I do try to check these comments every few days or so if not daily. Of course, I disagree about the pregnancy thing. Halle is 40. By 40, a lot of women need help conceiving. It just doesn’t happen like it used to. Also unfortunately, Halle may have decided not to have a baby after all. But I’m still hopeful.

Women can control pregnancy more than people give them credit for. Angelina Jolie has had men in her life since she was 14. Yet, she finally decided to have a child with Brad at 30. I’m sure those men in her life were not lackadaisical in the bedroom, that’s for sure.

In any case, I looked at the latest STAR rag and saw one of the photos of Halle and Gabriel at the cafe. It was basically stating that they should have a baby because the child would be so beautiful. They ran the quotes of Halle stating that at 40, she would ask the man she was dating at the time if he would like to have a child. On the same page was a drawing of what their son and daughter might look like. That’s a somewhat regular feature in that rag, combining the features of two famous people and predicting the appearance of their offspring.

The boy looked totally Caucasian, and the little girl looked like Halle’s Mini Me. That was a little funny.

Personally, I think Gabriel’s nose and face shape would come through in their child. That would look better on a son, I think. It just seems like when a parent has really bold features, the kids somehow get them. Remember Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley? Joel has large bug eyes and a puggy nose, and their daughter Alexis got everything of his. I don’t see Christie one little bit.

Overall, my philosophy is “It’s not over til it’s over.” So yes, I’m still going to hope for them. Halle said she always wanted a child. She’s 40 (which is a little late) and needs to seriously consider what it’s worth. Hollywood isn’t too kind to older actresses in general, let alone black actresses. She has achieved considerable fame, she has an Oscar, and I’d love to see her with a happy family life too. Some women end up with major regrets if they do not fulfill their desire for motherhood, and adoption is not for everyone.

I’m a little surprised too, but if so many pop stars and rappers are allowed to act in movies, why shouldn’t Halle be allowed to sing? What’s good for the goose…….

It’s probably just something she always wanted to try in her lifetime.

It’s only a rumor or a silly prank…Halle is not doing an album or cd regardless of what has been appearing on the internet this week and a few weeks ago. HLN , Rolling Stone, and the others are wrong. Halle’s fan club prez Robin Cross aka robirob posted three messages on concreteloop.com to that effect as well as posting statements on her Yahoo Hallehood_Groovers chat groups. Even Angel la @CCL has put a disclaimer on the site to that effect.

My guess someone posted the thing on wikipedia.org and the rumor got started. Anyway check those sources as well as Halle’s message board on imdb.com.

So for now it’s only a rumor (or childish prank). Halle’s said numerous times in interviews that she’s embarrased by her singing voice, etc. Rumors like her moving to Canada with Aubry, buying a plane, having both Ealy’s and Aubry’s baby, etc.

Again all hype and no substance.

The restaurant business is difficult indeed. I’m still hopeful for Gabriel’s restaurant, but if it fails, he shouldn’t feel too bad. The majority of restaurants fail. I’m sure he would find another business venue that he would be successful at. Good luck to him.
