OlderMoviegoers Avoid Angelina Jolie?
Not likely but The Gallup Organization, a supposedly widely recognized barometer of American opinion (I’ve never heard of it), recently conducted a survey asking Americans “whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers.”
Americans gave Tom Cruise a giant “thumbs down” clocking in at 34 percent. Angelina Jolie came in at a distant second, with 18 percent of Americans saying they avoid seeing her movies. That’s 180 out of 1003 votes.
Who received the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll? Tom Hanks! Two of his most recent films include The Da Vinci Code and The Terminal.
Pictures include Angelina Jolie recently leaving her NYC midtown hotel (supposedly The Regency Hotel at Park and 61st).

No one really believes in polls anymore. The don’t trust election polls or any type of polls because people lie all the time in them. With that being said, War of the Worlds did very well and people said it would suffer because of all the TomKat crap at the time and it didn’t. MI3 was still a big movie for Paramount but not as big the previous two and the studio blamed it on Cruise and his antics. It was an excuse to get rid of him which they had been wanting to do for awhile.
i have to agree with Jennifer, i think Angelina is just beauty and nothing more. Until now i don’t remember to like any of her films…
That poll doesn’t take into consideration the tons of people who love Angie and the great work that she does for the less fortunate. Everyone is entitled to their opinions though.

Gallup Poll: Tom Hanks Tops With American Audiences, Tom Cruise Draws Negative Response
PRINCETON, New Jersey — Bad news for Tom Cruise.
A new Gallup survey says Americans gave him a giant “thumbs down” compared to other top Hollywood stars.
Asked whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers, nearly three times as many — 34 percent — said they avoid Cruise’s pictures as those who said they seek them out — just 12 percent
Cruise had the most negative reaction of any of the 13 stars in the poll. Angelina Jolie clocked in a distant second, with 18 percent saying they avoid seeing her movies.
Tom Hanks had the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll. Forty-four percent said they make a special effort to see his pictures, backed up by another 48 percent who said they consider seeing his films. Only 5 percent said they avoid them.
Mel Gibson doesn’t seem to have been hit too hard by his recent anti-semitic tirade and drunk driving arrest. Gibson’s “Apocalypto” was the #1 movie at the box office this weekend. The Gallup survey shows 26 percent make an effort to see his movies, with 15 percent saying they avoid them.
The survey also asked 1,003 adults to consider Robert DeNiro, Julia Roberts, Will Smith and more.

Thank you! That’s exactly what I’ve been trying to say all along. Very few people vote on these polls. Most of the people who watch movies or just say most Americans don’t write on blogs, don’t vote on polls, don’t really care one way or the other about these movie stars as long as the movie is good or looks interesting, they’ll go and see it. Tom Cruise at the height of his craziness last year was in Mission Impossible 3 which was number 1 on opening weekend with over $40 million and raked in. It might have been lower than what the studios expected but Tom Cruises action movies have always raked in over $100 million. MI3’s total box office which I don’t think is that terrible to look at.

But PT, the movie was called almost everywhere as “Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto” so it is his movie even if he’s not starring in it. For me, I actually liked that it was number one because he went through a lot this summer.

Is this the poll that said that made me think Al Gore had a better chance at beating Bush in the 2004 elections? I remember watching the news channels during that time and since I liked Gore, I was happy that the polls were favoring him only to be disappointed on election night when things went topsy-turvy and we all know what happened next.
I have never read or seen anything about this Poll until this blog. I was not asked my opinion and this is not a presidential Gallup Poll. It is subjective and people can make up their minds whether to see a Movie or not. I do not base my purchasing power on some small sample poll but the body of the person’s work. AJ has received numerous awards for her work, has a large international and national fan base and a good humanitarian. That is good enough for me.

Actually, if someone could post the entire poll with it’s different questions, you get a different feel for what the respondents actually said.
When you align all the questions up, more people will g0 and see and a movie with Angelina in it because she’s in it.

Reconcile with her father? Her father? The man who publicly says how sorry he is for everything and wants to meet his grandchildren to the whole world but when his GOOD FRIEND Donald Trump goes on national TV on Larry King Live and basically calls his daughter all sorts of names, he does not have a response? That father? That’s the father you want her to let near her children? The one who can’t even tell his friends to stop disrespecting his daughter publicly. See, I’m not very good in politics stuff. I’ve seen Al Gore in the entertainment news and shows alot with his documentary movie stuff that I forgot I was talking about John Kerry. Thanks for catching that. I sort of feel stupid now.

This is not the Gallup Poll. This is the Gallup Organization. Who are they? Anyone can create a poll and call people. I saw the survey and took it. They questions were so complicated. You had several choices: would you see this star in a movie? Would you go out of your way to see this star in a movie? I think there were four questions, and I can’t remember them all. But the two I mentioned sort of gives an indication of the type of questions they were asking. I thought it was a silly poll, although I did vote that I would see Angie. Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell was the only person I saw commenting on it. But she doesn’t like Angelina. She is a fan of the X.
On the other site there was a supposed link to a Newsweek article where GC supposedly said something about the X. I think it’s been erased. Do the stars have reps that read blogs for comments that are negative about, and have them removed?

Please stop with your judging of someone you dont know. Angie has said MANY TIMES in interviews that she HAS FORGIVEN her father. She has also said that sadly, she cant have him in her life right now because it isnt healthy. He has really pulled a number on her to the point where she would get stomach pains just being around the man. He isnt the same man apparently in person that he appears to be on Tv begging to see his grandchild(funny, never heard him wanting to see the first two, only the bio one).
She tried to reconcile with him and he failed her…. she has forgiven him and is trying to live a more healthy way. It is sad sometimes that this must happen, but I have known friends who have had similar unhealthy relationships with family… and this sometimes is for the best.

Who neeeds a poll to them who or what to like? Most polls are, in my opinion big fat jokes. Polls may be fun but basically meaningless. An Angelina Jolie movie is about the only movie I would go out of my way to see. I’ve seen Mr. & Mrs. Smith numerous times. I also like Cameron Diaz movies. I haven’t seen a TC movie since Top Gun, and I’ve never seen a Mel Gibson movie. Does anybody here care what I like…not really…same way I feel about polls.
This gallup poll is quite disturbing. first, mel gibson went on a racist-hatefilled rant. second, let’s just say that angelina did have an affair with brad, that is nothing compared to what mel said. so given that, i find it incredibly disturbing that these same people would find nothing wrong with spewing hate about jews but would rather avoid seeing angie’s movies. i think these people should take a good look at themselves. if these people are the same jen fans, then there is something terribly wrong with her fans.

You know when I was in high school I could never wonder why the “popular” girl and her click never seemed to get over the break-up of the “popular” girl and the hottest athlete(usually the football player). This usually happened with cheerleaders. I was a cheerleader and It always confused the hell out of me. It was worse than organic chemistry. At least in organic, there was understanding-this carbon atom attached this way because of this and that attachment created this carbon-based molecule. . . But the effect of the break-up of Brad and Jen and subsequent relationship of Angie and Brad on the “Jennifer” fans is just unbelievable. They must really really take this personal. It is like Dejavu-The click never stopped talking about it. They hated the “new girlfriend” every day, every year and even after we graduated. They could never appreciate the evolution of relationships. At first I found this attitude towards Angelina hilarious and I didn’t take the JA fans or those who “claim” to be JA fans serious-I thought they were writing just to be antagonistic-but either JA and her click are posting over and over or there are some seriously demented ppl out there.
The Jolie-Pitts are people. They put their pants on one leg at a time. They are parents of kids who get sick, have runny noses, wet the bed. . .They obviously are enchanted with one another in such a way as to not care what those who oppose them think. The most important thing however, is that these two ppl are just trying to live life on their terms, help as many ppl as their hearts and finances allow, and raise their family-that’s it. They are not running for student council;Angie is not trying to out cheer the head cheerleader; they do not want to be voted Mr. and Miss Hollywood High school nor are they trying out for Prom King and queen-They are just 2 ppl who live as normal as possible and who are both humbled by little kids who have no idea of their celebrity status. Brad may be a movie star, but he is the poopie diaper changer and the burp master when all is said and done. Angie is truly drop dead gorgeous, but what good is that when you have little baby who screams at the top of her lungs until you comfort her-and a 5 year old who keeps forgetting not to sit on his little sister’s head. Brad’s hotness is only good for paying the salaries of the paps-It has no effect on puke, poop, or little things in little noses-

It all depends on the film. In my opinion. you can be very popular but people hate your film: case in point Leo DiCaprio.
Angie is a woman that takes up challenges. She’s obviously the most interesting actress in Hollywood today. Challenges have made her grow. If she had Hollywood contributing money when she wanted to help refugees (according to her article in Readers Digest), she will probably not be a U.N. ambassador today. She kept pushing for what she believed in. I’m sure 18% not going to see her movies is not going to be a drawback but will make her once again an overcomer because I know she will strive to be better. She has come a long way in the last two years. Many tabloids have drawn up polls between Brad, Angie, Jen and Vince and we know Jen and Vince have won them all but when reality set in, Vince and Jen lost and Brad and Angie are still going strong. I hope fans will go out and see her movies, afterall one-third of her money goes to the poor.

As someone with family members who have eating disorders, I take offense at this new tactic of using an eating disorder as a way of criticizing others. Eating disorders are not to be made light of and should NOT be used to bash anyone. Would you bash anyone who had cancer?
ED, you may complain that you werent bashing, only stating your opinion, perhaps, but i have read many posts on different blogs where eating disorders are seen as being comparable to committing a crime almost.
And just so you know, a person can be fabulous, and a person can have anorexia, but no one is ever fabulously anorexic!

But remember, she fabricated a relationship, as the “are they or arent they a couple ” to generate movie ticket sales. In spite of that, the TBU still grossed less than Mr. and Mrs Smith (MAMS).
Let’s analyze the numbers for the USA market
opening week— TBU 40M
opening week —MAMS 51M
difference — 11M
final domestic gross — TBU 118M
final domestic gross — MAMS 186M
difference — 68M
Looking at the opening week, the difference between TBU and MAMS was 11M. One would think the difference for the final grossing should be around 11M. But the difference is much wider (68M).
What does that tell us?
It means the hype on the movie TBU discipated fast after the opening week and had “no legs”.
Finally, the movie MAMS gross even better overseas. For TBU, despite Jen and Vince travelling to many countries to promote the movie, the gross revenue pale in comparison to MAMS. To look up the exact figure, do a search at google.

For those of you who don’t think AJ is a good actress, don’t go see here movies. I love to watch her in any movie. When you really like an actor you’ll watch anything they are in, it’s that simple. I love Colin Firth and will watch any movie he is in just so I can see him. He so adorable! And, he’s made a dog movie here and there.
I love the range of Angie’s movies, from Life or Something Like It to Gia (AJ was phenomenal in that movie).
Girl Interrupted was so good I totally forgot it was Angie.
Beyond Borders was interesting. I was watching it today and thinking about what was going on her life - she was married to Billie Bob and about to adopt Maddox. She looks so different in that movie.
MMS - that movie so rocked. I couldn’t wait to get the uncensored version. I have watched it so many times. I love it. Especially the music. The mombo song is great. I got both soundtracks for my birthday!!

When you look at the thousands of personality assessments out there, you will find that most talk about a Dominant personality. This is a take charge type of person, the type of person that you want around when there is a fire, because they will make sure that the fire gets put out. They speak in terms of I, My, etc. Oprah is like that as well. CEO’s are like that, in general. People who speak in terms of We and our are High I people. They are Influencers and care what others think about them. Angelina is probably a Dominant personality, ya think?

She is amazingly beautiful, talented and rich. She is “married” to the sexiest man on the planet who also is sweet, talented, loves her and is rich.
It’s got to be hard for a lot of people to relate so they pick on AJ and Brad and tear apart anything they say or do because they feel so insecure about themselves.
I, for one, love who they are, what they do. I can imagine being them. In fact, when I watch their movies, I’m Angelina in the movie!!! Or, if Brad’s in the movie, then I’m his love interest. Man, that totally rocks!!

The Case For Angelina Jolie
Okay, the first thing we have to acknowledge is that the existence of Angelina Jolie has saved us all countless hours of our lives, if only because she definitively eliminates the need to debate the question: who is the sexiest woman alive? Or most beautiful, hottest, most alluring, what have you.
Sure, the Maxims and the Peoples and the VH1s will still carry on this now pointless argument, throwing out their Eva Longorias (what?), Jennifer Lopezes (who?) and Julia Robertses (yeah, right!), as though this topic were still open for discussion. But, really, case closed. Arguing for the supreme sexiness of Eva Longoria in the lifetime of Angelina Jolie is like being a vociferous creationist on the day that a particularly sharp monkey uses an abacus, writes a sonnet, and finally masters the nuances of written Latin. In other words, a tough position.
Because Angelina Jolie is not sexy, exactly; she’s more like what an alien race might concoct from scratch, based on some half-garbled idea of earthly sexiness. But, being an alien race, and not really understanding the usual limitations of humanity, they go a little overboard: the lips, the curves, the smoldering glance. Like, nice try, alien race, but let’s get real.
Why would I lie about that? I like Angie. I couldn’t care less if people in my office would see her movie or not.

NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) — Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, a favorite of the paparazzi and the tabloid press, says she won’t let prying eyes of the media affect her work or her play.
“I made a point to not let it change the way I live my life,” Brad Pitt’s girlfriend said in New York, while promoting “The Good Shepherd,” the new movie about the establishment of the CIA.
“I carefully plan my holidays or where we go or where we stay or things like that to try to ensure some quality of life that’s private and nice for the kids,” she said. “We simply don’t let it affect us.”
Jolie admitted that taking her three youngsters to popular family destinations can prove something of a challenge.
“I’ve had so many offers to take my children to Disneyland and places that I can’t take them, and they don’t understand how upsetting that is. NEW YORK — Mel Gibson’s bloody epic “Apocalypto” debuted as the No. 1 weekend movie, proving the filmmaker still can deliver a winner despite his drunken-driving arrest and anti-Semitic rant last summer.
“Apocalypto,” a Disney release set in the Mayan civilization and told in an obscure Mayan language, opened with $14.2 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.
But “Apocalypto” overcame the baggage of Gibson’s personal troubles as well as its difficult subject matter, which features a no-name cast in a hyper-violent tale that includes beheadings and images of hearts ripped from people’s chests.
“The movie obviously succeeds on its own level. I think people probably are a bit on the surprised side around town that it’s No. 1,” said Chuck Viane, head of distribution for Disney. “Two months ago, nobody would have bet on that.”
Disney reported that Gibson’s “Apocalypto” drew solid crowds across-the-board, with movie-goers equally split between men and women and the core of the audience ranging from 18 to 45.
The publicity over Gibson’s problems and his contriteness since last summer may have stoked interested in “Apocalypto,” said Paul Dergarabedian, president of box-office tracker Media By Numbers.
“Whenever I tell people I saw the movie, they’d be like, `You saw it? How was it?’ There was a huge curiosity factor,” Dergarabedian said. “A movie about Mayan civilization was never destined to be a big hit, let alone a No. 1 movie. But through Disney’s marketing, which highlights Mel Gibson — I believe they associated him very closely with the movie — I think that strategy paid off.”
Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Media By Numbers LLC. Final figures will be released Monday.

In a perfect world, a gorgeous Hollywood actress donates time and money for her humanitarian work, is honored for said work and uses her celebrity to raise consciousness and hope. This being an imperfect world, the presence of Angelina Jolie at any event turns collected sophisticates (especially men) into lovesick adolescents.
Such is the life of a benevolent sex goddess.

Jolie, along with former secretary of state Colin Powell, was honored last night at the Kuwait Embassy for her work with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. The black-tie dinner, hosted by Ambassador Salem Sabah and his wife, Rima, raised more than $1 million to help Iraqi women and children return to their country. The 100 guests, including White House deputy chief of staff Karl Rove, Deputy Defense Secretary Paul Wolfowitz, Supreme Court Justices Antonin Scalia and Anthony Kennedy, Joint Chiefs Chairman Richard Myers, Mayor Tony Williams and emcee Paula Zahn, nibbled on lobster, listened to Marvin Hamlisch and sneaked furtive glances at Jolie.
“She’ll do in a pinch,” teased Ken Duberstein.
The face that launched a thousand fantasies was demure, hair pulled back, with Jolie in a conservative black jacket, shell and fishtail shirt. She was gracious, self-effacing and knowledgeable. And beautiful, in that extravagant way that eclipses everything else.
“I feel like a little kid,” she said before accepting her award. “I’m just in awe how everyone’s speaking from the heart and how everyone really cares.”
The 29-year-old actress was in Washington this week as goodwill ambassador for the UNHCR on a two-day trip that included an appearance at the National Press Club, a lobbying trip to the Hill, the launch of a legal center for refugee children, an interview on “Nightline” and last night’s dinner. Her every move was shadowed by reporters and photographers.
“She is serious about what she does,” Powell said. “They couldn’t have a better goodwill ambassador.”
Or a hotter one, celebrity-wise. (Okay, she was just voted “Sexiest Woman in Hollywood,” if you keep track of that sort of thing. Anyway, she’s hot.) During the hour that Jolie spoke at the press club, camera shutters constantly clicked while she answered questions about international affairs and refugee policies.
“I’m always so nervous answering these questions because I feel I come from a place from my heart and my gut,” she told the audience. In the hands of someone pompous, the whole “star reaching out” persona is off-putting. But Jolie is careful not to speak beyond her experience, or preach and deflects the spotlight to the reason she is there.
“She really cares about the plight of refugees,” said Rima Sabah, who chaired the benefit. “She really wants to help. Every word comes from the heart.”
So in terms of drawing attention to the cause, the good news is Jolie gathers headlines wherever she goes. The bad news is Jolie gathers headlines wherever she goes. The Oscar for Best Supporting Actress at the age of 24 for “Girl, Interrupted.” The “Tomb Raider” movies. The marriage to Billy Bob Thornton. The rift with father Jon Voight. The lips. The tattoos. The “did she or didn’t she?” rumors about Brad Pitt.
Her expressed interest in refugees initially was greeted with raised eyebrows. Her first exposure to the subject came in 2001 while filming in Cambodia (she adopted her 3-year-old son, Maddox, from there).
“It was very clear to me there was a lot about this world that I didn’t know,” she said. “I felt really ashamed and ignorant. . . . It just changed my life.”
She contacted the United Nations and spent almost a year traveling to refugee camps around the world before becoming a goodwill ambassador. She wrote a book about her travels, produced a documentary and recently donated $500,000 to establish the National Center for Refugee and Immigrant Children, which is designed to provide pro bono legal representation for refugees in immigration court. There are plenty of experts on refugee issues but not many who get an invitation from Davos to speak in front of the world’s economic power brokers. The net effect is probably positive, both for the refugees and for Jolie.
“Celebrity is . . . a weird thing,” she told”Nightline,” “and it can feel very empty at the end of the night to think . . . why is anybody giving any attention to — because I made a film? Because I wore a dress to some — it’s silly, and it feels very shallow because you’re aware of how empty it can be. So, when you’re doing something good, and you can bring attention to that or discuss that, then it feels like you have some sense in your life.”

Last night’s dinner was originally planned, sans Jolie, as a benefit by the Kuwait-America Foundation for the 400,000 Iraqi refugees (mostly women and children) registered with UNHCR in Jordan, Saudi Arabia and other countries. Many of their husbands and fathers have returned to Iraq, but their families are waiting until they can rebuild their homes. The UNHCR provides them with cash grants, basic household supplies and transportation back to Iraq.
The force behind the night, noted a number of speakers, was Rima Sabah. “She’s driven us all crazy,” teased Powell. “I can only handle Rima once a year.”
Sabah assembled an impressive guest list — White House social secretary Lea Berman, Esther Coopersmith, Reps. John Dingell and Ed Markey, Joint Chiefs Vice Chairman Peter Pace and Molly Raiser, head of the United States Association for UNHCR, rounded out the crowd — and raised $1 million from underwriters ChevronTexaco and Dow Chemical, and sponsors including Boeing, ExxonMobil, Occidental Petroleum, ConocoPhillips, General Motors, Kuwait Petroleum and the Kuwait Embassy.
“Kuwaitis, like Iraqis, have experienced firsthand the brutality of Saddam’s regime, and victims help each other,” said Rima Sabah. “By helping Iraqi refugees return to their homeland, we are contributing to a more promising future for Iraq.”
The embassy was filled with roses and candles, some of which floated in the fountain inside. The menu included lobster, risotto with white truffles, leg of lamb and baked Alaska. Hamlisch performed with the Master Chorale of Washington and the Children’s Chorus of Washington.
Everyone went home feeling charitable and noble and warm — “I am leaving here with my heart really full,” Zahn said. And they knew the first question they’d hear today is, “What did Jolie look like?”

I do feel bad that THEY can’t take the kids Trick or Treating or to Disneyland, though. They could always send them with the nanny or Holly, but it’s just not the same as being there themselves. Maybe when the kids are a little older and the furor over their relationship has died down they’ll get to do some of those family-type things. Meanwhile…I can’t go to Namibia or India at the drop of a hat…so I’m not feeling THAT bad for them!

Hey, I’m sorry if I came on too strong, but I’m just asking because like you’ve mentioned, if she’s never represented their feminine ideals, I doubt they’ve ever gone to see any of her movies.
See, like for me, up till last year I wasn’t really crazy about any celebrities. I went and watched an interesting movie and that was it. There was no “this actress is better than that one” for me because all I cared about was if they were interesting in the movie. Then the breakup of the decade happened and it was talked about everywhere and I became interested in who these three people were. My mom and I were obsessed with the magazines and read believing whatever they wrote. Then, I came online to learn more about Angie because there was something about her that I identified with, and I just never believe there are “perfect” people the way the media tried to make JA appear. I tend to like the imperfect ones like myself. I had never seen any of her movies before and I’m in the process of watching her earlier ones. In her past interviews she said how she felt sometimes she felt lost and I feel that way sometimes. She became a mom at 25, 26 and I’m 25 and think that is such a huge responsibility for me. I’ve learned from her that you can do anything you set your mind to do, the woman is a pilot for pete’s sake. My mom also likes her although she’s never seen her movies either and probably wouldn’t see them because the only movies she likes are comedies.

Jolie living life her way, despite media
NEW YORK, Dec. 10 (UPI) — Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie, a favorite of the paparazzi and the tabloid press, says she won’t let prying eyes of the media affect her work or her play.
“I made a point to not let it change the way I live my life,” Brad Pitt’s girlfriend said in New York, while promoting “The Good Shepherd,” the new movie about the establishment of the CIA.
“I carefully plan my holidays or where we go or where we stay or things like that to try to ensure some quality of life that’s private and nice for the kids,” she said. “We simply don’t let it affect us.”
Jolie admitted that taking her three youngsters to popular family destinations can prove something of a challenge.
“I’ve had so many offers to take my children to Disneyland and places that I can’t take them, and they don’t understand how upsetting that is. Taking my kids trick-or-treating or things, they assume I can’t do — so we plan to find ways to do all of those things. There are worse problems, so we’re OK.”
Asked if she plans to act again with Pitt — her co-star in the 2005 movie, “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” — Jolie laughed, “Who’s going to watch the children?”

Angie gets it right: Her first interest is in having a fabulous life with a happy family. Neither she nor Brad really care about fame and acting-they have had plenty-and they’re already very wealthy. They’re set for life even if they never work as of today.
When they do work, they are beloved by everyone because of their great work ethic and their friendliness.
Even though they don’t pine after fame and roles, they’re flooded with projects-QUALITY PROJECTS. Brad has said it years ago that he’s horizons extend past movies, that there’s much more to life. Angie has said the same thing.
Both Angie and Brad have their priorities set very straight:
Each other
Their kids
A big family
An interesting life
Helping others
Movies
all of the WEs are her and the childrens
she is all about the Is and the MEs

I do feel bad that THEY can’t take the kids Trick or Treating or to Disneyland, though. They could always send them with the nanny or Holly, but it’s just not the same as being there themselves. Maybe when the kids are a little older and the furor over their relationship has died down they’ll get to do some of those family-type things. Meanwhile…I can’t go to Namibia or India at the drop of a hat…so I’m not feeling THAT bad for them!

I totally agree. The children are still young. Missing out on disneyland and trick or treat for a couple years are NOT such a big deal. I’m sure this photog thing will die down. When the children are older, they will understand instructions better and would be easier for them on security. Whatever they are missing now can be made up on other things. One can always improvise. With Brad on board, I have confidence on him. I always feel that he’s a good planner.

That is true. Heck, the guy might have done some crazy ass things over the past 2 years but he is still a big box office draw and I love watching him in movies. I can’t help it, I love action movies and to me and alot of my friends (even the ones who don’t like him but go see his movies), he’s the ultimate action guy.

These haters are really reaching. They act like this scenerio is unusual. In recent years, men are taking a more active role in their children’s upbringing. Hell, some companies even have paternity leaves to accommodate this shift. And since Brad has major bank, there isn’t a finite time limit for him to be with his kids.
And for the record, my dad ‘babysat’ me, my fraternal twin, and my brother when we were babies/toddlers and my mother took over when he needed to get some sleep for his graveyard shift at GM; that was 30+ years ago.
These poll does not mean anything. The Tom Cruise bashing is losing steam anyway, because it is so ridiculous. Even last year his movies made a lot of money, trying to bring him down, those people should try harder.

The poll cannot prove and state any facts. Basically it says nothing. Since it’s a servey from about 1000 people. Does it represent a public opinion? No, it represent nothing. In a statitical term, the sample size, 1003 people, is not suffient enough to prove anything. However, if you want to fool people, it would become usefull to confuse people. You know what’s funny is that I always thought Brad was always too nice. His fault lies in that he’s unbelievably nice to people who have cast stones at him in public.
Even after the Vanity Fair article, Brad went up to Courtney Cox in a hotel and offered to buy her drink. He refused but never publicly badmouthed her.
During the worst of times, he’s always kept his mouth quite and refused to fall into the trap of responding to the people who provoked him. He has never badmouthed Jennifer to this day even though her fans spew vindicitve comments about his kids and about his love, Angie. NOT ONE BAD WORD.
Behind the scenes, when Jennifer was promoting Rumor Has It, she mentioned that she talked to Brad on the phone. She said everything was peaceful and nice.
I thought Brad was way too nice to her and thought he still talked to her once in a while.
That’s why the Jen Hens kept clucking about Brad going to her. So did the tabliods. Because everyone knew that he was so nice that he must have kept in touch with her.
But my opinion changed after last night’s brouhaha. Brad’s is a really nice up to point but up to a certain point. He won’t badmouth people who have hurt but he will cut them out of his life. I think that’s what he did when it comes to Jen. He cut her off from his life and he has started a new chapter in his life with Angie. That’s what gets to Jen’s fans and Jen too. Brad ignores all of her futile attempts to provoke him into responding to her childish attempts at gaining attention.
When his publicist was asked if Brad had a comment about Jen and Vince’s breakup, she responded by saying “No! Why would he?”
Jen’s friend Lee mentioned that Brad barely acknowledges her anymore. He never even brought her in the Esquire interview and all during the Babel promotional tour, Brad only talked about his kids with Angie. It’s like he didn’t have life before Angie and the kids came into his lives.
So Brad has cut off Jen from his new life and it’s time Jen’s fan and even her friends recognize that. He’s done with her. To hate some is to care enough about a person to have any sort of feelings about them. Brad doesn’t care enough to hate. He’s moved on and he’s not going back to Jennifer.
I suggest both sides stop and think about that.

We take turns, so I’m with the kids,” Jolie said Sunday of their method of balancing schedules, which will keep her away from moviemaking in coming weeks. She has one more day of shooting A Mighty Heart, the story of Mariane Pearl, widow of journalist Daniel Pearl. Pitt is currently filming The Curious Case of Benjamin Buttons in New Orleans.
The actor broke away for personal time on Thursday, when Jolie arranged for the couple to have a private tour of Fallingwater, Frank Lloyd Wright’s architectural masterpiece in Mill Run, Pa. “Brad is a student of great architecture,” Jolie said. They toured the home for two hours, followed by a birthday celebration in Fallingwater’s living room. Pitt turns 43 on Dec. 18.
Looks like angelina it’s not doing late night shows, Matt Damon will do Letterman on monday and Robert DeNiro will do Leno on the 19.

Passing through, the people who come on line and post that Brad is nothing but a glorified baby sitter are projecting their own values. Being a celebrity makes you a blank screen on which you project your own fantasies. Some of us have positive fantasies. Others prefer to project their negative stuff.
My guess is, whiners who say, oh Brad is the baby sitter – like some one who is dumped with the chore of looking after the kids, would:
(a) feel as if they are the ones who are dumped with the chore of taking care, baby sitting the children, when their partners go off to work or do something on their own without them and they have to stay to mind their kids; or

It is apparently (and sadly) inconceivable to them that a parent may enjoy the time he/she gets to spend with the children and does not regard it as a chore, and enjoys the time he/she gets to work and not regard it as a chore too. That a parent may enjoy his or her life, with a housefull of kids and yet really relish the times when its just with his or her partner or is completely alone for a few hours. You actually appreciate the contrasts in your day. Somehow, you actually live life more fully.

I am with anyone who says this is unacceptable, considering all the support we as BAMZS fans give you Jared.
Not only is JJ advertising a bogus poll, SPUN to deliberately malign Jolie (and as you all know, I have a good feeling who commissioned such a poll RIGHT when TGS is releasing…THAT is NO COINCIDENCE) —
– but it is taking a story that was really NOT on the broader radar, and THAT IS ALREADY 4 days old…and dying….and it is GIVING IT NEW LIFE….JUST JARED is sending it out to the web a KAJILLION TIMES more so that it IS a bigger story than it is…
Way to screw over the people that support your **** Jared, as well as Angelina Jolie!
So yes. JUST JARED is culpable in maligning Angelina Jolie, at god knows who’s behest (I’ve written Gallup - yesterday — just to find out who commissioned this poll) - she doesn’t deserve this sh*t, and neither do we HER FANS, and this family’s supporters, who have not only supported them through all the bullshit they’ve weathered….
BUT WE’VE SUPPORTERD *YOU* JARED — and I have to say after this backstabbing move, I am DONE. I mean what does it matter how many cool pics you put up, and how frequent, when you’re culpable in trying to take the woman down?!
Frankly it makes no sense…if the poll were true, or if the poll IS MADE TRUE because web sites like yours are posting it up as if it is true, and carries weight (…AND YOU KNOW AS WELL AS WE ALL DO JARED THE MORE SOMETHING IS IN THE PUBLIC, THE MORE THE FRAME OF REFERENCE BECOMES ‘ANGELINA IS DAMAGED,’ IS ‘UNLIKED,’ IS ‘AVOIDED’ - THEN IT CAN INDEED BECOME A REALITY EVEN IF THE STORY IS BULLSH*T — YOU KNOW this JARED!!).
