Angie’s Secret Birthday Gift to Brad

THAT. IS. TOO. CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everybody who sent this in!!

Brad Pitt turns 43 in ten days, Dec. 18 and Angelina Jolie had a secret birthday gift ready for him yesterday afternoon in Ohiopyle, (Bear Run), Pennsylvania. The gift involved Fallingwater, one of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s works, which was designed in 1936 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. (Fallingwater is the building behind Brad and Angelina.) Read all about it after the jump!!

The Pittsburgh Channel has the story:

Brangelina In Town For Pitt’s Secret Birthday Present

The workers at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater got quite a surprise Thursday afternoon when Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie showed up for a tour of the estate.

According to a spokesman for Fallingwater, Pitt and Jolie arrived just before 3 p.m. for the tour, Jolie’s gift to Pitt for his birthday.

Brad said he had wanted to experience Fallingwater ever since he took an architectural history course in college,” Fallingwater’s curator of education Cara Armstrong said. “He and I talked quite a bit about design and art. He was incredibly well-informed about architecture.”

The couple took a two-hour private focused tour, led by Armstrong, who described the couple as “very gracious and very engaged in the house.”

Brad said he had a visual sense of Fallingwater but experiencing it in person, hearing the sound of the waterfall cascading under the house and smelling the wood from the fireplace was better than anything he could have imagined,” Armstrong said.

After the tour, Jolie had arranged to have champagne and caviar sent in, which the couple shared in a private birthday celebration in Fallingwater’s living room. Afterward, they invited the staff to join them and encouraged them to take the “snacks” home.

Arrangements for the visit began about a week before Thanksgiving when staff at Fallingwater received a call from Jolie’s personal assistant in Asia.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Oh Jeez Guli, You have to come ruin it for me. I mourned Max….I mean I wore the black mourning garb for like 2hrs. Seriously, if you can take a look at that picture and tell me you don’t understand where I am coming from….I promise to GO back to GC. Yep, look at that picture and then look me in the eye….huh..okay, that will prove a tad difficult. Fine, Fine we’ll do it this way…..if you can look into BP and AJ’s eyes and tell me you don’t feel the love, then your wish is my command.
Whoa… look at their height difference. Is Brad standing on a phone book?
==========================
LOL, I don’t think it is a phone book Piper, I think he is just standing on an incline, or slop, he is tall, but not that much taller than his lady Angie.
^^
Guys, Brad’s quite a bit taller than Angelina. I always assumed that he was shorter, and she taller but he’s like 5 inches taller, she’s 5′7 or 8 but no more, and he’s 6′0-6′1. Take a look at the pictures of them in India were she wore flats alot and you’ll see.
Here’s another article that has addition tidbits about their visit
“Tour Was Part Of Pitt’s Birthday Present
POSTED: 2:11 pm EST December 8, 2006
UPDATED: 2:17 pm EST December 8, 2006
PITTSBURGH — Just before 3 p.m. Thursday, Brad Pitt got his birthday gift from Angelina Jolie as the most famous couple in the world arrived in snowy Mill Run, Pa., to tour Fallingwater.
“He’s so hard to buy for,” Jolie told Fallingwater’s Curator of Education Cara Armstrong and Event Coordinator Edna King during the hour-long drive the four shared together from Latrobe Airport to Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterwork.
.
.
.
Arrangements for this impromptu birthday bash began about a week before Thanksgiving when King received a call from Jolie’s personal assistant in Asia. The assistant was reluctant to provide the names of the couple but relented when King assured her she would be discreet. Aside from King and Armstrong, only Fallingwater’s Director Lynda Waggoner knew of their December 7 arrival.
The couple was to travel by helicopter from New York originally, but snowy weather conditions necessitated chartering a private jet and then being driven by SUV (with tinted windows) to Fallingwater. Armstrong said the couple enjoyed the ride over, and both remarked how beautiful they thought the Laurel Highlands looked in winter.
Thanks for all the links to Fallingwater. It is a beautiful place.
You guys move fast!!!!!!!!! ;)
POV=point of view
****************************
Additionally, each struggle is different as well as unique. As a woman I still would not classify that struggle with my race (black). Don’t want to offend anyone so let me put it this way.
What the Jews went through I could never fathom, the atrocities of the Holocaust are unbelievable. It is all of our shame and a nightmare to one and all and that is their struggle.
Discrimination is the struggle of the Gays. They fight to be treated as a human regardless of their sexual preference (which to me is a private matter) and I can respect and honor that regardless of my opinion.
HUNDREDS of years of oppression, killing, discrimination, and the lost of an entire culture is without comparison.
Women did not have a voice but they still had their identity.
Jews suffered a horrific attack but in the end they are still Jews.
Gays still suffer the wait of acceptance all around but they still know who they are and from where they came.
Oprah’s current struggle is choosing friends with better integrity.
Again, each struggle is different and unique and I find it an insult to compare or clump together their pain and history.
The real lou Says: December 8th, 2006 at 1:52 pm
Is it just me or does this make anyone think of the Charlie Rose interview in which Brad speaks of the fact that Chinnochio had no interest in his hobbies such as architecture?That interview was a BIG eyeopener for me when Brad spoke of his so-called marriage.
^^^
The real lou, it’s yet another prime example of proof being out there - undeniable proof - that they were not all the PDA etc suggested they were. If anyones seen it, they are lying to themselves if they deny how he answered, and the dry way he did it, OR, the fact that he actually said OUTLOUD that she didn’t get him. I mean DUH?!
jpf
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Can someone post the interview on a link so that I can read? Pretty Please!
Please don’t take this debate as anything personal. It should be looked upon as stimulating and an eye opener to hear opinions from people all over the world. We will not always agree on every topic but we can always build on our common interest of being BAMZS fans.
I’m so glad they found each other. Angelina setting up a tour of Falling Water shows true love. Brad lives for architecture.
As I’ve told at the other thread: this is like a Christmas card to us. Gorgeous.
i think this is the best angelina can do to get brad a present as her movie career is OVER!!!! i mean the “saint” has the second most negative points in the gallup poll for the least favourable actor you would want to watch in a movie. I mean at least Mel Gibson have people who prefer to watch him than her. Angelina should take her ugly ass orphan kids and her whipped ass boyfriend to somewhere where they shall never return. PLEASE SANTA!!!
——————————————–
Bahahahahaha!! Angry much? The fanistons are losing their fookin’ minds. hahahahaa!! LOLOL Guess what, even if your most deluded jealous faniston fantasies came true and Angelina’s movie career was over (I guess the Gallup people were feeling charitable when they saw Mr & Mrs to the tune of a half BILLION), she’d STILL be an Oscar winner and 3-time Golden Globe winning STUNNING A-lister, as opposed to..you know…a FUG tv sit-com HACK!
Muahahaha!!
Hey Tina…I wrote a poem for you…
Brad & Angie playin’ in the snow…
Vince in Budapest playin’ with a Ho’….
Maniston at home with Norman.
Oops, it doesn’t rhyme. Damn.
Nice picture. Are there more?? Okay I’m never satisfied. I rather see happy pictures than trainwreck pictures. I take no joy in anyone’s demise
i’m really wanting angie to be MY girlfriend right now. i love gifts like this. i’d rather have interesting experiences than a bunch of stuff.
besides seeing the pics, i’m also learning every place they visit.
so, thank you, brad and angie for educating me culturally.
