Thanks Just Jared and Alexanderina. I am glad that BP cleared up the matter. It seems to have been an incident that was totally blown up by the media and the paps. The Paps now are so aggressive with total disregard for people’s rights. They have begun to create the news and slant it in their favor. People can see this on all the Paps blogs that have sprung up. I am sure that this incident will not affect the message in the film nor dishearten BP and AJ from continuing their humantarian work. Best wishes to BAMZS and safe travel.

HOLLYWOOD stars Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes were already married when they tied the knot in a spectacular £1 million wedding at a fairytale Italian castle, it emerged yesterday.

Cruise’s agent revealed the couple had a legal ceremony in America before flying to Italy, as the Church of Scientology service is not recognised there.

Arnold Robinson, Cruise’s agent, said they had “officialised” their marriage in Los Angeles before flying to Italy - prompting accusations Saturday’s event was just a publicity stunt.

Residents also spoke out against the star after he failed to acknowledge the thousands of fans by getting out of his car or making a public appearance outside Odescalchi Castle at Bracciano, north of Rome.

Loredana Ruggiero, a fan, said: “I waited outside all day and virtually all night. It was cold and rainy and then in the evening it was foggy and I didn’t see them once.

“It’s a shame as we had made them so welcome. They could have got out of their cars or waved from the castle, but instead they didn’t acknowledge us at all. I feel really snubbed.”

Mayor Patrizia Riccioni also hit out, saying: “It would have been nice for them to stop and wave at the townfolk.

“They welcomed them with open arms and put up with a lot of inconvenience over the last few days so it would have been nice if they had made a gesture.

“The citizens are upset that the mayor of Rome was invited and the mayor of Bracciano wasn’t - they have also asked me to reconsider giving the couple honorary citizenship.

“It’s too early to make a decision on that, but all I will say is that the cherry on the cake would have been for them to acknowledge the people of Bracciano.

“Nevertheless, I have nothing against the couple, to whom I am very grateful for all the international publicity. It’s likely it was just a slip-up by the organisers of the wedding.”

Celebrities including Victoria Beckham, Jennifer Lopez, Brooke Shields and Jim Carrey flew in for the event at the 500-year-old, ivy-covered castle.

Holmes arrived first, followed by guests in a series of blacked-out minibuses.

Cruise arrived at 4pm and the wedding took place at 6pm in the Sala dei Armi (Hall of Arms).

The ceremony angered the local priest, Father Nicola Fiorentini, who rang his bells for evening Saturday Mass longer and louder than normal before the wedding began. He said: “It wasn’t a wedding at all. It was all just for publicity. I can’t believe such an event was allowed to take place in the castle. A pope once stayed there and now we have all this. It’s shameful and an offence.”

The wedding finished just after midnight, following a firework display that was largely blanketed by the thick fog that descended on the castle.

The couple flew out of Italy early yesterday aboard a private jet and headed to the Maldives on honeymoon.

I like when things are not rehearsed that is when you get the most honest answers IMO. I think you can tell when things are staged or the answers are the PR answers. But this interview seems unexpected as things happened so fast but necessary as to address it immediately and very much from an honest place.

Don’t like either Tom or Katie but waving to the crowd would have been a lose-lose situation. The people felt snubbed for not being acknowledge but if they did come out and say wave, everyone here in America would say “Who do they think they are, some kind of King and Queen?”.

Honestly though, they should have acknowledged the crowd, after all these people put up Tom and Katie posters up everywhere - BARF - ! Also I wish I could feel sympathy for the crowd but come on! They waited outside in the rain to get a glimpse of GMD and his robot wife! Why were they treating them like royalty in the first place?

But then again, I remembered someone else on this site mentioned that they might have been paid to put up those signs and at this point, I am not surprised by anything when Tom Cruise is involved. I am willing to bet that he paid people to create this “contraversy” too, to take away from, I don’t know Brad & Angelina?

I thought that Brad and Irfan did a great job … considering this was right after the incident. Brad took his time making his comments, making sure that he is saying the right thing, not offending anybody yet standing up for his employees (the bodyguards). I like interviews like this, off the cuff, answers unrehearsed. If they had rehearsed their answers, then it would look like some planned PR ploy.

ITA, QQQQ. Her vacation must really have s*cked big time because someone is back. Sheesh, when I was on my vacation in September, I did not log on for a whole week. My vacation was more important to me than logging on.

THANKS JJ and Alex!!! He handled it so well. I just love this couple. I really like Irfan as well. I hope he will get casted by Brad in future movies. He really stuck his neck out for Brad and Angie, since they will leave but Irfan lives in India and could tarnish his popularity. He really believed that the media caused this and was willing to speak out. Bravo to both of them….

I like how BP came out in the interview, speaking candidly, from the heart. He spoke like a man concerned about the issue, not like someone lecturing from the podium. I would rather hear him hesitate than listening to a news reader.

At this point, I see JA as such a manipulative, two faced, cold hearted person that I wouldn’t even mind hearing if Brad did infact did cheat. ****** deserved it for the misery she put Brad through. About the interview:
-Brad is saying , although in convoluted words- that he suspects there was more at play that simply paps and idiotic school and fretful parents—basically, that the movie’s terrorists portrayal was what really pissed some pro-terror group and they used the BAMZS, the movie, the whole situation to create an incident and besmirck the actors, producer and AMH even before it’s finished filming.
And Irfan sated that ABsolutely they and the bods weren’t EVEN near the gates when the shouts started…
-”Angelina and I”…”Me and Angelina..”…man, doesn’t he sound like a hubbie in love and perfect comfort with his partner???Looved it.
- and loved the sparkle in his eyes when he talked about the kids, the importance they hold in his priorities and…..and then he licked his lips AND I FORGOT TO FOLLOW WHAT HE SAID

I had hoped that the Reese W and Ryan P split would somehow take the spotlight off of this couple — after all, calling Ryan an adulterer would have been so right because there was proof of him cheating, and not just with one but with a lot of women. But it seems that as far as Brad and Angie go, the X’s fans are really stuck in a time loop (the Star Trek fan in me, sorry) and they keep reliving the same time frame over and over again and never advance forward.

Brad and Angelina’s have known there personal bodygaurds for quite a long time. It doesn’t take a long time to be with a person to figure out their true character, especially when they travel with you everywhere and you see how they act in times of stress. Mickey has worked with Angelina since she did Tomb Raider, by now if she had any problems with his behavior she would have gotten rid of him already.

Its a good thing Angie covered Shiloh with a blanket, because when I saw Katie and Tom with Suri’s video those flashing of lights got Suri irritated (she’s kinda shock i think)….

That was a TOUGH TOUGH interview, and Brad took it. Answering truthfully, no spin, no cover, no publicist, just exposed, and he took it. It really makes him look strong and a responsible man who is protecting the important issue at heart, and his family.
