually working. Only BP and AJ would get a dressing down for actually working. And this isn’t a film rampant with objectional material.”
yeah, isn’t it amazing that they’ve gotten in and out of airports, hotels, amusements under mickey’s watchful eye without incident–the exception being the rickshaw rides when they first arrived–but when it’s time to shoot the film (their reason for being in india), all hell breaks loose.
is anyone else wondering if things would have been better or worse in pakistan?

lol.. brilliant..
They need to go away, and for those that claims that it will be coward, just think about, if no longer Brad and Angelina stay in India for photos, this situation will be resolved faster and without all this press, why that hell the papers will print the story if there is no more “the couple”, beleive me the Indian press is doing all this just to get attention.
Okay I have been reading all the threads since this whole situation has started but I wouldn’t want to post till this whole mess is done. But there is some think I don’t get!
They claim manhandling. They claim pushing of woman and children. They claim racial slurs. Can I just ask tow questions???
WHERE THE **** ARE THE PICTURES???
WHY THE HELL THERE WASN’T ANY OF THIS THINGS SHOWN IN THE SPLASH VIDEO???
When Mickey garbed the British pap neck the press was very “kind” to provide us with the video of the incident! Why there is nothing of it now??
There was a huge crowd of photographers hugging outside the school with their cameras but now they couldn’t snap or tape any of this things?? All we hear is ALLEGATIONS. And God knows how this allegation can turn out to be outright lies.
The press will never accept their big part of responsibility on these incidents as Angie said. In the past weeks there were many stories regarding them from the Indian press that turned out to be totally false. Why nobody is asking “what forced the bodyguards to act like that??”(IF they really did in the first place.)
In the past weeks there were many stories regarding them from the Indian press that turned out to be totally false. So I do not trust anything that comes from them.
I don’t care about haters opinions. Even when Brad and Angie are simply doing nothing they will hate about it also. And as Real Lou said if this was for any other couple they wouldn’t give a ****. But I’m starting to be very concerned about the world I’m living in. You can not trust anything anymore. There is such unproffecionalism and irresponsibility. And India is just a small example. At first we though that having a television and reading news papers can connect us with the entire world. But it’s just an illusion. In fact it’s separating us from the world by each day is passing. This is a feeling I got when I was watching Babel also. Yes you can find many kinds of “truths” based on biases and personal opinions and on how the media wants to represent the “facts” but there is no way you can find the actual TRUTH!
I’m glad that Brad is standing up for this matter and he is trying to resolve it. He is a great man!(and his so damn HOT!) LOL!
Anyway I won’t post on that matter again until this hoopla will be cleared up.
This is what I meant by saying that there seemed to be something in common between BP & AJ’s bodyguard(s) and their fans:

They are superstars and wherever they go THE TABLOIDS WANT TO KNOW, so the paparazzi FOLLOWS them. Got it?
#3. Drop dead.
I wonder what Brad is thinking about all of this mess?

Do you any you not find this entire school scuffle a bit ODD? This segment of the film is being shot in a muslim school about an amerian who was killed by mulsim militants. The material and content of the film is contentious enough to get the parents feathers all ruffled to say the least. In the current political climate muslims are very sensitive to any cultural, religious, ethnic slur/slight that they perceive even if the intentions are good ones (as is with the film of Marianne Pearl). I have to wonder whether the parents anger/aggression displayed so authenticaly for all the media and cameras and indian press on display is actually because of the so called slurs by the bodyguards or whether if in fact they were simply affronted/outraged that this film was taken place in a muslim school? We also have to ask ourselves, if this had been an ordinary indian school would the reaction have been so heated? Would the bodyguards actually have been in that situation? I am by all means not condoning the actions nor comments of the bodyguards, but after seeing the footage of the riot scene on access hollywood am “questioning” the motives of the parents. In this day an age when a scene made is not just a scene made, but a politcal statement, one cannot always take the truth as being what is said.
*****************************************
This is an excellent point, katie, and I agree that it was bad judgement to use this location for a number of reasons:
The subject matter of the movie, as it portrays Muslim terrorists, and doesn’t do anything to help ideas in the west that all Muslims are NOT terrorists.
And that they filmed while children were there. They should have done it after hours. They didn’t need the children to be there to give authenticity, since the location wasn’t even being depicted as a school, but a police station.
If anyone should be “blamed” for these mistakes, it’s Brad, as producer, not Angie, as actor in the project. So, it IS fitting that Brad is answering to this, it’ his company. However ITA with ya’ll who say he shouldn’t apologize for “racial slurs” or “pushing and shoving women and children” if none of that happened. Perhaps a compromise would be to apologize for not coordinating the location better. Either way, Angie is not to blame, and it is nice to see him take the heat off of her.

I will just be glad when people/paps realize that this couple is REAL, and that they are a happy family, trying to work and raise their kids. I think people are still just shocked that they are still together, and that theyare very happy. It makes me sick that they are followed around like they are ciminals, its like people are just waiting for them to mess up/break up, Micky is just doing his job, He has no idea what some of these nuts may do
Brad has produced so many films and has never had any trouble. Its the location, location, location.
Please don’t Blame Brad. I’m sure he feels terrible that Angelina is getting grief.

She’s actually had multiple guards between him. He’s been fired off at least two sets. He’s not a nice guy. I’ve always been surprised she rehired him when pre-Shiloh trip to Africa. Yes, he’s doing his job but everyone who has used him in the past or worked with him on sets says he has serious issues and treats people like dirt.
___________________________________________________________________
Clearly, you don’t what the hell you’re talking about. All bodyguards you’ve seen with Angelina outside of LA on set are hired by the production company producing said film.
Mickey Brett is Angelina and now Brad’s bodyguard on all international trips. Brad and Angelina employ Sun Protection while in the United States and Brad has the same personal bodyguard who’s head of security for years. You’ve seen the pictures of him carrying Maddox and with Brad in 2005 while in France and London.
The only personal bodyguard hired by Brad and Angelina in India is Mickey. The rest were hired by the Indian/British production company for the shoot there. Please STFU unless you actually know what you’re talking about.

Please dont respond to Lainey in any size shape or form. I think she is now at the point of the putdown because it brings her site attention. She dont have a J & P post without calling somebody a nut and its so on purpose. Whats her damn issue? I figure somebody went wack on her
***********************************************************
Lainey can dish it but she cannot take it when she is called on her lies. The same day she claimed that Brad and Angie will adopt an Indian child since they are campaigning for an oscar,Angie said in a press conference that they were not planning to adopt.
I did send her an email which she obviously did not like, if she does not like hearing from fans then she better shape up. Below is the email that I sent her that sees to have her bent out of shape again:
Subject: Brad and Angelina Adoption
To: lainey@laineygossip.com
Lainey,
I enjoy your blog because I think you have a way with words and I am a fan of Brad and Angelina.
I know you are a big proponent of conspiracy theory in all things hollywood, but I think you went too far today by suggesting that Brad and Angelina will adopt an Indian child because they are campaigning for oscar, does that even sound right to you?
When Angelina adopted Maddox and Zahara, what was she campaigning for, when Brad adopted the two kids, what was he campaigning for. I find it strange that someone involved with Convenant house as you are will dare to question the motive of someone like Angelina who has been doing this for the last 6 years but is only now getting press because of her relationship with Brad.
You even suggested that the picturee from MacDonald was her cultivating an image that your beloved ice princess will never resort to, just since when has Angelina started caring about what the public thought about her.
I am disappointed in you that you will reduce their adoption and parenting of their children to oscar campaign, so what happens when oscar awards are over, do they give the children back? You being in the humanitarian community should know better, they has to be easier ways to get publicity if you are Brad and Angelina, disparage them if you want to, but you cannot in all honesty question her sincerity in the work she has done for the past 6 years, I know you are fickle, but there is a limit even for you.
Thanks Jared for the new Pics..
on a completely superficial note
Brad looks slightly pissed and… incredibly Hot.. :)
What I wanna know more than anything else right now is what opinion is held by all the people there. Its sound like the Indian press is coloring the whole story one tone and that its the tone set by the people, all of them. Hasnt nobody took notice that the whole while they been in India the only negative words come from people who look to be not getting anything from Brangelina being in India? You know like in the states or even Europe and in Africa too, we got a mixed up bag of comments by them people, the sweet the sour the savoriey, but in India we have not read much from the people and when we do again its a beatdown by words.

I don’t know who said this but this is false also.Brad being the producer of the film does not make him being involved or responsible with everything such us locations and wereabouts. This job is handled by the executive producer and the prodaction director. They are the ones who’re making the arrengments. Not Brad. And if they said to him that everything was ok with the shooting for the day then it was their misconception. But of cource this people are hired by Plan B and he is speaking up as he had and I love him for that! The shcool is to be blamed also. They should have warned the parents and they should have not allowded a permition to shoot while the children were there. But all they cared was take the money.

I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking GC has been looking the worst for wear. Sorry AG. Teehee. I’m not cracking on the man, just cause he got SMA either. LOL
They showed him in that Babs special last night, a LOT - Babs must love her some Clooney, LOL…George looks like a different person than the young dude (he was 34) who welcomed Babs in to meet his pet pig. Dude has aged. That running gag in the Oceans movies about how ‘Danny’ looks 50 and Rusty doesn’t….is spot on.
Funny thing is…they also showed older footage (premiere of Seven it looked like, Brad had a goatee and same haircut he has today) and then the more recent footage of Brad (Oceans interview w/ cast), and Brad looked EXACTLY the same.
LOLOLOL
P.S. George does need some teeth work…I think that would go along way in helping him out. His teeth look a bit on the yellowish side and worn the F* down - they’re kind of recessed…it’s weird. His teeth have bothered me for some time. I thought I was the only one who noticed that too, until someone posted their bug with GC’s teeth last night. LOL

Passage India rough for foreign filmmakers
Bharti Dubey
[ 23 Oct, 2006 0057hrs ISTTIMES NEWS NETWORK ]
MUMBAI: Two road accidents, numerous fisticuffs and schedules gone awry. These jottings in the Brangelina tour diary of Pune’s heat and dust say it all. Will the reel-life Mr and Mrs Smith ever return to India to shoot a film?
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt may have realised by now why veteran Hollywood director Oliver Stone didn’t shoot his controversial movie ‘Alexander’ in India, despite his much-publicised reconnaissance trip.
They may even sympathise with the British crew who were not on talking terms with their Indian counterparts towards the completion of the Oscar-winner ‘Gandhi’ almost three decades back.
The truth is that Bollywood’s countryside is different from Planet Hollywood. Here, postponements are nothing out of the ordinary and laptops are alien to film sets. In contrast, Hollywood teams stick to schedules and juggle their production needs with computers. Stone flew out the moment he hit Indian red tape.
Worst, say actors who have been part of western filmmaking, there is a tendency to make a quick buck from unsuspecting foreign crews. When Hollywood actor Matt Damon and the ‘Bourne Identity’ crew came down for a shoot in Goa, they overshot the estimated budget by almost a double. Bollywood lore has it that room rates were overstated and so were local manpower costs. Hollywood teams depend on desi line producers, who keep accounts on paper unlike their Hollwood counterparts. Richard Attenborough’s ‘Gandhi’, too, had gone over budget.
Recalls a unit member of the film, “The total budget allotted that time was Rs 6.5 crore, but the amount was exhausted in making half the film.” Thankfully, the government of the day backed the project and the film was completed.
In hindsight, the unit member feels the British crew didn’t understand the Indian crew’s way of functioning, leading to costs spiralling. “But there is no denying the tension between the British and Indians. More often than not, they didn’t communicate with each other, which again affected the film,” he insists.
Twenty-four years later, the storyline is the same. The Indian line producers are still not able to handle the budgets allotted to them. Not surprisingly then, the Hollywood production ‘Marigold’, which boasts of an Indian star, has gone over budget.
India’s greatest defeat in this regard has been its failure to come up with efficient service providers a concept that has made countries like Thailand and South Korea a favourite with Hollywood. Service providers are literally people who hold the foreign crew’s hand through local paperwork and jargon.
In the absence of such professionals, Hollywood crew depend on word-of-mouth recommendations. The reccomendations are not always apt. Says Udayshankar Pani, who has worked for ‘Gandhi’ and has been a line producer for many German films shot in India, “There are not enough service providers and Indian film schools don’t treat production as a serious subject.”
Gulshan Grover, who has worked in many Hollywood films, feels both sides are to be blamed for the communication gap. He says, “We have some of the most talented guys who are good at multi-tasking despite the poor infrastructure, but a few among us have the habit of getting more out of the dollar-spending guys.
The foreign crew, too, have to shoulder a bit of the blame. They treat us very badly and behave as if they are doing us a favour.” German filmmakers like Michael Enke confess that though their companies are ready to invest in India, many are put off by their previous experiences.
Enke was helped by Pani for his film, but says that many other filmmakers are at the mercy of tour operators who double up as service providers. Hollywood’s favourite locales Goa, Kerala, Ladakh and Rajasthan in fact, have many such tourist operators doubling as service providers and making a hash of the job.
Says Dilip Borkar, who has been a service provider for Indian and foreign film units for 15 years, “Most often these so-called service providers fleece the foreign producers who are ignorant about India. The stories float around and international film producers prefer not to return because of the negative stories.”
But Arjun Bagga of Nora Films, who was the production manager for Omar Sharif’s ‘One Night With The King’, refuses to take a dim view of things. He feels we need to start by clearly revealing the ground realities of our country.
“For instance, it takes four days to get equipment cleared from the customs. If the foreign crew is informed about this and organises itself accordingly, lot of heartburn will be avoided,” Bagga adds.
