OlderMoviegoers Avoid Angelina Jolie?
Not likely but The Gallup Organization, a supposedly widely recognized barometer of American opinion (I’ve never heard of it), recently conducted a survey asking Americans “whether or not they make a special effort to see movies starring 13 different Hollywood A-listers.”
Americans gave Tom Cruise a giant “thumbs down” clocking in at 34 percent. Angelina Jolie came in at a distant second, with 18 percent of Americans saying they avoid seeing her movies. That’s 180 out of 1003 votes.
Who received the most positive reaction of any of the stars in the poll? Tom Hanks! Two of his most recent films include The Da Vinci Code and The Terminal.
Pictures include Angelina Jolie recently leaving her NYC midtown hotel (supposedly The Regency Hotel at Park and 61st).

I just have to say it is quite pathetic that a poll of 1003 can have people “getting off “because %18 of the people said they would most likely not see a Jolie film.Please, Jen was winning polls last year left and right and STILL had 3 Bombs in a row.If it wasn’t for Vince Vaughn TBU would have been a bomb to!What is Jen’s next movie?SHE DOESN”T HAVE ONE!2 years in Jan and Jen and also her so-call fan’s(I mean the one who will claim her,since most of you deny to be fan’s in the first place)still can’t let go of the past.A mentally heathly person really should be able to put this behind them,remember this is a celebrity break-up.Not your own!

HAHAHAHA, are people taking this seriously? This is about accurate as that poll that said Jen and Vince would last way longer than Brad and Angelina and we all know what happened with that.
Remember how the tabliods printed a story about Brad leaving Angelina every other weak? Remember about the big fights they were supposedley having?
Remember the rumors about Jen and Vince? The engagement on the plane? The $8 million dollar wedding? Jennifer getting pregnant within a year? Vince’s mom loving Jen? Vince being way better than Brad? Um, what happened again?
Vince in budhapest with 20 year college girl and Jen keeping up the charade on Oprah.
Ladies…THIS is the type of lies that the tabliods have been feeding you. WAKE UP.

mark my words, that “marianne pearl” movie will definitely be a bomb since Angelina is the lead character and the rest of the cast are not well known. I’m not sure about the good shepherd since Derino and Damon are leads in this movie, so it has a 50/50 chance of success.

The gallup poll is conducted for Americans, not for Japanese, not for French, not for Germans …
The Japanese, French, Germans, Spanish, British, etc. will watch her films, as long as they are good films; and 88% of Americans will also consider watching her movies.
Just a reminder … Mr. and Mrs. Smith grossed nearly $500 million world-wide.
Latest on Babel boxoffice:
Domestic: $17,607,000 46.8%
Foreign: $20,049,448 53.2% (weekend estimates not yet included)
Worldwide: $37,656,448
Assuming a budget of $20 million and that only half (50%) of the boxoffice gross goes to the studio, BABEL just needs just about $2.4 million to break-even. From thereon, BABEL will trek the road to profitability … this will happen next weekend.

Of course you pick a movieYou know, this movie will just be like Babel is and yes, it probably most likely won’t do as well as big blockbuster type movies but as long as Angie and Brad feel that the message they were trying to portray has been reached, that is what will make them happy.
Haven’t alot of people come on here to tell us that The Good Shepherd was supposed to bomb? But I see you are now changing your tune by saying that because of other actors it might not. Interesting.

Can you peeps imagine living a life like Fraudiston, to let your exes’ life own you? It must be quite sad. You can’t do anything without thinking about your ex. 180 is like a fish boat next to Titanic compeared with 1003 people and let alone the 6 billion population on this planet.
And if 18% of the people would avoid her movies then that leads to the 82% of people will go and see her movies.

It all depends on the film. In my opinion. you can be very popular but people hate your film: case in point Leo DiCaprio.
Angie is a woman that takes up challenges. She’s obviously the most interesting actress in Hollywood today. Challenges have made her grow. If she had Hollywood contributing money when she wanted to help refugees (according to her article in Readers Digest), she will probably not be a U.N. ambassador today. She kept pushing for what she believed in. I’m sure 18% not going to see her movies is not going to be a drawback but will make her once again an overcomer because I know she will strive to be better. She has come a long way in the last two years. Many tabloids have drawn up polls between Brad, Angie, Jen and Vince and we know Jen and Vince have won them all but when reality set in, Vince and Jen lost and Brad and Angie are still going strong. I hope fans will go out and see her movies, afterall one-third of her money goes to the poor.
