Angie’s Secret Birthday Gift to Brad
THAT. IS. TOO. CUTE!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks to everybody who sent this in!!
Brad Pitt turns 43 in ten days, Dec. 18 and Angelina Jolie had a secret birthday gift ready for him yesterday afternoon in Ohiopyle, (Bear Run), Pennsylvania. The gift involved Fallingwater, one of architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s works, which was designed in 1936 for the family of Pittsburgh department store owner Edgar J. Kaufmann. (Fallingwater is the building behind Brad and Angelina.) Read all about it after the jump!!
The Pittsburgh Channel has the story:
Brangelina In Town For Pitt’s Secret Birthday Present
The workers at Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater got quite a surprise Thursday afternoon when Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie showed up for a tour of the estate.
According to a spokesman for Fallingwater, Pitt and Jolie arrived just before 3 p.m. for the tour, Jolie’s gift to Pitt for his birthday.
“Brad said he had wanted to experience Fallingwater ever since he took an architectural history course in college,” Fallingwater’s curator of education Cara Armstrong said. “He and I talked quite a bit about design and art. He was incredibly well-informed about architecture.”
The couple took a two-hour private focused tour, led by Armstrong, who described the couple as “very gracious and very engaged in the house.”
“Brad said he had a visual sense of Fallingwater but experiencing it in person, hearing the sound of the waterfall cascading under the house and smelling the wood from the fireplace was better than anything he could have imagined,” Armstrong said.
After the tour, Jolie had arranged to have champagne and caviar sent in, which the couple shared in a private birthday celebration in Fallingwater’s living room. Afterward, they invited the staff to join them and encouraged them to take the “snacks” home.
Arrangements for the visit began about a week before Thanksgiving when staff at Fallingwater received a call from Jolie’s personal assistant in Asia.

Tom Cruise & Angelina Jolie Suffer High Negative ratings in Gallup Poll
By Cathy Beers
Dec 8, 2006
One would expect controversial actor Tom Cruise to have high negative ratings when America is polled on celebrities. But Angelina Jolie is still getting high negative marks? That’s what a new poll from the Gallup organization reveals.
Cruise and Jolie’s negative ratings are even higher than Mel Gibson’s.
***
Oh don’t worry, Mel is near the bottom. Trade magazine Editor & Publisher reports that 15% say they would “avoid” seeing anything with Mel Gibson in it.
The poll then delivers the bad news for Tom and Angie. They are the only two stars on the entire list score higher for negative ratings — Tom Cruise, checks in with a Hillary Clinton like 34% voting thumbs down, and Angelina Jolie, with 18% that don’t like her.
Only 12% say they would make a big effort to see a Cruise flick.
***
Tom Hanks headed the list for positive rankings.
Hanks was picked as the favored actor among the 13 tested, with more than 4 in 10 Americans saying they make a special effort to see his movies. Gibson ranks sixth, following Robert DeNiro, Julia Roberts, Will Smith and Sandra Bullock behind Hanks, with 26% saying they would still “make a special effort” to see any movie he appears in.
We’ll see how this does at the box office as Apocalypto opens today and Jolie’s next film, ‘The Good Sheppard’ opens on December 22.

No hate? I wouldnt want to see what you write about people you DO hate.
so… you dont think they are genuine. everyone who has actually MET THEM and TALKED TO THEM and SEEN THEM WORK, attests to their sincerity.
but that isnt enough for you
maybe they should just attend charity dinners,, wear charity sponsored T- shirts, and the rest of the time could be spent tanning, shopping, smoking dope, crying at the ocean, getting drunk, fighting in bars, and boinking college girls and strippers.

Hey Tina…I wrote a poem for you…
Brad & Angie playin’ in the snow…
Vince in Budapest playin’ with a Ho’….
Maniston at home with Norman.
Oops, it doesn’t rhyme. Damn.
LOLOLOLOL
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Brad & Angie playin’ in the snow…
Vince in Budapest playin’ with a Ho’….
Maniston and Norman are home alone.
Her next course of action… no one knows.
‘Life is so unfair. Does anyone care?’
‘I know… I’ll venture out, alone, sans underwear!’
Tina, tina, tina! I guess ALL the legitimate press publications that refer to Angelina as A MOVIE STAR ALL AROUND THE WORLD don’t know anything, do they? I’m sure they would love to hear your viewpoints on why Angie doesn’t deserve that title. Good luck with that.
If you don’t like Brad and Angelina that is fine they are adults. But hate against the children is wrong. Even if you are not a fan of their parent’s there is no way you can justify insulting a child.
That being said, it really is quite funny how these haters constantly change their tactics. When B & A first hooked up it was “They won’t last a year” They did. Then it was “She’ll never give him a bio child” She did. “Then it was well their careers are over. ” Brad is getting buzz not only for his acting (Babel) but also for his producing (The Departed) Angelina is the one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood and most respected. So now the angle is “A Gallup poll found that she is number 2 in people’s whose movies you would avoid” Hmmm. If you want to get technical 18% of 1003 people polled are about 180 people. Out of 1003. I’ll let the haters figure that bit of math out as they have so much time on their hands.
If people’s happiness is a threat to you, it’s very sad. If this couple that you hate so much has this much power over you, that is even sadder. Drink some wine, lighten up, have a few really good orgasms. Life is short. You shouldn’t spend it being so miserable.
oups I meant to say Effectively Brangelina didn’t give the paps in India what they wanted. (not died!)
My first break of the day from work and I find this…yum.
Is this a real picture or is it photoshopped?
Either way, it is too cute and a really great Christmas Card! :) They look great!
i thought, a la hollywood, she bought it for him and i got annoyed. after i realized they just toured it, my respect for her grew a lot b/c it’s such a thoughtful gift. i’ve actually stood in that spot with my ex…and yes, there is a slight incline to the ground. i respect her a whole lot more. still needs to stop with the adopting a kid from each poor country she visits, but there’s worst offenses…
Ay yi yi…Why are we wasting time on Tina? The girl already showed what she is from her first post.. There is no changing her mind….so why bother?
LMAO Cliniqua, that’s funny,
how about this:
Brad & Angie playin’ in the snow…
Vince in Budapest playin’ with a Ho’….
Maniston at home with Norman playing santa, crying bohoboho….
Clooney proud of Pitt and Jolie friendship
08/12/2006 - 11:10:53
George Clooney has praised his pals Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for the way they manipulate the media to highlight pressing issues around the world.
Clooney has been buddies with Pitt for years, but respects his pal even more since he fell for Jolie, because the couple have done so much good already.
He says: “I couldn’t be more proud to be their friend. They’re really committed to bring attention to good causes.
“They have a very smart theory: If the cameras are going to follow them, they’re going to go places where the cameras could do some good. I think it’s a great idea.”
brad Pitt doesn’t have a chance winning the oscar. i mean lets see the theory. in each category they have five nomination and ben affleck and djimon hounsou have already won awards for best supproting actor, so that makes them the frontrunner and then comes eddie murphy and jack nicholsan who are getting so much buzz for their work. this makes four, i mean pitt might get lucky and just round up as the fifth nominee. So, in my opinion pitt can just be lucky that his name will be mention in the catogery. And as for Jolie, i mean she has no chance beating jennifer hudson.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Albert you act as though this is Brad’s first time being nominated. It’s not. He didn’t win last time and hey, he may not win this time. But at least he was invited. He put out a great performance and deserves the nomination. Ben Affleck did a good job as well, but just because he won once doesn’t make him a shoe-in to win this time. djimon hounsou is ten times the actor Ben is but even that doesn’t make him a shoe-in. You say he’s rounding out at 5th. But see he’s still in the game, he’s been invited, has season tickets and he’s at the top of his game. This won’t be the last time you see him there either.
He rounded out the top 5. Better the top five than number 6 down.

…..when you’re done, would you mind giving me the odds on Maniston’s chance at 1) winning an Oscar, or 2) being nominated for an Oscar, or 3) being a presenter at the Oscar’s ever again in life…and finally 4) watching the Oscars at home from her comfy couch which smells like old Norman, cigarettes and booze?
I’d say…1) 0% 2) 0% 3) 0% and 4) 100% chance this will happen this year and every year after.
:-D

^^
Thanks so much. I saw pictures of this once when it had the ice cascading off each level and it was amazing looking. I never liked FLW’s designs much, but I can and do appreciate his genius.
Trivia: Frank Lloyd Wright was the grandmother of the late great Anne Baxter. If you’re a movie buff, you might remember her as Eve Harrington in ALL ABOUT EVE. She was the snake out after Margo Channing…..played by Betty Davis….. spot in life & love. The famous line from the movie was “fasten your seatbealts, its going to be a bumpy night.”
