Gotta say, this renting a house thing is going wonderfully well for them. I think they’ll want to do this from now on when they’re on location.

The paps are down there and still no pics of the family or Angelina and the kids. I wonder why this is proving especially difficult.

Alexandrina: Good point to “I Won’t See It” : The Break Up is really lame (just ask me from enduring it last night). Since I had to watch it with my step dtr. (trying to bond at the uncomfortable age of 19 years old - yeah right) I took the opportunity to really watch X act. Having never seen the movie, but endured all the hype, it was the proof that I knew that her range is very limited. I can not see any raw emotion from her, nor did I laugh at any parts of the movie (nor did step dtr.) I grew up with Meryl Streep and Jessica Lange as my favorite actresses, so my standards are pretty high. Hell, Tootsie was alot funnier than TBU.

Waiting to see where our maize and blue team heads…..I’d like to sneak off and see Babel for a second time. I’ll blow putting the Xmas tree up til next weekend….

Well, with all the troubles down there, they probably have “rules” about staking out houses. I read they have one in the Garden District (?); it’s not on a highway like Malibu, and really, where are they gonna hang looking for them? Plus, it’s only been a week, the kids probably need sometime to acclimate to the new time zone they are in. And, Angie sure looked tired by the end of her shoot. Hopefull, they are taking it easy and have a giant back yard visible to no one.

Izzy and Alex, UM has to go to Fiesta, if BCS picks Florida although I am a HUGE buckeye fan, I’ll be pissed off. I guess they are going to announce it at 8pm EST.

Hi Izzy, I still can’t get over it that you sit through that movie, poor you, the woman can’t act, I think my 5 year old nephew could doing a better acting job that the X, oh how I detest that woman. I like Meryl Streep I think she is a wonderful actress

I think today we find out if Michigan and OSU are going to play for the National Championship or even Michigan is going to play in the Rose Bowl, it should be very interesting….

Hey zooj! Glad to hear that, now maybe she can leave off constant references to her ex! At the moment, she’s still using him to hawk her wares everywhere. When she lets go, we’ll believe she’s happy - until then, constant references to the past indicate a desire to still be connected.

I watched a story about Princess Di today, and a woman from Harlem NY who met with her once said something that made me think immediatly of Angelina.

She said that Lady Di went to the places she did because she knew that the world would follow her there. We’d have no choice but to see what’s going on in the worlds backyards. She knew her “celebrity” could be used to shine a light on the plight of others, and she had found her purpose in that along with being a mother to her sons who she would take out on the coldest of London nights alone, and to parts where homeless lived to show her kids how fortunate they were, and how they had a responsibility to help were they can, and they weren’t better than anyone else because of what they had been born to.

It just all made me think about Angelina Jolie, and wonder why is this so hard for people to understand that about Angelina? Everytime I read someone say “why does she have to be always in the news?” or “can’t she do anything without bringing attention to herself?” OR “they’re such media whores” I just want to cyber smack them silly.

Btw, I really think Princess Di and Angelina would be friends had things been different.

IZZY- Just read you are a fan of Jessica Lange.I am too. Got 2 of her movie from the library. BROKEN FLOWERS, with Bill Murray and DON”T COME KNOCKING with Sam Shepard. Also in the later pic. is a really oldie star, Eva Marie Saint.
Both are wonderful movies. . JLange and S.Shepard, Just like the Sarandon/Robbins, Russell/Hawn has shown the naysayers that love ,partnership and family commitment will survive without that piece of paper-marriage contract.
I know the Jolie-Pitt relationship will last as long as those couples I mentioned above. It’s been almost 2 yrs. after his divorce and the recent sightings with their beautiful children are positive indications of a loving relationship.

Hiya Original jpf, great post, thanks for posting it and I agree. And I think that Angie does the same thing as well, she goes to places where she knows that the media would follow her and she turns the media spotlight not on herself but on those places and the plight of the people living in those places and let the world see how these people are suffering and that something need to be done to help them.

Yeah well I wouldn’t mind it one bit if you toned your enthusiasm down on places like Dlisted. It is a losing battle trying to get them people on those sites to feel as you do, and second because you have made it damn hard to even mention being a Brangelina fan without being called over the top JustJAred Brangelunitic. I am not saying or trying to tell you what to do, but I know i am not alone wishing the cheerleading didnt end up looking like you repping everybody else who loves B&A. Cant hardly nobody post 3 words on one of their threads already without a fight because MK set a nasty tone, but then you come and push the buttons more and its so feeling on purpose. Please chill it down a notch and stop trying to convince them ******* there. They are there to be nasty and not nice.

Defending the Jolie -Pitts on other sites is like explaining quantum physics to a two year old-they will NEVER get it. Funny thing is, if Brad and Angie came to their house, they would welcome them and gush all over themselves!

Good Mama and Malibumom : I get your points. But you know, if they can post the most racist and vile comments everytime a Zahara picture goes up on those threads then certainly they can put up with my ranting about how wonderful Brangelina is.

Too often people like that want to shut you up by being racist and cruel - I can’t even repeat some of the things I have heard on that thread. I have even emailed Dlisted on how offensive and racist I think some of the posters are and they should be banned but it is hard to ban them.

I made a decision, particularly when my little niece was born who is part black and part white, that whenever racists spill their venom, I would argue right back with them. They want us to crawl in a hole and say nothing.

It may be a losing battle but I’m willing to fight it. On a Madonna tread with a picture of David Banda on her back, one poster said Madonna had “a monkey on her back”. That is unacceptable and foul. So that is why I talk back to them.

Last, they should not think I represent ALL BAMZS fans just as much as Zahara and David Banda do not represent all little black kids. I do the same in my office with people who indirectly support Mel Gibson’s tirades, etc. I go out of my way to set them straight. It may not get through but it is, for me, worth the fight.

I work in Entertainment, in Los Angeles, and you would think people would be more open minded here but you will be alarmed to hear some comments made even toward Angelina - who many have never even met. Jealousy, I tell ya.
