Brad Pitt’s Exclusive Interview on the Bodyguard Controversy

Brad Pitt gave an exclusive interview to NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) late last week, speaking out against the the bodyguard controversy. Brad was interviewed by NDTV’s Managing Editor Barkha Dutt and sat alongside Indian theater and film actor, Irfan Khan. Watch the first 8 minutes below! Here’s an excerpt of what Brad had to say: “This is not what Angelina [Jolie] and I wanted. This contradicts the message of the film we are trying to make. Angelina and I have a multi-racial family, we want them to respect and understand different religions. Maybe we should have explained our intentions when we first got here. We would not hire anyone who is racist or who would hurt or push a child.”

I think it would’ve been much worse, had he gone in with a prescripted answer for everything. That would’ve made him look glib and insincere. The most important thing is that he is speaking the truth, from his heart. What others might find annoying about his stuttering and searching for words to describe what he’s feeling, aren’t really more endearing and not coming off as a PR statement.

My thought exactly. But then again, I remembered someone else on this site mentioned that they might have been paid to put up those signs and at this point, I am not surprised by anything when Tom Cruise is involved. I am willing to bet that he paid people to create this “contraversy” too, to take away from, I don’t know Brad & Angelina?

I thought that Brad and Irfan did a great job … considering this was right after the incident. Brad took his time making his comments, making sure that he is saying the right thing, not offending anybody yet standing up for his employees (the bodyguards). I like interviews like this, off the cuff, answers unrehearsed. If they had rehearsed their answers, then it would look like some planned PR ploy.

ITA, QQQQ. Her vacation must really have s*cked big time because someone is back. Sheesh, when I was on my vacation in September, I did not log on for a whole week. My vacation was more important to me than logging on.

Thanks Jared and Alex for the video. I applaud Brad for standing up and clarifying some issues, doesn’t he speak so eloquently? Anyway, I had a difficult time following the conversation coz I cannot help myself from staring at our Bradley, he,s so handsome!
Now, if we could watch part IV that would be awesome!

It’s not the vacay that sucks. Besides, “vacation” implies that you had something that you needed a respite from. ShitzyGal has no life, no job, no friends and she was raised by wolves and for some reason the pack keeps moving from place to place. Go figure.

THANKS JJ and Alex!!! He handled it so well. I just love this couple. I really like Irfan as well. I hope he will get casted by Brad in future movies. He really stuck his neck out for Brad and Angie, since they will leave but Irfan lives in India and could tarnish his popularity. He really believed that the media caused this and was willing to speak out. Bravo to both of them….

Someones posts are getting so old. Are you out of medication again. So how is your six week vacation going honey, have you met any crippeled kids lately that you can cut down and make fun of….

Man, sometimes, it’s exhausting to be a BAMZS fan — we are so popular we are called names, posters just keep coming to this blog to debate us with same old sh*t, etc. It’s a good thing we are tough as is our Brad and Angie.

Hey Guys, I truly respect Angelina (foremost) & Brad, BUT there is actually a possibility that respectable people hire “un-respectable” people. From what I’ve heard some of the bodyguards were hired from England which is known for being a country with a huge Indian population with a fairly bad reputation among racists. Consider: 1) Did Brangelina ask questions such as “are u a bigot” when they hired the guards (did they even conduct a jobinterview??) 2) How many real bigots would answer “Yes” to that question if they wanted/needed the job? It’s easy for celebrities to talk about how tolerant they are, that doesn’t necessarily have to involve their whole “working-staff”…

I like how BP came out in the interview, speaking candidly, from the heart. He spoke like a man concerned about the issue, not like someone lecturing from the podium. I would rather hear him hesitate than listening to a news reader.

At this point, I see JA as such a manipulative, two faced, cold hearted person that I wouldn’t even mind hearing if Brad did infact did cheat. ****** deserved it for the misery she put Brad through. Who could blame Brad for wanting to leave and get out while he could. JA sucks the life out of everybody and everything, even Vince looked happier partying London without her presence.
