Moviegoers Avoid Angelina Jolie?
Not likely but The Gallup Organization, a supposedly widely recognized barometer of American opinion (I’ve never heard of it), recently conducted a survey asking Americans “whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers.”
Americans gave Tom Cruise a giant “thumbs down” clocking in at 34 percent. Angelina Jolie came in at a distant second, with 18 percent of Americans saying they avoid seeing her movies. That’s 180 out of 1003 votes.
Who received the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll? Tom Hanks! Two of his most recent films include The Da Vinci Code and The Terminal.
Pictures include Angelina Jolie recently leaving her NYC midtown hotel (supposedly The Regency Hotel at Park and 61st).

Don’t think I’ll be reading the comments on PH website again! The comments on there were an insult to my intelligence! There are defintely some crazy folk on there…
My allegiance will always be with Jared. GO JARED!
Now I think I understand why Angie try not to smile, no facial expresion on her face, and walk behind Brad. We only see pictures but when you see the video the flashes and taking pictures and guys also say things to Angie - in this case one guy is keep on saying ‘Angeilina we love you baby’. I think people have this sexy images of her and they mgiht say things to her - if you look at her recent pictures she now walks behind of Brad when it is only two of them.
this is for that eckin poster named ED!angie always wear coat lately, b/cos its cold and shes pregnant!brad is begging for another baby to the most gorgeous woman alived!!you dawnmit!(love my spell.)
She looks great in the pics of the photocall, the video is crazy, a lot of flashes.
Good morning BAMZS fans.
Today’s the day, we get to see Angelina the Star. She wears so many hats, quite beautifully I might add.
We shouldn’t spend so much energy being defensive. We are out of the weeds as far as the negativity goes. There was a time when we as fans took a beating, but those days are finally behind us. We’ve stood firm in our support for them in the dark days and now the sun is shining on them.
As we see from Apocolypto’s showing at the box office, a celebrity’s personal life has nothing to do with filling the seats in a theater. The are so many other factors in the equation. Some movies are blockbusters with bad actors, directors and plots.
Brad and Angelina don’t concern themselves with that kind of mentality, we shouldn’t either. They make money at everything they do, and then they give to the ones in most desperate need.
The haters will interpret everything they do in a negative way. We shouldn’t get torn up by these things. They are the most popular couple in the world.
Those that maligned them two years ago, now applaud them. Those that felt pity for “the woman scorned” now realize that they were duped. Only her most zealous die-hard fans don’t acknowledge her duplicity.
Brad and Angelina have so much to be grateful for and so do we.
Celebrate the wonder
Well let’s see we have the couch jumper and the husband snatcher on the bottom of the list
LOVE IT
But we Europeans LOVE Angelina Jolie and her movies. She should move to England or France or Germany.

She is well-loved in Asia as well and the world over.
Sometimes I wonder whether there is relationship between how the world perceives America and Jolie; and how America sees the world and Jolie;
Hmmmm… this is a good study.

ITA with the part about her forgiving her father. That’s not to say that he was not out of line, but come on could you imagine you child dismissing you for being imperfect? I really adore Angie. I have since I first saw Gia. The mother in me would love to be able to go to Angie and say, “Angie, man will fail you every time. Sure your father has hurt you but he is still your father. Would you have your children to learn that forgiveness is not part of the equation if one of their parents makes a mistake? I’m sure that John did not plan to be a jacked up father and he is not the only one.”
As beautiful as AJ is inside and out I will not say that it touches me on another level when I see that she has not found a way to reconcile with her father. I hope to see her and BP together for always but if they are not will she teach the children to be unforgiving from that point on? BP appears to be a doting dad and I know that the scenarios are very different but there are ‘curses’ in families and estranged parents are very prevelant in today’s society.
I speak from personal experience with my own father and some would say that they would understand if I did not forgive my father for choosing his younger wife and her child over the rest of us. But you know what, blood ws shed on Mt. Calvary not just for me but for my father as well. I chose to forgive and leave the past in the past. I am happy to say that through the years we have become close again. (my other siblings do not agree with me) Sometimes when I speak with him I want to hold him close because I know he now suffers the pain of his past mistakes and he knows not how to make it right.
Well that’s my 2 cents and for the record…

Aimee, I do not speak from my rear end as I am made in the likeness of my God. We are all really speculating and piecing together facts here and there so technically the only ones that really knows are the ones involved no matter how much of a devoted fan you are.
Stop attacking fellow fans
Hello BAMZSters, so what’s up with this poll? Imo, a really representative poll asks at least 10 000 people. And about Gallup: well, here in our country, the Gallup branch sucks: they predicted that the Conservatives would win here at the national election, and the opposite happened – two times in a row. So i don’t really care about Gallup and their polls. They mean NOTHING.
I can’t see the new pics of Brad and Angie where they are holding hands, and my life ins not complete if i don’t see it asap lol. Does someone has another link to those pics?

Angelina has definatly a sad look on her face in those pictures.
Anyway because of this poll, I got to see a comment here that led me to a link where someone had post a link to the site of SGI Women for peace, just to show a photo of Mariane Pearl.I was stunned!! For the first time I got to know that Mariane Pearl is a Nichiren’s Buddhist and member of the same organization I am a proud member as well! I guess she has kept a low profile on her faith but yet that is the reason why she revealed the buddha spirit, whote the book ‘A Mighty Heart…’ and is now having her life on film! Angelina is the one who get’s the honer to have the opportunity to portrait such a strong devoter of the Lotus Sutra teatchings! If I was interested in seeing this movie before now I’ll help promoting it and can hardly wait for it’s arrival on the movie theaters!
Angelina is a beautiful lady with a big heart. Brad Pitt saw what this lady is made of and that is why he is keeping her for good.
Jared, I’m surprised you’ve never heard of the Gallup Poll. It’s been around a long time but it does not serve only the entertainment industry. Polls can be small but still reliable depending on whether the sampling was representative. But I do not trust this result.

Listen girl (or boy), you should read my posts again because there is a big misunderstanding on your part.(and again this isn´t meant to sound offending!!!this thing seriously needs some emocoms)
I said that Angie is nice and all that- BUT - in most of her pics she seems stuck-up.
On the news they always show her in a bad light, and only show pics of her in which she seems to be angry at someone……and that´s what the avarage people see.
That´s why she´s not that popular.

A STAR IS YAWN
THERE are times you’ll be watching someone in a movie and you can’t help but wonder “how can this person still be considered a star?” Here are 10 big names which should be smaller than they currently are:
ROBERT DE NIRO: Used to be one of the greats. Now one of the grating. Sole shot of salvation is a reunion with director Martin Scorsese.
HILARY SWANK: The most mercurial box-office draw of the modern age. When she’s good, she wins an Oscar. When she’s not, she’s lucky to be getting paid.
JIM CARREY: Has spent most of the decade proving he can be a serious actor. The fanbase he built on crowd-pleasing comedies couldn’t care less. Will they still be there when he finally lightens up?
JULIA ROBERTS: Hasn’t reported for live-action film duty in almost four years.
HARRISON FORD: Would have retired yonks ago if not for the faint sniff of another Indiana Jones movie. Now that it’s really going to happen, it’s time this old Ford finally revved up.
DREW BARRYMORE: A good performance for her is when you fail to notice she can barely act at all. Her past few films have really found her out.
ORLANDO BLOOM: The ultimate pretty-boy passenger in a variety of big-budget vehicles. Tried only the once as a solo leading man (2005’s Elizabethtown) and tanked abysmally.
NICOLE KIDMAN: No sense of quality control. Audiences have never fully warmed to her. And yet, she’s still the busiest actor in world cinema today.
EWAN McGREGOR: This one-time Mr Consistency seems to have gone completely off the boil since he grew a beard for Star Wars.
ANGELINA JOLIE: If Paris Hilton wasn’t around, she’d be the one everybody would identify as being famous for being famous.
