Brad Pitt’s Exclusive Interview on the Bodyguard Controversy

Brad Pitt gave an exclusive interview to NDTV (New Delhi Television Limited) late last week, speaking out against the the bodyguard controversy. Brad was interviewed by NDTV’s Managing Editor Barkha Dutt and sat alongside Indian theater and film actor, Irfan Khan. Watch the first 8 minutes below! Here’s an excerpt of what Brad had to say: “This is not what Angelina [Jolie] and I wanted. This contradicts the message of the film we are trying to make. Angelina and I have a multi-racial family, we want them to respect and understand different religions. Maybe we should have explained our intentions when we first got here. We would not hire anyone who is racist or who would hurt or push a child.”

why is that poster “get a life idiots” screaming? although i am glad that he/she is posting that way, i just scroll through and ignore his/her post.

according to desert chick, if it was straight from the heart, brad shouldn’t have stuttered. i beg to disagree. i do some public speaking and i tape myself and when i am not scripted, and i am trying to explain my point, i stutter sometimes. even though i have been doing this for going on four years now, i still stutter when i am not reading from a script. brad, imo, was really collecting his thoughts, making sure that he says the right things, but at the same time making sure that the public would get his point that his bodyguards DID NOT DO what the police and the press said they did.

Renee, why should it be on Jared and Audrey? I’ve been able to ignore the idiots why is it so hard for everyone else? Some self restraint may not get rid of them, but at least they won’t have the satisfaction of messing with peoples heads and controlling the show. Alot of us just stay lurkers not cause of the haters, but because the fighting breaking out that comes from letting them run the show.

I’ve made my point, with all of my ranting raving, you’ve focused on me and not on eachother. The public speaker even disagreed with one of you but did it in a cool way, she didn’t cuss or make stupid comments. Now only if all of you would do that. Truly, if you’re on here all day long, that’s sad and I feel bad for ya.

I saw the Clooney interview-clip a few weeks ago @ a news-site, I’ll get back with the link as soon (and IF hopefully) I find it. He commented on the tabloids stating that Angelina and/or Brad “ran over” a cyclist and/or local (innocent) people (of course it’s sensational news insinuatiing that she/he herself was behind the staring wheel). Anyhoo George then said sth like “sometimes u hire the wrong people”. If somebody else has the link, feel free to post it!

Iam from India and a huge fan of the BAMZS. Brad is, was and will always be my object of fantasy I thought he did a gr8 job with the interview and has atleast tried to clear the misconceptions surrounding the incidence. But, coming from India, i have to tell ya’ll that it’s very hard to convince Indian people especially when the issue is so sensitive. 80% of the population are illiterates and ignorants. They’ll jump at anything that is related to religion. Both hindus and muslims. Religion is such a f****d up issue in India. I should say that India is the most racist of all the countries. The “upper caste” people treat the lower class ones like BS. Anyways, my point is Brad did all he could to come clear but iam not sure if Indian people bought it, unless he bribed the entire nation into believeing him. LMAO. Really majority of Indian people are CORRUPT!! Especially the police. They suck, big time!!!
Irfan khan is a very talented guy. He’s very smart too. And NO, he did’nt say Brad “Pint”. So pls stop ridiculing him. Iam so proud of him that he stood by Brad and Angie. Iam sure he must be getting threats from the muslim population already. You must understand that he has literally risked his life in supporting the Jolie-pitts. So he’s definitely a HERO.

I am so happy that I get to see the video. Thank you for putting it up.

Some people said Brad is not an eloquent speaker. To me, I look at the reasons of his interview and determine if he has achieved his purpose . I look at the bottom line. Therefore I dont care whether he is a good speaker or whether some of you said he stuttered.

I conclude that he executed beautifully on what he wanted to accomplish. He got the message across. As a producer he is the right person to step up and speak for everybody. I am totally convinced and I’m sure many of you who watched the video agree with me.
