OlderAngelina Jolie on ‘Larry King’
Angelina Jolie will be on Larry King Live this Monday with The Good Shepherd co-star Matt Damon and director Robert De Niro. Here’s a little preview:
Larry King:: Are you gonna get married?
Angelina Jolie :: No…
LK :: I wish you lots of luck. Someone said you’re planning a Christmas wedding in South Africa.
AJ :: [giggles] No… but thank you for your support if I was. But I’m not.LK :: You sold the pictures of your baby, right?
AJ :: We did for charity, yes.
LK :: Oh, it went to charity? And the money?
AJ :: Yeah. [The paparazzi] were gonna get that picture. They’re gonna get pictures of my kids unfortunately no matter what we do, so we chose to control it and give the money to charity and not paparazzi.
Angelina also addressed how Brad and she will handle raising kids as movie stars: “As we get older, maybe we’ll do less films. We’ll be less focused on [films] as our children hit their early teens or at times when it’s really, really on them. So this hopefully is as bad as it’s going to get for us. And we don’t raise our kids in Hollywood. They don’t go to sets every day. They travel the world and do many, many other things. So hopefully they don’t think this is just what their parents do for a living. They know many other things about who we are. … They’re restricted by they have a lot of other blessings. And like every parent, you just do the best you can with whichever situation you have.”

Lol, you guys are freaking out over nothing. People, PEOPLE, calm down. As far as the haters, since when does Brad being friends with Angie during MAMS equal an emotional affair??? Isn’t it normal to befriend your coworkers? Brad was really good friends with Julia Roberts when they filmed The Mexican, so was that an emotional affair? Geezuz, Angie said HERSELF that they both didn’t think they would be anything more than friends until THE VERY END of the shoot, which was weeks before the June premiere, AFTER the divorce. Even if they did have crushes on eachother before, they kept it to themselves. Angie’s quote “as far as I knew he was with his best friend and they loved eachother” POINTS OUT the fact that she knew nothing about Brad and Jen’s problems and assumed everything was fine. Which MEANS, they both had no intention to hook up and made no plans to hookup like people are reading into from her quotes. How the hell anyone can read any kind of affair, emotional or sexual into that is beyond me.
The fact is, people who want to think Brad and Angie cheated will stay that way no matter what. Fine. Who really cares anyways? It’s not bothering Brad and Angelina an inch so let them think what they want. The press is just doing it’s job, sensationalizing things and making it out to be more scandalous. People shouldn’t get so emotional over that stuff.

Re: ovarian cancer.
It can be cured easily nowadays.Just with a quick sergury to remove them.My aunt had the same type of cancer and now she is strong and healthy.I wish the best to Marchelline.She is a very sweet woman.
You know, I’m watching this tupid game show, ‘Show Me the Money,’ and they just had a preview of the Diane Sawyer Interview w/ DeNiro, Damon, and Angelina. Angelina and Damon are shown in one clip, and I really do hope I heard Diane Sawyer incorrectly, but I think she ACTUALLY had the audacity to ask, ‘What’s the difference between kissing Matt and kissing Brad on-set?” They don’t show what they answer, but people are smiling/laughing and Matt smacks his head. Now, is that a set-up or what? I mean if she says No diff, she’s safe…but it kind of means she felt nada for Brad…if she says there was a diff, then the **** will most def hit the fan because she’s admitting to FEELINGS for Brad pre-split. I am having a hard time believing Sawyer would be such an obvious sh*t…that would just be an incredible and tacky broach..ugh.
I am really HOPING, that I heard wrong. Did anyone here or see it?

The above ‘perception’ though is wrong, these women don’t REALLY consider Brad a traitor…they might give lip-service to not liking him now, but it’s the kind of anger reserved for a favorite son or a brother that’s been mischievous…the hatred, Angelina gets…she bears the brunt of most of it.
Cliniqua: and you are correct, most of the criticism and buggaboo about this couple comes from women. Women in general are much more forgiving to men than they are to other women…why?…because traditionally in this society, women have been competing with each other for the attention of men for years as manifest in their cattiness, jealousy, back-handed remarks. Mormons and Muslims are proponents of multiple wives; in China prior to around the 1900’s, men had many wives. Especially as we get older and the ratio of women outnumber men plus with the notion that it is acceptable for men to marry twenty years younger but women are looked down upon for marrying younger men, women are still competing with each other for men. Before this era, having an affair was tolerated by the woman as long as her husband didn’t flaunt it.
In addition men don’t want to be the “bad guys” and would prefer the woman to end a relationship and haggle over the details and consequences. Look at the critical success of the movie Fatal Attraction. The male character (Michael Douglas) who willingly cheats on his wife comes off looking like a rose when the perceived lonely pathetic single woman (Glenn Close) is portrayed as a lunatic stalker and he ends up having to kill her to “protect” himself and his character. I hated this movie because it portrayed the Close character as evil and the Douglas character as normal and good for killing her off. He could do no wrong even though he was the one betraying his wife. This movie sanctifies men and vilifies women. The man can’t help himself because he “needs it”, yet the single woman is the man-eating husband stealer. This premise is instilled in our society even to this day.
Men in general have been allowed “off the hook” because insecure, non assertive or passive women allow it.

If this were a game, Angelina would be Ohio State and Jennifer would a kid with a Nerf football. Jennifer couldn’t be more owned in this meeting if Brad Pitt was there feeding Angelina chocolate covered strawberries and fanning her with a giant palm leaf.

Lurker/fan, Kate, AL, kk1 thanks for your enlightenment and explanation. Thanks for the “Cindy Adams column” I would have never found it. I love to read what they do in real life. They seem to be so together and in love. I hope they can stay together despite all their obstacles, being public figures. Do you remember, Donald Trump’s comment about Angie at LKL show? I am glad Larry did not bring it up or else I will write to CNN and complain. “Please, let me” try to look on the bright side. Angie and Brad are way past your comment. Yes, Angie looks skinny and tired but she is still gorgeous and talented and the most beautiful in Brad’s eyes. If I have three kids, nursing, filming, having great sex, I will be tired and skinny too.

I saw a small part of that interview with Matt, Angelina and Robert. One question that I have is, can we please stop interviewers from asking stupid questions? Diane asked how is it different from kissing Matt compared to Brad? I thought, oh boy!, all these media people really want is to get the dirt and sensationalize everything, and Diane Sawyer is no different. I really want to turn the Fruit Cake Lady on them. She won’t hesitate to tell them why do you have to ask stupid *ss questions like that.
Okay, ‘me too’ so she DID ask that?? I just asked that a few posts up!! I am just sick to my stomach. I have lost all respect (the few reamining shreds I had after that Elian Gonzalez fiasco) for Sawyer. SHE SUCKS. She’s worse than effin’ Oprah. I pray that Matt or Angie were quick enough to brush it off, not answer or give as good as they got. That effin’ B*TCH! I can’t believe her! It’s kind of like that infamous line, ‘When did you stop beating your wife?’ - Angelina cannot win!! HATE DIANE SAWYER!!

I told someone ages ago that Angie said he was not only learning French, but also Kmer, and so I had no doubt he was able to read. The first novel I ever read was the OLIVER TWIST and I was 8 at the time. The reason I was able to tackle it was because I was tutored at home from 3 by my mother. I tell people all the time that children are sponges at that age, and if you’re diligent, patient, and willing to stick with it, they’ll not only know their letters when/if they go on to formal school, but the grammer basics. It’s not about a kid being a genius (you know me, you know that is not the case) or prodigy. It’s simply about getting them started on the adventure.
She’s really a good mom.

Yeah, it is like some code or something… they feel they HAVE to ask “hard questions” to appear tough or whatever, and to get the dirt. I think DS is fairer than others.. she has always done good interviews with Brad.
Even Ann curry, who has a great relationship with Angie said something sympathetic about Jen, like “after all she has been through” and THAT surprised me.
I do believe though that Angelina will handle the question well.. she is so unflappable.

ONE DAY AT A TIME
Though marriage isn’t on the agenda, the actress (with Pitt and Maddox) wants to “slow down and enjoy this time because it’s such a special time with my family, and I don’t want to be too busy exploring the world and working.”

They have been really busy this last year…traveling to so many places, Angie giving birth, the trip to India…so many things have happened. It’s nice to hear that Angie decided to slow down a bit because she was looking very tires a while back.

I don’t know if it’s going to be in the PEOPLE, but the editor was saying today on I think ET that Angelina really wanted to be more there for her family and “cook breakfast.” Not that’s not verbatim, but “cook breakfast” was actually said.
So many things are coming to pass that I felt were truly part of Angelina’s personality. I have always believed that she had a serious “home & hearth” streak in her.
