What prompted this declaration?
While in India, Angie was shocked at the lavish details of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ wedding and she told Brad she wants their wedding to be as simple as possible.

Why did she change her mind?
Apparently, when Brad was in the US promoting Babel, he left his phone in India so when Jen called, Angie picked his phone and said “why are you calling my husband?” but Jen also had another shocker in store for Angie, she told her she and Brad have been talking. Angie tells a friend “Jen is trying to casue problems and she won’t tolerate it. Then Angie warned Jen never to call again. Days after the phone call, Brad rushed back to India to do some major damage control with Angie. Clearly, it worked because Angie has agreed to marry him.
Why Angie is read to wed
1) she wants to adopt again
2) her mom adores Brad and has urged Angie to walk down the aisle.
3) Maddox can’t wait and he is making sure everyone knows he is all for them getting married.

Brad and Angie aren’t the only couple exchanging rings. According to In Touch Weekly Jen buys Courtney a diamond. She’s not wearing an engagement ring but Jennifer Aniston is now sporting a wedding band. While shopping in Barneys in Beverly Hills on November 11th, Jen fell in love - with a $9000 cathy Waterman diamond-and-platunum ring. Although it’s a wedding band, that didn’t stop the 37yrs from ordering one for both herself and pal Courtney Cox. Jen and Courtney share a close relationship similar to Oprah’s relationship with pal Gayle King. “Oprah gave Gayle a similar ring’ and Jen loved the idea and wanted to do the same thing for Courtney.

Suri is a cute baby; at first she didn’t look anything like her parents, but I guess babies never do in the beginning. However, she does look like a cute child. Tom Cruise looks possessed. Katie seems to pull a fake smile. If they really are happy, then I am really supporting them and their whole love thing. The issue is that they seem odd; okay I have nothing in regards to Katie, but Tom Cruise just pushes his opinions and beliefs onto other people. I think they both just jointly took stock of their respective pasts and saw how much those relationships got owned by the public, especially Pitt’s relationships. No matter what might have been the truth behind closed doors, the public persona had it’s own EIN# lol. I bet the story playing behind the limo glass on the way to an event was the polar opposite of what arrived. Angelina & BBT to me got to a point of also putting on a show. We expected to get a shock, and we usually did.

For Brad & Angelina now? They’re parents. They have something that’s going to connect them forever no matter if they don’t stay together, and so I’m of the strong belief that we won’t be privy like we used to be. Hey, what better way to keep what you found “when you REALLY want to keep it” is to not share it. Sounds selfish, but in the case of coupledom, be them famous or not, it’s your’s and doesn’t become anyone elses unless you choose it to be. JMHO

Guli…I AM home! LOL! That’s what’s so funny about being stuck! For those who don’t know - Missouri got dumped with a ton of snow in the wee hours of Friday morning. In my town we’ve got 16″ on the ground, snow drifts up to my knees. The snow was up to the bottom of the window sills on my car, so I had to dig it out. I was parked on the street and the snow plows haven’t been through yet, so I was trying to get it off the street so they when they plow the snow isn’t pushed against the driver’s side. If that happened I’d have to wait for the stuff to melt to get my car out! I got it dug out, dug the driveway out and tried to back into the driveway…that’s when I got stuck. I have no traction. I knew I needed new tires, but had put it off…because really, we hardly ever get this much snow!

Basically the whole town in shut down. There’a major highway that runs through here - I-70 - and it’s completely shutdown. I just heard on the news that they’ve cleared SOME of the snow and it’s passable, but they’re advising people to stay home. The weather is supposed to be warmer tomorrow, so we’ll see about getting unstuck then. I hate winter…always have…always will.

OK Estelle, Alex or ELL who borrowed/stole my fly-swatter and pesticide spray. I really need it and can’t find it. OK , who ever did could you kindly put this annoying nat out of its misery…..I am enjoying my white -zin Berringer (eat your heart out Rizos) on a Friday night, the kids are at their friends for now, hubby is watching basketball on TV, as great cyber-friends make IT go away :lol:

nicole.jpg1. Nicole Kidman, $16 mil-$17 mil. What she should be earning: -$1 mil. That’s right, I’m saying that Nicole should be paying film companies to hire her, not the other way around. That’s because she’s poison at the box office, the female equivalent of Sean Penn. Women dislike her, men don’t think she’s sexy, and those Chanel ads induce nausea. My guess is this price for Nicole dates back to Sony overpaying her for that bomb Bewitched. Since then, she’s been doing smaller films, but is signing for studio projects right now. Note to majors: save your $$$ and hire Reese or Angelina.

2. Reese Withspoon, $15 mil. What she should be earning: $25 mil. Reese can do no wrong. Women love her, men love her, the camera loves her. And she’s smart: when she was looking for a new agency, she lamented not owning her Legally Blonde character because it’ll be Broadway bound. Which doesn’t mean all her films are great, but she’s always great in them. She opens a movie. ‘Nuff said.

There is actually a great children’s book I bought for my niece who iis biracial (black and white) and it is by Bell Hooks, the title “Happy To Be Nappy”. It is a great children’s book on loving your hair type.

I think angelina jolie is one of trhe most pretty woman in the world but everyone has its own taste (that is for lara) to the one who said that angelina is naturally gorgeous I don’t agree, yes she is simple and gorgeous without make up so does charlise theron (for instance, I preffer angie by the way) but angie is not naturally looking since she is been operated by a plastic surgeon (chicks and nose, specially the top which used to be round and now is pointy) If I was living of my physic I would do the same though.

Hair hair hair. My little niece has the most stunning hair in the world - just curly like a moon around her face. She is White and black from the Caribbean mix. A future supermodel with grayish eyes against her caramel skin.

But her parents buy her all these books on loving your self and so I bought her a hair book by bell hooks. She loves the pics in the book.

We spend so much time on banal things like hair and not enough on people’s soul. Go figure….

Different strokes for different folks. I think Nicole Kidman is nice but I never found her beautiful. But again to each his own. I think Angelina is very beautiful. Something about Nicole Kidman’s face scares me which is bad because I use to think she was gorgeous when she first came out.

I have to agree w/the others who think Angelina isn’t ‘beautiful’ but rather sexy. She’s not conventionally beautiful in that her features aren’t exquisite or stunning BUT instead, they are exaggerated (boobs, lips, eyes) so she looks more like a cartoon character - which is lots of men’s fantasy, isn’t it?

I know that worry so well! Slow and steady “more time than money” is my motto. We’re expecting some of it in Cincinnati overnight, and the winds today were crazy! It was blowing so hard and my house is a 79yrld solid stone structure but even the wind was rattling it. You be careful now, even being out in that exposure isn’t great for long periods. Let us know he got in also.
