Everytime people meet them and get to know them they say that same thing. They are the real deal.

Oprah wants to back track and get with the winning team. She knows what she is doing. She needs to have Brad on her show. Heck even Angelina Jolie being on her show would be a bouns for her in ratings. Think about it. The woman that befriended Jennifer Aniston asked the “other woman” to be on her show. People wonder how Jennifer Aniston feels, how will it all go down. That’s what Oprah would want. She is a kind generous person but she is also a business woman.

And I would have really liked for her to have named Zahara. She has a history about being all about race. She calles people that black girl that black boy. Race is always at the front of her mind. When she found out this designer De La Renta, not sure, has an adopted son who is black she said “you have a black child!” “I didn’t know you had a black! child.” It was typical Orpah. She is so blunt sometimes it comes out crass.

Actually it’s been preety cold here in Vegas. This week it finally hit the 60’s. Last week we were in the low- high 30’s in the day and mid to high 20’s at night.

I do miss Orlando’s warmth, but this just reminds me of my home town’s weather. Chicago is no joke when winter finally sets in. We use to look forward to snow, because snow meant warmer temps. At least untl February. Once Lake Michigan freezes…”The Hawk” (hard, cold wind) is in full affect. THAT I DON’T MISS!!!

I must say as someone who has dealt with victims of child abuse (and given it is an issue close to heart), I really look up to Oprah. To go from rape victim, to no indoor plumbing to teenage mother to bad grades to the first black female billionaire in the world, not to mention her schools in Africa and philanthropy is pretty impressive.

I don’t mind she sides with “X” on her show, either way, Angelina Jolie is infinitely closer to Oprah’s hopes for the world than “X” ever could be.

Maybe Oprah will never become friends with Angelina Jolie - but it does not matter - because they are both doing similar work to absolve disease and poverty in Africa. Whether they know it or not, they are very much alike and I embrace their sense of social servitude.

Not everyone can be friends.

apparently, in an effort to praise the virtues of international adoption, she referred to brad & angelina carrying around “that little black baby”.

I agree, god do really need to bless that woman, and you are right not with money, cause sometimes I think that all that money just turn her foolish, why did she feels the need to say “that little black baby” she could have said “Brad and Angelina’s little girl” and because she is talking about adoption, we would have all know that she was talking about Zahara.

BRAVO! BRAVO! Nice….just nice! Way to go! kick me “while I’m down” why don’t ya. I’ll do the cover but I refuse to pose nekkid with half my bobbie hanging out ….well, in my case, it would have to be a quater of my bobbies in order to achieve the same effect of the last Pity party cover.

Oooooh, well thank you GREAT Oprah - now that you’ve sanctioned Brad and Angelina’s family in the eyes of the public, everything’s fine eh? They were doing so poorly regarding public sentiment - why people were just shaking their heads in disgust at Zahara thriving and flourishing in their care, weren’t they?

All that was needed was Oprah’s ‘okay’ and approval….and Brad & Angie can now be seen as good human beings.

Look Angelina was honored by the UN, and by the Global Adoption Organization, Brad Pitt is seen by most everyone is being a terrific father, they don’t need Okra’s okay to raise their daughter.

By the way, if you’re astute enough, you can pick up when someone is being dismissive or less than generous. “Carrying around,” is the same descriptive Michael Douglas used — and in my opinion, it’s used to demean and dismiss their actions as parents. To differentiate bio babies from adopted ones. “Carrying around,” is the new way to dismiss adoptive parents and their children.

I repeat, OPRAH SUX.

cliniqua, I agree with what you have written. “carrying around” HAS beome a demeaning term, it seems silly but so many people have used this term to bash some adoptive parents. It is in the tone and it is offensive. Oprah could just have easily said something like “when I see them with their adopted daughter…” or when I see them with their daughter Zahara” it would have been entirely different.
