wow! wow! the cover is really mesmerizing. I saw the preview cover from the picture of Vogue Editor with BW… and initially thought the cover was kind of blant. Now with the actual cover shot , I can over wow a hundred times over . The picture is simple yet so stunning and captivating.

This pic conjures memories of Harlow. Yes, I know Harlow was a platinum and super-stylized blonde from the ’30s, who mainly sported white in her glamour shots, but I can’t help it. It’s the dress; it looks like it’s a bias-cut dress, which was Harlow’s signature. Bias-cut dresses just fall over every contour and curve of a woman’s body and Angelina’s dress fits that description perfectly. And her skin looks phenomenal.

It’s refreshing to see a Vogue cover without beading, sequins, and other distractions. Angelina, the gown, and the gorgeous desert… such a beautiful shot.

Angie had Maddox for 5 years, and she was praised for adopting him in the press, ditto when she brought Zahara home (see her & Zee’s adorable People cover) - it’s only because of the Maniston ‘triangle,’ and Brad being painted as a lying cheating scumbag and Angelina as a maneater, that they get negative press from some folks (mostly Okra’s Jen fans)

…sure you have your few idiots that squawk their ‘what about America nonsense’ but that has nothing to do with race, but more that they somehow think the world’s wealthiest superpower and oldest democracy should be first in line over 3rd world countries dying from disease and warfare when it comes to saving babies. For the most part both Brad and Angelina, in poll after poll are seen as great parents, hands-on and a wonderful tight-knit loving family.

Okra is just trying to draw them into the bad press that was Madonna’s hastily arranged copy cat adoption. But adding that, them “carrying around a little black baby” is “SO OKAY WITH ME,” she says - takes the cake.

Oooooh, well thank you GREAT Oprah - now that you’ve sanctioned Brad and Angelina’s family in the eyes of the public, everything’s fine eh? They were doing so poorly regarding public sentiment - why people were just shaking their heads in disgust at Zahara thriving and flourishing in their care, weren’t they?

All that was needed was Oprah’s ‘okay’ and approval….and Brad & Angie can now be seen as good human beings.

Most of the time they say Brad and Angie are parading around their black baby everywhere for good publicity. So, maybe because she’s defending them against the critics, she’s saying it the way they say it. I have heard both black and white people refer to Zahara as the ‘that black baby of BA’. OPRAH BANNED from TOMKAT’S SECOND WEDDING PARTY.

It looks like Oprah may not be among TomKat’s close friends who didn’t make it to their ceremony in Italy as she was reportedly not invited to their second wedding party.

Recently married and freshly returned from their honeymoon, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes plan a second wedding party that will take place in Los Angeles. The postwedding bash will be held this weekend and will give their close friends who weren’t able to attend their Italian fancy wedding a few weeks again, a chance to see them tying the knot again.

I’m guessing Oprah must be really frustrated and she most likely won’t be getting them a present since this is the second time she’s being snubbed by the two after she was left aside from their first wedding’s guest list. Her spokesman said so, according to TMZ.com.

According to Cruise’s representative, Arnold Robinson, who confirmed the party news, the party is “for friends (who) were not able attend the wedding in Italy.”

However, the situation concerning John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s presence is yet unknown also. They’re said to have received an invitation but apparently ditched their friends’ wedding.

The second reception is set to take place in the Beverly Hills home of Cruise’s business partner and friend, Paula Wagner and her husband, Nick Nicita.

The one who saw Tom Cruise jumping up and down, frantically, on the couch in front of her while confessing his love for Katie Holmes, said before their first wedding she doesn’t have any hard feelings over being uninvited, in fact, she even got them a present.

“It’s not that I’m not going. It’s that they had a limited number of people that they could invite. I was not one of the invitees. That’s fine. I don’t get invited to everyone’s wedding. I don’t invite them to everything I do. But I wish them the best”, Oprah told entertainment show “Extra” a while ago.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes tied the knot on November 18th in Bracciano, Italy and together with their baby daughter, Suri, went for a 13-day honeymoon in the Maldives aboard the luxury yacht Arctic P. They returned this weekend.

“It was a family occasion. They played with Suri all the time, filming her on a camcorder,” a source revealed. On Thanksgiving, the new family visited Fesdu Island resort where “They sunbathed by the pool, read philosophy books and went snorkeling in the lagoon,” according to another source.

“Later, they took Suri for a swim” the source added.

Since their returned, Katie and Tom visited many of their friends including Victoria Beckham. According to People magazine, Katie met Victoria at the Sunset Marquis Hotel &Villas on December 4th. Victoria was in town for a photo shoot.

“They talked about how great the wedding was,” said a Beckham friend.

It looks like they’re not the only ones reminiscing about those dazzling nuptials. “There was just a lot of heart and soul,” Cruise’s “Jerry Maguire” director, Cameron Crowe, told People. “They’re the real deal, and I’m so happy for them

Okay, I’m going to try and play the devil’s advocate here. Maybe Oprah said it that way referring to the way the critics/haters identify with Zahara. Most of the time they say Brad and Angie are parading around their black baby everywhere for good publicity. So, maybe because she’s defending them against the critics, she’s saying it the way they say it. I have heard both black and white people refer to Zahara as the ‘that black baby of BA’. I hear what you are saying. But Oprah is astute enough to know, how her words will be taken. She’s been in the business a long time and knows what to say and how to say it. Conotation means everything. The correct way to say it would be:

See the difference? Its all in how you say it. Oprah is no fool and like Donald Trump, Jon Voight and a few other stars, they know that by simply mentioning Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, they are assured immediate and mass attention. She also realizes that she made a huge error in judgjement. Not that she shouldn’t have interviewed JA, but that in doing so, she very publicly and blatanly took sides in a situation that was none of her business. In doing so she realizes now that she may have alienated two of the most sought after and potentially most powerful humanitarians on the globe. Angelina is no slouch and probably the only person in HW besides Bono who can call C. Powell, H & B Clinton, Empress Jordan, C. Rice, etc. to her table. People may riddicule AJ but you know what Oprah is realizing that when AJ & BP finally decides to step away from HW, they is poised to become something much greater and she wants to be in on that. This is where her public courting of Brad and Angelina begins. Just sit back and watch it unfold.

I KEEP okrah on hand and just eat it for a snack sometimes lol. You just haven’t had it done right because baby, you will change your mind if cooked right. I don’t like it very soft and overly viscous and so mine is usually liked by haters. Okrah corn & tomatoes, the indian dish called kuri? can’t think, but it’s actually crunchy. i’ve had okra every way imaginable (the vegetable, you pervs!!!) and i’ve never liked it. the only way i’ll eat it is if it’s cooked beyond recognition in my mother’s seafood gumbo. other than that, i steer clear of it. i don’t eat whole corn, beets or roadkill either. everything else is fair game.

To understand the context within which Oprah said this, one has to remember where she comes from.

Oprah was, as a child, “that little black baby”. She was born and raised in the segragationist south where I am sure people referred to her as such. She was a child who suffered immense pain. She said she thought she was ugly and worthless until teachers began to notice her intelligence.

Oprah’s entire life has been dedicated to eradicating the struggles of “little black babies”. To think she would ever be condescending to Zahara as a little black girl is completely inaccurate and does a disservice to Zahara more than it does Oprah.

My brother’s in-laws are Black and it is very common to hear family members say such things and it is out of love and admiration - not a judgment. I think this is a cultural misinterpretation.

I think Oprah is actually applauding Zahara beng saved by her parents. That is very clear to me from her comments.

Anyone that says Angelina is a crappy actress is just plain stupid! I am not a fan of either one, Jen Anniston or Angelina, but she is a fantastic actress! Much better than Brad and Jennifer Anniston is not even in the same category, never will be! She totally wiped out everyone in Girl Interrupted! and was sooo deserving of an Oscar! Even her father said so, I do wish she would allow him to see the children though. That is wrong, it isn’t like he would be keeping them alone overnight, what is wrong with just allowing him to see them?

I think it was quite bold of Oprah actually. I am glad she said “that little black baby”. She is clearly alluding to the fact that a lot of people have problems that Madonna and Angie adopted black kids.

When Meg Ryan adopts an Asian daughter, no one says anything.

I am glad Oprah underlined the very issue that I believe is at the heart of which people criticize Angie and Madonna’s adoptions - they are biased toward an interracial adoption. Ih these two women adopted blonde blue eyed kids like Sharon Stone - there would be no issue.

As for the sandwich story, I doubt it if this is true. I hear, if they have to fly commercial, they purchase the last four rows next to them in first class and make them vacant for their privacy. They flew via Tom Cruise’s jet for $250,000 when they came home to L.A. from Namibia after Shiloh’s birth. They flew via Virgin Atlantic when they went to Europe. If this is true, may be Brad wants a particular sandwich since it was an old rumor that he is a vegetarian. But then again, first class you can order a vege sandwich too. It is a cute story though.

I have black relatives too and I do agree, since I live in the south.. that they somtimes refer to children as black.. out of affection and pride. Oprah’s comment was made to criticize critics of international interracial adoptions so each and every of her words were to show her support for these kinds of adoptions.

And most importantly, Oprah is a black woman, one whose entire career has celebrated this fact. I think we can all trust that Zahara Jolie-Pitt is the last person she would attack. I can’t think of anyone who has dedicated her life to uplifting little black girls more than Oprah.

Did you see the footage of her in South Africa when she announced the opening of her school for girls?

I have a lot of things against Oprah, but I’m not going to hold this statement against her. I think she is coming from a sincere place, which is long overdue. She was the only talk show host who dealt with infant rape; it’s possible that, when she’s not advancing the the New Jen agenda, she sees Zahara as a little girl who won’t be subjected to that brutality or to starvation, exploitation, etc. Despite her being neck-deep in Chinnochio’s snatch, Oprah has some awareness and she does pass it on to the MiniVans.

Hello back. I doubt it’s true too, but I thought it was cute and really not that odd. Could it have been not homemade, but sandwiches from a place they really liked, and knew they wouldn’t get again anytime soon, and so bought them and stuck them in that big old Louis Vuitton bag she carries lol.

Hwy, I’ve flown in first class and taken a pizza (I _hit you not) to a friend who asked me to bring one from a favorite local joint. Yes, I got stares, and a coupla people even offered to buy a slice (again, I _hit you not) so the possibility of them pulling it out isn’t at all that forfetched though doubtful.

I’m always the sceptic unless it’s from certain pub’s like PEOPLE, and I don’t like tab stories even if it sounds good. I didn’t necessarily believe it as much as I simply liked the idea/imagery of it and thought I made that clear. Sorry if I suggested that it DID happen.

I think unless we know EVERYTHING that went down with AJ and her father we can’t really say what is right and what is wrong. They are her chidlren and Voight is her father no one knows what type of harm he could cause, what the situation would be like or what type of man he is or is’t better than her.

Don’t get me started on 50 Cent. His comments are indicative of a specific contingent of the Black community who reaches for that epithet whenever someone doesn’t fall into line. It wasn’t the first time Oprah heard that slam; it won’t be the last. I’ve been called that too because I was good in school, both academically and behavior-wise, or when I hang out with my White friends and seem to truly enjoy their company and vice versa.

I get what you’re saying, Clinique, but there are a queue of high-profile people ahead of Oprah who will have to answer to MZS, when they are adults. Unfortunately, most of these people will be dead, so there won’t be closure, assuming that these people and their comments will have a lasting impact on MZS. Brad, Angelina, and their families have an important responsibility, in terms of instilling strength, tolerance, and forgiveness within them.

I think it’ll serve those who are interested in the residual damage to children of scandalous figures to do some research; Isabella Rosselini would be an interesting subject, since her mother, Ingrid Bergman, got pregnant from an affair and had the baby before the divorce was finalized; this happened in the 50s. Sorry I disagree. I grew up in one of the most polictically INCORRECT black households and still those type comments were said amongst familiy and friends. Oprah is steadfast on her dislike of the N word and how she doesn’t think we should use it in the confines of our homes and she goes and makes a public statement like that!!!!!! Please. I don’t know what is the big deal about ciabbatta bread either, I am not a big fan of it either, but it was really good today and plus the sandwich was free, we had a attorneys’ luncheon today, so I couldn’t complain too much lol. So I am in Budapest this past weekend with my two friends Kelly and Lauren, and we are sitting at this vey nice, trendy new restaurant in the city for dinner when in walks Vince Vaughn. He was with two friends and they sat at a table just two away from us. While I was a tad starstruck, we decided to play it cool and act like it wasnt a big deal, not wanting to be annoying and interrupt his dinner. However, I couldnt help but let my eyes wander at one point, and he totally caught me and smiled back and said hello. I smiled and said hi but went immediately back to talking to my friends so I didn’t seem desperate. A little later he gets up to smoke and on his way back stops and starts chatting with us. He talked to us for about 15 minutes, it was really casual, and he just wished us well and went back to his table. After drawing our meal out as long as we could (we were ordering dessert, wine, coffee, the works so we could stay and watch him lol), he finally gets up and leaves so we decided it was time to go. We had no intention of seeing him again, but just thought it was totally cool we even got to talk to him. When we leave the restaurant we decide to check out one of the big bars in Budapest close by. As we are walking in, we see Vince and his friends outside smoking, so of course had to go talk to him. I made some little comment like ’so what are you guys following us or something’ and the next thing we know they’re inviting us in to have a drink.

After we finish our drinks we decided we should go somewhere else since this bar was really crowded and people kept coming up to him, and we end up bar-hopping and walking around Budapest for the next couple of hours with them. It was unreal. He was super nice and so funny. It was like walking around with his character from Wedding Crashers. And you would think we had known them for years with how casual and relaxed it was. At one point he was even like ‘Lets play I never,’ and so there we are playing never have I ever and getting all his dirty secrets out of him. Throughout the night too he and I got in this deep discussion about acting and the theater and film business today, and he gave me like, his whole story of how hes gotten where he is, and I told him where I was in my own acting, and he talked to me about what he thought I should do in terms of my own career.. I GOT ACTING ADVICE FROM VINCE VAUGHN!!

Once it was about 2am all the bars were closing so they suggest going to the hotel bar for another drink. We were thinking omg, but said ok. However, when we got to the hotel, the guy tells us that the bar is closed, and the only way we can get drinks is if we order them from the room. We felt so comfortable with them at this point, (we had been with them for like, 5 hours), and they were not at all sketchy or wierd about it, so we said ok. We went up to the suite and ordered room service and just hung out and listened to music and played would you rather (again, vinces suggestion) and it was so chill.
