Moviegoers Avoid Angelina Jolie?
Not likely but The Gallup Organization, a supposedly widely recognized barometer of American opinion (I’ve never heard of it), recently conducted a survey asking Americans “whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers.”
Americans gave Tom Cruise a giant “thumbs down” clocking in at 34 percent. Angelina Jolie came in at a distant second, with 18 percent of Americans saying they avoid seeing her movies. That’s 180 out of 1003 votes.
Who received the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll? Tom Hanks! Two of his most recent films include The Da Vinci Code and The Terminal.
Pictures include Angelina Jolie recently leaving her NYC midtown hotel (supposedly The Regency Hotel at Park and 61st).

Reconcile with her father? Her father? The man who publicly says how sorry he is for everything and wants to meet his grandchildren to the whole world but when his GOOD FRIEND Donald Trump goes on national TV on Larry King Live and basically calls his daughter all sorts of names, he does not have a response? That father? That’s the father you want her to let near her children? The one who can’t even tell his friends to stop disrespecting his daughter publicly. If that’s the kind of father you would like to have, you’re welcome to him but don’t expect Angie to want that for herself or her children. I have known people who have not been close with their parents and sometimes it’s not a crime because there is a very good reason for that. If you have somebody in your life who is supposed to be one of your stongest cheerleaders but somehow most of the time ends up making you feel terrible about yourself, why would you want that person in your life? Yes, people think that since she is such a strong person that she should can everything thrown at her and it might be true for the most part, but when the person she expects to be in her corner is among the people throwing stones at her, she might just be vulnerable enough to feel some real hurt inside.

If she is indeed, sincere in bringing up a loving family of mixed ethnicities, background and heritage, the first step that she should take is reconciling with her own father — another evidence of her contradictory behavior, dare I say, charity should begin “at home.”

Too bad JV didn’t think of that. Ya know, when he was bringing his mistresses home to screw on the couch when Angelina’s mom was pregnant.
What daughter wouldn’t love a father like that?
Yeah. 82% of moviegoers will go to see the Good Shepherd with Angelina and Matt Damon. Thanks HUVANE AND MANISTON. Take away the question mark, and you have the heading saying Moviegoers, avoid Angelina’s Movies. They are telling us to avoid this movie. BS. I WILL SEE THIS MOVIE !!! Why wasn’t “no acting” Jennifer Aniston name in this poll? BAMZ fans, please go and see the movie. Huvane and Jennifer Aniston peeps hate Angie so much because they see that Brad and Angie are truly in love. They are in denial. They thought Brad made a mistake, and Brad and Angie would have broken up by now. What do you call the last 4 movie Maniston made? BOMBS. Nice try haters. You will not SABOTAGE this movie! Look at Mel GIbson new movie! Angelina rocks. 82% likes Angelina

Too bad Winona Ryder didn’t win the Oscar. Everything is subjective. People have their own opinions and their is nothing wrong with that. I have heard of the Gallup Poll, but as I stated, I have not seen or read anything about this particular poll.
I don’t like all the Stars’ Movies out there but I am a fan of AJ. I will support her in her movies.
Great news about Babel. It was a good movie and so far it is on a number of Top Ten best.
Big thumbs down for Tom Cruise please, at height of is unpopularity is movies pass the 100 millions marks. This only, should shut up a lot of people. And for Angie i can not wait for the good shepard.
Hey all you people who says Angie is not in any good movie: you forget that Angelina’s legendary myth or cult following does not depend on her movies but lies solely on her phenomenal persona and charisma.
Yes to Angelina. I love her in all her movies just because I get to see her.

The National Board Review’s top 10 films, in alphabetical order:
Babel, Blood Diamond, The Departed, The Devil Wears Prada, Flags of Our Fathers, The History Boys, Letters From Iowa Jima, Little Miss Sunshine, Notes On A Scandal, and The Painted Veil.
BAMZS fans, I implore you…
Don’t take this out on Jared. I mean, he has supplied us with plenty of BAMZS threads with glorious pictures. Don’t forget that.
And to be fair, he did write ‘Not Likely’ immediately after the headline. This can be construed as counterprogramming; after all, we’re getting TMF, Angelina’s press junkets, Vogue magazine, and possible red carpet appearences during awards season. This b*ll$hit story can’t deflate anything. This isn’t even a ‘glass half empty’ story. If anything, it’s a ‘glass a tenth empty’ story. Weak-minded people dwell on the missing tenth instead of partaking the nine-tenths that’s in front of them.
We’ve seen a fine demonstration of that contingent over the last few days. Don’t become one of them.
JV has NEVER been a father to Angelina. he was a sperm donor that is all
a father is there for his kids….not just popping in every year or so for a day or so. and a father doesnt humiliate his child in the press or try and cause her harm the way he did by nearly destroying her adoption plans with Maddox.
A real father doesnt air the dirty laundry in tv.. instead of dealing with his child in private.
Angie tried to make things work with her father…. she has forgiven him and does not hate him she said… but it is not healthy for her to have him in her life. I respect her decision because SHE is the one who is living her life and knows what is best for HERSELF and her family.

See, I’m not very good in politics stuff. I’ve seen Al Gore in the entertainment news and shows alot with his documentary movie stuff that I forgot I was talking about John Kerry. Thanks for catching that. I sort of feel stupid now.
The poll is stupid!
Who care!!!
I gotta say…the only movie I remember her in was the one w/Antonio Banderas. And that was b/c of Antonio.
I love this site!!! It is never boring. Oh well, back to the chores. Monday comes too soon.
This is not the Gallup Poll. This is the Gallup Organization. Who are they? Anyone can create a poll and call people. I saw the survey and took it. They questions were so complicated. You had several choices: would you see this star in a movie? Would you go out of your way to see this star in a movie? I think there were four questions, and I can’t remember them all. But the two I mentioned sort of gives an indication of the type of questions they were asking. I thought it was a silly poll, although I did vote that I would see Angie. Access Hollywood’s Nancy O’Dell was the only person I saw commenting on it. But she doesn’t like Angelina. She is a fan of the X.
On the other site there was a supposed link to a Newsweek article where GC supposedly said something about the X. I think it’s been erased. Do the stars have reps that read blogs for comments that are negative about, and have them removed?
Civilized,
Civilized? Yeah, right. You don’t know current state of Angelina’s relationship with her father. Life is full of the contradictions of which you are referring. C’est la vie. What could be more contradicting than Yoga versus smoking like a chimmney? Life is a process to be improved or worsened. Being judgemental about things you don’t know as opposed to living and let live is in my opinion is uncivilized and unnecessary.

Yeah, fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.
Angelina has given her father many chances and he’s blown them each and every time.
And don’t spout your Bible thumping at me.
And eye for an eye.

Maybe you should take that advice yourself before you cast a stone on Angelina for not keeping in touch with her father.
You should not judge her if you don’t want to be judged either. If she doesn’t want to get married, that her perrogative.
Who are these people Huvaniston have hired with the grade school spelling abilities? What are they working for food? Just asking.
