Rachel Weisz’s Burberry Ad
FINALLY! Geez, I’ve been waiting for over a year for this Burberry ad! They shot this ad campaign back in October 2005 with world-famous photographer Mario Testino and it’s December 2006 already! Nevertheless Rachel Weisz and Ioan Gruffudd naturally look flawless. They’re advertising “Burberry London,” a new romantic fragrance for men and women.

what’s the problem with actresses or actors doing photoshoots to model clothes in campaigns? isn’t it the same thing every time they go to an event and name-drop whomever made their clothes? as for why both Unknown and Rainbow Brite have only said anything about Rachel Weisz, i have to think that either you’re both biased in regards to women and modeling/acting or you think Ioan Gruffudd is simply a male model of some sort. isn’t this the part where someone’s to rant about how he’s an actor stealing a model’s job and they should be using “real” male models?

Yea, these are quite old. The new ones are the ones with Ioan Gruffudd and the men’s cologne.
And the whole thing about stealing models jobs, well before these two it was Hugh Dancy doing the modeling, and he’s an actor. Maybe Burberry wants a more professional outlook on their merchandise. Instead of anorexic models.
I know Photoshopping is commonplace but geez. compare the large photo on top with the second thumbnail. They change her facial features and don’t just add in color. They even fixed her teeth. Check out the line around her cheek, in the too photo there is a curve to it, in the Photoshopped photo it’s straight. Why bother even hiring a model/actress when you just make her look the way you want anyway?
Personally I find this photoshoot is quiet nice and sweet. Rachel and Ioan has delicate allure which goes well with the spirit of London and Burburry.
