OlderRenee Zellweger is ‘Miss Potter’
Renee Zellweger (3rd highest paid actress this year) and Ewan McGregor walked the red carpet earlier today at London’s premiere of Miss Potter (no relation to Harry) in Odeon Leicester Square. IMDB poster DomBiLijah_Live_On reports from the premiere: “Met Ewan, who screamed back at us after me and a few other girls were screaming for him, he grinned and did this fangirly scream back.”
Miss Potter tells the story of of Beatrix Potter, the author of the beloved and best-selling children’s book, “The Tale of Peter Rabbit”, and her struggle for love, happiness and success. US release dates: Dec. 29 (limited), Jan. 12. UK release date: Jan. 5.

Dangit! We were planning on naming our baby girl Beatrice but I loathe Renee Zellweger and I don’t want my daughter having a name that SHE might’ve made trendy or popular.
Any other suggestions? My son Henry (6) votes for Violet, but that’s way too common now, thanks to the Baudelaires, the Incredibles, and the Afflecks. :-)

Didn’t Ewan and his wife adopt a baby girl from Mongolia? I heard about that but I don’t if it’s true or not.

Lara, don’t know what you have against beautiful, classy, talented actresses — don’t you also hate Angelina Jolie? Anyway, the character’s name is Beatrix, not Beatrice, and the person Renee portrays lived 100 years ago, a real person. It isn’t really Renee, you do know that she only plays her in a movie, don’t you? So go ahead and name your daughter Beatrice — it will have no connection to Renee Zellwegger.
Renee looks fantastic — she kept the muscle from Chicago, but gained the weight back after getting too skinny for a while. She and Ewan look lovely together.

“remember da truth,” I don’t normally comment on the Angelina Jolie threads because they baffle me (I’m usually here just for Wentworth!), so tt must be some other Lara (which isn’t a common name, so whatever) you’re thinking of. I happen to think Angelina Jolie IS beautiful and talented (and yes, these days she’s much classier than in the past). Renee Zellweger, in my opinion, is none of those. She does look pretty here in these pics, though, because she’s not doing her usual squinty face. I think that’s what throws me off about her, to be honest.
