OlderMoviegoers Avoid Angelina Jolie?
Not likely but The Gallup Organization, a supposedly widely recognized barometer of American opinion (I’ve never heard of it), recently conducted a survey asking Americans “whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers.”
Americans gave Tom Cruise a giant “thumbs down” clocking in at 34 percent. Angelina Jolie came in at a distant second, with 18 percent of Americans saying they avoid seeing her movies. That’s 180 out of 1003 votes.
Who received the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll? Tom Hanks! Two of his most recent films include The Da Vinci Code and The Terminal.
Pictures include Angelina Jolie recently leaving her NYC midtown hotel (supposedly The Regency Hotel at Park and 61st).

hi I’m new, I usually just read the posts and get pissed at the ugly spirited X fans. If they come IGNORE THEM!! They feed off of rebuttals. Let them just roll off your backs, the more they talk, the more idiotic they sound. Just a suggestion from a newbie.

I’m sure Angie is very crushed by this news. The opinions of 180 out of 1003 must really devastate her. She will be committing suicide shortly…

But PT, the movie was called almost everywhere as “Mel Gibson’s Apocalypto” so it is his movie even if he’s not starring in it. For me, I actually liked that it was number one because he went through a lot this summer.

For me i would rather see beautiful people in movies. I don’t want to see ugly people. that’s why I havent seen any of Aniston’s movies.

Is this the poll that said that made me think Al Gore had a better chance at beating Bush in the 2004 elections? I remember watching the news channels during that time and since I liked Gore, I was happy that the polls were favoring him only to be disappointed on election night when things went topsy-turvy and we all know what happened next.
I have never read or seen anything about this Poll until this blog. I was not asked my opinion and this is not a presidential Gallup Poll. It is subjective and people can make up their minds whether to see a Movie or not. I do not base my purchasing power on some small sample poll but the body of the person’s work. AJ has received numerous awards for her work, has a large international and national fan base and a good humanitarian. That is good enough for me.

Oh Yeah I tink this gallup poll will really crush Aj/ So much so that this week she is in NY with her husband and children to celebrate one movie opening, she is being honored as part of the most fascinating couple of the year, her husband is two time sexiest man alive and has a magazine coming out that is well anticipated. So yes I’m sure this is going to crush her to have a pity party or even go and scream at the ocean. I think she may get her girlfriends to batmouth the gallup pole so she does not look like the bad guy.

Actually, if someone could post the entire poll with it’s different questions, you get a different feel for what the respondents actually said.
When you align all the questions up, more people will g0 and see and a movie with Angelina in it because she’s in it.
But, the negative gets them ink. It’s what the press does.

About the poll … I wouldn’t avoid a movie for an actor, I think it’s all about the plot and stuff!I’ve seen movies with Angelin that are good and ones that aren’t!

Well, I do watch all Toms movies and enjoy them. I like Angilina’s dedication to her causes, but now that I think about it, I’ve never like any of her movies. Has she been in a good one?
Why is that phrased that way Jared? If Jolie is so unpopular then why is she on the cover of everything and her youtbe videos have so much circulation. Everyone knows that the Oscars will get an audience if she attends. The ugly soccer moms need to get in touch with their jealously and shut their traps. They are just mad that their husbands, sons and daughters are salivating over Jolie and that their idols career is over. X is orange now btw.
