Brad & Angelina’s Boat Ride in Mumbai

I’ve always thought it was a strange, silly, and hopefully untrue excuse to pull out of a film, but when Brad Pitt walked away from The Fountain, the rumor was that it was because he didn’t want to be away from his wife for such a long period. Well I just read the director of the new movie The Fountain talk about why Brad Pitt bailed, and talk about loving that another romantizied Brad & Aniston fable got smashed to smithereens thank you Mr. Aronofsky!

He never showed. Instead, Aronofsky received a phone call from CAA, informing him that Pitt was pulling out. At the time, the actor’s camp offered many explanations, and the press made up many more. The silliest, in retrospect, had Pitt so heartsick at the prospect of being apart from Jennifer Aniston that he didn’t have the nerve to undertake a long Australian sojourn. (Evidently, he didn’t have the same problem with the five-month-long shoot in Malta and Mexico to film Troy, his substitute project.)

As Jeff Robinov, Warner Bros. president of production, sees it, Pitt found the original script brilliant but flawed and eventually tired of trying to get Aronofsky to streamline his topsy-turvy time transitions. “As the start date loomed,” Pitt said in a statement faxed to this magazine, “it was my belief there still remained many questions that we had not yet answered and we simply were not ready.”

Remember the LAX fiasco? After that particular incident & she got plenty of criticism from different blogs & tabloids she suddenly lie low & no news came & then the Saint Jude fundraising comes along. Isn’t that suspicious? I am beginning to know Aniston & her spin machine.

I know. That was so obvious! The thing is, I feel for her publicity machine. I mean it must be tough trying to “spin” things for her when she has such a short list of interest. I mean how many I-walked-the-dog stories can they feature? Maybe when Vince comes back to LA she can be escorted to the airport to pick him up…in a new hat of course :)

I just dont understand one thing,why cant she wear some decent clothes??? By and large India is very conservative place, and I have seen her pictures since she has been in India,be it the local train ride or some other instance like that,I have just seen her show a lot of skin…a lot more than is necessary ! May be she likes casual clothes like that…but still there is a time and a place for everything..!!!

heya….when is your last day of class??? did you watch that boxing competition in LV…..i just talked to my parents and everyone over there is so proud of our kababayan….i don’t watch boxing at all so not really informed but everyone is so happy in PI…..even the people who live above me (pinoy fam) are having a party and karaoke contest….pinoy talaga mahilig kumanta…. :lol:

The shame of the whole incident is, that Brad & Angelina will be the last people to ever say anything untoward about India or their time there, even though many people think they have every reason. They take with them good memories and good friendships made - along with Angie even fitting in her UNCHR duties and the wonderful trip to the orphanages…so it’s unfortunate that some people in India have chosen their project to disrupt and leech off of - and as Irfan said, the international media will do one of two things:

1) criticize India and the extreme difficulty of bringing a U.S. industry production there.

or 2) criticize Brad & Angelina (the last two people in the world who deserve it, given their compassion, appreciation and love/respect for other cultures) - I could have seen Angelina and Brad really being ambassadors for production and industry projects in India…if everything had gone well, possibly coming back even for the premiere. Knowing them, these incidents still won’t deter them from promoting the positives, which is an even bigger example of why they shouldn’t have been treated that way at the end of the day.

As it stands, the only thing that will materialize is an unfortunate ending to what was a successful shoot for the most part, and proof that some factions in India are loose cannons intent on causing trouble for material gain or notoriety.

Those who sought to make things difficult will have won a very small meager battle of words, and lost the war.
