The Billboard Awards Goes On Host-less

Let me be one of the first to complain. I HATE THESE SHOWS!

They are the absolute worst! They are unorganized and boring. Poor talent too.

What’s happening to Gwen Stefani? She needs to give it up. Go back to singing like she used to. She’s coming across as silly and talentless, especially now that she had a baby. She needs to start acting like a grownup.

These shows seem like big parties with a lot of drunk/high people. I’m sorry but the rappers have to go. Why so much rap? Why have so many rappers as presenters? Why are they so predominantly out there on these types of shows? Their presence is overwhelming. I’d prefer more pop and R&B artists over rappers any day. All African American people should complain. The rappers show up in baggy clothes and don’t know how to use proper English. A lot of people sitting at home on their sofas think the rappers represent the black race. It’s disgusting!

These shows should be done like a concert. They need to get the “sound” right and have plenty of top-notch performances with minimal speaking. Just announce and give out the awards. No dumb skits or people trying to act cute. People should show respect for being on TV.

I don’t remember which year it was exactly, but a few years back, one of the Grammy Awards was the best one I had seen. The show flowed. Because it was the Grammy’s everyone dressed nicely for the occasion and the music was right on. The performances sounded fantastic.

The people behind putting these shows together are either inept or lazy. There is no reason for these shows to be so bad. Every year now, I cringe when I watch all of these type of shows and end up changing the channel.

Catherine McPhee (sp? sorry!) looked amazing in that dress! I have hated American Idol from the beginning, however, they are unearthing ’some’ good talent! I love nothing more than when one of them breaks the Idol mold and can create their own persona. She looks great!

All these awards shows are the same to me. I really can’t stand to watch so many pop acts or any other faux rock bands- in each genre, the ’singers’ all sound the same..eg. you could switch Gwen and Fergie around and you wouldn’t tell the difference. Don’t get me started on the ‘rock’ genre of today..they can’t even hold a proper note during a live performance. And hip-hop? Ugh, nowadays they all use the ‘techno’ background or whatever type like Pharrell’s. I hate it. I think today’s music is all about experimenting with technology..the human factor doesn’t weigh in at all.

Sorry for the rant. Do skip my post if you’re not up to readin it. But I do mean it when I say it’s really rare to find good music to listen to these days. Why bother making up award shows when there’s no good quality music anyways.

Zac Efron..well..kinda emo here..his eyes are so blue it doesn’t match with the black hair..i dunno..looks like a terror movie or something.
