Brad Pitt Owns 2007
Brad Pitt almost looks too cool for school in the January 2007 issue of Total Film. The shades. The scruff. The crossed arms. His back against the wall.
The Total Film cover headline reads: “His darkest tough guy. His meanest good guy. His sharpest smart guy & his secret zombie sci-fi. Building Babel and exactly why Brad Pitt owns 2007.” The pictures aren’t new but the article is. Hope all you Americans are stuffed from Thanksgiving or poor from Black Friday! (:

HI Alex.. yes.. I really need to get to work myself..
later… ya’ll
boxofficemojo has updated the foreign gross for Babel; however it is about $1M plus short; I think they still have not included the weekend gross in France (and some other new openings).
PLEASE, ENOUGH OF X ALREADY. ENOUGH, YOU GUYS HEAR ME? Who cares about fake rumors, don’t keep her name alive, at least on this thread, please, for the sake of people who have had enough of her. I never yell at BAMZS fans, but there’ s always a start. You can curse me if you want, but ENOUGH. Go see Babel instead, or if you like her, go watch her shows, but no more X rumors on BAMZS thread, please.
someone is a little cranky today
there isnt much to talk about.. no new pics, I agree that x is boring mostly but.. if you dont like it.. come up with another topic yourself.
OT It´s a bit long but an interesting read, and now I get why Brad and Angelina don´t want to raise their kids in L.A http://www.radaronline.com/features/2006/11/rentadads.php
Does anyone remember the bit about Brad seeing a picture of Angelina (by a photographer who does close-up shots of just their faces/heads), and Angelina had done it already, so when the photographer (I wish I remembered his name!) was showing Brad the other people he had shot, Brad stopped at Angie’s asked something like “who is that? she’s gorgeous”…? I don’t know if that was true, sorry I don’t have the source, but has anyone else heard that? It seemed to fit when I read about Brad coming back to do MMS he heard Angelina was taking the role Nicole left. I thought it was sweet so I hope its true! If so then preconceived notions about her personality & behaviour aside, I think Brad must have been excited to work with her.

OMG I was just reading that! Brad and Angie may have a bit of help but they are very hands on parents.. their kids will most likely not be spoiled like some of these kids.
People with so much.. who appreciate so little
bluemoon
that’s an awful shame! and people have the nerve to criticize the jolie-pitts for bringing their children everywhere with them. really, you’re wealthy, privileged, have very little that’s meaningful to do with your time and you pay a stranger to play catch with your kid? and show them that people can be bought and sold on a whim? sad. very sad.
get out of hollywood, brad & angie! DC will be a nicer place when you-know-who moves out!

I never heard about this before, but considering his interest in modern art and architecture, I am not surprised that he finds her pictures gorgeous. IMO, AJ does not have a beauty of a classic Greek statue. She is more like the beauty of a Nefertiti, as represented by the bust in the Berlin Museum. In other words, more modern, more alluring. When you look at her lips, per example, you want to kiss them, or them to kiss you.
OT
Angie and Brad are my only foray into fandom land. In the last months I have gradually built a folder with links to blogs and sites where B&A are usually (favourably) mentioned. Today I have erased all of them with the exception of JJ and specific B, A or B&A places. I really cannot stand opening another link and be hit by trash. What kind of people makes the likes of Paris Hilton, Pamela Anderson, Britney Spears and similar empty-headed imbeciles commercially viable?
On the topic of Babel, what do you guys think the Japanese girl wrote in her note to the police officer? Could it be that she confessed she shot her mom? The devastation on his face after he read her note made me come to that conclusion. But I can’t come up with a motive for her to do that. I apologize in advance to those of you who haven’t seen the movie yet. But I don’t think knowing this detail is going to spoil the movie for you though.
Slightly OT: I was surfing on other weblogs and I can’t believe what Britney is doing to herself. Shudder. This is a woman with two children under 3. And people have the nerve to criticize Angie who did all her crazy stuff when she was in her early 20s. She did cut herself, she did drugs and all those other crazy ass stuff that people are still bringing up — at least she did it to herself, she did not have her kids back then. And yet people are still defending Britney - saying that she is just letting off steam and preparing for her 25th birthday? After she has been out 10 days in a row, partying with Lohan and Hilton, two very undesirable women to be out with? Who is taking care of SPF and JJF, especially the latter, who needs his mother right now!!! Yet Angie, who at 31 has completely turned her life around, is still crucified because of her youthful indiscretions. Still the double standard re the Jolie-Pitts!!!!
Sorry ntt, but I’m getting this one off my chest.

Jen is not close to the Pitts, all you have to is read some her interviews. One time they asked her if she and Brad will be spending the holidays with his parents and she answered like they were asking her to spend the holidays with terrorist. Another time, she didn’t attend their anniversary party because of some lameo award, Brad attended alone. It was after the divorce that she carried on like they were the best of friends. The tabloids just happen the get ahold of the only picture evidence of brad’s sister and mom visiting Jen in chicago. FRAUD

Well as much as I talk about NOT talking about the X factor, I’ve gotta comment on this one because it’s something that has bugged me a long time, and it’s something that never EVER’s brought up and it bugs me.
It’s assumed JA and her in-laws are/were more than tight when there’s never been much out of the norm to suggest that. There’s been a photo here and there, a visit here and there, and one conveniantly placed blurb about how close JA was to Mrs. Jane Pitt in the VF interview.
As long as I’ve paid Brad Pitt any attention, I have never read much at all about the suddenly wonderful relationship JA supposedly shared with her then husbands parents. Won’t claim it wasn’t a nice one, but it has never been established as something “thisclose” being shared by wife & mother-in-law. For all we know the ride from Springdale by Mrs Pitt and daughter Julie to Chicago for a visit with JA we heard about could have easily been about them getting a call from JA asking them to come. Or it could have been about mother and sister going to let JA know they didn’t appreciate her allowing her friends railing on Brad in VF, or mentioning Mrs Pitt in the interview as if she had taken sides.
It’s assumed but never proven one way or another that Jennifer Aniston has and still does, share this great relationship. I personally wouldn’t care if it was the the Oscars awarding me with something, I’ll be damn if I’m missing a milestone anniversary for my inlaws, and that to me says alot about JA’s so-called closeness with the Pitts.

Babel is a very good movie. It’s going to do very, very well internationally. It opens in Jan. in England. Let’s spread the word.
OK, so today is a slow news day. Imagine you would have the chance to ask Brad in person one question, what would you ask? Remember, you can ask ANYTHING!It’s so easy to come up with hundreds of questions, but what would you really want to know?
My question would be, did you go with Angelina to adopt Zahara, knowing you were intending to raise her as her father?

I think,IMO, that Angie answered that question in her CNN interview with Anderson Cooper. He asked her about way of picking the country she adopts from, and she said something like: Both Brad and I have been to Ethiopia before, loved the country and people, so it was a natural choice for us.
BTW, love, love this site and all the great and informative posts. And of course, love, love Angie, Brad and their beautiful family!
I would like to know his vision for the J-P Foundation.

Hey ntt –
It was Martin Schoeller’s pics..

The faces were such extreme close-ups Brad couldn’t tell it was Angelina, and he was astounded. It was kind of an instinctual reaction he had it sounds like, and I just think it’s so cool that he didn’t even know it was her at first and he was still mackin’ on her…muahahaha.
I would like to know what it feels like to kiss Angie’s lips.

It’s not always that easy, especially when critics are so meticulous about AJ’s quotes from her 20s and yet, no one brings up __’s quotes from earlier this year. US Mag has called her out, but IMO, it’s not enough. I can only speak for myself, but I will do my best not to bring her up.
Hey all!
The Independent Sprit Awards nominations are out and Babel was not included. When you look at the films, you can see why. I would classify Babel as a foreign art house film. It’s in between those independent films nominated and the highly commercial formula films that the American masses gravitate to.
This list should be of great interest to Indie film buffs.
And the 2007 Independent Spirit nominees are…

babel was over the ifc spirit awards 20 million dollar budget limit..
Babel was an estimated 25 million.

I didn’t think Babel was eligible for the Independent Spirit Awards. I believe one of the requirements is that a film’s production budget must be UNDER $20 million. I believe Babel’s production budget was in the $20 million - $25 million range.

You know, I’m more disappointed that Hard Candy didn’t get any nods. That movie was pretty good. Very intense and creepy. The teenaged girl who portrayed Hayley was unbelievable. Have anyone else seen this movie? It just came out on DVD.
