OlderBrad Pitt Takes it to the Court
Brad Pitt was spotted leaving the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office, in Mumbai, India, earlier this morning. Indian police on Friday arrested three British bodyguards working for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after they allegedly roughed up parents and students at a Mumbai school where the star was filming scenes for her latest movie, police said. UPDATE :: Angelina Jolie addresses the arresting of her bodyguards: “It is not surprising that the press involved failed to mention their share of the responsibility in the chaos. As for this horrible rumor that someone referred to a local man as a ‘bloody Indian,’ let me say this: I would never work with anyone that was derogatory towards another man’s race. My family is of mixed race.”

Stop stickin’ your head in the sand about these two. If you want the REAL story, go to the BBC today, ABC yesterday, any reputable news agency. Angie spoke to People this morning. BARF, lies, BARF.
They are going to need even more “we love orphans” photo ops. This one won’t go away. Look at the BBC at the size of the children at the school - elementary.

I don’t think I ever saw pics of BAMZS at any orphanage, unless your quip is a backhanded swipe at Maddox and Zahara. Righteous indignation for the Indian people, with a side order of contempt toward small, non-white, non-Western children.

Mikey is a body guard who has a tough job. After all razzi’s have done to other stars including nearly attacking Witherspoon’s children at daycare, I think Mikey should be given some slack. He is doing is job, and he’s doing it effectively.
Hope this is cleared up and all this negative stuff doesn’t detract from the movie. I think it’s going to be awesome.

ITA. The Jolie-Pitt haters said they would break up by the end of 2005, then by 2006, and it’s still going strong. They have been proven wrong time and time again so they need to grab only anything negative about Jolie-Pitt. That is what tabs are catering, feeding the hunger of negativity these resentful women are craving. In fact I’m afraid the hostility is getting a bit too volatile for comfort.
I what to say up front that you will no doubt call me another of ritzygal’s personalities, I’m not. whether you believe me or not isn’t the point. I posted yesterday under the name fan and once today if you care to look I’m very supportive of this family. I saw someone else using the “fan” intro today so I stopped and am using the moniker ‘THE OTHER FAN”. I feel they have to do something about Micky. he works for them and as their employee, what he does is their responsibility. it’s not a question of loyalty it is one of responsibility. just as we are suggesting other film companies will be hesitant to film in India in the future because they have no control over their people, others will feel the same about Brad Angie and Micky. this means other film companies, directors, will hesitate to include Brad and Angelina in their films for fear they will cast a negative reflection on them and their final product. The audience is not much affected with publicity, but the people in the biz don’t want the integrity of there film compromised. Something must be done if they want to be taken seriously in the future. her connection with the UN could possibly be in jeopardy as well. There, i’ve said it, let the chips fall where they may
After reading that article on *Shooting movies in India*…I think I now understand what is going on in India.
In hindsight, India may think nothing of this incident but the world is watching and India surely doesnt look good. Heck, even Namibia looks fine.

I seriously doubt that some of you have done this, but please stop emailing her. She’s not worth bi%ching to or about. She thrives on the negative attention; after all, gossip is all about pressing buttons and overstepping bounds. Just don’t read her stuff anymore. Personally, I will continue to read her columns, but I don’t have to respect her or imagine her as my best friend or ally. Take what you need and get on with it. Seething about a perceived wrong is just what the MiniVan Majority would do- don’t do it.

I have no idea what you mean? But in my opinion, people feel BAMZS on an almost visceral level. Everything is extreme. The reaction that they generate from people, whether fans or faniston foes - is all encompassing.
Ironically, the people that do the most for others, and are coming from the purest place, are sometimes placed under the worst scrutiny and judged the most harshly.
Like if this was someone on Russell Crowe’s security detail being accused of this…people would shrug their shoulders and say, ‘figures,’ and go on about their day.
But Angelina has to be PERFECT, as does Brad now. It’s unfair, but it’s true.
They have to be perfect in all things, especially Angelina - because she is the woman - the beautiful woman, the temptress, the one other women are judging and that some have a naturally envious reaction too…
….so because so many would love to tear her down over anything anyway….some people are going to take this and run with it (especially if it’s not deflated/resolved soon), and those that truly loathe her will make the security details purported transgressions her’s…it will be ‘Angelina Jolie is a racist,’ in no time…or variations on this (AJ has a racist detail etc.) - those particularly nasty vicious women (Hello FF), won’t wait to pounce on it.
Angie is looked upon even more critically and judged more harshly than a guy like Russell Crowe who has a rage problem that throws phones at people’s heads.
I think the attitude of these types is, “well suuuuuure, we know you adopt orphans and give your income away to help the poor, disease ravaged and war-torn all over the world, we know your a great mom and sincerely want to see a world where everyone of all cultures are appreciated…and because we KNOW this about you, and we KNOW that most people are NOT so giving and NOT so caring…including US — when anything negative happens to befall you - it doesn’t matter if it’s indirect or unrealted to you personally, if it can affect you negatively we will indeed blow it all out of proportion because we want to take you down a peg….because you see, if we can lay claim that you may not be all you appear to be (kind caring charitable, compassionate), it makes us look and feel better.”
So I have no doubt there will be people who eagerly, pathetically and desperately, jump on this, as a kind of AHA!! moment for the Jolie Pitts, and Angie especially.
The JPs really have a hard time catching a break.

It seems rather strange to me that there aren”t more negative comments here, about what happened at the school ,involving the the Jolies,,if this had occured on a Jennifer Aniston film set, there would be such a buzz and a flury of bull—-, about her and her peeps, etc needing publicity ete etc, of course, for the Bamz fans ,they can do nothing wrong, and its always someone elses fault,right?

I love Brad and Angie. I’m sorry I’m a late in this train, but just now I start to loke them. I wonder alot about how everything started. did Brad have to pursue her? Did he have to prove himself to her? Did Angie fight it for a while? When did Brad fall for her and when did she fall for him? Us girls sure have wild imaginations.
Anyways, I think today is a bad press day, but is not worse that they had to face in 2005.

In an exclusive interview to NDTV, Hollywood actor Brad Pitt cleared the air on the recent controversy surrounding his bodyguards.
The bodyguards were arrested in Mumbai after an incident in a school on Thursday where the crew for the film Mighty Heart was shooting.
Movement in some areas of the school was restrained and this caused a scuffle with some parents after which a complaint was filed against the bodyguards.
The parents allege they are pushed around and abused and that Angelina’s bodyguards even used racial slur.
In his first interview in India, Brad Pitt told NDTV that his bodyguards did not make racial slurs and that it was a horrible misunderstanding.
“This is not what Angelina and I wanted. This contradicts the message of the film we are trying to make.
“Angelina and I have a multi-racial family, we want them to respect and understand different religions,” he said.
“Maybe we should have explained our intentions when we first got here. We would not hire anyone who is racist or who would hurt or push a child,” added Pitt.
The three bodyguards Thomas Edward MacAdam, Robert Patrick Dunn and Micheal John Bret are all British nationals who were later released on a bail of Rs 25,000 each.
The other fan, you have made some valid points. But look: now we are upset, people are upset, but there are far worse things in life. Let’s thank God, that Brad was not caught DUI and saying racist slurs to the police lol. So there are even worse scenarios. But I agree, they need to avoid such incidences in the future. How they do it, I don’t know. And of course there are two sides of the story and we haven’t heard the other part yet.
Let’s not jump to any conclusion - on either side. As with everything in life, this too is not all good vs. evil. There are gray areas and everyone involved is affected. Filming in India must have been a huge learning experience for Plan B and for a film with such high press and public interest.
