Nicole Kidman = Highest Paid Actress
Nicole Kidman sure had something to smile about at a press conference in Geneva earlier today. She topped The Hollywood Reporter’s Female Hollywood Rich List, fetching 17 million dollars per movie. Nicole beat out last year’s top money-maker, Reese Witherspoon.
$15 million for each film = Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz placing third, fourth and fifth, respectively.
Rounding out the top 10 are Halle Berry ($14 million), Charlize Theron ($10 million), Angelina Jolie ($10 million), Kirsten Dunst ($8 - $10 million) and Jennifer Aniston ($8 million).

^^^^^^^^Fug Face, you are right: #10 spot should be filled with either Meryl Streep or Julia or anyone for God’s sake, fill it with the girl from Blossom or the drugged out little sister from Full House.ANYBODY but no talent one note “X” bad sitcom actress with neverending pity party.

Yes #10 should be changed. There are other notable actresses that should take that spot, and I’m very surprised Aniston made more than them.
I love Nicole Kidman. She’s an outstanding actress. And I’m so impress that she is very selective in her roles and her roles demand a well rounded actress. She is this and more. She is one of the most diversified actress in Hollywood and I’m glad she is recognized for her hard work. I wish her well in future endeavors and in her personal life.
I’d like to see Cherlize Theron move up in the ranks. Not only is she gorgeous, but very talented. She can carry a movie on her own, even wearing prosthetics.
I’m suprised Halle Berry ranked higher, I guess Halle has all the marketing deals from makeup etc.
Not surprised with the other ranking. Talented women.
I do like Julianna Moore, Kate Winslet.
Could you see Maniston doing any of the movie roles Nicole or any of the other actresses on the list? OMG, it would be hilarious cause she would SUCK SO BAD! But her movie roles could have been done by anyone out there EVEN AN UNKNOWN actress and probably made more money at the box office!

I do like Drew Barrymore, but I wonder why she made so much, her last mainstream movie was Charlies Angels? Perhaps it’s because she does have a production company and profits from movies made under her business.
Anyways, Nicole is worth every million. Meryl Streep needs more recognition for her talent, so does Julianna Moore, Kate Winslet & I do like Judi Dench. These women have talent.
Halle Berry is beautiful, and she did a wonderful job on Monster Ball, but I think she’s overrated.
And lets refrain from name calling.
From all the name calling directed towards the actresses’ looks, I found two of many conclusions:
1) female: you’re physically stunning, so the actresses pale in comparison to you
2) male: you’ve dated, been surrounded by physically gorgeous woman or dating someone gorgeous that these actresses rate 1 out of 10 from your experience.
They’re all pretty, and a few are drop dead gorgeous. If they weren’t, Hollywood wouldn’t cater to them.
Nicole is deserving but I am not sure what people like Drew Barrymore and Cameroon Diaz are doing on this list. They even get paid more that Halle Berry who actually has an Oscar and they do not? I am confused about that one. Although I have a feeling I know why Halle is not paid the same if not more than those two.

Guaranteed that physical appearances can play a part in how successful an actress is, its ridiculous that people are basing their opinions on who they consider as “hot.” This list is meant to be based on acting ability along with other factors. Usually I don’t do this but … “JOEY” I think you should get a life.

Many Americans think Kidman don’t deserve this because they’re only thinking movies sold in one country — America. People, how much a studio would pay an actress doesn’t depend on how much the actor appeal in American — there’s the REST OF THE WORLD full of people willing to spend money on an actor. That’s why a studio would pay Kidman a lot of money, not just how much money the movie will make in America, but Internationally. And no matter how she does here in the US, she is a mega-hit when it comes to International market.
Having said that, I’m glad she got paid a lot for one money — coz it’ll let her work on indie movies that usually don’t pay a whole lot like “Dogville”, “Fur”, etc.

People support Angelina because they are obsessed with her beauty. The fact that she hooked up with Brad Pitt, who is also beautiful, made it worse. If they were ugly, people wouldn’t care about them. They hate Jennifer Aniston because our society loves to watch celebrities get humiliated and go down in flames. It makes them feel better about their own lives. Why do you think people are so obsessed with reality tv?
Nicole Kidman deserves every penny they give her. In fact, every woman in hollywood deserves the bick bucks they give them becasue it probably isn’t a drop in the bucker what they give the men.
However, I will say that Nicole is the only one on the list who truly morphes into EACH and every character she plays. When you watch her on film you forget about Nicole Kidman the movie star because she always gives a great performance, whether it be an action film, light/dark comedy, or even horror.
She is one of the few actors in hollywood who is a star not because she’s beautiful, but because she has REAL talent.
