OlderAngie’s Secret Birthday Gift to Brad

Brad Pitt turns 43 in ten days, Dec. 18 and Angelina Jolie had a secret birthday gift ready for him yesterday afternoon in Ohiopyle, (Bear Run), Pennsylvania. The gift involved Fallingwater, one of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s works, which was designed in 1936 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. (Fallingwater is the building behind Brad and Angelina.) Read all about it after the jump!!

Brangelina In Town For Pitt’s Secret Birthday Present
The workers at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater got quite a surprise Thursday afternoon when Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie showed up for a tour of the estate.
According to a spokesman for Fallingwater, Pitt and Jolie arrived just before 3 p.m. for the tour, Jolie’s gift to Pitt for his birthday.
“Brad said he had wanted to experience Fallingwater ever since he took an architectural history course in college,” Fallingwater’s curator of education Cara Armstrong said. “He and I talked quite a bit about design and art. He was incredibly well-informed about architecture.”
The couple took a two-hour private focused tour, led by Armstrong, who described the couple as “very gracious and very engaged in the house.”
“Brad said he had a visual sense of Fallingwater but experiencing it in person, hearing the sound of the waterfall cascading under the house and smelling the wood from the fireplace was better than anything he could have imagined,” Armstrong said.
After the tour, Jolie had arranged to have champagne and caviar sent in, which the couple shared in a private birthday celebration in Fallingwater’s living room. Afterward, they invited the staff to join them and encouraged them to take the “snacks” home.
Arrangements for the visit began about a week before Thanksgiving when staff at Fallingwater received a call from Jolie’s personal assistant in Asia.

I think that sometimes when the papz are flashing their bulbs at them with the kids, Angie gets a look of concern, but I wouldn’t read it as anything else but that. Brad seems a little more relaxed with the situation.

I agree with that too.I have observed it in many pictures of their outings with the kids.But in one of the pictures Brad and Angie are both grining.(Estelle posted the exact link of the pic). It seems like Brad said a joke about the paps or something else and Angie couldn’t help but laugh a bit.
BTW-I adore the outfits of both of them in those pictures.Angie’s white long coat is an art piece and her black boots are the perfect much.And I love what Brad is wearing from head to toe.So casual and yet so well combined together! And I love what the kids are wearing also. 8-)

brad pitt and angelina jolie should give their PR reps MAJOR Christmas bonuses for all the damage control work they’ve orchestrated over the last two years. i’m a PR major and man, those two have some of the best geniuses in the biz!
So, the Jolie-Pitt family are in NYC - and according to the Popsugar pictures, they visited Lee’s Art Shop on West 57th st. (between Broadway and 7th ave.) which is a fantastic art store, for afficionados in architecture and engineering. It’s actually near their hotel, and also near to all the big three network headquarters….
Since Angelina’s movie premiere is on Monday, I am hoping to see pictures of them with the kids at the Central Park zoo or skating rink or at the Rockefeller center ice skating rink - their kids will definitely enjoy it!!!! Or they can see the Radio city Rockettes - that would be quite entertaining for the whole family…..
This is one happy loving family, indeed, that will stay together!!!

don’t care about brad pitt or whomever but i will say that he has great taste in architecture. being an arch intern myself, it’s always nice to see fellow modernists. but i will say that brad pitt is no brighter or keen on architecture than any first year graduate. i’m glad for the hype he brings to the modern design world but he’s not the first. i’m surprised he hadn’t visited fallingwater already. it’s an icon in modern architecture.
too bad there weren’t more pictures of the house…sure looks beautiful in the snow!

Why the need to toss in the negative in?! I don’t get that. It’s great that you came to share how you liked the house and your interest in architecture too, but we know he wasnt the first to see it just like you weren’t so why even bring that up? Geez, it’s like serious backhanded compliment time for what reason? Don’t worry, no one is going to accuse you of being a fan of Brad’s simply because you’re both interested in buildings.

I am sure that if us mag were to run that poll now, the results would be in favor of Brad Pitt! That poll was taken during the height of the pity party. JA`s win in the sexy legs contest would also show different results. JA would not be the winner! These wins were all sympathy wins! Even us mag is no longer team aniston. More and more people are catching on that JA is a fraud!
There is no compaison between BP and VV`s movies. BP does movies to stimulate our minds, vv does frat boy movies. Wedding crashers was a perfect example of a frat boy movie. In america frat boy movies never bomb! Movies like Babel never make #1 here, but they do very well in other countries!

First of all, sorry about my English, I’m not an English speaker.
Of course this gift is very beautiful and very romantic, any doubt about it. But I have remembered a quote from October 2001’s W magazine about Brad, which told this (I have found the quote) :
“But his wife “definitely has a love” for design, too, he says. Indeed, Aniston was supportive enough to give him a surprise weekend stay at a private Greene and Greene-designed house for his birthday last year.”
So, I’m afraid, if W magazine is right, that this is not the first that Brad receives this kind of gift from his partners.

Nah, I think Huvane got any PR guy in the biz beat. If the guy can keep an average talent, average looking, and average cast member of an average sitcom in the news on a daily basis, then that is a great PR guy. Huvane deserves a raise and a purple heart.

I found that when they go out and there are paps around, Angie does not smile and just ignore them. I think it became Angie’ motto now. Because of this, anti-fans and some of fans said she was not happy and they were not happy together. However, look carefully. You can see in some of the pictures that Angie tried very hard not to smile. I found one in this NYC family pictures and I found in their other pictures - you can see Brad said something in evey one of Angie’ try not to smile pictures.

You just took the word from my mouth jpf!!
Brad has stated numerous times in his interviews that he doesn’t consider him self as any kind of professional and that he is just keep searching and learning knew things about architecture. And of course he is not the first one who brings attention to modern architecture and he won’t be the last just like any other person that has any involvement with it.

The Aniston fans are going mental. See, they’ve blamed Brad for the breakup of her marriage, they’ve blamed Angelina. What Aniston proved, without a shadow of a doubt this week, is yes, Aniston can’t seem to maintain a relationship. So, yep, guess what? It’s her fault too.
Aniston and her fans might have won some battles, but, Aniston lost the war. It was only she in battle with herself. Loser.
This next week is going to hurt. Brad and Angelina make BW’s Most Fascinating People list. Angelina’s Vogue comes out, she’s on LKL and on 20/20. And Brad just might be walking the carpet with her at her premiere.
